Sometimes with .rar files, you need to collect the files into a folder before putting them in Mods. If it's like assets, content.json, and manifest.json instead of just InsertNameOfMod folder, then you'd have to do that.

for the more big crops mod, do the custom crops work just like any other big crop? and for big crops if l leave the small 3x3 with little crops, will they turn into one? or does it have to be a big one as it finishes

Ever since the 3.14.4 version of Smapi came out I haven't been able to get my game to run. I tried to uninstall SVE completely and add it again and it still keeps just telling me that I can't run the game.

The bed is a furniture item now, not part of the farmhouse tilesheet
so it needs to be converted to a furniture mod

It is. I was suggesting it if you wanted to do some testing to try out Free Love before putting it on your main save file. You can change how many hearts you have with people really easily which would make the test go by faster.

well I mean if you look at the log it's saying your mods haven't loaded because you have two copies of custom music
and custom npc exclusions
so unless you... changed your mods in some way I don't think your mods were working this morning either. I feel like the solution you get by fixing your mods will be different from what you're expecting.
You also don't need to be running the smapi installer from your Mods folder.

Okay so what is it doing when you launch?
basically all the itnro stuff plays
CA logo, then the camera going down and the mountains show, then the stardew valley billboard thing comes, but it has like plays for 1 second then just freezes for 8, then plays a slight amount more, then freezes, like choppy
Hmm that sounds like hardware type stuff to me. We may need to see if @gaunt gust can offer insight. Especially since you're using Linux it looks like.

smapi usually just takes like 5-10+ minutes for me in general, plus depends on how many mods you're using.

Like, don't delete your old save straight away. But you kinda have to get your mod list in order and make sure it works on a new save before you try and reload Sean the dog's farm
how does using a map like immersive farm 2 remastered or grandpa's farm work with expansions and new locations like rsv/east carp/downtown zuzu?
immersive farm 2 and grandpa's farm are both sve specific, so you need sve
it won't affect other expension mods though for the most part

Did anyone else have really long waiting times between loading screens? 
yes but I have 170 something mods omegalul
and sometimes more modular mods will give warning for items that only exist if you have another mod installed, like say if you're making a candy and you need brown sugar and rice flour but only have brown sugar. And it'll warn that you can't make one thing cause you don't have something but it doesn't really matter

anyone have at least the sprite sheets/png files for the custom furniture (CF) versions of yellog's furniture packs ? i'm having a hard time trying to find the files anywhere online and it looks like yellog has taken most of their stuff down and the program i used to try and recover all my old mods from when i'd accidentally erased them couldn't recover the png files

If you don't need all the horse/saddle colours you could trim the number down

huh I see, so even though you set her kids to be the dark version they look like they're white?
ANd I found a new problem, also with RSV
in that case I guess you have to switch the images
delete the light kid in her folder, duplicate the black kid and give those files the filename the light kid files had
RSV gives the option to prevent RSV villagers from appearing in the Introductions quest, but when I disabled it nothing changed.

hello all. when i start my game using smapi i don't get any errors until i try to join my partner's farm, at which point the screen goes black and smapi throws a million errors. anyone familiar with this?

Soo... I don't know what's happening with my game. Sometimes the console appears and then disappears and sometimes I'm able to get into the game only for it to crash suddenly. And every time I boot it up, it keeps flickering. I don't know what is going on.

@shy sparrow @robust bison thank you both for trying to help me. turns out this was caused by a mod called The Farmer's Children (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5436). Uninstalled that mod and its Kid's Treehouse dependency (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6377) and it works fine now. Just letting you know in case you help someone else with the same issue.

use this as an example mod and put her kids in there
like swap out the images if you want the really basic way to do it, but you can also add images and change the variation number in the texture.json
check the file works for you before you change it though
the images have to be the exact same size though, this is very important

The way the game determines if you can place a piece of furniture is NAME/TYPE/SOURCE RECTANGLE/BOUNDING BOX/ ROTATIONS/PRICE and you need to change that "BOUNDING BOX" part to a "0 0" in order to let you place them anywhere

normally it only works with melons cauliflower and pumpkins but it randomly checks every time change and rolls a dice if its going to turn the 9 in a cube into one big one
More Giant Crops extends this to any crop with a defined texture
So assuming it happens the same way with those mods youve got then yes you just need to wait
Also note that giant crops dont die at the end of the season

I thought I read ui suite had npc locations built in
So I wasn't sure
it has a version of it, but it can be disabled in-game and npc map locations works better I think
it aims to do the same thing but it doesn't work the same way
Just a general question here. I decided not to mod for a bit because I was having trouble with the old 64 bit method, but now the game is obviously 64 bit so Iām back and ready for action.
Are mods generally updated for 64 bit now? Obviously Iāll read patch notes and such to make sure, I just donāt want all excited about modding again if I canāt use at least some of the 300+ I used to have

if the errors bug you, then you can try editing the content json
if you unpack the original game files, you can put the vanilla sprites over the ones you want to remove
you basically delete the part that tells CP to load that tilesheet
I'd love to edit the content.json, but I have no idea which piece is ascribed to that specific piece of furniture. Is there any way to tell? They're not labeled at all

yes so we downloaded the grandpas farm map - we can enter the secret woods from the farm - regardless of how we enter the secret woods we cannot exit from the original entrance

a json shuffle has nothing to do with the exact set of mods
and more to do with the history of the mods used

the key problem here is that bundles are fragile
and very built-into the save

if you have older copies of your save/modgroup you could try going back

there are debug commands to reset bundles, might try those before abandoning the save

if you just want to play without debugging this issue a) try not to change up your JA mods for a given save b) maybe start a new save
after loading the save, typing debug resetjunimonotes into the smapi console and pressing enter should reset all of them. but might cause other problems. it's something to try though if there's no other solutions

You can try but I havenāt seen anyone find a fix for multiple spouses/free love/TMXL issues, and since TMXL isnāt currently being maintained the only long term fix is to move away from TMXL.
The short term fix would be to unfortunately stop using multiple spouses/free love if you canāt do without TMXL
