Hey, little question, is there a mod that lets me plant tree saplings anywhere? I'd love to pretty up some places other than my farms
Does anyone else have so many new trees that they made a spreadsheet to keep track on which ones they have? š
i made a script to get them from the savefile (and the associated JA data) last time i played. still waiting for someone to make a mod that does something similar

Sadly not. Although, maybe that's partly SVE's fault? Been a bit since I played vanilla.
I can only plant it on paths mostly and that kind of defeats the reason for them existing.
nah it's a vanilla thing as far as i know. also it at least used to be possible to plant trees where an artifact spot spawned after hoeing it

if you're playing through steam, you might be able to configure the stick with its controller configuration (in the library page for stardew valley it should say "controller configuration" next to "support")
Hello, I recently installed mods for first time and ran into some trouble. First I got the note from Susan and Joja but the boulder wasn't removed on the 3rd and just noticed now, too distracted with new content. I also have gotten stuck here twice.
You might need to use Reset Terrain Features I guess
theres a mod that does that already and as far as i can tell the unofficial of better fruit trees does bad things to it because i had to enable a bunch of stuff in better fruit trees to make it let me plant in places like east scarp farm and vanilla maps modified to have that property
i should double check what better fruit trees actually does and see if i still need it...

mind linking me the mod? i tried adding the map property to some vanilla maps and it worked for some, but not for the town map. just to see if the mod did something differently

i think that's a different thing, the map property i used allows you to plant on grass on so
you gotta plant in tillable or tilled soil in the Plant Fruit Trees Anywhere mod i think

if youre using a map replacer that makes the grass tillable thatll be why
some maps just...do that
yeah, it's the same thing i used. but it only does it for the forest and there it worked for me as well

The other problem was the train station boulder didn't get removed on the 3rd and is still there on the 18th. Also the bush still grabs me, the Reset Terrain mod didn't work. Not sure how to proceed.
If you have SVE, it changes the date for those events.

i'm trying to get stardew valley extended to work but for some reason it's not willing to cooperate, I installed it on my own pc some time ago and it worked just fine, now I'm trying to install it on my hubby's the exact same way I did on line and it's just not working :( I reinstalled everything, I verified through steam, still nothing
Still not sure whats going on with this bush though. Grabs me on that route and Repair Terrain didn't remove it.

Not much
But Vortex generally isn't recommended for modding SDV because it tends to break things and cause way more headache than just installing things manually. If you want to deal with eventually having to send bug reports and such, I'm sure Nexus will appreciate it so maybe they can work out their bugs.

To update smapi, you just need to download and install it. It takes care of the cleanup itself. You can get the new version from https://smapi.io (We don't really do video guides since they tend to go out of date, but let us know if you get stuck.)

It looks like they needed to update Blackberry Fields maybe, but I'm not sure if the problem was addressed anymore in the channel at least.

The game is pretty good about cleaning up after itself when an expansion is removed. Resetting the terrain and maybe dealing with a json shuffle is all that's normally left.

I've also been using this mod to make frequent backups, but it requires a bit of extra set up which can be found in the comments. Need to make a couple of folders since it can't make them itself. https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/435

I can't post anything on the mod page, but does "vacuum items" work for anyone on Expanded Storage? I enabled it, tried throwing things to the ground, put things in the chest in my inventory of the same thing and tried picking up more, went mining etc, but it won't vacuum up anything into the chest. Wondering if anyone knows how to get it to work?

(If it's not, then it is the two copy thing. If it is the same, I don't know.)

You need the top one, not the last two. I would delete them all and download again to make sure you get the right one.
I've tried it 3 times now. I download and it is UIInfoSuite2.zip Then I extract to folder UIInfoSuire2 then take the other folder inside of it.

I second Deep Woods, when i ran with the mod it was my goto for wood farming. You can easily get 2 full stacks of wood without much of a problem

So I notice that you have two farm mods installed, Immersive Farm 2 Remastered and Grandpa's Farm. You can only use one or the other.

Modifiable Windows App = gamepass
Gamepass = have to Enable Mods to remove the Windows permissions kerfluffle MS calls "DRM"

I'm at work so I can't check to be sure but....are the colour mods used without ReShade or are most used with reshade?
I've mostly been ignoring any problems with or discussion of gamepass because I have no idea what it is or how to use it. lol
Btw i've done everything on the list so far apart from redownload smapi so i'll do that tommorow cause i've got a new years eve party to go to.
Most are just retextures without reshade.
For someone who considers Gamepass a sin roughly of the same par as Afterpay, I know a surprisingly large amount about it now....
The only one that uses reshade that I know of is Natural Reshade

hey! i recently just downloaded stardew expanded, and it appears its working (i downloaded the unofficial tmxl and pytk) but for some reason, when i load up SMAPI the game wont load. it says that all the mods and stuff have loaded but the game itself will not open

For the SVE players here who play with Grandpa's farm, what's your set-up like? I'm kind of scratching my head at where I should place my stuff aside from my crops in front of my house
Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/Farm' asset (Immersive Farm 2 Remastered and Project Valley Life). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
Have a feeling this means that you should use either Immersive Farm 2 OR Project Valley Life

It's generally not recommended to add SVE into a save mid-save because there's a lot of cleanup to do, but it's not impossible.

i believe that the DGA version is tied into the modpack i downloaded

Well, the DGA version has a number of issues
This might be one
The main one is that PFM and DGA are incompatible
Also the mail is all formatted wrong
The only mod out of the pack that has worked so far is the meat crops

the skip fishing mod is a tad op but i've fished enough for one life time
So I had stuttering/fps drops playing with mods so I tried playing vanilla and I'm still having issues. Is it a known problem with the new 1.5+ or am I just unlucky : (

there are mods that use child to npc mod to make the kids into proper npcs, but probably none that makes them work for you

Hi there! I'm not sure if this is a mod error or a base-game error, but I've started having issues once I upgraded the farm house to have a kitchen.
Once I try to use the stove, I get an in-game error saying a kitchen item is already in use and the sound of the fridge opening starts repeating. After this happens, items I pick up won't show up in my inventory. Here's my SMAPI log: https://smapi.io/log/6fc62be566034c1682f2180baa189580

So in reference to my question about this i used SMAPI to force learn all the crafting recipes in a clean save and the crafting pages looks the same as my current save's crafting recipes and i have no clue where im missing 3% crafting

Figured it out, i think im missing the elixirs from SVE
Anyone who has a similar issue, run debug crafting in a clean save and compare your crafting pages to that one

not off the top of my head, but there's many ways to accomplish that, from just spawning it into your inventory with cjb
or using ftm to spawn iridium nodes into the regular mines

Try Skull cavern elevator
With configs you can make it as hard (Or literally break the game and reach the bottom of skull cavern by setting the difficulty to less than 1) or as easy as you want to get iridium.
you might wanna look into better quarry, since it makes the quarry serve its intended purpose
This is the first Dinosaur floor I've seen. (I installed an elevator in Skull Cavern and that's how I'm so deep)
Put an elevator in Skull Cavern, you will have more iridium than you know what to do with

Try to do the basic troubleshooting yourself like reinstalling, checking you have all requirements and not using something thatās already using the map image
I donāt use android so not much I can really offer in terms of knowledge
just make sure everything is up to date with your Versions
no idea about android either but what exactly is the issue? The map looks pretty normal to me
the map doesn't correspond to what's in the game anyway, it's just a separate image

Currently, the vortex installer for SMAPI does not work, and you will have to install smapi manually by going to https://smapi.io, unpacking the download, and running the installer for your operating system. Also check your custom music for good measure
So downloading 1.22.9 would fix the issue?
I extracted PyTK 1.22.9 in the PyTK folder but smapi still says I have 1.22.8

Hello ā something incredibly strange just happened in my game and I don't know where else to ask for help.
I entered Cindersap forest from the farm and Leah's 10-heart event started playing. I have not given her a bouquet in this save, and I haven't seen her 8-heart either. I used Lookup Anything to confirm that I'm not dating Leah in this save, and sure enough, I'm not. Nothing strange showed up in the SMAPI log, and I have no idea what might have caused this; I have a whole bunch of mods and afaik none of them give me the ability to see the bachelor/ettes' 10-heart events without giving bouquets.
Has anyone experienced this? How do I figure out which mod is causing the problem?

nope, I'm at 8 hearts. I don't think I have any mods that give me the functionality to get to 10 hearts without a bouquet.
Also, right after I sent that message, I walked into Marnie's ranch and initiated Shane's 8-heart event....... when he wasn't in the ranch in the first place. I'm pretty sure that he has to be in the ranch for the event to trigger, so now I'm even more confused. And then when I walked out of the ranch, the game started playing Leah's 6-heart -_-
are you getting any smapi errors?
I don't think I have any mods that change Leah, but I can definitely send a log. My guess is that it might be an issue with the free love mod (the successor to multiple spouses) because I just downloaded it yesterday and I hadn't had issues with events occurring at the wrong time before that

no, I removed it and downloaded free love instead, because I saw on multiple spouses's nexus page that the mod was being retired as of 1.5.5

Does anyone combine the mods Expanded Storage, Convenient Chests, and Chests Anywhere?
I want the extra space from XS, but I want the categorization from CC and the menu dropdown for storing in CA.
I tried just using XS but I don't like the way the chests get categorized and it's kind of frustrating when you try to just add stone to a chest, it'll add everything with stone in its name, like stone furniture, etc.
I just notice some of them have similar features to XS and don't know if it will cause issues, or if I need to disable some things?
*I should add that I know XS says it's compatible with both CC and CA, but it doesn't offer any info on if anything should be disabled in either mod to prevent overlapping features.
Can somebody help me? For some reason I can't add connectors for the automate mod when I type the connector names in the config file SMAPI gives me some kind of an error.

You need to create the directories for it. Someone details that on the posts page.

I got the same error, it seems like the mod does not create the required directories for the backups. You should be able to fix it by manually creating the folderĀ "Backed_Up_Saves" in %appdata%\StardewValley and its subfolders"Nightly_InGame_Saves" and "Pre_Play_Saves". Using Custom paths in the config file should work, too.

That being said, I wonder what the deal is with SMAPI's backups and why someone felt this mod was needed.
I use it because I am paranoid about not having a backup and am too lazy to do it myself.

advanced save backup creates backups every in-game day, the smapi one only once per irl day (when you play, i assume) i believe
Hi, can anyone help me with this? I started up my save file after a break and now there's floating chairs on my wall. I might've tinkered with some mods but nothing that would have this effect. Unsure if this is a modded issue, because when I open the save without SMAPI the same thing happens.

Good Morning & Happy New Year. I think I made an oops! with my mods. I installed a hair mod that looks likes it replaced the male hair instead of adding on extra female hair like I thought. I didn't back up my files ( shame on me). If I delete the hair mod do I break 'stuff'?
