so i have a couple mods installed and i'm not sure why my crops are hardwired to having a scythe needed for harvesting when i don't have the scythe harvesting mod? should i send a log here so someone can tell me which mod is making me harvest with scythes only?
it might be the cheats mod since it has a harvest with scythe option
also, is this all crops, or just some?

Ye might be CJB Cheats Menu, that's one you have to turn off that setting before removing the mod (assuming you removed it)

Hi i have a problem with stardew i wanna play the SV Expanded but when i have Content Patcher mods the game Stops responding when i press the load button in main menu for 10-15 sec & when i try to load in to the game & when going to bed some times it also crashes after the Not responding phase Any ideas ? Smapi gives no Errors all mods are up to date. Have also tryed Verifying cache & Unistall/Install of game & smapi & all mods.

I want to wipe mods completely out of my Stardew folder but there is a lot of this kind of thing (see picture attatched.) is it normal? If not, do I have to delete everything one by one?

if you want to remove all of your mods, you can just delete everything in the mods folder
if you go in the mod folder and do ctrl + a to select all and then delete that will work

if your game is really messed up, you can reinstall it and you can copy the save files to make sure it doesnt loose
save files are stored in appdata, uninstalling has no effect on your saves

Quick question: I have a battery of cheat commands I like to use every time I start a new save file (namely to give me prismatic tools and a full set of massive item bags). Is there a way I can have all of these execute at the press of a button, instead of having to type each command out one by one every time?

HAVE FUN! I recommend you sort mods on Nexus by Last Updated because there are several mods that look cool but are outdated.
I’m not very practiced with logs but I took a look anyway. It suggests updating Adopt and Skin at the top of the page. I would do that and try again.
If it’s still not working… I’m not sure what to do. Hopefully that’s all you need to fix it!

So i'm not sure if this is the right channel to ask this question i feel might be a little stupid. I have been overthinking this in one of the mods i downloaded i could have sworn there was a extended cutscene at the beginning where robin takes our money to repair a bridge towards cindersap forest/marnies ranch I thought it was stardew expanded/extended but the last time i played it didn't have that cutscene. Does anyone know if this is an actual mod scene or if i dreamed it all up/possibly read it in a fanfiction >.<

Since your bug is SVE related with the Clownfish, you might wanna ask on their server if they can help you. You might need someone to 'fix' your Savefile.
Otherwise you might have to start a new game and use CJB Cheats to give you back what you have lost.

Yeah, but you need Robin to move buildings and Reset Terrain Features to remove bushes and trees and debris from weird places. Best way is to move everything as close to the house as possible, clean up the farm and then change your layout.

Both sve and mnf add clownfish. If you added one mod after the other, especially if you had the clownfish from sve in your tank, it would be removed from the game but possibly not from your save file and this might cause the crash? Sry if this has already been discussed as I've just joined the conversation

you can you'll just get a warning from cp but it'll be fine, unless your farm map changes the warp location

Whoever made the SMAPI log parser: I love you dearly 😭 makes it so much easier to follow the logs and fix errors. Like I haven't even had to send stuff here here I just go thru it and fix them myself

- Underwater East Scarpe Swim Mod Info 0.1.0 because it requires mods which aren't installed (LemurKat.EastScarpe.TMX).
East Scarp otherwise seems to work just fine, and I have been able to swim when using the swim mod's dive map, but I still get the error every time I boot up the game. I aaassuuume it's just something like that? also saw this post on the mod that seems along the same train of thought but a bit to the left

remove the dependency, make it false, or change it to LemurKat.EastScarp.CP

I want to download the ExpandedPreconditionsUtility Mod for NPC Adventures, but do I get it from Nexus?
On the creators github, there is an update from 4 months ago for the beta for which I can't find any download option.
smapi.io/mods says to use the latest version and links nexus, so i'd try that version first

those are just update notices (probably good to update them, unless you're on android or something)

you can try first updating and reinstalling smapi. steam auto-updates the game and the smapi version you have is probably outdated now

according to the guide about getting there you should get something in the mail regarding it after the first event iirc
and then as said above you would need to visit the wizard tower
So go to the mod in your mods folder. Open config.json in a simple text editor like Notepad. Then set the times to what you want. It should be like 7 (or .7... Can't recall). I usually set mine to 10 across the board for a slightly longer day. Then save.
The hotkey speed is meant to reset to your defaults that you set up.

seems that the farm event is blank for the non-romance route at least and just sets the mail flag for the next event, so might be that you just need to wait a day and then go to the wizard tower (as long as you have six hearts with the wizard)

I was using SVE and the grass in the deep woods during winter kept dropping torches, coal, and ancient seeds.
I think its because there is no grass in winter so its counted as the mushroom decor in the volcano which also drops that

The same thing happened to me. What happens is that you have an xnb mod but the xnb its replacing is an older version
like, lets say you have a mod that replaces a xnb in stardew 1.0. however, when stardew valley becomes the 1.1 ver, it adds more stuff to that xnb if you use the xnb mod that was created for 1.0, then you would be deleting the item information for 1.1's xnb, and thus the items will not show up
unfortunatley, the only way to fix it is to revalidate your files and not use any xnb mods anymore

xnbs often affect random things. for example, my xnb replaced my barn animals, but it ended up removing monster loot

SMAPI works with multiplayer, however not all mods support multiplayer, so check mod descriptions (or blindly test it to see if things break if the description doesn't mention it like I do :P)

I removed some quests in the middle of (not) fulfilling them and they just dropped off on schedule

Why not use !compat instead of linking to each unofficial update individually?
Because people are bad at using the compat list
And they go "that doesn't say PyTK, that's not what I want"
We could make !compat more detailed (e.g. type the mod name into the search box and look under such and such column), or look into improving the compatibility list itself to make it more intuitive. It seems like having a pinned mini-compat list is a rather limited and unsustainable workaround.
(And then all those players will be back next time they have a broken mod, since they still won't know about the full compat list.)
I think the main issue is that people who use SVE and only SVE tend to represent users with below-average mod user skills. They're the ones who come here asking about PyTK and TMXL, because they're not on Nexus.
(They've mastered "find mod on Nexus") However, I do think this quote will eventually outlive its usefulness, since Flash added links to the unofficial PyTK and TMXL to the SVE install guide (Atravita said)

Stardew Valley now is 64bit by default! This means you can install more mods without encountering the dreaded out of memory error.
What do I need to do?

- Update your mods!

Stardew Valley 1.5.5 was released recently; here are some common answers.
What changed?
Stardew Valley now is 64-bit on Windows, so you can install more mods without out-of-memory errors. See https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Version_History#1.5.5 for more changes.
How do I update SMAPI?
- Go to https://smapi.io and download the file.
- Unzip the download.
- Run the
install on Xfile for your OS.
(ModDrop and Vortex can't update the latest version of SMAPI yet.)
Is [mod name] updated?
98% of 1.5.4-compatible mods work fine in Stardew Valley 1.5.5+ too. Make sure you install the latest versions of all your mods (check your SMAPI console window for purple update alerts).
To check if a mod is compatible (or has an unofficial update):
- Go to https://smapi.io/mods.
- Type the mod name into the search box.
- Check the 'compatibility' column for instructions.
- If it says "use latest version", check the "links" column for the latest version. If it says "use unofficial version", click the unofficial version link and download it.

It is. Make sure you update all of its dependencies (especially Custom Music + PyTK + TMXL) per the previous section. You might also need to delete the Custom Music it bundles, and install the unofficial version instead.

Hi everyone! The team at Ridgeside Village recommended I post here. The DLL file for the mod disappears every time I try to add it to my mods folder. We can’t figure out why this is happening. It’s not just limited to the mods folder itself but it is automatically removed after a few seconds wherever I extract the files to. Has anyone ever encountered this problem?

The gear is from Generic Config Menu. It's not required for mods to work, just makes editing Configs easier.

The problem is that there are video guides floating around that are wrong
(as per usual)
We keep the wiki up to date. Flash maintains his install page. But often video guides fall out of date, sometimes very quickly

Does anyone know of mods that increase the spawn rate of mixed seeds?
@twilit pasture I kind of have this; I did it by making a folder to contain a bunch of mods that I only want in certain games, and when I want to play without those, I take the folder out of the mods folder and put it on the desktop. To play my save with those mods, I put that folder back into the mods folder.

Hello, I am having an annoying problem with some of my crops randomly jumping ahead in the growth by a day. Normal people probably wouldn't mind this, but I happen to find it very annoying. This didn't start happening until recently, and while I have installed a few other mods recently, I suspect it is my most recent mod, Level Extender, that is causing the problem. Does anyone know if this mod is known to cause this, and if there is a way to turn it off or remove it?

All of the PPJA mods have been machine converted to work with DGA. Unfortunately the conversion has a lot of problems. As a result, you need to go back a version to when they used JA.
