there's a few reshade mods but they aren't like Minecraft shaders

Hi guys! Is there a way to increse the difficulty? Like taxes, more ressources for crafting or stuff like this?

SVE also has some option for increased crafting costs and lower profit margins
Also setting up your game, vanilla provides the "profit margins" option where you can make it harder to earn money

Start with an easy one like dialog or a recipe.
That'll get you in and you'll have something you cans ee the results of in under an hour.
If you like that, you can start getting more complicated.

There's been quite a few 1.5.5 beta builds. The game doesn't really use semantic versioning, so all the builds have the same 1.5.5 version (since they're all beta builds for the upcoming 1.5.5 release). It might help if you use Yagisan's Custom NPC locations if you aren't already.
I think I remember something about the original NPC Locations not working so well these days, but couldn't swear to it.

well for starters, you need to update all your mods. second, you need to delete SVE and reinstall it because its not loading in
and you can only have grandpa's farm OR immersive farm, not both
And the culprit was ArmorOre mod, I would have never guessed in a million years..

Some Mods don't have to be installed on both sides. For example visual changes (recolours).
Are there any known nonobvious conflicts with Expanded Storage ?
I'm using 6480's Storage Variety with it and it doesn't work on my main save ( recipes don't show up, buying them from robin doesn't add them and just takes my money).
It works properly on a second minimal profile and it's driving me nuts

It's not the answer you're looking for but you could try removing half the mods, then see if it's still not working, to narrow down which mod is causing the bad interaction

It doesn't automatically sell anything unless it's in a machine group connected to a shipping bin, in which case it will put things in machines first and only put them in the shipping bin if it cant put them in a machine

It works so far as I know, and I haven't seen any reports of issues with it. If you're having memory issues, updating to Stardew Valley 1.5.5 beta would probably be more beneficial though.

Curiosity on my part, is anyone currently using Get Glam and it working? I saw comments saying no but checking in
I don't know about in the beta, but I know it.. partially works in 1.5.4, with a ton of glitches and bugs
It's recommended to not use it due to them. I used it in multiplayer, and as the farmhand, my male farmer kept getting turned into a lady because of it

I see you have some updates available for several mods, listed at the top of your log with convenient links. I recommend getting those, especially since one is for Downtown Zuzu.
Otherwise, have you checked the Downtown Zuzu and Walk to the Desert Redux mod descriptions to see if anyone else has reported the same issue?
Idk if it's working in the beta, but I use Customize Anywhere to change my farmer's appearance. You'd need to use hair mods that use Content Patcher (CP), and it only has the options from the vanilla character creation menu, but it's still pretty good.
For clothes I use JA mods
You can use multiple CP hair mods if they use the non-replacing format... plus at least one CP mod that uses the straight out replacing format

there is a nice newish hair mod out called something like "Ace and Luministra's Hairstyle Bundle" that uses the non_replacing format ... I just downloaded it the other day & it gives you plenty of choices This works well with Customize Anywhere also... word of warning, however, they start off their hairstyles at a deity-awful number, so if you want to use them, start clicking your hairstyle arrow backwards from 1

Speaking of choices, I am looking for a farmhouse reskin that has a "beachy" look to it... I swear I saw it on Nexus just a bit ago, but was not interested at the time. Now I'm thinking of maybe a beach farm map & those houses would look good on it (I hope) (If I can ever find them) Naturally I can't remember what the mod was called!

Ugh, i'm starting to think disabling FTM entirely is a good fix for my lag issue

It depends on your preferences and what you prioritize. Want a quick, convenient modding experience? Use Vortex. Want more control and less of a likelihood for errors? Do manual.

cuz many people here already had issues with it that made it extremely annoying for them to mod their game or to stop using vortex afterwards
If you want a safe approach go for manual management, if you want to use a Mod Manager use Mod Organizer 2 since it works with stardew valley
im trying to go for manual, its a bit confusing but i am sure i will get it!
How well does Mod Organizer 2 work? I use Vortex, and really don't wanna go back to manually modding these files.
I wasn't even aware of Mod Organizer 2! Shows how much I know. I thought Vortex and ModDrop were the only options for managers.
You can use it but you need an extra plugin and for SDV it's overkill, since it's just extracting files to the Mods folder
mods have their own folder, and when you launch the game, MO2 loads all the enable mods into a virtual Mods folder, and launches SMAPI, only minor issue is that it currently puts config files in the overwrite folder, but that can be either a plus or a negative depending on how organized you like to be

I like ModDrop as a mod sharing site, but I personally avoid managers. Manual is more work and a steeper learning curve, but it's worth it in the end, to me at least.

Did you get to the part where it says you need to specify in the config.json to use the wood paths as connectors? This is also an optional download on the mod page

i have it set up to where theres a mini shipping bin connected to all my mayo machines, but i get 8 eggs per day, and only have 6 machines
so it tries to sell the extra 2 eggs instead of waiting to make it into mayo
welp... short of adding another machine, (or selling chickens) you could just disconnect the direct route
I just let mine build up in the autograbber until I need some cash for something

I find it annoying
open map, press Tab if on keyboard and Y if on controller, and it'll open a menu
this menu has both an option to turn the minimap off, and a bit showing the toggle-minimap hotkey
so you know which button you pressed to turn it on and can change it to something else if it's inconvient
I can't remember, is there also a way to toggle it off completely as an option in the config?
Looking at global.json under config folder of the mod, "ShowMinimap": false probaby turns it off

Then you should have an Error Logs folder. If you don't, SMAPI isn't installed correctly. Check the steps in the guide. Often people miss the steam launch options, or turns out they didn't copy the full text they needed.

I just walked in (more or less) so I have no background on your issue, so what mod do you use to reskin your creatures? If it's Adopt & Skin, you can use just about any skins as long as the png is formatted correctly
In other words you can just take the images you want out of whatever type mod ... CP included... and use them in Adopt & Skin as long as you rename it in accordance with all the other skins in A&S

Don't use xnb files "as is" unless you are hypervigilant about keeping all changes documented... they can go a long way toward breaking your game

you can change them into png files & stick them into Adopt & Skin and at the very worst you will just get a yellow warning about them being in the wrong format
Those look to be right as far as image set up goes... by that I mean the right number of images per row, etc. all they would need is to be named correctly

For instance, this is a file from the Fennekin CP mod that I thought was really cute... but I wanted it for cats since I always get cats.. So I just put it into A&S and named it as a cat. True it does "meow" now, but it wouldn't fit with a dog bark anyway... All kudos go to the original mod maker for artwork, etc., I just had to bring it into my game in this form for my personal set up
so i updated all my mods and removed the ones that were unneeded/glitching out and my npcmaplocations is still glitching does anyone know why?

i was just super confused as to why it was doubled, but when i broke the world i was screwing with mods anyway and half of them were broken beforehand so it makes sense that that's when uiinfosuite kicked in
and yes, definitely go update all your mods
i just did that a few hours ago and it seems way more annoying to do than it actually was
open your finder/file viewer on half the screen and have the smapi.io log open in chrome, go through your mod folder and select all the ones youre about to update and then i moved them all to my desktop temporarily
then you just click all the links at the top of your parsed log page, have it open them all in new tabs, and download all the new ones and then unzip and move them all to your mod folder in bulk
and update smapi first and foremost
is there some tool that checks for updates and does it auto?
it do be a chore to have to update them all :')
unfortunately not (at least none that i know of)
The npcmaplocation works more accurately
plus, manually updating is better because its less risky for files to get jumbled
(vortex technically does the work for you but its not recommended at all)

I'm still having issues with smapi recognizing launching through steam (for achievements). I have to put in the launch option string into steam every day before launching, even though nothing in it has changed. hey there, i need some help with my SVE mod, i have recently installed the SVE mod and tried it on single player, it works great. However, when I host a multiplayer game with a friend, he is facing issues with moving around the map. The farm that we are using is grandpa's farm. Everything is fine on the other map tho, just in grandpa's farm.

It depends on what kind of mod it is. If it's a JSON Assets content pack, it can cause IDs to get shuffled, changing a bunch of items throughout your inventories
It's FeTK and Tool Delivery. Apparently they're causing some issues with items not showing up in my letters, and therefore the letter isn't disappearing

It should be a toolkit mod, something about making mod building easier or something

If you ae running SVE, I don't know of any Marlon mods that will work... it is really hard to even get an alt portrait going for him. Not running SVE, then Make Marlon real still works
Dunno if Multiple Spouses plays well with SVE, but I do believe there is something like Date and Marry everyone in SVE
Multiple Spouses works perfectly fine with SVE, Ridgeside, pretty much all custom NPCs

Am married to the Wizard from SVE's version of him, Ian from Ridgeside, and Elliott from vanilla and aside from standing on top of each other, they all behave perfectly fine

No, you need another mod for that
Well, I have the seasonal villagers outfits and what I find strange about it is that they dont dress up for certain events like spirit's eve or the flower dance
Bc there was a time where I played with sve and they were all dressed for said occasion
I'm playing SVE with nothing on seasonal outfits and everyone looks the same year round
id recommend using DSV https://www.moddrop.com/stardew-valley/mods/580603-diverse-stardew-valley-dsv-seasonal/ :D they add multiple outfits for every villager and they dress up for all events too! (if you dont want the diversity edits you can turn them off in the config, so instead of modded, you'd choose vanilla)

That I believe has to be fixed by the mod author? If that's a similar error to what I was dealing with while making my farm map not too long ago. I don't remember the exact error, but basically it couldn't the right tilesheets, so it refused to load

Dependencies like that prevent mods from loading at all if you don't have it installed, especially when it comes to maps
you would need to manually activate and deactivate the mods depending on the world
if you launch the one with the red arrow, it launches vanilla. blue arrow for modded games
Yes. Either move the mods out temporarily by keeping them in a folder, or by simply putting a period in front of the folder's name that you don't want loaded, and then remove that period before launching it when you do want them loaded

i think some only show up in a specific season and after a specific event? you might have better luck asking at the SVE server

And at a fairly decent rate too.

If anything it'd probably be a lot harder for it to distinguish all the fish that could ever be caught in an area, instead of just the ones you can currently catch

Unless there's a compatibly version of the mod, I never really look under the Misc files, that, and it never said it had an update because it was under it
Makes sense. The beta is probably not super popular yet, so for most people it'd just be annoying to get an update notification that would break their game if they installed it
beta came right on time for me, I was starting to get oom errors due to mod count π
Pathos did some really stunning work on backwards compatibility. It's amazing how many mods work straight out of the box. I think that 90% compat target was definitely hit.

I actually updated to the beta because I'd get random lag in the skull caverns, and it was insanely frustrating to be on like level 120 and then have to stop because the game is literally unplayable.
Yeaah, the beta is still kinda iffy right now, but me and my cousin kept getting way too many OOM issues so we finally gave in. Seems it's mostly stable right now, and has been for the last few updates
So at least right now we're good
Yeah, the only problem is the occasional breaking things like when PyTK stopped working, but it seems like Pathos refactored all of those so...
the only thing I had issues with in the beta is animated textures, I get insane stutters with those mods
after all the exciting things happening in the modding world, I'm going to at least boot up the game to get the SMAPI log of how many mods need updates >_> I'm not going on the beta, but it'll still likely be a big sadface to get all them updates
don't know if there's a specific one that causes it, I just removed every CP-A mod and the stutters were gone

You actually don't need to uninstall SMAPI first. Just run the installer and say install. SMAPI cleans up the old files by itself

Iβm never going to delete the cracked bc for some reason the steam version, like I had a save file on the cracked and when I bought the game I didnβt have to start over it just brought it over from the cracked one
So I donβt want to delete it bc idk what it would do to the purchased file

deleting the non-appdata files of the cracked version will not touch your purchased version or your saves

i used to crack Slime Rancher and then bought it on steam and the saves kept being there after i deleted the cracked
The way cracked vers work is changing stuff in the main game to work outside of the main launcher

Only insane fps drops every so often a day, i tried to track down FTM but after testing it alone with my farm map, it didn't lag after 6am, and right now i just added my debug mods (cjbs, debug mod) and my own mods, and visible fish, so my tracking down has led me to think it's visible fish π€·ββοΈ @snow prism
funny enough my visible fish settings is set to density 0.2 and max fish to 250
A lot of mods got updates, SMAPI will probably tell you if it's outdated though once you switch to 64 bit beta

VF doesnt do a lot of stuff suddenly, just a bit all the time normally π€
like, it varies between 3-5 drops once an ingame day, and a lot of times it happens after noon or when it's getting night time

Is there a way to change the crop yield/sell price of certain mods? I use Fizzy Drinks. However the Guarana crop is very badly balanced to the point that it gives you more cash than any other crop out there. I was wondering how I could go in and edit the sell price.
