Hello, we have a little bit of problem with my girlfriend on Xbox Game pass version
Both of us are crashing in nearly every 30th minutes (like in PC time[for example 6:30, 7:00 , 7:30])
We're using the homing trick, that makes us to assume this is the problem, cuz none of our friend is crashing.
Do anyone know a way to fix this?

First thing I see is that it shows you have several duplicate mod folders. Look through then and remove the duplicated ones. If SMAPI sees duplicates, iirc none of those get loaded.

The problem is from a friend, we are on a server. I play from the official, and he does not. And when we want to move on to the next day, everything freezes and until he closes his game, we can't move forward.

We bought an alpaca animal, and on the next day it's skin got replaced to a cow's, but all the thing worked on the same way, like we still could shear, but we couldn't milk.

I restarted the game after having the issue where the monsters don't spawn in the crimson badlands or the highlands anymore.... and now the game no longer runs sve....It said in big red text that CP could not find an SVE file.

So you might remember I posted a graphics card error here a few days ago. As the wiki guide says, I found out what card I'm using and installed a driver updater for it (Intel Driver and Support Assistant). But looking further, it seems my graphics card is an exclusion from updates as it's in the chipset family--Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset (Microsoft Corp--WDDM 1.1). So it's obsolete and no longer being updated. What I'm wondering is...Is there a way to compress the game and mods to retroactively fit old graphics cards? If not, I'll probably just go back to playing the PC version on my laptop instead of desktop as that's newer and I know can run the game + mods.

Hi, having some problems on MacOS/Steam. When attempting to launch, I get the following error. Did some looking at previous posts on the forums and discord but didn’t see any others.
“open-smapi-terminal.sh” can’t be opened because (null) is not allowed to open documents in Terminal.
Verified that full disk access is set as required.
M1 Mac. Checked but it seems like the ErrorLog is not generated.
File perms seem to be fine as well.
How does UI info suite's luck/weather icons work? Are they designated on the day or do they look ahead with the false prng thing? The reason I'm asking is I'm curious if Almanac's deterministic weather/luck would mess with it
How did you set up set up the launch options for steam?

i need help with the UI info suit as the file from nexus isnt working anymore for my game
hey could anyone try and help me at the moment? I've hit a wall on trying to fix my modded game. I've had problems on and off for the entirety of June and I'm getting frustrated. Smapi says there's no errors, but the game will not load or play at all, usually the only way I've been able to correct this is uninstall everything and then redownload every single mod individually. But this is a huge hassle since I'm using 90 mods. I tried to just copy paste them all back in on this install, but that didn't work. Has anyone ever come across this sort of issue before?

well deleting pytk allowed me to get in the game, but I think I added the wrong xnb files back into the game so that's on me, I'll see what I can do to fix it, but thanks @lament prairie

I made sure I had all my xnb files in order. I can get the game to load and I take about two steps out of my bed before the game entirely crashes, either that or it tries to load me in and then freezes black screen. Smapi still says there's no errors it just full blown crashes

I've noticed it too, that it only displays what area where you or the NPC is in, but not your relative position within it. (As in, everyone outdoors in town appears stack in the city center). I also have SVE and RSV, so maybe it's because of that.

It has to be those mods. I don't use any and it shows their correct places.
Also it would still be classified as real time, since the map would show their last known position.

Hi, I was wondering in my co-op farm, we played one day with ridgeside mod installed. Can we delete it safely without having to start over? We removed and are doing a co-op and it said something like items removed to prevent a crash. But there was no red text at all in smapi. Just yellow text removing each character from ridgeside.

Well first you should remove npc adventures, its not meant for multiplayer, and your friend has some duplicate mods

these might be problems with npcadventures, as it is a C# mod and might mess with others

no worries, yes you can delete both of the smapi folders you have. You can right click and press extract all on zipped folders(make sure to remove all the random numbers after the name)
or likely, theres a subfolder in it, and you can just put that into your mods folder

Can someone help me understand how to have two separate mod groups for Stardew Valley? I play multiplayer with friends and we play vanilla SV but I want to try SVE. How can I do that without it affecting my other worlds? I have looks it on the forums and read the instructions, however, the step where I am supposed to change the "target field" left me puzzled.

I'm not sure how to explain, I'm trying to separate the two mod folders from Singleplayer and Multiplayer (since one has different mods from the other) but when I try they both continue to show the same mods

Not gonna lie, this application is more complicated that my brain can understand. To put it simply, I just want to separate my mods folder from Singleplayer to Multiplayer to where they are able to run separately without any issues.
you could always make two mod folders! one for singleplayer and one for multiplayer! whichever one you're using currently would have to be named Mods, and the other one could be named MP Mods/SP Mods or something like that. and then just rename the folders appropriately whenever you switch groups.

Mia and Henry are antisocial NPCs like Gunther and Marlon
Mia stands by her house a lot, though she also joins in on the aerobics class and occasionally goes to the saloon. Henry also goes to the saloon on Fridays.
They don’t show up at all. Not even in the relationship tab
they won't show up in the relationship tab b/c they're antisocial NPCs as Elizabeth mentioned

No, I didn't change anything. The monsters just stopped spawning and we tried restarting the day. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything. My wife has the same updates, same everything.... But I haven't fiddled with any configs or manifests it anythinf

You only have to get the top one. The optional one, "Toolbar Icons CP" requires you have the main mod but it is not required itself

this was able to work
most of the yellow errors i'm seeing are PFM ones which mean something is probably seplled wrong or you don't have another mod that needs it. like for example, "23:26:37 WARN Producer Framework Mod No fuel found for 'Satvia', producer 'Extruder' and input '766'. This rule will be ignored." You get this because, in PPJA Cannabis Kit, the crop is actually spelled "Sativa" and the mod creator just misspelled it. And this error, "23:26:27 WARN Producer Framework Mod No Output found for 'Champagne', producer 'Keg' and input 'Champagne Grape'. This rule will be ignored." is because you don't have a mod called "Champagne Wishes" installed, which is necessary for those products. none of these errors are going to break your game imo

Seems like a bug in Vortex. The path for config.json is pointing at an older mod version (1.1.11 instead of 1.1.15), which presumably doesn't exist anymore.
If you just delete the config.json file, it should get recreated automatically with the default settings.

Hello, although I played a lot of Stardew already I've never used mods before so I got a couple questions 😄
Is it safe to install them mid playthrough? Im in Fall Year 4 on my save and would like to get a mod that keeps grass during winter, can I just do that or is it better to install mods when starting a new save?
I'd imagine bigger ones like SVE might be problematic if you just throw them into a fairly progressed save?
Also, is it possible to use specific mods for specific savefiles or will they always apply to every single one?

Yes it's safe mid-game, SVE is also fine but it's recommended to install it in a new game lest you want to give out a little more elbow grease to fix anything odd, yes on the third question.

Is there like a certain amount of mods that you can have in stardew or can you use as many as you want? Not all but most of my mods that i would want are kinda like texture packs? There have been performance improvements! So your game should load a lot quicker now. Keep in mind that if you use Pytk (a mod), it disables some of these performance improvements.

Has anyone had any troubles with season buildings not being properly loaded when the season changes? I'm using flower valley and whenever the season changes it doesnt load properly and I have to quit to title and reload my save for it to correct itself. Is there a fix for this?

sorry for the long message, but i'm having some issues. whenever i try to launch stardew from smapi it closes the game immediately but steam still says the game is running. i've tried just about every solution i could find on the internet and none have worked
my terminal doesn't give me an error message i can submit because it thinks that i closed the game, rather than crashing it.
i was able to get it running earlier by redownloading smapi but ran into the same issue around half an hour into the game and now that doesn't work. i only have 10 or so mods, and most of them are small fixes or needed to run other mods, though i do have stardew expanded and that's seemed to be the biggest offender. i'm on a Macbook Pro running Monterey 12.4 so that probably causes some issues

(The Windows and R keys on your keyboard. It's a global keybind, it doesn't matter which windows you have open.)
You might need to remove all your mods, then re-add a bunch at a time until the issue comes back to see which mod(s) are causing it.

@ArcaneDescent @JessYoMama You can do it without a mod. Go to %appdata%/StardewValley and open the file called startup_preferences. ctrl + f for "playerLimit" and you'll find something like this: <playerLimit>-1</playerLimit>.
Change the -1 to any number you like...

Howdy, howdy! I'm trying to use certain mods but rather than them ending with .zip it ends with .rar and I don't know how exactly to compress it in a way that it'll work on Mac. Doesn't anyone know what to do for Mac? If not, then it's fine!
The easiest way is often using an online .rar unpacker

For a .zip file, just right-click (or long-press on Android) it and choose the option like extract or uncompress. I downloaded it and then I compressed it, but it turns it into a .zip that just turns it back into an .rar when I open it.
I don't know how to turn it into a 'folder' like the rest exactly, usually it does it when I double click.

well rar is best used with 7-zip and when you need to unpack right click and click open with 7-zip then select unpack and it should make a folder with the files. then you drag and drop that folder into the mods folder.

you need to un-pack the .rar
not package it.

and you dont re-compress. the rar file is the compressed form. you gotta uncompress it and take it out of the box by unpacking or unziping it

"SMAPI found an issue with a 'Maps/FarmCave' map load: the '[CP] Froststar11's Fairy Spring Farm Cave' content pack reordered the original tilesheets, which often causes crashes."

it uh physically isnt possible to "Place" houses via file explorer...
there are markers on the map that tells the game where you place the starting houses

Looks to be related to some npc scedules not being registered right or something.... might be a modded character...

the data for each player is stored in the house, if you want to know why they have to exist

i wish they didnt require the houses and could use like an expanding apartment building sorta thing that holds basic supplies... it would be funny to watch hundreds of people walking around xD though the lag that would cause would be unsustainable and maybe dangerous xD

so im having to jump through a lot of hoops, mostly downgrade stardew valley so i can play on a 32 bits system with mods, aka avoiding the compatibility branch
after doing all of that and managing to get stardew 1.5.4 running + smapi 3.12.8, it now gives me these two errors

Is there a need to report bugs with Artisan Valley?
The Handbattered Ebi Tempura needs Batter for the recipe to be purchasable but Batter is not from a required dependency of Artisan Valley. Not sure where it's from
With 1.10.7 Json Assets, Batter was removed from the recipe but not from the unlock requirements

but for some reason when manifest.json was outside orignally before i screwed it up it didnt work so then i put it I18n then it still didnt then i moved it back out and it worked... makes sense

Content Patcher updates quickly if Pathos finds bugs (or receives bug reports), so
I usually update my mods within two days
For other mods tho, you can compare the version number in their manifest.json with the version on Nexus/Moddrop and see if they match
If it's the most recent download but they don't match, it could be that the author didn't update their manifest.json and you have to edit it yourself
