Open the content.json again and change this code:
"Default": "brown"```
To say Brown, Black, etc
Or, just rename the pngs
to have lowercase
Either way, make them match.
See if that fixes it

The answer is effectively no because time is hardcoded into a million things
But if you really want, go ahead and use Save Anywhere.
You'll probably break your save if you use it many days ina row though.

Because if you left the config with "brown" and the allowed value is "Brown" it won't work. XD
But if you have that config menu mod you can probably do it in-game.

You're running, from what I can see, every expansion mod there is. They're big mods that take up a lot of space. Lag is too be expected with them

sorry for the late response. just take out furniture and stuff from the house, place it outside and save before removing the mod. i suggest using the builtin safemode (config option) and placing the bed in the top left corner before removing the mod.
question a friend doesnt' have stardew valley yet. do mods work on any sort of download location (like gog) or does it work best with the steam version

Mods work on the GOG version. That's what I use.
The "downside" would be that you can't grab the 1.5.5 beta build ... but then again it's a beta build which should get a public release quite soon from what I understand.
That's true. I'd like to try the beta but don't want to pay for SDV twice.
You can never go wrong with SDV though! ๐ The Platform really doesn't matter. The GOG version is totally fine to get.

What mods that add additional bachelors/bachelorettes are compatible with SVE? I wanted to install Matthew but he seems to fudge up the map menu

Ridgeside Village, Boarding House, East Scarp - the NPCs from Lemurkat and FellowClown should work as well, Denver and Cecilia and overall all custom NPC that don't change the vanilla map too much and overwrite the changes SVE makes. If they have a custom map they're usually OK to use.
I've tried to put in the event 7775925 as seen for the farmhand, I'll see if it works

Hello, I'm using Stardew Valley Expanded with the Grandpa's Farm map. But I can't get to the greenhouse. Whenever I try, first the map goes blank, no more textures and only basic colour blocks, and after maybe ten seconds the game crashes. What can I do? Hi, has anyone experienced issues with load times? I'm using Moddrop and my save takes a very long time to load? Is there a obvious issue I'm missing? I have SVE as one of the mods and all its recommended accessory mods. I believe them to all be up to date
It's probably PyTK. It's added a lot to load times right now (and in the beta is still running on unofficial update).
Unfortunately it's not something you can just remove and call a day - the whole reason you have it installed is that it is required by other mods, and updating to remove dependency on stuff like that is time consuming. So ... bright side, it's unlikely to be your mod manager, but downside, there's not really anything you yourself can do to make it better right now except take a break from the mods that require it (including SVE).
I just start it in the background and try to pretend I didn't, so that it's a pleasant surprise when I hear a noise that means it's awake :P
(It's totally possible to have other problems with your game, and for that the first place to start is always your SMAPI log https://smapi.io/log ! That page has instructions for how to find and upload your log, and it parses it all pretty so you can see if there are any errors you or the people helping you should know about.)
Thank you! This makes sense. I found by setting only one core on my affinity task manager to the SMAPI it actually makes it load within minutes but obviously this is a permanent fix. Don't know why disabling cores makes it run faster. I'll have a look at my log and see if anything stands out ๐

There might be a specific guide around somewhere if you search, but if you don't already have SMAPI installed there's https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Android and the rest is a giant pain in the ass of making sure you download versions of mods that work with 1.4.

It's recommended to do manual install and it's pretty simple, but if you absolutely want to use a mod manager, you could use ModDrop. Vortex is not recommended because it tends to be quirky with Stardew Valley

I previously posted in here my times but now I can't find them. Regardless I think now loading the game and the save itself takes 4min
I'm running about 75 and my loading screens are about 5-15 seconds when loading a save

Did you by any chance highlight text in the SMAPI window? If so, SMAPI enters Select Mode (and actually says that at the top of the window)

If you're running it from 100000 floppy discs it matters. Your storage media has a lot to say about load times too

The SMAPI console that's running in the background loading stuff. On Windows if you click that window you can pause the whole process.

Broke loop is SMAPI telling you that every time the game wants to load something, some mod volunteers to do it, and then SMAPI says "k now is the time" and then the mod bails and says "actually SMAPI was gonna do it, I don't know why you're looking at me" and SMAPI says "you know what fine forget it" instead of continuing the cycle of pointing at the other guy even though SMAPI was totally right *nods*

Try without NPC Map Locations? I'm not sure what the latest is on that, but "start with the things that deal with the thing in question" is a good guideline ๐ (Plus updating your log when you make a change!)
(I've seen "disappearing map" with it recently but I don't know why or if it's a mod interaction or what, so if that fixed it you'd probably need to search around for answers :P )

Well you should certainly update your mods, you've got a lot of outdated ones

also, to copy text in a command prompt like that, highlight it like u normally would and then right-click on the window border (where the x button and stuff sits) and then go to edit->copy

Save editing tends to be a tricky business and I'm not aware of any mods that let you do this
i've edited money amounts before when i messed up with a mod and ended up giving myself a crap ton of gold i didnt want.. and that worked well. i just didnt know if i could also edit something like the bundles or if thats too complicated
money is probably stored in exactly one place and does not rely on a randomizer
I don't know if the randomizer is run at the time of setting up the game, but randomized bundles necessarily calls a randomizer
(I do not know the save file format enough to tell you how/where bundle information would be, but I have heard that bundles are a finicky part of the code.)

i managed to remix them using a smapi command, so if u havent unlocked it yet i can grab that command for you but make sure to backup your save first, i dont wanna be responsible for anything breaking

You need Reset Terrain Features to fix this. Btw this is why it's not recommended to install SVE on an existing save.
They didn't say it wasn't impossible, they simply said it wasn't recommended
But, Reset Terrain Features and NoClip will help

hi, does anyone have a tutorial on modding for Android? I've downloaded SMAPI and also downloaded the tractor mod but when I try to open SMAPI this happens
I'm not sure. Pretty much the only thing I know about modding Android besides the links you've probably already followed, is to download old versions of mods that worked before 1.5 came out, since mobile is still on 1.4.x.

i feel like this mod makes the female farmer animations look kinda weird but it might just be bc im not used to it... but all the accessories, hair, and clothes it provides are rly cute!! and it adds diverse hairs and more skin colors :) AND it has a setting where u can have ur sleeves be long in cold weather and short in hot weather

So this is probably a stupid question, but I've been looking around on Reddit and the Wiki and I can't seem to find an answer to my weird specific question. I'm on MacOS and trying to mod for the first time. I downloaded SMAPI and installed it according to the step-by-step directions (even followed the image guide to make sure I did it right) and then I downloaded all my mods and unzipped them into the Mods folder that SMAPI created when I installed it. When I boot the game through Steam, the SMAPI launcher does not come up. I checked the file path in Finder and confirmed that SMAPI isn't giving any errors, it's just not engaging the launcher. How do I fix this?

theres been an issue with M1 macs running smapi 3.12.6 and 3.12.7, so your options are 1) opting into the 1.5.5 stardew beta if youre on steam and installing SMAPI 3.13-beta or 2) run it through rosetta

@tired brook hi! sorry to ping but chellifornia is using the 1.5.5 beta and 3.13 beta but launching the game doesnt open the SMAPI console. i asked them to try launching the StardewModdingAPI directly from the folder but that gives them the screenshot a few messages above ^
"Exec format error" usually means the processor type doesn't match. Can you post a screenshot of your game folder?

To reinstall SMAPI do I have to uninstall first? That's probably the dumbest question I've ever asked lol

Okay, so it's not finding the directory with the Stardew Valley executable when I paste it in, and when I manually type it (I even tried a few combinations for slightly less deep directories in case I misunderstood the question) and it keeps saying the directory doesn't exist

There shouldn't be any need. Can you post a screenshot of the full installer window after trying it?
Looks like you're installing SMAPI 3.12.7; you'll need the 3.13.0-beta installer instead.

SVE will only affect saves you play while it's installed. So one option is to temporarily disable SVE when you want to play a non-SVE save.
Yep, that's much better. Next try chmod 755 StardewModdingAPI (which should make it executable), then try running it from the file UI.

Not very; I've absorbed a bit from helping players with general issues, but I don't use it myself.
Basically my farmhand did not get the updated interior for Aurora Vineyard after a series of cutscene, of some she didn't get
I've tried to edit the farm file today to include a specific event as seen, but it still doesn't fix the initial issue, which to me seems like a rather big problem in general. Only hosts getting the location updates
But I'll try fiddling more with it and see if I can locate the exact point where the issue started
It's a rather vague problem definition right now
Unfortunately that's one the SVE author would need to look into. It's possible they're just not checking the right conditions (e.g. they're checking a host-only flag on the farmhand instead of the host). If it's actually a SMAPI or Content Patcher issue, the SVE author will message me with the technical info so I could look into it.

I've spent many hours fighting with skyrim and other games on load order and crap and smapi just takes the headache out by doing that for me, telling me what i did wrong, and REWRITING 32 BIT TO 64 BIT AUTOMATICALLY

You'll need an unofficial update for that one. You can check https://smapi.io/mods/ for C# mods (i.e. not content packs for another mod like Content Patcher), it'll list the latest status and link to any unofficial updates or workarounds.

- Stardew Kids Expansion has some mistakes in its code. I suggest reporting it with that log link to the mod's author.
- Rescaled textures which depend on PyTK (like DCBurger's High Res Portrait Mod) don't work in Stardew Valley 1.5.5 beta yet.
- Your

Well, that should be the default. But for some reason the command isn't being run in the same folder as the script (for some users).

You could try rebooting your computer, in case something is stuck or locked.

Do you mean the SMAPI code? Make sure you're looking at the develop branch; the beta branch is for Stardew Valley 1.5.5-beta and won't work with 1.5.4.

You can get Platonic Friendships and Partners on nexus which modifies vanilla events and dialog to not be flirty for this very reason
But if you have mods that add dialog / events, then those are most likely still going to be flirty at that level of hearts

in the git in the smapi.installer/assets theres no internal folder, wouldn't that cause issues if the installer directory is set to %-dp0? or are you planning on adding that in.

If you mean while doing the mod load (before it shows the list of mods), that might be normal if you have a lot of mods. SMAPI is probably rewriting all your mods for compatibility with Stardew Valley 1.5.5-beta; as mods get updated for 1.5.5 that load time should return to normal.

I've been enjoying the Custom Main Menu mod. It's a little thing, but the random cute pastel themes add just that little bit of joy when I launch the game. I've yet to see a bad combo, either.

Anyone have trouble with custom locations in the mod that shows NPC locations on the map? I have SVE and RSV, and anyone in the mod-added areas just shows up in the upper left corner, rather than their proper location on the map.

This is a problem I've had for a while, including after updating everything. Right now, though, I'm looking for which one I have...
Thought I'd figured out the problem - I couldn't find the base mod, just the Yagisan addon for custom NPCs. Figured that, in the process of updating at some point, I'd managed to miss the base and it got delete. So, I installed NPC Map Locations. Now, I have two sets of NPCs on the map.
On the plus side, the new ones are in the right locations.
Now, I just need to figure out which other mod has this feature...
Oh, it's UI Info Suite 2, looks like. Hopefully there's an option to disable that...

@warm osprey The beta version is 64-bit, so in theory it should take all the RAM it needs until your computer itself runs out of RAM.

I posted a build that works in 1.5.5 but for some reason doesnโt generate the JSONs. If the user has the jsons available from the previous version - it works. I have this posted on the forum.
I can mark it as broken since I havenโt worked on it knowing Teh is working on a new version

this has happened twice and both times two different mods had errors. First was Stardew Progress, second was the aquarium
unsure if this has happened to anyone else but game was fine yesterday, and when i booted it up today a lot of the interior maps were weird? The (non-custom) map of the farmer's house has weirdly broken up rooms and some different/changed tile colors, and my custom shed sizes have reverted to the default so a lot of the contents are floating out of bounds. I have a lot of mods including SVE and RSV, but according to smapi everything is up to date. Does anyone have any idea what might be missing or corrupted? lmk if theres any images or files i can add

i recently removed the cooking skill mod (522) hoping that love of cooking will eventually update for 1.5.5, but that shouldn't affect maps? adding the SMAPI log momentarily, thank you :))
That mod does modify game code directly so it may have messed something up.

i have error when i click the bundle after complete wizard's quest, im using SDV 1.5.4, SMAPI 3.12.7 in Korean language
my game screen fixed at bundle menu so i cant do anything after get a error

i googled it many times, but i dont get any good answer..and....i also dont think this error caused by mod, as log say it is "game" error. i think this is smapi's error or..
