I also installed Dynamic Game Assets and Generic Mod Config Menu and nothing change. DGS needs Content Patcher and SpaceCore also have this. Last time everything was fine.

everything that adds storage containers via Expanded Storage has Expanded Storage (Lite) as dependency, Plus is for utility changes only ( search bar, etc ); works independently and with vanilla containers

i have lite plus and vanilla storage, but my storage is still 36 instead of 72, any idea why?
I would assume it also needs Expanded Storage (Lite), i would try adding that

Did you update your Vanilla Expanded Storage config to set chests to 72? Also set the rows higher if you want the menu to show more items at once.
You might need to pick up and set the chest down if it was placed before the mod was installed

You only get HQ portraits with the Portraiture version!
Portraiture is a mod that specifically allows for HQ portraits in the game. CP can patch assets, but they have to be within the game's capabilities. Meaning portraits need to be much smaller, and thus lower quality.

You need it for both the CP and Portraiture versions so I'm not sure if using the other would have fixed the problem.

Hi I have a simple doubt. I use moddrop to run my mods but everytime I try to run the game from steam, they dont apply and only do if i run them form moddrop 😔 any ideas as to why this is happenning?

I have the mod "Advanced Save Backup" from nexus
I had last played the morning of Sept.28th.
When I start up the game and click Load, usually it brings up the current farm I'm working on, and a couple of seprate older ones.
Around 1am this morning (sept 29th) when I opened the game and clicked load, my current farm wasn't there at all, just the old ones.
In my phone's file explorer, in the StardewVally folder, the folder for my current farm (farmer name Griffin) was still there, but inside, there wasnt a file called just Griffin(saveID#), only the Json folder, a save labeled Griffin(saveID#)SVBAK,
one labeled Griffin(saveID#)_SVEMERG, one labeled just BACKUP_SAVE
(all the above had the date Sept.28 2:20AM) and a file labeled SaveGameInfo(1), which had the date Sept.26th, 4:16AM

OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. the mods I see in your log are only the standard SMAPI installs and Content Patcher, Save Anywhere + Wistful Pink Sand

Do you mean Save Anywhere not working? it's very buggy

I do recommend manually installing mods yourself, since mod launchers/managers sometimes "forget" or misplace files
only one of them, starry interface works and even then there are some glitches

Aside from the obvious issues of not wanting to support pirated versions of the game, it's really hard for us to know exactly what would be causing your issue since the game is not from an official source.

You could also try and make the trees use Alternative Textures so you can have them all!

is anyone having an issue with the beta taking a really long time loading each new day? It lags, then the application (the game and smapi) stop responding. I'm not getting SMAPI errors or anything...
How long has it been taking?
I just timed it. 10 seconds before it stops responding, and then another 13 seconds before it responds and loads
If i do a lot during the "day" it can take over 30 seconds

because with seasonal outfits, their outfits change when you go in a building then out, which causes some lag

I hardly touch my laptop anymore... by PC has 16GB of ram and a i7 10700K CP and a 3060gpu thats less than a year old...

yeah, my laptop is a little old and slow generally but i think the lag with buildings was the seasonal villagers outfit mod since It was a tiny bit outdated since I think the modder stopped working on it
I get the "you can update these mods" message but when I check the mods, I have the most recent on nexus at least
oh btw you have multiple couples of life cycle, you should only have one per NPC
so delete either emily & clint or emily & shane

one of my roomies was the first to build his, and he had all good parts, but everything would overheat, so to play anything he needed an industrial fan blowing air into his fans so the parts wouldn't overheat

Having lag issues? Slow Stardew?
Do you have a NVIDIA GPU? Try this:
- Right click your desktop
- Click NVIDIA Control Panel
- Select Manage 3D Settings
- Select Program Settings
- Then Select StardewModdingAPI.exe, set the preferred graphics processor to High-Performance NVIDIA processor.
- Click Apply on the bottom right and repeat the same process for the StardewValley.exe also.
(Select the StardewModdingAPI.exe and StardewValley.exe in the directory of your game!)

It could be that your NVIDIA control panel set it to run on your on-board GPU (motherboard, perhaps the shitty intel graphics). My SDV always lags when it's on there. Every time you update your GPU drivers it resets back for some reason, so you're going to have to put it back each time you update your GPU drivers

The laptop I have currently is a Lenovo Legion i5, it came with 500GB of storage and 8GB of RAM but a friend of mine helped me install 1TB SSD SATA and an extra 8GB of RAM, so I'm using that more than my desktop

In the settings of that, you could try tweaking some stuff there. Though it's weird that you've got those lag issues since it's a good pc
it does lag a bit on startup and on the load screen, but its never been more than maybe 10 or so seconds, but then it'd be fine
before the beta i, after an hour or so of gameplay, I'd get a lot of those "system out of memory" errors
and it would start to really lag
beta thankfully fixes that. 
haven't gotten it sense! but the weird next day lag is new

hmm.. to be fair, my game does it too, but during saving. But that's on the unofficial 64-bit patch, not the beta.
On the beta it's very short (I've got 969 mods)

So I just experienced OOMstyle lag on the Beta 😩
I also experience a lot of lag due to seasonal villager outfits (not sure if same mod or different), but I just live with it 🙃

@lament prairie Twinsies! and I love the succulents on your icon 🙂 i did test a couple of things. I dont get the lag if I have SVE or Ridgeside village, but if I have both installed, it lags like crazy
SVO, RSV and SVE are pretty big mods
Nope. It just lagged and it took me 20 in game minutes to get to my door. 👀 happened after I tried to use SVE again. Before I just had longer loading times between night and day but something like that didn't occur at all.
Ah so it could just be a bug in one of the mods itself then. I accidentally introduced one of those to my mod recently, and fixed it in the next version.

idk about SVE since it's been a while since I have played it as a standalone expansion. RSV worked perfectly fine on 1.5.4 (with 140+ extra mods though no big ones)
For me the longer load times just happen when saving but the frame drops are very much at least once a day

I tested with only 5 debug mods, FTM and visible fish and it lagged

There was an issue where it kept on redrawing itself more and more over time due to a bug on one of the earlier versions

its a little big but its separated from pelican town, and the NPCs and storylines are wonderful!
Well, the thing about these is like
You can run any or truthfully almost all of them
Virtually all of the really big content mods involve so much effort that the authors inevitably run into each other, and in most cases it's not hard to make them compatible.
The one that really messes with town a lot is SVE and there's not really anything else on that level.

smapi is the modding framework for all mods
vortex is like a launcher
Modding with Stardew is extremely easy, so there's no real point in using mod launchers, at least not Vortex
ModDrop is another mod manager like Vortex, if you wanted to try it. We recommend manual install over the mod managers though, because it is simple and reduces chance of errors
You install Smapi, download mod, unzip it, put folder in mod's folder that Smapi made
It has a chance at messing up even if you do know what you're doing. It particularly dislikes manifests for some reason

It's just a recolor right? I don't see why it wouldn't, as long as it was updated for 1.5
Toned Down hasn't been updated since January of 2020. So it won't give you errors, but it won't look right.
Well there you go, it wasn't updated for 1.5, which came out in Dec 2020.
My experience using pre 1.5 recolors is that you'll have a few weird spots and some things, like the bulletin board for special orders, will be invisible.
Also, the one I had made Willy's barrel for bug guts into a very weird statue thing. XD (accidentally)
But they're quite usuble.

this community really frowns on modpacks to be honest. if you are planning to share it, moddrop and wabbajack both have features where you can properly credit original mod authors and get their consent to host their mod; nexus's new feature will do that at some point too. if you just upload a bunch of mods to nexus as a "pack" it will get taken down, and it's also scummy to put it all on mediafire or something and link it under a video. basically people here will see the word modpack and go on alert

you have to change the console into 'mark' mode for that to work often times, which you see in the right click on the title menu, it can be really fiddly, but is possible

Cicada, you have some more erros along that line, go through your log and look for them.
The yellow you can mostly ignore; it's just smapi letting you know it's cleaning up from you removing RSV or whatever.
I know those ones, I just don't know what this fishing error is or why it's doing this or how to make it stop

Since your lower limit (minimum time) is too big, you can try raising or lowering fishing skill if there's a cheat mod for that, and see if that helps the problem

The good thing about the new one is they have a config option for headcanons you don't vibe with. So if you don't see a certain character as LGBT, you can turn off their dialogue changes.

I just uninstall SMAPI personally, but you can also put a . in front of the mods folder name
like rename it to .Mods

Just to clarify since I didn't see it mentioned, that error is just from changing the date from a festival day to a non-festival day, e.g. if you world_setseason summer on the day of the flower dance, you'll get that error since there is no festival for that date.

Hey, so this is just a very odd question, but does anybody recognize this cake from a mod? My friend and I are playing a modded campaign together and we just hit year 3. I've completed all of the trash bear's other requests and this is the last one. Neither of us have the recipe unlocked and we're not sure how to get it, let alone what mod it came from. there is a search in lookup anything I do believe, you can also I think do a f1 lookup on collection items you havent seen (atleast in the not hide all progress mode)

Does anyone else have an issue with the mod “Working Fireplace”? It’s not a huge issue, but basically what the mod does is it requires wood to light your fireplace. My issue is, it sometimes doesn’t take the wood and still lights the fireplace. Just a minor issue.

oh youve already done the steps, thats great! now you can wait til nexus is back up and download mods, unzip them and place the folder in your Mods folder. you can still launch the game now to make sure its launching through SMAPI

Oh, that's just Nexus letting you know that you need SMAPI. You have SMAPI installed, so you can ignore that message.
When a mod has requirements, Nexus will double check that you know you need them before downloading. Like Elizabeth said, Nexus has no clue what's on your computer. It's just reminding you to download the required mods if you haven't already.

I am at 99% completion but I can't finish it because for some reason an item I need to craft is gone. It's the campfire. The only added items I have are a piggy bank and a dog house and neither of them appear to replace campfire. How do I make it come back, I am so close I don't wanna have to start over

i just upgraded my watering can but the charging feature isn't working (like when u hold the button and it does a few tiles instead of only one)

for the campfire a way to do it technically is using cjb item spawner to spawn it in and then just delete the materials you would need to normally craft it?
Easier Farming is a mod which changes the watering can and hasn't been updated in over 2 years, that's likely the cause of your issues.
I’m having trouble with the PPJA Farmer to Florist mod. I think. It could also be one of the others, maybe the Mail Framework mod. When I use the most recently updated version of Farmer to Florist, which uses Dynamic Game Assets (DGA), mailings that are supposed to include a tree or a recipe don’t have that thing attached. I’ve had to revert back to a previous version of Farmer to Florist which uses Json Assets. I hope this is clear. Can somebody please help me figure out where I’m going wrong? Thank you!

The original Info, if it works fine for you, use it, but it has issues with the zooming that's fixed in Info 2, and I believe Info 2 is compatible with the beta of the game

and with "fix" i mean i realized i installed a mod that changes the tool charging system so u can choose the charge amount by scrolling and it remembers it

Hmm... not familiar with Key Suppressor, what does that do? Suppress Keys I assume.
Range Highlight depends on SMAPIs Input events, so if the inputs are suppressed, I'd imagine it wouldn't work

So fury, I've had it where the Bag of Holding wont always put items into it, or items are unable to be put into it, have you encountered anything similar?

Bag of holding is only setup to accept specific item types:

"category_fruits",
"category_vegetable",
"category_monster_loot",
"category_metal_resources",
"category_building_resources",
"category_minerals",
"category_crafting",
"category_gem",
"category_junk"
So if an item doesn't belong to one of those categories, it won't accept them
that would be it
You can add to those categories by editing the expanded-storage.json file
