I think that just means you don't have BFAV installed? I didn't notice any mods on your list that used it so you can probably disregard that.
so now to look through my files, remove the xnb's and put the vanillas back and see about if there are content patches

admitted ive seen multiple other json mods that also keep female shane in mind (such as a dialog fix and npcmaplocation markers)

Also, I see that it says that you can't update already owned cabins. What if I run the save on single player and update the already existing cabins? Has anyone tried that before?

but if i were to have 2 mods that both add portraits of the same character, (listen them in order shown in the folder) i want the second mod's main functions to run but the portrait of the first
can i simply relocate the first mods portraits and overwrite the second ones
or should i put them in a certain order or something else?
I think you would probably want to look into using Portraiture?
I haven't tried that. Might want to make a testing save file to see what happens.
Okie I'll try that with a previous multiplayer save that I don't use anymore. Have you used the mod in general? If so, will it mess our game? I'm reading that it has bugs that's why I'm curious
I don't play multiplayer so not really. I tend to be very wary of mods that have a lot of bugs though like Love of Cooking. It's always worth doing a thorough test before introducing them to an existing game.
You can use CJB Cheats and Item Spawner to help with testing too.

I do wonder one thing, the mod i wish to have changes a character's over world sprite and matching portrait at random days and back other days
would the function of portraiture keep tabs on that as well ir should I have to fix said characters portrait each time to match it?

admitted in rl that is actually possible but even then its rare so...

add an elemental system, in theory it should be simple flag's, a fire type weapon would deal double damage to a nature type monster cause it reads the flags set for that
have to add in a load of items off course XD
and new monsters to fill in the elemental gaps
I also want to see about reverse, like elemental armor but then i also need to include resistance and create a two way street
but all in due time XD
so far ive at least added some new crops, but i have to test them out first
Yo... Since when has SDV saved settings across save files O_O
I have a feeling the Smapi beta is locking up for me? It loads fine for a while, nice and quick, but after a certain point it just.. stops, doesn't do anything. I get that I have a lot of mods, but the 32bit loads it just fine and only locks up for a small bit of time when it's dealing with custom music things
But when it happens on 32bit, it unlocks after maybe a few minutes. This is locking up for much longer
I've been having this issue too. I find that if I left click it will unstick, but I have no idea what's causing it in the first place.
Might be something worth submitting and issue on the smapi github for.

Normally clicking it will make it pause ( Useful in reading errors if you're getting spammed with them ) , but it's not paused, it's just.. stuck. It's been stuck on the same area for 6 minutes now

Hi im using Stardew Valley Expanded and Grandpa's Farm (its edit for default farm) when i load in game and pick that farm it keeps using the not edited version, I've installed them with vortex and ran it with SMAPI

Manually installing mods with Stardew is very very easy and is much more reliable

The game hasn't came out with 1.5.5 officially yet, it's still in beta, so the game is still in 1.5.4 until the newest update is publicly released

No, it's still being worked on. It's likely going to be the last update for Stardew, but it's set to come out "sometime in fall"

I kept getting OEM's with 32bit. So I was forced to switch

Nothing says you have to have a modlist that results in ooms and then switch to 64-bit and deal with bugs

Anyway, clearly you have some mod modifying the looks of things but failing to load any images
So just disable some mods until you find the culprit. Put a period (a . ) in front of the folder names to temporarily disable.

Sometimes mod authors forget to update the version number in manifest.json. If there's not actually an update either officially or unofficially (see smapi.io/mods), then you can either ignore them or update the manifest yourself to remove the notification.

I think nexus sometimes eats your update too if all you do is fix something like a version number
So it's not uncommon for them to just wait until they have a larger update.

the only time they use those "custom" sheets is for peoples houses
all the other stuff is vanilla
have not gotten so far as to mod dialoge in any game, well except pokemon gba roms with scripts edit but i had issues with getting the size of the text to match the box right XD
ie the town map only uses the custom sheet for victor and olivia's house and a couple decorations (which can easily be removed)

As far as I can tell, there aren't any errors. I'm starting the game again ( I'm literally just trying to test out my farm map ;; Not even interested in playing right now ) , I'll post one when it acts up again

I think you can get multiple shipping bins, but I can't recall if that's in the base game or if it was a mod.

Hopefully loading into a multiplayer farm won't cause the same issues..
Do you use content patcher animations? Try removing that, it may help.
If you have automate, setting the rate for that higher may also help.
It could also be that if you updated your gpu drivers and it switched to the onboard GPU for Stardew, which you have to set back
In case of Nvidia, go to your Nvidia control panel (right click desktop), select the 2nd option on the left and then select Stardewmoddingapi.exe and Stardew valley.exe and set GPU to Nvidia gpu
I can't remember if I have the animations anymore or not, but I'll be sure to remove it if I do next time I check. Going to be working on pixel art for a while to distract myself

Okay, so you have some files for beta, but I don't think you are using the beta version of the game.
You need to either use the beta or not.
If you choose not to, just don't get anything specifically for the beta.

If you haven't opted in on steam and don't plan to, then I would stick with non-beta stuff.
What I would do is go through your red errors near the top one at a time.

On the mod's Nexus page when you go to download the file, it'll tell you which files are for the beta or not
That's always an option.
So far only a handful of mods are explicitly for the beta
So you shouldn't have many to redownload
It would maybe break any existing save to do it that way
For smapi for example, the top file is for normal games and the bottom one is for beta games.

what I can find, some of the config.json files didnt come with the download, or didnt extract properly and just arent there at all
yyou probly have a kink in your config file, since there are different variations of his sprite. Here is what my config file setup is... I use the anime portrats, but you can change that to whichever ones you like

I'm currently working on a cleaner version of his beach lifeguard sprite, because the original is really blurry... but again, use it if you like
If you removed the other portraits/sprites, you would have to deal with commenting out sections in the content.json, which is a pain... best plan is just to redowload the mod & use the above lines in your config

CJB cheats lets you edit friendship levels to any value

I don't think any of those errors have to do with Garden Variety UI. 
Try double checking your config file?
looks like you maybe had custom walls and floors and uninstalled it?
Otherwise the only thing I can think that would break it is something loading in something in the same files UIs edit. But you would still probably have parts of Garden Variety showing up if that were the case.

After you installed SMAPI it should have given you a line that you need to put into the game's launch options in Steam. Without it, it won't launch with SMAPI to my understanding.
once in the stardew valley local files folder you'll want to doubleclick the stardewmoddingapi/pufferchick/'yellow chicken' program

Does anyone know what mod adds a bunch of candies (chocolate bars, chocolate bunnies, chocolate milk even) to the game? The icons are kinda low quality (which I don't mind) but after the egg festival everyone I talk to hands me candy and it's kinda OP.

yeah it looks like TMXL is trying to do something with wallpaper in a shed
it errors once for every wallpaper and floor tile in that shed
I'm also curious if the wallpaper bug is affecting alternative textures. I just updated it to 4.2.0, and smapi is skipping it when loading

lmao i can't. i've been like pulling my hair our trying to figure out what was wrong with my game. I was like individually mod testing each and every mod, turning all of my mods on and off one at a time

the other day there was a beta update that let people add custom languages
and for a few hours it was impossible to launch beta smapi since it couldnt handle the changes to how lanugages worked
Oh! Is that what that i8n (or something) folder is for? I saw that in my mod folder and removed it yesterday because smapi said it didn't have a manifest file, and I didn't recognize it

the players love it, but mod makers less so.
it does add a lot of new stuff, and expands on various themes, not necessarily in the decision you may personally imagine that they go.
and it can cause compatibility issues with otehr mdos.
so if you want: pink-haired cosplay girl, grumpy redneck farmer, and rich mother and son (adult), plus a lot of Adventure Guild stuff and some really visually stunning (albeit occasionally cluttered) maps, then go for it (oh and two bored salesclerks).

Worth trying once just so you know how it plays, but there are a lot of fun mods out there and and many aren't compatible with SVE because of how much it changes.
Also, if you get into SVE your best resources will the the SVE reddit or discord sever, not here.

first things first it says that content patcher can't load since you have two copies
Content Patcher because you have multiple copies of this mod installed. To fix this, delete these folders and reinstall the mod: Mods\ContentPatcher, Mods\LFM\ContentPatcher.
idk what LFM is but either way, pick one
also two copies of PYTK?
You may also want to update TMXL
that seems like it'll take care of most of the issues, the other errors have to do with walk of life
which may just resolve itself if you fix the former issues

updating is generally a good idea if you're having issues
though as always, read the description and the read the comments on whatever page you download from

i just saw steam managed to update the beta stardew despite my best efforts to prevent it... is this new version game breaking and does PyTK/SMAPI etc. work or am i better off sticking to the depot version i have backed up from a few weeks ago?
my rolled back version was working 100% fine bar a few minor mods so im tending towards keeping using that
There's an unofficial fix for PyTK so everything that depends on it seems to be working.
But yeah, there's a few mods that are uncompatible now, with the biggest one on my list being Alternative Textures.

I have had the same issue recently too, you don't need to delete the farm mod to fix it: You can open the content.json and erase the code which makes the change to font_bold and save

Hello! I'm using SVE with Immersive Farm 2 Remastered in online co-op and I can't see myself or him when we are in the farm area. He's using the same mods as me and he can see me and himself. The problem is manifesting only in the farm area and only on my side. Any fixes? Thanks.

If it's not the map, then it's a mod that's affecting it.

as for before, tbh if installed the game, run it, got my mods and run it to set up the configs
then kept running it and checking the logs to remove all red lines
as such I have yet to be able to play, but in a previous test save (which I have deleted by now cause of changes to the mods) I had the same issue and most mods did not even work at that time (well various did, but my first log i posted here was with a lot not working)

For some reason editing your cursor xnb messes the light pixel
If you reset that certain file i think it will fix your problem
lucky i got the vanilla files safely stored
but what does cursor do then (i found it odd to start with, its a sprite and portrait mod, so why have a cursor file?)

renaming folders isn't reliable always, setting a manifest dependency should be reliable, but it requires you to know which mods you want it to override

custom maps don't always have same asset names that other mods use
My suggestion, post a message to the mod that replaces the textures, and see if they'll update it to support the map you're using
chances are slim, they havent been active since july
other way around then? see if the map mod can be updated to support the graphics one?
other than that, only other thing i can think of is figure out how the mods work and to some "coding" and file renaming
well so i tried a manifest but it went terribly
had the waterfall farm require the recolor (at this point left the recolor alone) but then it didnt load the farm map at all
(you can also recolor the tileset they're using for that edge yourself if the author doesnt!)
maybe there's other recolor mods to try?
and then i tried to make it required false in the recolor, true in the farm map and it loaded the farm but not recolor
nah, this is like the best recolor ive ever seen. I'll just have to make give up on my dream farm if i cant get the name to work

I'm having trouble launching stardew from vortex. I just got a new pc and can't launch it with smapi. When i try launching smapi by itself it says it cant find the game. do i just make a mods folder in the stardew valley folder and run it there?
@torn estuary i have good news and bad news, the good news is: daisyniko's tilesheets (specifically [insertseason]_daisyextras) is the culprit for that vanilla look since daisy's tilesheets have support for every recolor except the one you're using

nono, the map youre using, uses tilesheets from daisyniko's tilesheets
rosier only recolors vanilla stuff
and daisy doesnt support rosier
so you can contact daisyniko in hopes that she makes it compatible with rosier
or recolor it yourself

yup! thats the tilesheet being used in the map youre using. theres spring, summer, fall and winter variants of it hence why i wrote [insert season]
