remove steam options, then it starts the game without mods or go to your game folder and click stardew valley.exe

You didn't upload your log correctly (it has an error), so I have to guess that you don't have the right version

In this case, I think the issue is the version of Custom Music you have is too high. I think it's for the game beta, version 1.5.5. You are using version 1.5.4 of the game
So you need an older version of Custom Music
There is also an error related to the XNA framework and audio. Do you have speakers or headphones of some kind connected to your computer?

Excuse me, I need some help with DGA and PPJA Mods.
Me and my mate decided to install PPJA Redux - For DGA (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/9443?tab=description) including requirements.
We also added some Artisan Mods which arent updated for DGA yet like Chocolatier (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5403), Fizzy Drnks (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5342) and Shaved Ice and Frozen Treats (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5388).
Turns out, the only mods working correctly are the ones not updated for DGA yet.
Every Mod in PPJA Redux - For DGA wont give us any recipes, I cant find any related objects in the item spawner.
Any idea what went wrong?
its best to go back to the JA version of these mods for now until theres a fix for them

looks like there are no bug reports and the mod works fine, so you either installed it wrong or maybe forgot to put it in your mod folder? either way, launching the game, going into your save then sending a log should help!

so update what needs updating including smapi, remove the broken mod and reinstall them correctly by unzipping them, and do the same w the greenhouse mod

I think skell's point is, if you didn't buy the game, you are more likely to have weird issues we can't help with.
aside from the fact that i wouldnt pirate a 10$ game this is the ONLY mod that have had such an issue
i have never had an issue with any mods before (except that one mod that i got an incomplete unofficial version of and got help here and it turned out i got the wrong version)

You can share your log link. But if it's all in Trace messages, that's just the game doing its thing. That includes loading a lot of assets, which can cause slow downs.

Looking at that trace, I wonder if the lag is due to the game having to load in all those different villager sprites

If there's a lot of asset changes, like indoor/outdoor clothing, based on time/season/etc. That's bound to happen.
I mentioned you can share your log link. Without it, we're all just taking guesses at what you have.
SVE is a big mod though, and makes a lot of changes. It's understandable that performance takes a hit.

Have you tested without SVE and all its components installed? Does the issue happen with all your other mods installed except SVE?

You say you got rid of clothing mods but you have multiple seasonal villager mods. Those can contribute to that issue.
If it's only happening with SVE installed, you can go to the SVE Discord and ask for help there. Idk what your computer specs are and how they compare to your friend's specs, but that may also be an issue.

SVE is a HUGE mod and take a lot of memory. Best solution is either play without it or try the beta for 5.5. Or wait for 5.5 to officially come out.

There's a little half path at the bottom of the map. I don't like the dirt, so I tried to keep it at a minimum, with no set pathways so that people can decide where they want their own paths

Hey, trying out mods for the first time here, used a guide on downloading SMAPI and it’s installed, also installed content patcher, however, I’m getting an error for the map predictor mod. It’s telling me it’s skipped it and it could not be added, says
“These mods could not be added to your game.
-MapPredictorRelease because it contains files, but none of them are manifest.json”. Could anyone help?

It seems to be its own program that predicts RNG. So you don't put it in your mod folder.

Try using the cut back version of seasonal cute characters. The full ones have outfit changes on indoor/outdoor and that plus SVE might be contributing to a lag. The slower the machine the laggier it may be which might be why your friends is okay but yours is not.
It's also possibly being not helped by other background processes going on on your computer.
My old machine hung a good 7 seconds when entering the town map for example.

There has to be a difference tbh
try going into the WorldMaps folder, and delete these (back them up somewhere first in case it doesnt work), it should fix it but you wont see your farm on the map the way you do now.

this was in fact the problem
i had a mod that toned down the color of sprites and it was making the game laggy
So I managed to move my exp bars overview somehow while in a menu.. I can't find any settings in-game to tweak the positioning
how do i move the mod folder between computers?

Okay I am so confused on how to get SMAPI working. So I downloaded Stardew and then I downloaded SMAPI and then... Idk what to do now. And the wiki on it is very... confusing. The lack of pictures is making it hard for me to follow so I'm a little lost

Ehh, Vortex isn't good. There's other mod managers that are better. Vortex eats files 
I never experienced that issue, though I used a small amount of mods so bigger numbers might have that issue, so I can't say anything about it
If it does happen, just ping Pickysaurus in this Discord so they can figure out what's wrong
The consensus on this Discord is to always discourage when we could help Nexus fix it 
Normally Vortex is good, I think I used a Nexus thingy for mods for DAO, it just sucks for Stardew

All saves are affected by mods, but only if you open the save with the mods installed
Expanded doesn't change the farm, however, you're probably thinking of one of the others

Yup! Ridgeside and SVE authors work together to fix any issues
i installed some more mods and for no reason at comes a warning:

I think a great deal of mods work on android if you make sure to download the 1.4 version

Some of them may be buggier than usual since they might have been updated to patch bugs at the same time as updating to 1.5

So it could be a widespread issue. Regardless, it's not a big deal as long as you occasionally check back for SMAPI updates
Generally nothing horribly terrible happens if you don't update, you just don't get the latest and greatest

I am trying to fix the farm map seasonal tilesheets I'm using, but after trying too much I keep getting an error and my game just.. brings me back to the main menu after I try to open the save?
So I think I just corrupted my game along the way, since replacing the saves from a backup doesn't work

That's weird cause I have perfect connection with my WiFi connection and I got those warns. I've got them a couple of times recently, but the seem to be fixed when exit and reenter the game. However it didn't fix it this time around
Checked my ethernet connection, restarted my computer, loaded and reloaded the game, still getting those two warning keys on not getting Update Keys on btoh SMAPI and mods. Certainly not a ethernet connection problem. Just started today, I'd love to ignore this but I do like to stay on top of mod updates for that clean no error Log
I also have that sometimes but somehow it fixes itself the next time I play again 🤷♀️

@rustic badgerjust changing that to a false will likely have unintended side effects, as doing that basically makes both the indoor and outdoor token true all the time, to do what you want you'd to make that condition something that's always false' even possibly doing something silly like 'true": "false" or some other impossible pairing

Ok, so there are a few strategies you could take here
You need to have one for outdoors true and one for outdoors false
But you can set both values to be _Indoor
And see what happens
what would that do
That should work, in that the characters just always wear their indoor outfits
However, there is still the check that happens to figure out if they're indoors or outdoors
If you wanted to remove that check I think it would take more work

I don't know anything about Vortex except that it can have weird quirks with Stardew Valley, and that mods need to be both enabled and deployed. Did you follow the steps here?

Again, deleting the image is not the way to go. You need to find the content.json and edit it, unless you can do something in the config.

Okay, open your content.json and search for the word krobus
Then delete the phrase directly surrounding each instance of that word. For example, it will say "<some other character>, Characters/Krobus, <some other character>". You want to delete "Characters/Krobus, " there so that the right number of commas remains.
This mod is very comprehensive in terms of sprite changes, now that I look into it. I'm pretty impressed.
If you've done the changes I said, then yes, make sure to save the file, and you can run it.

There's not a great way to check that it's worked other than not getting errors in the log, unless your other Krobus mod makes obvious changes to Krobus
I guess maybe another way to do this would be to add a dependency between the mods
To force this mod to apply changes first, then your other mod
So the one you see would be the other mod

You can always reinstall SMAPI no problem to get the full path
There's also a % thing afterwards, you need to include that as well.
You have a weird number of quotes in that too

Reinstall SMAPI, it will tell you exactly what to copy-paste

SMAPI just loads the mods. It's not a mod manager. You'll need to download the updates and then install them manually or with a mod manager (Vortex or ModDrop)
I downloaded all the updates it notified me about with vortex... but I tried starting up SMAPI through steam and the top part still has the weird game error from earlier

The install order doesn't affect load order. SMAPI loads mods by dependencies then by alphabetical order (although the alphabetical order thing is more of a coincidence)

The only mods you need to be careful about adding/removing are json assets mods, those can cause the ~json shuffle~, though I think NPC mods throw warnings when uninstalled

The NPC mods warning is more like "hey I see this isn't here so I'm just letting you know I'm removing it", so that's just an FYI

The mod is that whenever you right-click on a crop with a watering can (just as if you're watering it normally), it'll automatically water the rest for you. I don't see any errors with the game itself, but It doesn't water automatically and is just like vanilla watering.

You could test a new save just to see if it works, but your log is super small and tidy. I have 470+ mods and it works, including most of what you have
The way it works is you right click on 1 plant and then it moves your character automatically to water the rest, including refilling the water can

32 bit sdv only uses … a specific amount of ram. and having heavy mods will cap out that ram usage, giving you OOM
64 bit sdv removes that ram cap and allows it to use more so that u dont get OOM

Hey so, I've been annoyed about 1 thing as I've been playing recently and it's the ludicrously early close time for some of the stores, especially at high heart levels. I can understand them not like, maintaining the store after X time, but the stores double as their houses, so once the store closes, I can't enter their house to talk to them. I tried looking everywhere on Nexus and am not finding anything that might even slightly keep a store open later. The closest I found was a few things that opened stores early, but they were all either wildly outdated, or extremely buggy based on the comments and bug reports. So, now I turn here. Is there any mods like that? If not, why not?
NPC scheduling issues probably. I don't know if you ever looked into this, but this mod adds a machine outside stores where you can access the shop menu without interacting with a NPC. The known issues are potential incompatibility with mods that edit vanilla maps, as the mod adds the machines physically onto tiles and you might not be able to access the tile.

Sorry for coming to the conversation late, but may I recommend Diverse Stardew Valley? 😄 It also adds seasonal outfits, but it's very customisable and each character can be turned on or off individually, so you'd be able to just turn off any edits to Krobus and it won't cause problems with your other Krobus mod

It's alright! Sorry, I try to avoid pinging people. Lol. It looks to me like it could possibly be an issue with Dynamic Game Assets? But I'm also looking at that warning about the MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner Statistics Server. Never seen that before. Could you do what it says in the log and try disabling that software/adding an exception for SMAPI and Stardew Valley? And then see if that does anything?
So MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner are installed but not running.

Yeh happened to me too. Cos the child stops being considered a child in the code when it becomes an npc so effectively the game defaults to whichever its decided you will have first. I gender changed mine by adjusting the code.
I dontbrecommend installing child 2 npc until both kids are toddlers myself.

Open UI Info Suite settings (the lil hammer next to the other icons in your inventory) and disable show townspeople on map

Does anyone know a workaround for multiple mods that add stuff to the map and recolors? My map is now a bit messed up with multiple colors, and I would just like to have one color across the whole thing (the grass, essentially)
I've run into a small issue. I'm playing with SVE in multiplayer with my gf and only I, the host of the save, gets the Sprite Spring Path Opening event after helping the wizard with his magic ink. I got the cutscene where the abandoned house in the west forest gets a bundle plate with from a junimo, and the wizard gets involved, but she did.
If there are config files, you can turn off some things. Otherwise, manually picking and choosing the look you want and editing content.json files for personal use
Note that the grass you walk on and the dirt you walk on are usually modded together. So without extensive rewriting of the mods, you can't have dirt from 1 mod and grass to walk on from another mod
