Can you post a screenshot of the files in your actual game folder?
Do you guys think Expanded is worth it? I'm still debating on using it or not.
Here's the original pathway I sent you and I'm trying to see if ther's another game location but I really can't find it. Xbox doesn't give a specified route like Steam does.

So Stardew Valley original.exe disappeared.
So now I have just the API (which is renamed to Stardew Valley.exe)
It's pretty popular, so it's probably worth a try if you're looking for new content. It does change the vanilla experience a lot though, so I'd suggest playing the game without it first, and then adding that mod to experience its new content.
That's what I'm trying to do, I just played Stardew Valley through and through. Now I'm trying to have a bit more fun 🙂
I did that on mobile, then today I was like "let's try some mods!" I'm sure if I was on Steam I wouldn't be having this issue but it's free with my game pass so I mean... why spend more money? hehe
Game pass still hasn't gotten the hotfix so some mods won't work till we get the fix tho
I've played it quite a bit, but never finished it. Im familiar with the mod, just don't know if there's anything that edits the vanilla as much to where it has all that extra stuff.
If I need to reinstall again, let me know. It'll only take 2 minutes. Yeah! I figured anything is better than nothing.
Note that SVE has a lot of incompatibilities with other mods so be sure to check if the mod is compatible first

@unique coral At the top, can you click "View" and enable file extensions? I see steam_appid.txt doesn't show the file extension, so I suspect the executable is actually named Stardew Valley.exe.exe right now.

I recently got it and it's pretty fun...I had to spend an entire day downloading and figuring things out, though. A lot of the stuff it adds is late-game or at least mid-game I'm pretty sure so I haven't seen everything, but some stuff doesn't feel as true to the original game as it could be. However that doesn't bother some people so shrug. If you like the original game and want a mod that gives you more without feeling like cheating, go ahead and get it.

hrm it seems that with the new update, CPA lags the game pretty significantly the more content packs you use for it
yeah doesnt help when the map is 64k tiles
well CPA always caused lag

Personally, I plan to play through Ridgeside Village, East Scarp, and all the associated NPC mods when I get a chance. I use a few things to improve the game like Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion, Events Expansion, Challenging Community Center Bundles, and Better Balance, too. Most of the rest are visual.
So with this mod, is there a page where I can reference commands and how to use it? I initially wanted to install it so I could start off my giving myself sprinklers (cause screw watering), then eventually I want to move into additional mods but I'll of course have to look at compatibility as someone was saying.
Speed up many animations in the game (like breaking geodes or eating). Optionally configure the speed for each animation.
Unless this is a base mod, like cursedforge, and then I have to install that type of spawner.

You know, files that are in-game but not obtainable. The animal husbandry uses these files (the meat sprites)
There is a PPJA mod that lets you grow meat, like jerky trees

It's a mod that adds butchering, inseminate and giving treats your animals, adds an animal festival that occurs on spring & fall (and you can participate in this with your animals too), if you don't like butchering & inseminating stuff you can turn these off from the config too.

Though PPJA Fresh Meat and mods require it might break a little if you turn butchering off in config, since Fresh Meat disables its meat items for compatability with that mod when its detected but when both mods don't add meat items, meat recipes and such get broken

You don't, but since they add a bunch of meat items they normally conflict
But instead, fresh meat disables its meat items so JA doesn't go crazy (Since JA absolutely hates duplicate items)

I wanted to use chocolatier and the new Haunted Chocolatier mod but they both added some of the same items so I stopped using one.

Started out with Eemies. Then jumped over to starblue when 1.5 hit because it was the first one updating to the new maps. Then I went towards a new colour whose name I forgotten and it was deleted because of some RPG maker issues. Jumped to wittily and now I'm running earthly

where did you unzip the new installer? It's probably best to just do it somewhere completely seperate from your game directory, like the Downloads directory

So I have a question, I tried downloading the new SMAPI update but when I try to download it windows keeps telling me it is "dangerous" and I don't know how to get pass that. It did not do this the first time I downloaded SMAPI though
uninstall and reinstall the game. a game file has gone missing, and verify doesn't always find it
Just got back after seeing SDV 1.5 hotfix etc, just gotta say thank you mod makers keeping ur mods updated and the frameworks. I think the smapi.io mod compatiblity site is one of the best put together 3rd party mod lists I have seen in awhile. Very easy to use and navigate.

does anyone have a good way to keep mods organized based on saves (if that makes sense)? like, i have a vanilla farm going where im trying to get perfection, but also (had, the file got corrupted) one with SVE and a bunch of other mods. is there any good way to switch them out easily? do i just make multiple folders and switch them out as needed?

A framework is "a way to do things using json files" so you don't have to write c# yourself

it should be! the only bug ive seen is a tree being on top of his house (possibly bc of boarding house?) but its nothing too immersion breaking. otherwise he works fine, events, marriage everything. hes compatible with RSV too

TMXL has been doing weird stuff in the logs recently, not sure if that adds load time too
I get 2-3 minutes with about 200 mods (with some ppja and ridgeside)

Those mods per se don't change anything. But some mods which require them may change your save enough

I would need to (1) stuff a new quest into the user's quest log, and then (2) mark it complete when I notice (in code) that they've done what I asked.

I think you meant this for #making-mods-general, but Quest Framework adds quests to the game using C# code, and you are able to make content packs for it. Per the mod description on nexus though, it is not being maintained.

Yeah, that ^ from the stuff in the Trace log level it looks like you dont have the latest PyTk and probably not the latest TMXL either

Just to make sure, you don't have any XNB mods installed (the ones where you replace game files directly)?

Specifically it looks like the Characters\Farmer\hats.xnb file was incorrectly replaced with a hat data file (that one is the hat image file).
