ive never had a "slow" download
Most mods will download within a few seconds even on the "slow" free account, it's only SVE and other massive mods like it that take a little longer purely because of how big they are
my adblocker might affect that cause ive downloaded massive mods for other games in like no time at all
i havent tried it with sve but witcher mods and skyrim mods can be over 2 gigs

Anyone knows how to make Tractor Garage work?
@atomic canyon macs have a built in unzipper for all except rar files. You just double click the zip file and it extracts automatically into a new folder in the same folder as the zip. For rar files I like the Unarchiver but you can download whatever you like. Rar is a Microsoft format and not very versatile but some people who use Windows upload rars for whatever reason.

Tomorrow if I have time I’ll try to make some pictorials for Mac, it’s honestly not that hard it’s just that more people use Windows.

so its not just you in the valley who gets married and stuff

its also because its against the rules, #old-rules number 5
its still against the rules to help with pirated games, people can help if they want with mod issues on pirated games, not the game itself
a multiplayer issue seems more related to the game itself than the mods, and most people dont want to help either way
(there does seem to be something involving Get Glam in that log)
Does anyone know why my Stardew takes like 3 full minutes to start up with all my mods. Is this normal? What can I do to reduce times or figure out what is causing long load times
woah i dont even have get glam?
(could be a host/farmhand mod list mismatch, could be get glam not liking 1.5.4, could be get glam not liking a pirated game, could be the pirated game containing a reference to get glam for unknown reasons)
also Get Glam made all my save files show up twice in the load game menu
you have over 100 mods along with SVE which alone is really big. it makes sense for the game to take that long

True, but what I'm trying to figure out is why there are such long pauses in the logs
its probably either a. loading large things/large chunks of things, or b. lots of things are going to the log but they're in Trace level so they don't show in the console
weird the logs were suppose to have verbose enabled but they didn't. I'll redo them

It's not disallowed for us to help people with pirated games. Its disallowed for us to help people pirate game. We can still help solve mod issues with them if we want. Or can. Pathos made that quite clear.
Often with errors like this its because the hosts game is controlling something that you as a player cannot access (cos you dont have the mod). Best for all players in co op to have identical mod list.
it is disallowed to help with pirated games when its not a mod issue, but its also up to the person helping to decide whether they want to or not
the game is cheap and constantly on sale, theres honestly no reason for it to be pirated with very few cases

Well, you can change/replace stuff even in vanilla. But to add things, you need SMAPI, which cannot be run inside Vita. (or at least that's what I believe)
That's a major problem with mod-able games which are ported to consoles. Most of them doesn't support external modding, like Skyrim for example.

Ye there's no modding on consoles because we don't have SMAPI for consoles. So there isn't a version of SMAPI that is for the PS Vita.
I know with the Switch, you would have to jailbreak it just to install XNB mods, which would violate Nintendo's TOS and install XNB mods is also not recommended.

there is smapi mobile
that's not how it works. SMAPI mobile modifies original apk of Stardew Valley and make a new apk so you can play with SMAPI in it. That's pretty much the same way as Windows.

Bundles are hard coded. Look at blueberry’s new CCC mod if you’re interested in weird bundles. Coding wise it’s somewhat tricky.
can you sort nexus mods by downloads but showing only mods that have been updated for 1.5

and the Popular (30 days) tab is a lie, its not "most downloaded mods in the last 30 days" as the tooltip says, but most downloaded mods created in the last 30 days

It would have before, but if you've got ErrorHandler from SMAPI still in your mods folder, it shouldn't cause too much damage to your save. I'd back it up regardless, to be safe

Now I had a doubt, yesterday before deleting all the mods to start again without errors I deleted the seasonal outfits, today I downloaded it again but it's the one with Elliot's Sprite in 3/4 and I don't like it, the one I downloaded yesterday has his normal Sprite but with the outfit variations. Does anyone know what mod it is? Because I can only find the one that changes Elliott's portrait and I don't like it ><
Right now there are only 2 seasonal outfits mods afaiik:
- Poltegeister's Slightly Cuter Aesthetic with Seasonal outfits
- Airyn's Diverse Stardew Valley
I don't know about SCA but Diverse Stardew does have Elliot seasonal outfits with his normal side facing sprites

Hey yall! Copy-paste from the seasoned farmers chat, Ive been having an issue with my main save (vanilla, no mods):
My game is glitched unfortunately so i cant get p word on my main save ;;-;; even though I have all the stardrops the code didnt log the ones from || the mines and the museum|| , I managed to find a fix for the || mine || code but have no idea how to edit the save to log the other and dont wanna accidentally break the save 😢
I do have smapi and mods installed for another save but installing smapi did not debug that part of the save unfortunately

I have the mod 'blue chicken products' which is pretty great; but unfortunately there is some glitch that's preventing me from getting the fried egg recipe when I reach the required hearts from shane (which is odd because I got the other recipe fine).
The dev's page said there is a way to 'unlock' the recipe by modifying a file. Can someone help me do this?
I'm on a (mostly cosmetic) modded run and this is the closest I've gotten to completion but I cannot cook the last recipe; please I hope someone knows how to do this

I’m playing with the challenging Community Center mod. Am I able to use silver gold and normal quality crops for a regular crop item, or do I need to get 20 normal crops

How do you properly uninstall a mod that includes a custom npc? Simply deleting it? Then it would put "Blah blah didn't load so the game won't crash (Did you uninstall an npc mod?)",
How do I make that go away fully? Do I need to remove something else?
The save I opened did have a friendship with the custom npc, so maybe that data is stored elsewhere? Where can I find it?
That bit only appears the first time you load the save without the npc
And yes, it does, but most times people end up deleting the wrong part and corrupting their saves
So safest step is to just leave the warning alone? It will disappear once I reload the save once more?

It'll disappear once you save and then not appear again. The warning doesn't affect your playing anyhow, it's just a line in your smapi window

Handy Headphones was a mod that had this, but I haven't used it recently
Is there a way to reset the Bundles?
I've used Challenging Community Center Bundles and have removed it, but the Bundles still have the same requirements. 
The npc however will still stay in your save file so if you ever reinstall it and open that save they will still be at X hearts. I've removed and reinstalled a bunch of NPCs.

the only way to do so is to go to a backup from before you unlocked the community center and then you can use a command to reset it (this is assuming youre still in early/mid spring)
you could try the command on its own without the back up but it hasnt worked on my end

Yes, it's easier to make a new save when you use it. No risks of json shuffles, you won't have to worry about debris, trees or bushes being in weird spots, won't have to fix anything

theres an issue with SMAPI loading on M1 macs, so you can either opt into the beta on steam and upgrade to SMAPI 3.13 (upgrade your mods if needed) or downgrade to SMAPI 3.12.5 and downgrade your mods

Too many mods will get you an OOM, generally.

Tbh you can have hundreds of mods installed with no issues. It just depends on the type of mods and how they work.
It also helps if you specify PC/Mac/Android.

you not knowing means youre on 1.5.4 since opting into the beta needs extra steps. you can open steam, right click stardew in your library and opt into the beta

Hi guys! I see that you guys are already helping someone, so I'm sorry if I get in the middle of that. I'm just here trying to figure out why my modded stardew won't run correctly... I've looked up a lot of things online, but noone had his particular problem. Basically, I try to launch stardew valley through steam, it launches using the terminal app, which i assume is what SMAPI is? or maybe its the mono program i downloaded since im on macbook(M1 chip). Anyways, all of the mods and stuff load up on the terminal log. It gets to a point where it says mods loaded and ready, and the game is "successfully" launched. I get a window that says "running stardew valley with 24 mods". However this window is black and i just get a loading cursor. Does anybody know what could be wrong? I'm trying to play the stardew expanded modpack (downloaded all of the prerequisite mods they said to have on nexus). It's my first time modding it and it works when its just the base game. If anyone can help Id greatly appreciate it. also Im on the 1.5.4 version of the game with SMAPI 3.12.7
Mac M1? Either downgrade to Smapi 3.12.5 ( And thus your mods too ) or, and this is easier, upgrade to the beta of the game and Smapi 3.13, update any mods that have their own beta versions, and play using it
Most mods work in the beta, so it's easier to just upgrade to it ( And to do that you just need to go to properties, and set it to the beta. It asks for a passcode, it doesn't have one, just hit enter )

This is not a difficult edit, see https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves#Change_farm_type. But changing maps midsave will always require some clean-up, because anything you placed was based on the old layout, debris was spawned based on the old layout, etc. Reset Terrain Features is really helpful for the latter https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features, you might need at least a no clip mod for the former. (Or stuff like Crop Transplant depending on what all you've got where.)

How long are you giving it to wait? I know with my game, if I only have a few mods, it still takes a good few minutes before it'll start the game
(If SMAPI is running at all, even if they game does not start, it will have created a log.)
(But yes, I've seen several times where someone just needs to wait without messing around with it trying to load before it gets going :D Macs may need to opt into the beta.)

That happens to me every once in a while. Like how I said I'd be done with Pelican Town Potluck after editing the vanilla lines and then doing 2 compatibility patches... but I have a gabillion dialog mods so I just had to search my entire mods folder for the word luau and do personal compatibility patches for all the other dialog mods

it's been long time since i've done mods with the game, after updating smapi and most of my old mods, i ran into an issue of smapi spitting out an error that one of them is incompatible and to install the newest update even though i did install the latest mod update, is the issue on my end or the mod?

ah ok, the one i selected said it was updated in august of this year and works with stardew 1.5.4 so i figured it would probably work
What your log looks like you did: open the game, wait 2 seconds, decide it's been too long, quit the game/terminal.
What you should do: open the game, load up a save, walk a bit, then quit the day and try uploading your log again
(Walk a bit is not needed, it's just to check that the save finished loading)

If you updated to the game beta after installing the beta version of SMAPI (or if you forgot to install that entirely), it would have overwritten your SMAPI install. You can just reinstall SMAPI and it should fix it.

Open Steam, go to the game's properties, and you can select the beta. It'll ask for a passcode, but there isn't one, just hit enter in the box
post your log anyways, it has more information that might be needed besides just what errors there might be
You just need to reinstall Smapi, just.. download it again from Nexus, unzip ( Google how to if you don't remember ) and install it
You don't have to redo the Smapi launch things in Steam
(They didn't need to do any launch options anyway, since they're on mac.)

(Basically Windows users are the ones that do the launch options, and on Mac/Linux SMAPI replaces the startup script directly so it justworks™️ hehe)

Is anyone missing attachments in their mail? I'll get a letter from a villager or something saying "We hope you find this useful" but there's nothing attached. Seems to be happening mostly with whatever mod the Ferngill Flower Association is attached to.

Yeah I have the DGA port and that makes sense then.
I think the Ferngill Flower Association mails are just recipes for different flower arrangements. You can check in your building menu to see if they are actually appearing. They should be after all the other buildables at the bottom.
I had that issue and noticed that it went away when I went back to the PPJA versions. I wanted my products to work with the Artisan Valley Machines which doesn't work with the DGA versions yet.
I don't see them so I might swap back as well.
If you do be prepared to have items that say null and crops that are invisible
Oddly the null items are still sellable in the bin.

I don't have any farmer to florist stuff or any of the PPJA stuff planted just yet. But I'll make sure to replace them before Y2 Spring.
You need to install .NET 5, then follow the SMAPI instructions except make sure to get the beta SMAPI (3.13.0)
Yeah I only had a few of them so I just replanted those crops and sold those null items. Small price to pay to get the functionality of all the neat machines back.
Now I just have the problem of crashing around every 3rd or 4th days played. I have too many mods and keep getting the memory error. But I can't live without SVE so I'll hold off on the 64bit beta for a little longer.

I was attempting a transfer to 64bit and was getting all the 1.5.5 compatible mods. You can sort the mods by compatibility and all the 1.5.5 versions end up together.
I wanted to see what mods wouldn't work so I just copied my whole game folder so I could have two versions of SV installed. Strange but works.
