OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. See this page for more info and common fixes: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Troubleshooting#OutOfMemoryException_errors_.28Windows_only.29.

anyone know of / have custom furniture (cf) versions of Yellog's Pink and or Soft furniture packs?
It looks like some how the horse mod you use, lost the chest it puts off screen, somehow. i know it hides a chest out of site someplace. You could try removing the mod, play a day and save, so the game knows the chest is gone. Then reinstall the mod. if it keeps happening or you don't want to try playing a day without. Post a bug report on the horse overhaul authors nexus page.

does anyone know why my game won't run with mods anymore? I used to be able to click the shortcut and sampi would startup. But now it just runs the regular game. If i try to start the game through smapi in my mods folder, smapi will run but the game won't pop up. I play through steam on windows

It's not broken? You have more people but they just haven't been attached to the introduction quest. Either because they are not programed into it, or you downloaded more npcs after starting that quest

open the fizzy drinks mods folder > go to the [JA] Fizzy drinks folder > Object folder > Tackleberry syrup > then open the object.json file in a text editor like notepad and copy paste what cerulean sent above

What’s the best mods for pc
Hey all I'm using SVE and Immersive Farm, the grandpas shed quest has started and I completed it. However the chest is still there and I can't trigger the cutscene so I can USE the shed. It's multiplayer on PC and one of the other players can see the shed as done. Smapi didn't show any errors either
i dont think they should be? the issue was with multiplayer, can you send a log?

You have the most recent SVE, correct? There was some Grandpa's Shed issue that only just got patched.
i figured it out! wasnt the update
100% up to date, this occurred on Sunday the 4th and again today. I have all mods up to date, no warnings or errors and nobody else in the multiplayer game is getting errors either. I am the host and the farmland can see the completed shed so idk whats going on
That does sound like a similar bug to what happened before. Definitely mention that in the SVE server, Flash may have not quite squashed it yet.

You don't have the tractor mod update to date, thus it's not been loading... which is probably why you have a horse in it's place
why does sve update the map onlocationchange? would it make a difference if i simply... didn't update it at that time

I'd double check that you've done all the steps in https://stardewcommunitywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Windows#Option_C:_use_Vortex and then also browse over https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Modding_Stardew_Valley_with_Vortex to make sure nothing was missed (they also have a handy video guide). If that doesn't fix it... Well, it's more of a vortex issue so you might have better help on the nexus mods discord at that point unfortunately. >.>a

I wanted to give a big thanks to @keen crow! I use the mod Color Smash (or is it Quality Smash?) to get all my flowers to be 1 color. After Red mentioned doing that consistently stops the JA Shuffle™, I tried it out and now I don't have shuffles in my flowers when I add / remove JA mods 
(the gems from More Gem have never shuffled and thank goodness because there are so many 😂)

Love of Cooking treats all recipes equally (though it won't rebalance the buffs of custom recipes if you've got that selected!)

Apparently, there are a few mods I missed when updating everything.
More Gem shuffle..? sound hell 
I sent some messages yesterday about this but I want to ask about this again, since hopefully different people will see it. The screen, enemies, and environment freeze at exactly 4:30 pm in my game, and I get a ton of errors in the log. I copied the first errors, here's the log below.
My character is still able to move, but objects stop moving and the screen doesn't scroll to my position unless I pause. I have tried removing a few mods, but this keeps happening. If anyone has had this happen before, or could look at the log and see if they notice anything, I would appreciate that.

suggestions:
- search your entire mods folder for a CP patch that comes active at 16:30 (https://github.com/Pathoschild/StardewMods/blob/develop/ContentPatcher/docs/author-tokens-guide.md#date-and-weather)
- keep removing mods until it stops happening, so you can identify which mod is causing it
otherwise you're just sort of stuck waiting until someone else has the same bug and recognizes it
@trim tiger the only options are mods that use child to npc to change them into npcs as far as i know. and yeah it has some bugs

You may try using Vortex if you want, but it sometimes cannot update/delete/download the mods correctly and causes issues 😦

Yep, DSV also includes the vanilla character options - all you need to do is set each character to "vanilla" in the config and it'll work exactly the same as SVO
Plus DSV has a lot more festival outfits & extra options like mermaid pendants, pyjamas, etc. than Slightly Cuter Aesthetic does 😄

Which one? Diverse SVE or Seasonal Outfits for SVE? If you want the SVE characters to be different ethnicities, then install Diverse SVE, but if you like the original faces for the SVE characters, then just install Seasonal Outfits for SVE 😄 Neither of those mods affect the vanilla characters though, so you'll want them installed in addition to DSV or SCA

Haha, fair 😆 Although I don't think there's much in SDV modding that'll glitch out really bad - the worst you'll get really is the json shuffle with JA items, where they get mixed up so you can get stuff like spaghetti jam or whatever. For portrait & sprite clashes, they just cancel each other out and you're left with the vanilla art
its just weird that DSV says its not compatible with SVO but DSVE says it optionally requires SVEO
hey all - just started playing again… checked the pins out and searched and couldn’t find anything. is it possible to use mods in multiplayer? if so, which ones are worth it?
That's just because they're set up and coded differently.
- SVO adds seasonal outfits to the vanilla characters
- DSV makes ethnicity & other representation changes to the vanilla characters and also adds seasonal outfits
These two clash because they're both editing the vanilla characters to do the same thing (add seasonal outfits, which is also why DSV is also incompatible with SCA) and they're too big to be made compatible with each other. Also the majority of the outfits were made by the DSV team, so they were DSV's assets originally before we shared them with SVO.
However, - SOforSVE adds seasonal outfits to the SVE characters
- DSV makes ethnicity changes and also includes the seasonal outfits if SOforSVE is installed
These two don't clash because they're coded differently and the majority of the outfits were created by SOforSVE's author Poltergeister, so I coded DSVE to only use the SOforSVE outfits if that mod was installed so that Poltergeister wasn't losing downloads because of my mod 😄

Nah, the TMX file is for the shop portraits, so like it says, if you want to use the edits for Isaac, Alesia, or Claire, you'll need to download the TMX files too

I didn't know you could change shop portraits with TMXL 
There's instructions on the mod page too 🙂 But basically you need to copy the DSVE TMX files into the appropriate folder in SVE and let them overwrite, since there isn't a way for CP to target TMX files from another mod

I closed some other 32-bit programs and was able to load into day 7, but still had errors at 4:30. I am just trying to figure out what was different between your game and mine. I created a new farm and had the same error happen.
But apparently, you used the same mods as me and were able to make it past. Did you use a time-skip mod or anything? I just slept and went AFK until 4:30. All I think is that maybe I ran out of memory again, but the log doesn't say that when the error happens. I can't think of any other differences besides that. I might just try taking out half my mods, testing it, and if that works, putting another half in.

Got a solution for you: it's caused by the mod "Shane and Alex", which adds the anchovy sandwich (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5280). The author has a note in the comments saying that they accidentally gave the sandwich recipe the same item number as golden coconuts

I'm not sure if it's been fixed or not in the latest version, but it looks like you can probably just delete the MFM and JA folders and you'll still have the event and dialogue without any trouble
Still broken apparently, i thought i'd removed the whole thing but it looks like it's still in a file besides the MFM and JA which i'd already deleted.
Wish there was an item Id index for mods, i'd try editing the content file if changing it to an unused item id would work
there shouldn't be any need to manually specify IDs for JA items.

we ended the game already that's why he disconnected but before that, the game keeps on showing my desktop as if I clicked the windows button while in game. But doesn't disconnect to host and doesn't exit the game completely. But I noticed that the spacecore message is popping each time this happens

So I dowloaded a few mods from SMAPI and now when I play stardew valley (The modded version from SMAPI)it turns my cotrols into console controls like when I press w,a,s,d I move my cursor in the invintory and more. This also happens when I play normal. Keep in mind this never used to happen before I downloaded the mods.

Not a good idea with how content patcher mods work I don't think. and it would make updating a real pain in the ass even if you could
@still parrot I'm not sure. My best guess would be that you downloaded the console version of one of the mods. Anyone will tell you the next thing to do is to remove the mods and see if it still happens. If that fixes it, then add the mods back a few at a time to try and narrow down what mod it is.

Don't move or rename folders without a REALLY good reason. Things may rely on it, and updating them in the future will be hellish.
If you aren't using an existing save file, you could reorder by just putting numbers at the start of the folder names to group them @sick cave But if you're already playing a game it'll fuck things up probably
"I want my mod folder to look neat" is not a really good reason.
even then I think some things will argue with having a number put in front of them, but most should be fine. Not much different to adding z's to the front of a new mod to make sure it loads in last

Wait, are you not supposed to move folders around? Because I have all my mods in folders based on categories, so anything with animals or crops goes in one, cosmetics in another, custom NPCs in another, etc etc, and nothing has broken because of it. If anything, out of three people, I'm the only one not having major issues ( We all got my mods list, but they decided to remove the category folders and leave everything loose and messy, they get issues all the time but I rarely do xD )

As long as the mods themselves are in the mods folder, you can subfolder under those and it should be fine. Just don't move assets out of the mod folder they came in, and don't mess with base game files

helo, so i've deleted and redownloaded all my mods and i'm still fixing things up (downloading required mods i missed etc.) but the main issue i have here is that the refugee npc mod requires advanced location loader, but mod compatibility says to replace ALL with TMXL. refugee npc refuses to work unless ALL is installed. so is it possible for me to edit the refugee mod to make it use tmxl instead of all? how would i go about doing that?

Hey there! First time dropping in here and I could really use some mod help. I've been running into an issue where certain cutscenes trigger but then get stuck before any dialogue occurs and my farmer is left staring at whatever npc she was supposed to interact with. can anyone help me fix stuttering in Stardew Valley with 43 mods?
I did test with the mandalorian mod removed, and it still happened, but later in the day. It seemed that Walk to the desert and Zuzu were also causing problems, so I took them out

when I do the high priority thing and set affinity thing for vanilla that pretty much fixes stuttering except when someone is joining my game+

I saw 'y540' and thought it was your SDV progress before I realized it was a part number 
well first off, Stardew isn't the most optimized game with mods and you can still get long loading times and frame stuttering even with good specs

@naive juniper do you mean that your farmer gets stuck in a wall or something? if so, you can use the no-clip mode mod so it can go through obstacles
also it looks like you could remove custom farming redux since the only thing you have for it is some kind of example mod (producer framework mod is preferred over custom farming redux when possible)
My farmer is not stuck any objects. She walks forward a bit, but the dialogue never starts

what event was it? or is it multiple events. i guess you could skip it to get out of it that time at least

With SVE you have to choose whether you want to play on Grandpa's Farm or Immersive Farm 2 Remastered. You can't use both as they both change the default vanilla map.

umm do i need the [ppja] fresh meats for [ppja] artisan valley, also i'm not seeing the no meat option in [ppja] even more recipies, i don't feel comfortable playing w/ the meat plants or meat at all

hey, anyone know where these NPCs are from? they got separated from their mod folder and i don't recognise them, and smapi doesn't let them load since it's an "empty" folder

you gotta download those updates/change the manifests if it's a manifest error (open manifest.json and edit the version to match what it says it should be)

also, i've just spent today deleting all of my mods and reinstalling them (300+) and this error is STILL here 😭 does anyone know what i can do to fix it? it seems to be affecting More Rings and something to do with fishing, some recipes and some custom crops. basically everything is slightly wrong :///

okay gang so i just scrolled a bit further in my log and this straight up happens thousands of times, for so many mods (inc. all ppja mods which suuuucks) and i'm fairly certain that it's the reason my game closes every time i try to play it which makes me super sad so pls any advice would be loved and appreciated pls mwah

i know it has to do with some CF mod missing a file
well there's an error in console commands which probably doesn't help, which i believe is part of smapi? so delete smapi and reinstall with the latest version

if that's the case then the only thing i can suggest is (if you use nexus) going into mods -> download history and open all CF mods and reinstall them/check that you have all the required mods. not very helpful but it's the best i can offer 😦 i'm sorry man
it kept adding more until i eventually closed smapi, i think it would've gone on infinitely
if an error is repeating you can open the log file in a text editor, select from the end of the second repeating error all the way to the top, and copy it into the log parser window. That will truncate the repetitious errors and make your parsed log more managable.

You can also just select everything after the first couple errors, erase it, then save the file and parse normally to do the same thing.
If you remove CF and the corresponding packdo all your troubles go away?

If you add a . to the beginning of the folder name SMAPI will ignore it. If you use that function you don't actually have to delete anything.

depends on the mod. Most should be fine, but map replacers will be weird and require some extra steps

smapi isn't a loader, really. any loaders will still require it
moddrop, vortex, they're not recommended. they tend to mess up updating

Putting mods in your game, once you get SMAPI up and running, is extremely simple. You don't really need a mod loader
Just extract it and then toss it into the Mods folder SMAPI creates, boom, done
simple, but if you have a hundred mods as some people do, manual can be real tedious
I've got over 300, I always do it manually. It helps though that I don't usually wait a while between updating. It's letting everything get outdated that causes some annoyances with manual
yeah I uninstalled all 115 mods so that I could install the ones that were actually necessary

We have a big trouble in multiplay with ppj mods.
We are 3 players and we All installed the mods properly but our host has the problem when he pull from my springroses he gets sugar cane, or fish menüs and thymian sometimes.
And when I pulling from his springroses I getting proberty deeds......which is not for sale or trash.
But my host see Roses.......
some of them weren't even loading/ weren't needed most of the time

the best way is, one person choose the mods, zip them up and send them to everyone else, then start a new save and don't change the mods
Seems to have solved it, at least able to get until day 9. And it's actually working with the mandalorian mod, seems like from my testing that something was up with WTTDR and Zuzu
if you're getting the same NRE problem in warpCharacter with 3 different mods, you more likely have a problem with map loading
but if it's fixed it's fixed!
the wttdr author I'm sure would like to know if there's a bug in their mod

Okay....now we have a other host and we All three plant springroses, Roses and violets and two off us See all Roses and pulling Roses. I cant see the springroses from the last hostplayer and when I pulling the other Roses and violets I get razor trouts and proberty deed.
One Player have Problem to See my violets but I can See his.

When I played with the second host last week everything Was fine.
He cant See the Roses from the Green Player which was today our first host were the trouble starts
Green Player pulls Safran but there must be Roses...
Green Player see my violets between the Roses but Red cant.
The Safran are Roses by Red
But we All can pull our own plant Roses and violets and getting violets and Roses.

Its realley easy if you learn the know how. My first game I modded Was oblivion and I learn it many times on the hardest way.
I teached two players. One have no troubles but the second have many because he sometimes have problems to stay focuse.

the author did mention something about compatibility in her posts on the page but i havent experienced any issues yet, but then again i havent played in a while

sdv isn't designed to be run at over 60fps
was hella tedious but got it done
hi so i did an oopsie
and deleted quite a few mods
and at first i would click to go to my game and it would act like its loading then instantly take me back to the title screen with concernedapes logo
so then i went to my recycling bin and added a few back
and now my game is working again and loading in fine
but this message keeps popping up and im wondering what to do to fix it?
