Hey y'all, I wanted to ask if there's a way to forcibly remove something in my inventory? I have modded shoes on my farmer and a JSON issue happened and now I can't remove it from them
So Willy is gone again. Didn't change the .json at all. He was there Thursday, but on Friday he poofed again. What could be making this happen? Could there be some issue reading the sprite per load?

Yeah it's not that uncommon for npcs to just suddenly disappear tbh. Had it happen to me a few times, though it goes away a few days after.
He’s been showing up and going away randomly per day. Is there any fix mod for that by off chance?
Not likely. Having a log to look at might help though, you might have some sort of mod that alters his schedule or something.

That only essentially changes how he looks, wouldn't think it would affect his schedule.
I agree, which is why I imagine he didn't switch schedules, just isn't tangible
Did you recently update any mod? There is a console command to clear the players inventory I think but I just can't pull it out of my head rn. 
The only ones I see being an issue is I guess non destructive npcs? What mods did you download before this issue started to happen?
The only mod I have with new schedules doesn't effect Willy (SVE and one for spouses)

But betcha his sprite isn't getting reset
As in it isn't being placed in the right area?
So, every sprite is part of a spritesheet
16X32 normally
But for.willy, he gets some animations that are larger: 16x64
This completely changed the indexing of that spritesheet
The indexing is usually just changes for that animation
And changed back.afterwards

I think my cooking recipes are interferring with some of it, cause sometimes I learn recipes as cooking levels up and they are called uh.... "null"
Ah! Well, they just seem to poof into the void, and not even show up in the cooking collection screen, so I'm not toooo worried about them as they have just decided to poof away entirely.
LoC? I dont know what that is. All I know is that I wanted to add extra Community Center bundle - in the kitchen to make it slightly more "spicy" and after that my game just froze and broke

I removed the shoes mod I downloaded but even removing that didn't remove the glitched shoes

sometimes that lets you trash more things

You could probably make a temporary patch mod that adds a shoe with ID 3012

I'll try adding the shoes mod back again, I did it once before and it didn't fix the issue sadly. It was the Hype Shoes mod from Nexus.
I sadly am not smart enough to do a patch export or putting ids but I'm sure I'll figure it out 😅

if you send the save here (zipped so that it's small), i could remove the shoes from it. it's pretty easy to do

I'm having stuttering when using SMAPI. Does anyone know of a fix? I saw a bunch of people on reddit having the same problem and I am really upset cuz I wanted to play with mods but I'm not gonna use mods if its stuttering every 3 seconds.

you don't need to really, you can use reset terrain features to fix most of the things, and no-clip mode mod lets you fix other things

Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).

This doesn't move items that are out of bounds on the new map. If you need to clean up, you can...
- temporarily switch back to the previous farm type;
- or use a mod like Noclip Mode: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3900 ;
- or use the world_clear console command (enter
help world_clearfor details).
now you may have items/buildings out of bounds after doing so, as Vibel mentioned above you may need to do a bit of noclipping to fix that stuff
oh yeah there you go 
i would recommend leaving it on the Large version until you've moved stuff in bounds, or just using noclip to get anything you can't reach normally

you can just comment out that patch by adding // in front of each line (like the first line, // Mailboxes)
you can delete it entirely, but i would recommend commenting it out in case you want it back later or anything

Hi, sorry for the silly question. I'm new to modding and I'm trying to download PPJA - Artisan Valley. I have all the requirements, and I found 4 folders in the [PPJA] Artisan Valley folder after extracting the zip file:

[MFM] Artisan Valley Letters
[PFM] Artisan Valley
[CP] Artisan Valley
I read in the thread (from Elizabeth) that it's recommended to use the JA version. Should I drop all 4 folders into the Mods folder? Or do I just need the [JA] Artisan Valley Machine Goods?

tbh unless you have a backup I dont know if you could get that greenhouse back, your best bet is to use a buildable greenhouse mod (this one is made by yariazen, who is on this server) https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/11831

it's winter star in my game. my giftee is an RSV NPC. I forgot to turn on full festivals in RSV settings prior to entering the town square. so I went into settings and enabled RSV festivals, while at winter star. Then they get yanked to the forced global cutscene once its done.

After the Heart event where im supposed to give him 60 pieces of iron, he vanished into nowhere. When I used the NPC map mod he's in the joja mart, but he's not there. Is there any way I can fix the game to make him reappear?

How can I see an event again? The first time it was bugged for me, I restarted the day with the mod properly installed, but for some reason it was marked as seen so it did not show again
I know there's Event Repeater but it seems to mostly be for modmakers?
if you know the event ID you can use the console command debug ebi <eventID> to force the event to play but afaik there's no way to mark an event unseen with just console commands

@tidal cipher extract this into your [CP] Flower Valley folder in your Mods folder and see if that fixes your issue. It should ask you to overwrite the files, just say Yes to All

there's lots of conditional patching, and overlaying multiple patches onto each other, and reusing the same tilesheet for two different patches, and so on and so forth 😆
helps performance a bit but at the cost of human-readability
fortunately, you don't have to fully understand all that in order to make edits 😆 just poking and prodding at it is usually sufficient

hi so i have this weird problem where at 8am ingame sebastian decides to just run left indefinitely from working on his bike and idk what his problem is but i feel like theres probably an explanation in the log
pic of him in the middle of some crops that normally you cant walk through!
he gets stuch at the second row of crops in the very right rectangle section and then after the whole ? thing appears he just starst running and doesnt stop
it could be a problem with a custom farm map adding a warp, but the farm is blacklisted for npc pathing so that shouldnt really happen

Soo I added kind off in the middle of playthrough on new save file Community Kitchen bundle - sooo extra bundle to do right? I have SVE which later changes the look of the kitchen from vanilla to new look. What happened tho - for a reason I dont understand tho - is on my original save apparently the pantry bundle died cause game thought that I finished it already (this is what I think happened reading the log cause Im not a modder really). What I fail to understand is why it works when I re-added it to my new save file on my day 5 in game, but doesnt worked from the start of my original game. The only other mod that affects bundles in my Community Center is just minor tweaks from the mod "SystemWorks' Bundle Tweaks" - disabled late game bundles from the start.

Sooo I had right now my test drive of the mods - the Tweaked bundles + community kitchen and it works now normaly. Why my previous save died? No idea. Well no, scratch that, one idea - I had to eneabled LateGameBundles version from Tweaked bundles and the game didnt liked it. Its the only thing that could cause it. Other mods I have dont make sense - like adding outside CC a treehouse or a school next to the playground.
so is there a fix to my issue? (sorry if i sound impatient, just been waiting about 2 hours, i just really wanna start a new save is all, since ya know, havent played in a while)

I'm having a pretty specific bug: Whenever my character receives something important and holds it over his head, like when Clint gives me the Furnace blueprint or Marlon gives me the rusty sword, the sprite of the item is missing and my character just holds up thin air. Anyone have any ideas as to what might cause this? It's not the end of the world but it's mildly annoying
I dont have lux, i think its an issue with Raffax and Golden crops
Add a false dependency from Lux’s food mod to radioactive tools and see if it helps

I just saw it say that Radioactive crashed cause of some spring thing, but that never stopped it working before, I added and updated quite a few mods, might have busted something

The reason radioactive tools crashed is because Lux's Food Mod edits the tilesheet where every single object lives and turns it into a PyTK image. Radioactive tools can't deal with that and crashes.
For the Raffadax/Golden items thing:

It shouldn't cause you issues if those items are removed, the artisan goods are coded for specific crop names, so the golden cauliflower from their mod will work in machines mine went into.

Something in that link worked, it finally loaded. 
Apparently the creator uploaded the mod's source code to GitHub, so I just built a new dll with that one line of code fixed. Here is is, if anyone wants to play Love of Cooking without the invisible item glitch. (Just replace the .dll file in the mod folder with this one)

you should definitely try removing one of your ptyks, you arent able to load some custom maps

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

If your computer is older, in some cases you may need to use the compatibility branch in order to play Stardew Valley, but SMAPI does not run with the compatibility branch. if you install a new version theres an option to unistall when doing so
you might also want to check the pathway is removed in steam too

Hello peeps. I can not get SMAPI to launch on manjaro (arch linux) 5.15.4 after triple checking all dependencies i could find. dotnet, aspnet, mono, xterm etc. I am using the latest stardew steam updates, and the latest smapi installs off the .io site. I have tried installing it using the auto installer (successful with no errors in both konsole and xterm) and manually. In all circumstances the game just launches vanilla, as if smapi doesn't exist. I have edited the stardew modding api (renamed StardewValley) to use xterm, konsole and gnome terminals, all with the same silent results each time.The game is installed in the default location of /home/username/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/. I have checked the log location, but no logs are being generated. launch options in steam are also empty. I am at my wits end and would appreciate any assistance.

hello! i have a ton of mods so my game takes forever to load, but now it just doesnt load my save until i go into the console where smapi is running and hit enter, which makes this text appear-
"[Content Patcher] SMAPI fixed maps loaded by this mod to prevent errors. See the log file for details."
its only after that shows up the other mods start loading in the log and idk whats going on, anyone have any advice?

The mod causing that text is most likely Content Patcher loaded asset 'Maps/FarmHouse2_marriage' (for the '[CP] Redisigned FarmHouse Layout' content pack)., but it seems more likely that you're accidentally in Select Mode

The errors in your log should point you towards which folders are empty

Ok so I made sure I wasn’t in select mode, which helped but it still took like 2 minutes of nothing in the console before this text appeared and things started loading so I would now like some more direction on what’s making that warning show up

Okay, so there are a few issue here. One is that you've gotten rid of the 3 mods that come bundled with SMAPI, which are generally important to keep around. You can get them back by either finding where they vanished to or reinstalling SMAPI.
Once you do that, you are missing a lot of dependencies, and then you have some random vortex folders lying around
You can read the red text to see what the issues are
In particular, it looks like you've tried to install SVE but none of the dependencies

It's not actually clear that the farmhouse mod is the only thing going on during that time, you can look under Trace to see there's a lot going on under the hood

I am on SVE and just completed boilerroom, but I didn't claim the rewards cause I did it all at once. How do I get the individual bundle awards now even tho the tablet is gone?

And also Get Glam entirely
Since your farmer on the Saves menu was wearing/displaying some part of a Get Glam pack, that's now missing
And the game is sad
My guess would be a hair, based on the filename
So should I recover that file, get my farmer out of it and then delete it again? Or is my save just screwed haha
I deleted that mod because it wasn't working properly
Try putting Get Glam and/or the Get Glam pack back, then swapping your farmer hair/clothes, then removing Get Glam
