You shouldn't be worried! That just means a recipe or machine somewhere uses batter, but you don't have a mod installed that adds batter to the game.
It's most likely from an optional pack and you can ignore it

I am at my wits end with these god forsaken lag spikes! I've tried optimization, overclocking and nothing has worked! I have a good computer so it shouldn't be lagging at all!

could be an updated mod causing an issue, in which you'll have to downgrade and report it
Why not try without CPA first and see if it even changes something.
CPA only lags when there are a lot of animations to be processed
which means it would be the modpacks causing the lag, rather than the framework itself >< still try it tho
Oh I also meant to remove the packs aswell ofc 
if you have a lot of mods, your save could just be at it's limit
I recently updated a few. I did it in one go so i don't know which of them is causing lag if it is that.
Though, i'm not sure how it would work on beta, I do not use beta to play the game

Medieval buildings, east scarp, downtown zuzu, farm type manager, custom ore nodes, lookup anything, fashion sense and fish ponds (the ones that match medieval buildings)
And i seriously doubt that. It only started lagging after i did some updates as i have already said. If my save was at it's limit it'd be far worse
the most prevalent issue is that Stardew is single cored, but there isn't anything you can do about that
Alright, that's good! Narrows this down a lot, already I know that the first three mods take up a lot of space, so we'll keep an eye on them. shakes head SDV itself can only store so much data. Now, I do not know how many mods you run, but I do know the beta is still being worked on and is, as the name implies, still in an unstable state which means anything could cause it to go wonky at this point
and anything could also be nothing. if your test save works without lag, with only those mods, i'd say try going back a version with them and try your regular save again

Maybe try opening the zipped folders and putting the files inside in your mod folder?
That's weird, I had all the files unzipped in a separate file before transferring them

They were folders path wasnt right. Like they were in an extra folder if that makes sense

When you go to extract your mods folders, do "extract here", NOT "extract to -folder name-"
If you do "extract to -folder name-" it creates a stupidly long folder name, with the mod folder nested inside of it

Just go inside each of those folders, drag the actual mod folder out of it, then delete the one with the long name

You can nest mods inside other folders, I do it for organization, you just gotta make sure the names aren't too long

So another thing. There's two different mods that use the same file names and every time I extract all mods in the same file, it asks me to overwrite them. I had it autoname it something different, but now I cant find them 😦
Updating smapi is the same as installing it. It'll delete its old files for you so you don't have to deal with them

I think the files that are repeating are CustomNPCExclusions and CustomNPCFixes. I don't know how to make it to where one doesn't overwrite the other

Do you have SVE installed? SVE already comes with those mods, so they don't need to be downloaded separately. Either delete the folders inside the SVE folder or the CustomNPCExclusions/fixes in your Mod Folder
Have you tried asking on the author's server?

No they had stuff in their inventory when they harvested from it
I was not able to harvest at all not even after they harvested from it
And it's a local coop and yes I'm the main player "host"
Ye I saw it was split screen. I was wondering if maybe your partner was the "host" because regular multiplayer can have the occasional quirk with mods. Split screen is even more quirky with mods unfortunately
Having some trouble!
I downloaded a bunch of mods using Vortex (SMAPI, Stardew Valley Expanded+all the mods you need to download with that, and a gender neutrality mod). I downloaded, installed, enabled and deployed all of them, but when I open up the game it's still the vanilla version. I'm completely clueless about modding, so I don't know what could possibly be wrong or what I could do to fix it. Someone help? :')

Yeah I'm the host. Maybe only one person can harvest from it? And instead of telling me it's empty the glitch just told me my inventory is full. I replaced it and filled it with bait to test it again next in game day and I'll report back here. I'll tag u

If that doesn't help, you can always try the 50/50 method of removing half your mods and see if it still happens, and keep doing that until you narrow down if a specific mod is doing it
Can someone help me enable the cut content of SVE? I did replace the */ below the //CUT CONTENT with // but, when I opened my smapi, it was full of errors 😦
there's 2 parts to that sort of comment syntax Open: /* and close */
you need to replace both for it to not melt
if you just replaced the closer that means literally everything from there to the end of the file is now a comment, heh

no, you aren't understanding, if you found and replaced a */ you need to look upward until you find a /*
Ok so we got to the next day. If you have two players in the farm at the same time and one harvests it, it will still look full to the other player but will say "inventory full when they try to harvest" probably not a mod related glitch at all just multiplayer being weird about how it handles the other player after one harvests it

These seem straightforward, you're missing Artisan Valley and Shop Tile Framework
you could probably remove even more recipes if you dont want the added machines that AV brings
any way to reset trees and grass in ridgeside, i updated it but the vegetation remains from old version
SVE's cut content was cut for a reason and that reason is because it's pretty bad, both for content and for actual writing quality (one of the scenes includes discussion of sexual assault and it's not handled well). You're honestly not missing out.
Maybe use the mod "Reset Terrain Festures". Never used it myself, but I've seen it being mentioned in cases as yours.
Is there a retexture mod that makes the trees look like birch trees? I looked on Nexus and I actually can't believe it hasn't been done yet lol

As far as the description goes yes. It simply destroys every plant where it doesn't belong. (Trees and fiber in/ on buildings, on stone paths, in ponds) I assume it simply checks the maps for any of those and checks if they are on the right ground. I didn't tested it yet because I have to rearrange my hotkey for it. (L by default)

Custom furniture is pretty much broken, the latest non beta versions for the rest should be on their Nexus pages, though SVE always have a very updated CM version in their download, so you could always download SVE's non beta version, and delete everything but the mods you actually want

also I updated mega storage, expanded storage, DGA, and generic config menu, and the horrible lag is gone!
I believe I have been unable to fix the lagging on mine. Every time I cut a tree or a large amount of wood tumbles over.

it's a bit strange looking and different than your screenshot. did you let the game load fully before taking the log?

do beta users with a heavier mod load sometimes experience the game just literally locking up on an action
my game just completely froze up when moving from floor 114 to 115 in the regular mines

Pretty sure that's caused by the creator of the farm map you're using, not properly doing the warps / the map is outdated so they weren't able to adjust them

I need you to test something. Grab CJB Cheats and start a new save. Then build Barn, upgrade it (or not if you haven't yet in your main save), buy some animals, sleep and then go inside Barn again to see if that error happens?

It's heavily recommended not to use Vortex with Stardew Valley mods as it's known to be buggy. It might be fine with other games, but it eats files and doesn't delete things properly
(Though Vortex manages to mess up mods for SDV, so it's better to not use)
It's best if you remove all your mods from Vortex and reinstall them manually
You can usually get past the not deleting properly by telling it to remove the archive as well.
I wouldn't risk it for "usually" though when manual installation is only very slightly more difficult 🤷♂️ Plus it's much easier to spot where any errors are with manual installation

@fair frigate Are you using Seasonal Cute Characters because of the clothes? If so, Diverse Stardew valley has seasonal outfits too and even more than SCC has (and it's easier to configure and doesn't mess with the farmer base).

Hi there! I ran into an issue with my multiplayer save file last week where it loaded us in two play sessions back in the game. We researched the wiki and tried all the save recovery methods. We just updated some mods the day before, but everything updated smoothly from what we could see. Went to stream and we lost about the entirety of our fall season in game. We updated SMAPI, JSON, Fishing Made Easy, Content Patcher, Generic Mod Config, UI Info Suite, PyTK and SpaceCore. Is this a common problem or possibility with these mods?

There is a software called stardew valley editor, it allows you to change map layouts and other stuff, it can also be used for cheating ( don’t do that)

For starters, you need to delete both copies of your tractor mod and reinstall it.
for SVE, it looks like you're using the beta intended for stardew 1.5.5, while only running stardew 1.5.4

Use the manual download. In your current mods folder, delete all the folders related to stardew valley expanded, and then copy the folders you get from the manual download.
Okay so my boyfriend tried to get both the betas for SDV and SMAPI and he also got the .NET 5 and ran it, now while trying to install SMAPI on windows this kept on happening and he is unable to install it. Can anyone please help?

People should just use what makes them happy. Like I use Timespeed to slow down my days a lot. That's definitely cheaty, especially in conjuction with anything that gives you a hot spring from Day 1. But I feel like I get more out of each day when I can go talk to everyone. So meh. I'm happy with it.

I can't really figure out what's causing the invalid tilesheet reference. Farmhand is using the exact same mods setup as the host - we copy pastad the whole folder in an attempt to fix it last time.
I don't know what you're asking about skipping, since it's not the intro. Is there something in the installer asking you if you want to skip it?

If your copy paste of mods is asking you to skip files, you didn't delete everything properly before trying the reinstall. Might be fine, might not.

game save swap has his stardew just closing out entirely - no errors or anything. So we're troubleshooting that. I'll keep going and be a bit. once I've isolated all the variables, I'll check back.

no, if you go to STEAM, click properties, click Local Files, then click "verify integrity of game files", it'll reset all the xnb files
