@lavish marlin I've triggered an odd bug in SpriteMaster. I detailed it at https://github.com/ameisen/SV-SpriteMaster/issues/13 - it appears to specifically affect SpriteMaster and @outer turret 's Juliet & Jessie maps - but only with certain SpriteMaster options, and only on larger load orders.

Yes. That was the default configuration.
Configuration is included in the minimum load order I linked.

SM's default configuration isn't supposed to change the result of pathfinding

Yes it was because the issue sounded the same
It was an access violation while opening the shipping bin
So it may not be related to SpriteMaster at all if you have those mods installed that I mentioned
Ah gotcha, I just reported for SpriteMaster because it's the words in red I saw before smapi just closed when trying to open the game, after my game crashed from using the shipping bin

Yeah, either Better Shipping Bin or Better Chests. I would add compatibility, but their mod is closed source.
I don't know: I normally need a stack trace to find out, but .NET 5 doesn't let you catch them.
You have to run it from the terminal so you can get the error output

Where the access violation occurs shouldn't happen, it's completely related to something that Better Shipping Bin does.
It's when Better Chests tries to access ItemGrabMenu.context which shouldn't be an issue.
So just get rid of it and I should be good

Just to add, I installed SpriteMaster (default config) and have not successfully reproduced it with my modload only Yagis.
Initially I had two warps leading to the same end map - one from an inaccessible map - and thought that might be the cause, but removing that did not help Yagi's game.
The current logic SM uses should be effectively the same as the default game's. Hrmm.
Yagi and i don't have a lot of crossover with smapi style mods. I can share my log later (it's dawn here, I just woke up) if that might help too.

The black screen is the installer. Make sure the screen is active, like click on it, then press 1.

One thing you can try is to launch the installer from teh command line, that way it doesn't immediately close
So if there's an error that flashes on the screen, it'll stay there

Your antivirus might remove or report SMAPI/mod files. This is almost always a false positive, meaning the files don't contain a trojan.

It means that your antivirus might mark a file as dangerous, but that's almost always false with SMAPI and mod files. They're not viruses.

so ive got some weird shit going on. my beehouses are no longer functional. i had both better beehouses and walk of life's quality of life installed, but i removed better beehouses because it didnt seem to be compatible with the new version of walk of life and automate; honey no longer had quality when it was automatically collected. so i messed around a little, edited my configs, and removed better beehouses. now my beehouses are completely useless, not registered as machines by UI info suite (they dont show how long it will be until they produce), and if they do show there is honey to be collected (for the past few days its been just nothing) it disappears when i click on it, and does not collect with automate either. when i try to manually collect the honey the icon disperses, but i don't have any honey in my inventory. i checked my harmony summary and it doesnt seem like anything is out of the ordinary. should i just count on my beehouses being obsolete in this save? here's my log: https://smapi.io/log/d6b9a01df05b48f0bfb8bf50d3acfd88

you shouldnt have to copy anything. if you cant find the folder go into steam and right click stardew. hover over manage and then press "browse local files". it will show you where steam keeps stardew's folder

Seems like you're not the only one with weird shit going on.
When trying to create a new farm, with the IF2F Farm (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3561), it ends up into an infinite loading screen after force playing the grandpa intro (even if skip intro box was ticked) - and when trying to create the savefile without any mods but IF2F, the game launches flawlessly (and loads the farm), but then when adding the mods back, it doesn't, and sends me back on the title screen

im going to be honest i looked through the log and all i can really make out is that there's an error with the game loading the farmhouse (i think??). if you have any other mods which patch the farmhouse try removing those and see what happens

it's odd because the logic for generating the paths in SM and the game itself aren't... really different.
I was thinking perhaps there was some sort of counter overflow of warp points - but I have no idea how the game or SM work related to them
you'd certainly know if there were an overflow
it's a variant of Dijkstra's anyways, so recursive pathing isn't allowed
(which is a limitation that the game has)

Hello, I was wondering if any of you know if this sort of mod exists. When playing co-op mode, is it possible that Hosts character after waking up, just stayed next to the bed and went automatically to sleep before 1am? Cuz like, host can play alone on the co-op world, but the other person no. So like to fix that, is there a mod that does that?

Is it possible that it's choking on a broken map patch? It works just fin when optimisation is disabled.
It's really hard to say until I isolate it.
The game uses a weird broken version of Dijkstra. SM uses full Dijkstra.

You can see in the videos, something goes really wrong.
In my testing, it only seems to affect NPCs that start on that map. NPCs can pass through just fine.

what's the issue you're having?
the animal chhoser mod isn't working, nor is the canning machine, the smoker for smoking fish, the keg nor is the extruder making wax from honey. That's just the issues, not the errors
I got an error when placing the auto feeder: "Huh. Something went wrong processing machines. The error log has the technical details.
The error log said: [17:48:19 ERROR SMAPI] The StardewValley.Menus.ShopMenu menu crashed while drawing itself. SMAPI will force it to exit to avoid crashing the game.
I know some of that may be as simple as forgetting to put coal in the chest, but I don't know about the errors

it looks like you have a lot of mods that have not been loaded whatsoever by smapi
that's all going to be under 'skipped mods' in red text near the top, and this section also indicates why it was not loaded

most of your errors look like you're just missing required mods which you'll be able to find on the nexus page for them under 'requirements'
so it's an easy fix!
i'm assuming the mods with issues are not working because they weren't loaded in the first place- if the issue is still happening after ensuring you have all the required mods, upload a new smapi log just like you did before and link it here @lavish scroll
your smapi log updates and overwrites itself automatically during each new game session, btw!
I tried to double check every requirement and install them as I installed the mods that needed them...

smapi automatically skips loading mods that do not have the required dependencies installed
You should also get rid of Custom Farming Redux. That mod isn't supported or updated anymore and is very outdated.

Ok... This was useful info... I'm starting here working through those things...
It can seem intimidating at first, but adding mods is really pretty simple once you get used to it. You just download the one you want, unzip the folder, then just copy/paste the folder into your Mods folder. Done! Sometimes you just have to make sure to check the Requirements part of the mod to make sure you don't miss any. It will usually say which ones are needed and which are Optional.
The only hard part is making sure all your mods are compatible with each other. xD
We pretty much did this... as a fresh start with freshly downloaded mods from Nexus. I didn't see where the ones you mentioned said that were no longer compatible...
- Skill Prestige 1.2.3 because it's no longer compatible. Please check for a new version at https://smapi.io/mods
- Animal Chooser 1.4.0-unofficial.1 because it's no longer compatible. Please check for a new version at https://smapi.io/mods

@lavish scroll basically what this means is that there's a tag on the mod that says something like [DGA], the tag should say [JA] instead
you should be able to find it simply by indivisually searching for them by name on nexus

If you click on the author's name you will find all the other mods you need

You can still share a log. You can delete out the part you don't want us to see before uploading it. Or edit the error log before you upload it to replace your name with something random.
in the text box you upload your log into on smapi.io , you can just backspace the part with your name in it

Follow the "Using XNB mods" link from Governor-bot. Keep in mind the XNB mods often are broken when the game updates, so an old XNB mod might not work.
I haven't played SDV in about a year and I'm updating my mods. SDV Expanded looks to have changed its mod requirements. Does anyone know where I might find a list of the files from an old version of the mod so I can see what is obsolete? Or maybe a file I may currently have that may show dependencies?

I thought it was because of the chessing land mod but after deleting it I downloaded a bigger farmhouse mod and started decorating it for a long time and when I went to sleep and save, my game crashed again and I got the same error

Seems to be a bug in the Custom Furniture mod then. You can report it on that mod's page, though the author hasn't been around lately.

Files with the extension .zip, .rar, or .7z are archive files, which you can extract to get the actual files inside. For a .zip file, just right-click (or long-press on Android) it and choose the option like extract or uncompress. For .rar and .7z, you need to install third-party software first, like 7-zip https://7-zip.org on Windows, Keka https://keka.io on macOS, PeaZip https://peazip.github.io on Linux, or ZArchiver https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver on Android.

heya!! my game screen seems to keep freezing at the same spot on my farm and i'm not sure how to fix it. it's only the screen that's frozen, bc i can hear the menu opening and closing whenever i press Esc
i have a feeling it's pytk that's causing the error, but its frozen a few times before i downloaded it, so i wanna check if any other mods are making this happen so i can fix all of them

you can use reset terrain features mod to do automatic cleanup and noclip mode mod to access stuff that you can't reach normally

You've got a few outdated mods and json duplicates
Go into the these folders and either delete one of the duplicates, or change their names in their json file
Custom Music, TMXL and PYTK are also load heavy mods. I could recommend seeing if you can yeet them out
custom music shouldn't be a problem, although currently it's probably not needed because there are no content packs for it
removing pytk would be my recommendation too

well, parts of ayeisha and charlie need tmxl, so unless you can find different versions of them you should probably remove them from the mods folder (to avoid other parts of the mods possibly loading)

Probably a Windows UI scaling thing, there are things you can do, but the most surefire way is to set scaling to 100% before you start smapi

My experience is more with Rimworld, but I found that YouTubers tend to grab flashy but unstable loadouts.
And just edit out stuff or end the series when things start going wrong.
With the exception being devs or really dedicated channels.
Another hazard is that things can change a lot in modding communities, and a youtuber's loadout may not necessarily be stable by the time you watch it.

Lots of this applies to modpacks/rec lists as well, though there isnt a ton of that in the SDV community.

Anyone know how to fix JSON shuffle? Want to possibly add some mods that have additional items but can't find anything online about how to fix that if it happens

A Json Shuffle is when your Json Assets items rearrange their numerical IDs or different players have different numerical IDs assigned to the same object. See here for details: https://stardewmodding.wiki/wiki/Json_Shuffle
Anytime you change your JA mods you can risk a shuffle. In multiplayer, you need to have exactly the same mods in exactly the same order as your friends.
Anytime you have a shuffle and then solve it, old objects may remain affected but new ones should be fine. You can sell or trash the old items, and spawn in new ones if needed with CJB item spawner.

The saving time is fine now by the way. Only loading takes a while to start up but its okay.
New item mods arent guarantee'd to shuffle stuff.
You can check the before/after effects by typing ja_summary in the console before and after you install the mod.

Doesn't look like you crashed from your log. Do it again and then immediately do the log again. Don't load the game back up or it will delete the log

The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

So the configure bar is out of the way and I want to apologize cause I'm an idiot. So the picture I've shown up there is 60 items in the chest. It shows 72 slots there. I just never counted the chest cause I thought it would show only the 60 slots. So I'm sorry about the false report.
Smapi logs seems fine, but i cant get seasonal outfits to work.
Oh I didn't even notice that either. No worries, yeah it'll automatically give you access to extra rows if somehow the chest is holding more than you had it set for.
