clay farming and strawberries + a bunch of food/foraging (for the energy part) i personally liked clay farming in the mines since there was a chance for more artifacts to spawn, the beach works just as good !! i sold most of my strawberries for profit but kept some for kegs. i do have a few mods installed that helped me out though so keep in mind not to put too many expectations on urself (: it is a lot of grinding, but my goal is to make tons of gold on year 1 so i can do everything else on year two without any money issues

If you have iridium rod you could use either trap or cork bobber. Could also eat dish o' the sea or lobster bisque for +3 fishing, trout soup from willy to raise by 1 or seafoam pudding to add 4 fishing levels
