Check the mod page on nexus, not sure if there's a different download for Android. If there isn't, get a version from before Dec 20, 2020. The mod description talks about how to use it

There's no need to install the beta versions under old mods. With the latest SMAPI beta, the non-beta versions work fine in the beta too. (Though it's fine to keep the beta versions if you already have them.)

Yep, it should work on macOS as long as you have the Steam client.
Yup, @BloomFearless, you'll want to make sure you don't have trailing numbers in your mod folders otherwise the mods won't load because the name is too long

Pathos, here's a log from someone also mentioning that UI info suite isnt working, they tried UI info suite 2 and got the same error i believe
Do you have mod folders that have a bunch of numbers in the folder name? If so, delete the numbers

I'm a bit sad, but it's better to start a save where getting hay isn't going to be a total pain
I tried it and even bought a new silo just to check if it's not going to magically work, but same thing kept happening so I abandoned the thought of playing on that save. thanks for the idea though

So here's a question about the out of memory exceptions. Mine is definitely happening because I have too many things installed, and 32 but just can't use all my available ram. I've seen the 64 but upgrade (unofficial), but it breaks a lot of mods that weren't built for it. Any ideas on how to tell which mods are the most memory hungry?
Custom music mods, mods with lots of assets (like seasonal outfits), and big overhauls (think SVE and RSV)
For custom music packs, you can set Preload to false and that helps a little

hi! im having problems getting festival of the mundane to work. it loads like, part of the sewer map but nothing else. i asked about this the other day but nobody on at the time knew what to do with it bc I'm on mobile, so i thought i'd try asking again just in case. thanks in advance!!!

You're missing a lot of files from mods, you're gonna have to manually reinstall all the ones saying they're missing their manifest folder
(I recommend deleting and then dropping a fresh copy into your folder, not just overwriting them)

XNB mods are not recommended and mostly deprecated! Avoid using them if you can

Yes. And they also limit the number of mods you can have
You always want to find out CP mods
CP mods you can freely install and uninstall without breaking your game or your files apart
XNB mods can break entire safe files
The first link in the Governor message above lets you search for Content Patcher alternatives for XNB mods
the problem with the naver in question is that the mods are quite nice, but they only use xnb mods
But I'm going to avoid and use Nexus mods anyway
what i do is take the png files from the xnb mods and use them to replace the assets of a cp mod. i hope it makes sense 😂

i've never played on mobile so i don't know how it would work, but if you have access to a computer to use a xnb extractor i'm sure it would work in theory? if anyone knows better feel free to correct me

Note that you can have SMAPI modding on Android, but I think some folks have had some issues recently
biggest hassle for moi is finding old versions of mods, especially core mods that other depend on like pytk
then too, so many neat mods need toggle keys & that is hard to do on Android
I could live happily with the old versions of mods if only Android could accept chat commands.... but since there isn't an Android multiplayer, there isn't chat
I dunno if chat commands could be morphed into smapi console commands
I'm having a problem with either the Child Age Up mod or the Child to NPC mod. For some reason there is a duplicate version of the first Child in the bed and it doesn't move or have any reaction. I looked everywhere for solutions to fix it, but I can't find it. Can someone please help me?
I saw something similar (about duplicate kid) a while back, but can't remember who was posting... did you post on mods site at Nexus? Maybe the mod author has a fix for this problem
For anyone that uses the tractor mod, will any mod that changes the horse work for it?

It could be a conflict between the 2 mods if you run both... both make basic changes to the kid & maybe that is the problem... why not disable one and see if problem goes away
nope... you can not change tractor by using a horse mod, tho you can have both a horse and a tractor going
Oh okay. Since the tractor is basically a horse (in a sense) I thought maybe I could use a horse mod to change the look of the tractor

I have a mod that replaces four corners farm, and I found one that replaces riverland. I want to create a new save in the custom map of riverland without having to delete the four corners map. Is it possible or does the game start with only 1 custom map installed?
in other words, is it possible to start the game with two custom maps installed? (each replaces a different type of farm)
you can't have 2 custom maps going... if you mean to just add a Riverland custom map that'll work
can't have 2 custom maps going at same time... they will try to load the same resources & geme will ignore both and go to default

you only get one "farm"
it's resources are named the same no matter which map you use. game will only load 1 of each basic resource
if i download more mods to a existing save do i have to do anything special or will the farm just load normally
unless the mods conflict with what you have going, it ought to just chug right along

recolor mods can be a bit tricky... If you are loading an "all over" type recolor you ought to be ok... if you have custom maps for parts of your game, then the recolor may or may not cover those
or you could have "spots" appear on the custom maps
You can have a mod replace each farm type. I have mods that replace pretty much every single farm except the Hilltop one. Can't find one for that map that I like.
well i checked and it says the custom map i have is compatible with the recolor mod

yup, you have to start a new game for each map tho
Yup. You can use them on existing saves but it's not recommended. xD You end up with stuff in weird places

Make your own, or you can probably find a horse that you like and replace the tractor's images, it just might be.. funky
You can have multiple custom farm maps in your mods folder, no issue at all, as long as they don't overwrite the same maps

@weak void OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. Smapi creates a log even if there's no errors ( I only recently learned this! )

You would have had to take extra steps to get on the game beta, so it's likely you have version 1.5.4

SVE has a beta version, I think, but you don't have to download it. Just get the download for the current version

there was a file that smapi was asking me for which is Stardew Valley.dll, and i didn't find it but i found one named stardewvalleygamedata.dll, so i stupidly changed the name of it to what smapi wanted, so i think thats the problem
i did that before and it didn't fix it but imma try again now

was this a weird looking furniture at the farmhouse cellar entrance?
Hi folks. I have a mod installed, which adds the NPC Zoro to my game. Whenever I go to open it, I get an alert with the following message:
[05:02:06 WARN Content Patcher] Ignored Zoro > Movie Reactions: can't use the Target field with an Include patch.
This did not prevent the mod from loading or anything like that, but I've always been curious to know how I solve the problem of this alert, does anyone know how to solve it?

So I transfer all my mods and updated SMAPI to the new beta and SV 1.5.5, I haven't fully played yet but I got some issues on start up
The Harvest with Scythe errors says to report it to github with your log
What's the github? I'll report it after I add a couple of missing mods

I mentioned before you can get rid of Custom Farming Automate Bridge. You have Custom Farming Redux but as far as I can see, you don't have any packs for it. You can get rid of Custom Farming Redux as well as Custom Farming Automate Bridge

That’s how i usually do it.. some mods actually warn against simply overwriting the old folders.

Might want to downgrade for a bit. It's possible some mods just won't work with the new smapi yet.

Oh, I have the cuter aesthetics mods for both vanilla and SVE
so basically i updated some mods but then smapi gave me an error saying they werent compatible with that version so i updated smapi from 3.12.5 to 3.12.6 and now when the console is loading the game it keeps freezing on specific part and not loading the game. heres the log: https://smapi.io/log/48b94996b3624f219250ab230a4ad794

SVO has been hidden for far longer than that actually. there is the diverse stardew valley mod on moddrop that has an option to disable the diversity edits and is basically the same as SVO with that option as far as i know

I’m pretty lucky because I just got the game so if I messed up anything I’m not really losing anything besides the starting turnip seeds
please? I'm playing on Android, with mods but none of them should change textures of interior furniture. After the Penny's last heart event the bed appeared with a wooden floor texture instead of her custom made bedspread. I found only one person who had the same problem a year ago but it never got solved 
I know nothing about android, but the only thing I can think of is one of your mods is for 1.5 instead of 1.4

It wouldn't necessarily show any if a texture is loading wrong.

Custom NPC Exclusions is a beta version as well. Try the non-beta version
You may have to rollback to the last version of smapi. Seems Stardew Valley Expanded is no longer compatible

Yah the last error just means the mod is missing its manifest file. You can redownload the file and pop that single file in there, and it should work

The SMAPI warns are common, I get those everytime I start the game. SpaceCore though... it's unknown right now. I just got that one

I think PyTK needs to be updated to the new spacecore. Personally I'm not updating smapi or the other mods until someone says that PyTK/spacecore error is nothing major

it's a mess in a lot of ways... most of the mods that my log says need updating do not need updating, such as the Industrial Furniture stuff, the manifest is just off. Others of those mods have bet versions that are indeed a higher version number but are useless for a non testing game

SVE 1.13.12 is for the beta smapi, while SVE 1.13.11 is for smapi 3.12.6. i'm not sure what their requirements are, but 1.13.11 should work at least
Reinstalling Mono usually fixes that on macOS: https://www.mono-project.com/download/stable/.
Yep, usually a freeze while loading on macOS happens when mods are trying to load PNG files and Mono isn't configured correctly. I'm not really sure why that happens, but reinstalling Mono seems to fix it. (Soon we won't have to worry about that anymore, since Stardew Valley 1.5.5 won't use Mono anymore.)
You just need to download the .pkg file from that site and run it, and it'll reinstall Mono.

hello! it's a recent issue and we've been playing on the same farm for a while. both of us were busy so we haven't touched stardew or its mods until now. worked just fine before and we share some mods (except he has CJB cheats n spawn, which i dont. but worked fine previously without us having the exact same mods). but when we played it now he just couldn't go to the town without crashing. we both updated our mods to see if it's the problem, but he still couldn't go to town
now it just force earlier

That's fair, but since it's crashing on his end, it's worth a try for him to test removing it. But it may not end up being the cause of the crash and you'd have to keep removing mods to narrow it down, unless someone else can chime in

yeah, you can change a lot of stuff with that mod, but some things you can't... such as beds. On one of the upgrades, you wind up with a bed right in front of the door. you can delete that bed, but I could never figure out how to put a new onei in. there is a message in re only the cabin owner can do that
Oh I don't want any beds in it. I just want more space! I have a cute little spot for it, and made a sign to mark the Jelly House. The host will probably get one for themself too

If all else fails, you could try the Stardew Valley 1.5.5 beta: https://www.patreon.com/posts/55035968. It uses different frameworks under the hood, so if it's an issue with one of the underlying game frameworks that may fix it.
(Keep in mind it's a beta though, so it's still experimental.)

Hi folks. I have a mod installed, which adds the NPC Zoro to my game. Whenever I go to open it, I get an alert with the following message:

This did not prevent the mod from loading or anything like that, but I've always been curious to know how I solve the problem of this alert, does anyone know how to solve it?

If you reinstall SMAPI 3.12.5 (and the older mod versions that don't need it), does everything work fine?
The author of that mod made a mistake in their code; I suggest reporting it on that mod's page so they can look into it.
@hot ore You can just run the 3.12.5 installer, it'll clean up the old files.

you need to look at the actual mod to sraighten that out. I have never actually done anything with moveie reactions, but it looks like they used mutally exclusive conditions. You might want to read up on modding in the wiki
Basically that warning happens when you do something like this:

The Include action just loads all the patches in the file, Target just doesn't make sense and doesn't do anything; so it's a mistake in the content pack code.

Next can you try updating SMAPI to 3.12.6 (but leave your mods at their current versions), try it again to see if the issue happens again, and post your new log?
(Worst case we know it works with the old versions, so you can always go back to that. If we can track down what specifically causes it, we can possibly fix that without locking you into old versions though.)
