also there is a step by step for smapi on the wiki so if you look there make sure you didnt miss any steps in the installation process
ive used smappi before its just i load up the game and nothing is different after downloading one of the biggest mods in the game

Content Patcher didn't always exist so reshade used to be easier than making an xnb mod.
That would have been 100% a decompile first

The issues with CF are sporadic and may not happen to you. As long as you keep CJB item spawner in your back pocket for any problems, you'll be fine. Except that lots of the furniture functionality is broken.

your problem is that your dependencies are the wrong version
so look at every other mod you've downloaded, check against the version table, and get the correct version

The compatibility branch cannot use SMAPI, but you can roll back the game to 1.5.4 (it's a bit tricky), and then you can only use mods built for 1.5.4

On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.

If your macbook is 2013 or later, you may be able to get it to run Catalina, but unfortunately it's not guaranteed that this is a fix because some of the older macbooks apparently have incompatible graphics drivers

Unfortunately SMAPI only supports the main branch of the game currently. There are formidable difficulties across all mods in supporting all three variations, 32-bit imposes significant restrictions on what mods can do, and the Steam hardware stats show that ≈99.69% of players have 64-bit.
Having multiple versions of SMAPI (like we do for Linux/macOS/Windows compatibility) wouldn't be enough in this case. Every C# mod author would need to manually port two versions of every update of every mod forever, which is prohibitively unfeasible. It's possible that in the future we'll either figure out how SMAPI can automatically rewrite mods for the compatibility branch, or some modders may port SMAPI and individual mods to the compatibility branch.

I don't think so. It's pretty hardcoded. The only way I know to do that really at all is to make a custom map.
You may be better off just using a bigger custom map mod.

Thanks, that helps. I don't think Catalina is the minimum requirement for running SMAPI and 64-bit Stardew together. But since Apple doesn't usually share installers for previous major updates once the next one is out, the point is likely moot…

Catalina is taking forever to download haha, waiting time went up, has about 20 minutes ugh
according to Microsoft, that's Catalina, but also for some people earlier versions of MacOS still work
the game is starting just fine, I've just ran through that troubleshooting guide and everything is already in order. Moved it to my graphics card, afterburner is disabled. The game is also launching just fine, there's no error messages within the smapi command line either, even when my game crashes. The command line is completely fine without errors and my log only seems to state the last line of "TRACE SpaceCore] Reinitializing serializers for 1 mod types..."

so, that is actually a pytk issue, and I at least don't know why it happens sometimes

There is a "refugee" Discord set up that will eventually become the official Discord (the original server is totally overrun and I believe is a write-off at this point). However, I am sure people here would also be happy to help you get set up! SVE is a very popular mod.
Older version didn't throw an error so I think you're right, have to use the older version

If you mean XNB mods (i.e. directly replacing game files), they might work, but we REALLY don't recommend them because they can screw up your game majorly

Hello! I'm quite new to the world of modding so I am hoping someone can help me please I am having issues using my oven and workbench, I can cook/craft one item then the next time I try to use either one it comes up with an error message saying 'the kitchen appliance is already in use' / 'one of the chests near the workbench is in use'. So with Android, you will need to make sure to use versions compatible with SDV 1.4. If a mod doesn't have one specified, you can try a version released before Dec 2020.

used the log thin to try find out what is messing it up
removed the mods
and it's still crashing when i try to load a save or create a new one

Under properties, Find betas
And swap back to the normal branch

I'm not too great at troubleshooting random crashes. You could try going through your mods one at a time, but since there's no error really, I'm thinking this may be more related to hardware.

Hey, not sure if this channel is better for this question or the making mods one, but i'm using https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/10681 Seed Maker Tweaks which i requested on the github request page.
the issue is that it does not work with automate. More specifically, when the seed maker is operated by automate it will ignore the mod entirely and fallback to the default seedmaker code. The mod works as expected when operating the seed makers manually.
I contacted the author who said that he cant do anything about it since he's just altering the vanilla code. is there anything i can do to have those be compatible? Or would I need to contact pathoschild for compatibility? Not sure what to do here.

You could try to contact Pathos for guidance maybe, but making a mod compatible with Automate is typically the mod author's responsibility as far as I know. It might be an easy process though if you wanted to do it yourself. (I have no idea.)

Sorry. She's more concerned it's loading the actual SVE mod. So she goes into the game, opens the map and it shows the original map. Nothing else. So we know once the mod is installed via modpack, you start a new game

I've seen taht once before, and it had to do with clock issues
Ok so, @gaunt gust i teleported to other map and i entered the farm map, all working correctly till i got near the house entrance
you have to find which machine is the problem and delete it somehow without getting near it, I think
I download it but in downloads only appear an empty folder and a type PART acrhive
That means it didn't finish
Likely because you closed your browser or you don't have enough space.
i don't know if i could use a save editor
You could try reverting the mods you updated
I'm very dumb and it's probably because I didn't give it enough time

I have Timespeed mod installed, i didn't changed the config file though
