There's DGA (not sure what it stands for) that meant to replace JA. Tho there're some features not yet available. Also migrating SVE content is p daunting so it might not be in for awhile
DGA is just still on progress. Even if considering item ID change could be applied on 1.5.6, Json Assets would still remain for uses.

The framework is called Child to NPC and it's quite buggy but still works. I'd use farmers child in preference as its updated more frequently and you need the unofficial child to npc update. As noted buggy but still works.

I think it bugs out with multiple spouses as most packs are only programmed to do two kids.

Yeah, don't use Vortex, especially for SMAPI but not for mods either. It's fine for Skyrim and other games, but it's known to be buggy for Stardew
I love how literally 90% of the people here think that mods on android are different from the ones on pc even though we both use literally the exact same mods from the exact same files
Except they're not always the exact same files? The Android version of CP can't go higher than 1.19 and there's a lot of SMAPI functions that aren't possible in SDV 1.4, so Android players can't always use the same mods as PC players

Some mods are not the exact same version because they're - by necessity - an older version of the mod since they can't use many of the new features

@vocal comet OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. No, it's not a fun dance. The Json Shuffle (or Json Scramble, as it is also known) is what happens when you add or remove a Category:Json Assets mod and then continue playing your save. The IDs of your items are likely to get mixed up (shuffled, if you will) and where once you had a blood orange you might now have a lucky clover or a sword or wh...
when you add new json assets items to an ongoing save, the item IDs can get 'shuffled'. So basically make sure your inventory is empty when you add new JA mods

You can also always request things on the mod suggestions list, though I'm not sure that a mod update would be the right thing. If someone else is taking over a mod officially, the mod will likely get updated as normal. If the mod is abandonded, any new author would likely create a whole new mod unless the code is released under a very permissive license.
You can also ask around to see if there's already been an update up there, or ask around to learn the situation on a particular mod

It is not actually too technically difficult to recreate it, but it would be a certain amount of work. Mods that change machine outputs use PFM these days.
So basically, it would need to be remade from the ground up, but it would only require json files, no C#

that's most likely your problem, cracked versions of the app don't play nicely with SMAPI and we can't really help you make it work

The 23 SMAPI errors I'm not worried about because I know what's causing them. But, I do need some help on the rest.
Angry Grandpa doesn't seem to be updated and it's a transpiler mod so it's hard for us to update it. So you should remove it sadly.
Is it worth removing? The log says that it shouldn't cause problems.

And Strange Machines' error is a known issue but you can play normally.
This is less an issue but a mild annoyance. I'm noticing small drops in framerate which are causing lag spikes but when i disable vsync the framerate doesn't change and causes very noticeable visual problems when moving.
you should turn vsync on if your monitor causes glitches.
Smapi has identified i have msi afterburner and rivaturner statistics server installed and says they may cause issues. I don't know if that's why the framerate is dropping or if i should stop them.
And no my computer is NOT overclocked.

It might help if we knew what mods you're using? Some are pretty heavy.
if the mods were the issue my game would be unplayable. and it's not major lag they're small annoying lag spikes
also i noticed something about no fps cap not working or something while i was getting the log.
I'd suggest going through your Mod list and take everything out you don't really need. Content Patcher Animation is known to cause lag afaik

Reinstall Smapi and it'll tell you the command prompt to put into the launch options. The one on the wiki doesn't work. It tells you how to get there to put it in, but the actual prompt is incorrect

There's very few people in the server who have any sort of android modding experience unfortunately
usually with android its not something users can help you troubleshoot
and a matter of the mod itself
(which aren;t usually made/optimized for android, just work with it if all goes well)
I'm still having lag spikes and nothing i've done has fixed it. It wasn't lagging when i played yesterday and all i've done today is update a few mods
Which mods did you update? Also, it could be a function of background app traffic on your computer as well
I've updated east scarp, downtown zuzu, all my medieval building and town packs... I thought my saves were corrupted so i deleted them and even on a fresh save i'm still lagging. Disabling vsync might fix it but i get screen tearing and i have no idea how to prevent that
I've also updated fashion sense, lookup anything and farm type manager.

hot tip if you just installed Lux's food mod: this is a common bug, it's coming from PyTK, I don't know how to fix it but if you check the Nexus comments on Lux's food mod there are a few potential fixes, it doesn't seem to work for everyone though

Meaning 1 is what I have heard, 2 is true because adding dependencies only changes load order
we added dependencies for several recolour mods but probably not all of them 🙂 if you can give me a list I can check or add them to the next update ^^
If you previously had conflicting visual mods, then it is possible they will now fight differently
But presumably you've worked out the differences between your current visual mods
(Fight differently, meaning if previously mod A loaded first, then mod B, you would see mod B's recolor if they both edit the object, but if your dependencies make it so mod B loads before mod A, then you would see mod A now. This isn't "not working" so much as "previously they were fighting and B won, now A is winning")
(of course, this only applies if two mods edit the same object, so if you paid careful attention to what your mods edit and they never edited the same thing, you wouldn't have any of this "fighting" in the first place)

"probably" (meaning, I suspect yes, but SMAPI might do clever things behind the scenes, and also if there are other dependencies in your mods that would change things)
for example, if mod C depends on mod B, and mod A depends on mod C
then you'll probably need to break out the pen and paper to diagram it all 😛
Best tactic here is probably "try it and see"
If it doesn't do what you want, try seeing if there's config options to turn off edits
oof, some mods of mine are definitely fighting, since I have added some dependencies before 
If that does work, maybe add some more dependencies haha
Worrrrst case: change the content.jsons to turn off the edits you don't want
But let's not go there until other options are exhausted

Ok, so the log says that the self service mod isn't compatible. There is a link in the log. Follow it, try the suggested version.
I would also update all the mods you can update to prevent incompatibilities in the future.
Since Mobile Phone is a tad glitchy with the beta, does anyone know another mod, which does work in the beta, that allows you to easily get Robin to change things on the farm / build things? I primarily use Mobile Phone just to call Robin to build / move things without needing to go up to her house
I don't know of one, but I'm like 80% sure you could do it with a small C# patch and a DGA furniture item. You'd have to remove the buildings action carpentershop check for Robin to be present in the vanilla action, and then you could use the tileproperty as part of the furniture.

when you add or remove JA mods, often modded items will get switched with a different item

about how long does it take to load the game
it takes me about a solid 10 min to load my game and i run about 175 mods
I downloaded some mods and categorized them with new files to make them easy to navigate, but when I tested it, smapi said it cannot be loaded because it viewed the file as a mod "(file name) contains files but none of them are manifest.json". I double checked it and I do have it.
Do I need to remove them from the file or is it a problem with the mod itself?

it's not necessarily an issue with an ssd, it's the fact that Stardew is single cored(and the standard windows version is 32 bit)

Then you can set your launch settings in Steam if you use Steam, or just open the exe from the game folder directly
Make sure to delete the old folders
Otherwise SMAPI might be unhappy with them

it could be that one of your other mods replaces something so that it overtakes the Experience Bar mod— do you have a lot of mods? You could always try just loading that mod and see if it works, and then keep adding your other mods to see which one is incompatible

Alternatively, you could use Diverse Stardew Valley Lightweight, which has been tested on Android and has a lot more content than Seasonal Outfits Slightly Cuter Aesthetic too 😄

DGA shouldn't cause issue with clothing in itself

Hey guys! Newb questions but... can you use Json Assets & Content Patcher together? Does one or the other affect one another? Because for the customizing mods for the players like hair/outfits, I see that some mods have one specifically for either. So for example, the Sailor Styles mods only have JA but doesn't have [CP], while most of the other mods contain either CP or both, but I mainly only download the CP versions so far...

Very usefull when a map got an update and a chest is out of reach or trees and grass grow where they shouldn't
(you can also use mabel's terrain reset to reset grass and tree)

Can some tell me what stardew valley dll is? I'm trying to update my smapi to the beta and the installer isn't working
you need to get your stardew to beta too
it would not help with the chest for example so having both is still a good idea, but indeed for some stuff it's a lot faster
