so wait i have all the prerequisite mods installed with the nexus mod mangager do i remove them for it and instal them manualy or leave them alone?
I don't know the first thing about the Nexus mod manager unfortunately
My personal recommendation is to install everything manually for the reasons stated above, but I don't even know enough to tell you how to turn off the Nexus mod manager without breaking things

So- I played the game normally first and it worked fine, then it worked fine with mods but when I tried to get on to the game yesterday it was running v slow and almost didn't even open the game?
it can take a while to first load the game when you have a lot of mods installed - that's totally normal! if the actual game is laggy tho, i'm not sure what could be causing that :/ maybe a bad mod?

Does Stardew Valley Reimagined 2 work with SDVE? It looks vanilla to me

I don't think so.
That is normal for modding. It can take a while to load sometimes. You can share a log if you want us to see if there is anything specific that catches our attention though.

Is there a working PyTK for the current build of the game anywhere? When i try and run the 1.22.9 version for the beta it crashes in launch.

ok, I don't have the original game but I have version 1.5.5, the smapi I also have it in its latest version and I installed 2 mods in the game, both their latest version (one of them the mods list update), and when I want to review the Smapi (the command console) to see if I install the mods opens and closes in 1 second. When I open the game to see if any mods are installed, I don't see any mods installed. What I can do? -Thanks.

Ok, so I see you didn't read my question. I'll ask again, my game crashes on launch when I use that version of PyTK, is that something I can fix or am I just not able to play the game?

so, for some people pytk just causes a crash to desktop
we're not quite sure why
thankfully, basically every mod is moving away from pytk right now
for many of them, waiting and leaving it alone fixes it

Random thing happen: all my items in my chest 'poofed' the items are there- but the icons are non visble and it only became Winter 1 ( fall it was working jsut fine

Json asset problems maybe? You can try to spawn them in again with Item Spawner and see if that fixes it.

Ah that's probably the culprit.
You can set the affected mods as false dependencies in Lux's Food Mod's manifest and that should fix it.
More Recipes - a part of the PPJA mod bundle that has Artisan Valley and what not. There's a recipe that I can't seem to get to show up (Mint Tea). The github page says it shows up in Winter from Gus, but he didn't have it. I checked the actual file in my mod file and it say 'spring summer fall' so i waited til spring and i still don't see it with Gus.
How to fix:
Run patch summary
Make a list of all mods that touch springobjects.png
Then add false dependencies to Lux's Food Mod for those

I notice that More Recipes is a bit...bugged in general for me. For example one recipe that uses vegetables - Broth - keeps pulling basically wahtever it can find to make it. It used up all the Mint Leaves I planted so idk

If you open LFM's manifest, you'll see some examples already there.

there's also a "placement order thing" but god knows how I placed these fridges
An Herb isn't a real category, it's a Vegetable under the hood

It might be more helpful to look at the manifest.json in Lux's Food Mod, you just need to copy a section under dependencies and patten-match

Hello again - bugging you guys about the More recipes mod again. i tried using the console commands to get the Mint Tea recipe and this is what I got back:

Most BFAV Content Packs don't require you do to anything beyond adding them to your Mod Folder . Or are you trying to add your own custom animal?

You right clicked and ran install on windows.bat

i installed on smapi.io, i had to extract the files through winrar so i did that, and then i ran it and the installer finished
ill uninstall it and try again
so, in general, for net 5.0 stuff, you might want to reinstall everything
that includes the game
because the game bundles a copy of NET 5.0 and that's what SMAPI runs off of
If that doesn't work I guess try installing NET 5.0 seperately (download from Microsoft's webpage)

Maybe! a friend of mine would always crash instantly while trying to play Phasmophobia (not SDV), turns out it was just 100 chrome tabs using all the runtime memory on her PC.

Every rock, stone, and ore node in the game is labelled "Stone", so there's like 30 entries for "Stone", and 390 happens to be the crafting resource

Just installed latest update for SVExpanded, but my game has lost the custom extra npcs, checked the discussion on SVE Nexus, but this issue wasn't addressed (though someone had same problem). Have checked I have updated all the associated files.
Not red, but not loaded due to "have you uninstalled a custom npc file. checked the error log, seems SVE was not installing properly. Deleted files it said were duplicates, will try again
when I start the game the loading screen freezes PD when I open it with SAMPI to run the mods is when it happens to me

Got it working again but Grandpas Farm is very different! May have not been using new SVE farm previously, but it puts all my neatly stored stuff into places I cannot access! May just have to abandon all my old farms and start again. What fun!

So if you add something that the code doesn't actually set up, it will just be ignored.

that was required on older BFAV versions. not sure if the old type BFAV content packs are compatible with the newer BFAV that doesn't require you to change the config

i don't know what's the problem, but the No idea what '281' is! warning looks like it's either a small mistake in a mod or a problem with native files, because that's the id for the chanterelle mushroom. reset game files maybe if you haven't tried it already

the content.json of the mod is badly formatted, you can upload it to smapi.io/json if you want to try to fix it yourself. your SVE install is messed up though, i'd remove all of it and do a reinstall (and check the new requirements)

Upon further inspection I think the issue is the lack of "Changes": [ (since it had a bracket at the end but not the beginning). Currently launching, I'll give the OP my finds probably if it works.
Well I didn't get an error, but it thinks the images in the assets folded don't exist

I have already downloaded the unofficial PYTK's files,
It works fine but today, I finally have the energy to force through to do some portraits art for my mod.
As I was going to check in-game for the portraits, while smapi is loading and doing its thing, it stated that PYTK has a new update from Jan5, is the updated one working or not? if not I going to wait and keep using this unofficial one which works fine for me atm.

i really doubt it, because that mod replaces the greenhouse map too (and does some other stuff with it). probably need to disable the IF2R greenhouse in its config if you want to use it. you could however use the IF2R greenhouse with this probably You can change the upgrade maps used by replacing Greenhouse_1.tmx and/or Greenhouse_2.tmx

I have a custom greenhouse mod, and in IFR2 I do disable the greenhouse 🙂 Just remember to disable it again when there's an update 😂
My Custom Crystalarium mod bugged out

I just started a new game today, I made a completely new mods folder. Every time I enter the bus stop to do the ridgside into scene on Day 1, my game crashes.

you have quite a few mods that are outdated
try updating them and see if it fixes things
Remove Pytk and TMXLoader, start your game and watch the smapi window. It should give you errors about certain mods not being able to be added because of missing dependencies. After that just remove those and you should be good.
Easiest way of removing them is put a "." in front of the name, SMAPI will skip them but they're still in the folder, so easy to reverse

Immediatly on launch, smapi launches then crashes with that error. it happens when pyTK is the only mod loaded, so its not due to another mod
I googled it and ended up in a very confusing page on dotnet's official github repo, so...
apparently it's "an error message dotnet is not supposed to leak anymore"
so try reinstalling the game, but otherwise...I don't actually know.
hm. well, most mods are attempting to move away from pytk so there's hope you won't need it soon-ish
you could try installing the NET 5.0 runtime for your OS and using SMAPI 3.13.0 (the last version that uses the system NET 5.0 vs the bundled version)

For most mods, it isn't an issue, but some can be quite long like Medieval Buildings.
You need to extract them and then put them in your mods folder.

as far as I know I am set up correctly because in my regular mods folder SMAPI works and loads trhe game, it just started skipping STF and not seeing Predictions when I tried to install SVE

as far as I know, the current issues are 1) DGA and JA clothing don't play nice together, and 2) DGA crops/food/recipes don't play nice with many other frameworks. So I'd say use DGA for furniture and misc items, and JA for food and crafting.

@tired brook Do you know if there are any issues in which setting up mod groups on game pass does not work? I've been trying to help @copper wadi and everything is set up correctly as far as I can tell. There aren't specific instructions on the wiki for mod groups on game pass from what I've seen.

@copper wadi You can't launch SMAPI directly on the Xbox version, you need to run it through the Xbox app (which is why you need to rename StardewModdingAPI.exe to Stardew Valley.exe). There's no way to set command-line arguments for Xbox app games that I know of, unfortunately.

When I load the save from menu it doesn't load and stays on black screen

SVE can take a long time to load on Android. How long have you waited?
None of those turn it off from what I can tell.
It usually takes about 30 sec, but I waited a few minutes and it hadn't loaded

If you want to actually change the mod yourself, you might want to ask for guidance in #making-mods-general. You will need to add an option to the ConfigSchema and add a "When" to every bit of code that changes their outfits like that. (Kinda off-topic for the help channel here.)

You didn't download the STF and SAAT mod. Pelican Fiber and Range Display aren't compatible anymore, but an unofficial update can be found in https://smapi.io/mods. Just search and download them ^^

You can put it in a subfolder under Mods, then add a dot in front of the folder name when you want to disable it. SMAPI will ignore mod folders containing a dot entirely.

You can create a zip file of the whole Mods folder, and share that instead. Then your friend just needs to unzip it on their computer.

Maybe try starting the download on Nexus again. It might have been a fluke.

I recommend using the ModDrop application instead of the website.
i dont even understand. expanded took a bit of time for my initial download but nothing like this. and its 130 on monday. there is no traffic rn

I also have issues with the dialogue expansion which prevents me to talk to Robin when I start a new file
i do not have internet and i dont need it much so i just use hotspot when i do need it or i use my phone data for everything. its a weird way to live but it works
did you unzip the files you downloaded or did you just move them over to mods folder?
I did unzip the files I download and move to the mod folder
they say why they arent working if you read that. some have mutiple copies. no longer compatible. your missig some frameowrk mods

Can be hard to separate them out but it's easier to do if you take it one error at a time.
Then run and make a new log after you fix a few things.
(I'm easily overwhelmed by the red text and will copy paste a line to notepad or something so I can see it by itself.)
When I see red, my eyes cross.

what about all the other mods that you need to run Expanded, where do I put those? Do I put them in the Expanded folder or separate and disable all of them with dots?
You can have multiple mods under one folder: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Getting_Started#Install_mods. All the mods under the dot-named folder will be ignored.
@tired brook so I can indeed put/keep them all in the Stardew Expanded folder, from what you're saying and this link tells me
i dont have them in the same folder and they work just fine you just need the unofficial versions of Pytk and..the other one lol

SVE no longer requires PyTK or TMXL as of 1.14

Depends on your mod list.
SVE can still be used with PyTK and TMXL, it'll just cause super long load times.
So I did this and restarted my computer. The mod finally transferred! Currently opening the game now. Hopefully my computers runs it lol. Thank you!

remove everything from the "Expanded" folder except for SVE

Personally, what I would do if I were in your shoes is go back a level to the Mods folder itself.
Instead of using dots. Because otherwise, you would really need to do the exact same thing inside the mods folder.
Or have to remember what mods goes with what every time.

I sent you a DM earlier trying to explain.
Basically that.
So have 'Mods' which is your active loadout. And then like 'Expanded' which is your SVE loadout. Then when you want to switch, rename 'Mods' to 'Testing', and 'Expanded' to 'Mods'.
(It's kind of a pain in the butt either way, but that way keeps them isolated.)

Nexus being asleep today.
You might have, say, a version of Content Patcher in both Mod folders, but you wouldn't risk getting the duplicate errors if you accidentally loaded up without disabling a folder. You would just load up and be like, "Hey, this isn't the right setup."
Then just close the game without saving and it's fine.

well my computer didnt explode when i started my game so i guess im not a failure. i do still need updates for the shop overhaul but i guess im waiting till the compilation is upadted cause im not doing each one individually lol
