if that's showing up, then you're getting a SMAPI log - most likely issue now is that you have either content packs but not the frameworks they need, or a bunch of frameworks but no content packs to make them Do Things

Yes, and Expanded Preconditions isn't buggy, usually it's some mod that uses it incorrectly that causes the bugs.

JSON Assets typically runs fine, just can cause lag if you have a ton of JA mods, and your modded items can get shuffled if you add another JA mod to an existing save.

So it's not that you need to avoid the mod, it's just some issues to be aware of, so if you install a new crop and suddenly your carnations have turned into Pickled Mushrooms Wine, that's why.

If you haven't had a JA mod before, you won't have any items to shuffle (and IME adding new fish hasn't caused much shuffling anyway)
there's barely pink fish before all I have is a shrimp lol
you can also avoid shuffling by only adding one JA mod at a time!

I'm having an issue with custom NPCs only paritially manifesting (as in their sprite is nowhere to be found even though the game registers them as existing/)

you should remove the file from Garden village that says "Changes to other files" just cos that's spamming your not able to load list. Won't solve the other issues though

and FWIW SVE is much more likely to be the cause of performance issues. Ridgeside uses existing frameworks so it runs quite well.

i mean SVE uses existing frameworks for almost everything, and i'm not sure the custom c# components would have a particular performance impact? SVE is more resource-intensive just on the framework parts i'm pretty sure though
I still have to find a way of fixing my current installment 
both SVE and RSV add a large quantity of maps, SVE adds a lot of trees to those maps, that might cause for longer loading times?

this occurred within days of me getting like 600+ berries in one day, thanks to all my expansion mods and time freezing. i posted about it in sve server as something fun, and shortly after flash nerfed berry bushes XD

if we switch them to load the patches via CP it might be better? Loading maps conidtionally through TMX is what caused the town map tile shuffle and broke pathing when used to add warps.
forage spawns in forest west just fine, but salmonberry/blackberry bushes no longer fruit in forest west
did you notice their absence soon after an update?

the other areas can get a lot of forage from various other mods too. i think in the current version of SVE the forage spawns in forest west have been fine

nope, intended update from a while ago. i remember posting about gettin 600+ berries in one day on the sve server, next sve update the forest west berry bushes were nerfed with note in changelog

let me see what happens when I boot it up in my game. But it might be a combination of your 300+ mods
neither, and that berry count was only with many expansions, time-freezing, and determination (seriously one berry season day took 2 irl hours to do if i wanted every berry).
not too worried about a balance concern... I go to Deep Woods if I want to pig out on forage (+ berries) it just made forest west seem kind of a wasteland while the rest of forest was popping.
its only a balance concern if you cheat and frankly, that gives you all manner of advantages anyway
Like I said, not much reason to go there & I do like to roam around when not otherwise occupied
if you have other mods that add spawns to vanilla areas it might need those forage spawns to feel more worth it. it's probably not difficult to do because most if not all mods use FTM to spawn the forage
okay so it loads fine in my game, sorry Hanna. So my theory only bears fruit if its clashing with something else as well

i'm not really sure what precisely the problem really is but
tl;dr, i uninstalled prismatic tools, installed radioactive tools and a lot of my tools were gone except my watering can which obviously got json'ed. i figured i'd just cjb item spawner myself iridium tools and tried throwing away my watering can into the water, forgetting that i can't do this
but when i tried and obviously failed, then i got stuck in menu
unable to switch tabs or to get out with the inventory button, escape, clicking x, etc.
strangely enough though, the radioactive tools don't appear in the cjb item spawner...
this only accounts for up to iridium
did having prismatic and then trying to switch to radioactive cause problems or what's going on here

anyway, trying the same thing of throwing the watering can away didn't reproduce the menu getting stuck problem, so that's probably not that problem at least
but it seems like the new items weren't added from radioactive tools

when I used the StardewModdingAPI.exe file, it crashed, and StardewValley just freezes

@dire fractalas far as i know on steam the game should be started with the StardewValley script that's in the game folder. smapi should replace that file when it's installed

People usually don't expect anything from raising goldfish. Just need to be pretty
I wish you could see the fish swimming around in the fish ponds. Like that mod that adds them to bodies of water around town and such.
they already do (you can see shadows)! And you can get Happy Fish Jump to make them jump out.
(I strongly recommend turning the sound off in the config though)

Goldfish excrete lots more waste than other species, and this can quickly pollute even a large tank. Ammonia levels from goldfish waste can build up quickly and cause your fish lots of problems β include disease and even death.

Turned me off from aquariums for some time
not to help that, despite me sternly warning my wife to NOT add more fish to the aquarium, she kept doing "ooooh it's so cute" and add more fish to the aquarium

especially giving me the best sustainable life, people putting fish in really tiny fish tanks
true. that's why I get angry whenever I came home and found out that my wife added new fishes without my approval.
I want my fishes to have a comfortable living area. Overcrowding = unhappy fish = disease-prone fish = suffering fish. And I don't want that on my conscience
hence why I finally decided to just give my aquarium away when we moved to a new house
My fishes knew me well that when I had to move them temporarily out the tank to clean the tank, I just need to lower the fish net into the water and they will swim into the net on their own.
They knew I cared for them and just want what's best for them. (And they definitely were looking forward to a clean, "fresh" tank afterwards)

About any mod that uses the machines in Artisan Valley will want it included, but to load them all would swamp your machine and really, what would be the point if you never use them

Could it be due to a conflict with another mod? I don't have anything specifically changing the Wizard, however...

Multiplayer issue, modded, where host crashed while saving when playing by herself ( With the farm opened but only her on ) , then it happened again when I was on as well. The only things we can think of is perhaps an issue with Immersive Farm and trying to move cabins around on it, as that's the only thing the days had in common. Is this the case, or is it caused by Adopt n Skin trying to load Marnie giving a pet on multiplayer like the errors are screaming about? It was a constant wall of errors when it crashed

Hi, i have a problem with game and mod. When i'm launching my game with SV.exe, steam show "actualy working" and after 5 sec, its turn off. I have similary problem with for example with Don't Starve Together. The second problem is when I'm running game by SMAPI, it show that:

I'm modding on mobile, so that means game version 1.4.5.151, and SMAPI 3.7.6.1, and usually only mods that were made/updated before December 20, 2020.
The save file I'm currently playing is on an expanded farm map that didn't seem to have any issues... until now. And I'm pretty far into the save.
The mod was created well after 1.5 was released
My greenhouse, though it appears to be present, is just an image of a greenhouse
I can walk through it, and can't enter it
This was caused because the way the greenhouse works was changed in 1.5.
What's your question?
Is there any way to fix the greenhouse and continue to use this map?
Fixing it would require modding knowledge because you'd essentially need to put it back as if it was 1.4 again

hey guys, idk if any of you remember my problems but mirgating to 64-bit worked like a charm! the game no longer drops down to 1 fps and i dont get the OutOfMemoryException exception HOWEVER i still have those "short laggs" when changing location and it only occurs on my farm for example, when entering my house, leaving it, entering a shed, just everything that has something to do with my farm, either entering it or exiting laggs the game but when i go to pelican town there are no laggs at all, same with other locations, just specifically my farm. important information, i play sve with grandpa's farm so that might have something to do with that

Can someone help me with Smapi? When I try to open the installer, nothing happens. I've tried to turn off my antivirus and firewall and it still won't load up the command prompt? I tried asking on reddit but didn't get an answer.

Is there an application control section of AVG? I tried to get tModLoader to run (Terraria mods) but Kaspersky didn't let it, so I had to do to an app control part to manually allow it.

if its just that, run the SMAPI installer again, it'll install consolec ommands automatically

SVE was throwing a load of errors in multiplayer, but only for us players, the host wasn't getting any. Walk through trellis also threw a few, we went ahead and removed it, but can anyone help determine what's wrong?
ah I saw that SVE error before
it's just an SVE error, I think it doesnt cause issues. Flash said it's fixed in SVE 1.13.7 (next update)
walkthroughtrellies has a stupid error in its code so it'll fail if you have HoeDirt that doesnt contain crops...

(I ask because I've got a bunch of NPCs not showing in the village that I know use the bus - Claire from SVE, Kim and Delores (each their own), I think Kenneth from RSV does for some reason...)
No idea, but I'd recommend testing it out my removing all the NPCs besides SVE, and then see if Claire shows up (be sure to test on a day she should be showing up). Don't save the game, obviously.
Then you can see if one of the other NPCs using the bus is messing it up.
(I'm curious if my freezing time broke it too...)
I freeze time a bunch, and that generally should not be a problem.
It's when you skip time that odd stuff can occur.
Ah. I did do that once or twice to jump to places being open.
So hopefully they show up tomorrow, and now I know better.
Yeah, I doubt it should cause a permanent problem, just probably messes up their schedule for that day if you skip the time that they would normally arrive.

So, I completely forgot that I have a mod installed to close the game after each day. It's a good mod, installed for multiple reasons. But when you forget, it's easy to panic and try to figure out what the hell broke...
To answer my own question, it looks like the medieval buildings mod could be very nice for a more druidy feel. Not perfect, but it's got things like a bird in place of a mailbox, and awesome nature statues instead of obelisks.

The one I use is One Day at a Time. And it's a combination of memory overflow issues (though likely unneeded with 64-bit) and a forced reminder to get up, stretch, handle things like dishes/trash, etc IRL.

Oh, yeah that would do it. I suggest installing the game normally through Steam/GOG (both support macOS too), then installing SMAPI using its installer. Then you can remotely clone your Mods folder fine.

So far, I haven't seen any. Not perfectly smooth, but less laggy than it was. It definitely loads and saves faster than it used to. With 550+ mods, it's still a long load time, but it didn't crash from memory errors either.

Generally, if you don't have crashes from out of memory, I wouldn't do it.
I'm just considering it because I got my first out-of-memory crash.
I migrated to 64 bits recently as well and where my game used to crash every second day from oom, now i can play for hours on end. So far i haven't noticed any mods not working, but i did get rid of childtonpc a few days before the migration due to it throwing up a red wall of errors
I think if I get a second out of memory crash, that will be the sign.
Oh, one Thing to Note: i get strong Screen tearing in both fullscreen and windowed borderless Mode. Just windowed resized to fit my Monitor is fine though. The Wiki Page does Talk about this anyway, Just something to be aware of

Well, the testing begins. No signs of any of the missing bus NPCs on day two either, and no messing with time. So something with the bus is broken...
(I am aware Claire doesn't show on Tuesdays for SVE, but Martin was missing instead.)
I can confirm this issue, as it's still happening in my game as well (although inconsistently). Isla will manifest with no errors, but her sprite will not exit her home and is nowhere to be found on the map. However, she does manifest fine as a spouse.
Personally I installed 64 bit before getting OOMs and then installed a few more large mods
basically preempting the OOM errors
I switched to 64 bit bcs of OOMs
Btw, what was the console command for time skipping?
I use the CJB Cheats mod for it, don't know if there's a console command.

So it would appear my bus is eating folks somehow. Started a new game, immediately just ran to bus stop and stood there. 3 of the 4 NPCs that weren't showing up have walked into the bus, there's no sign of them coming out, like the bus is a broken warp point or something.
Well, I'm not even sure where to start for this one....But just watched more NPCs that I saw in Ridgeside but who never showed up in Pelican Town even though I know they should disappear into the bus, and Claire hasn't exited it. I have to figure out what mod I have is modifying the buss and breaking its exit warp for NPCs...
it shouldnt even have an NPC-visible entrance warp
Well, don't know what changed it, but I watched at least 6 NPCs walk in and never walk out.

I can walk in the door, but then I stop. I'm starting with Downtown Zuzu, as my newest (to me) mod and one of the more recently updated ones. Then I'm trying to remove Cotton, as she actually modifies the bus stop
I figure it's a safe bet it isn't SVE, since it affects multiple SVE NPCs and probably already would have been caught.
Well, one NPC successfully on their normal path after disabling Downtown Zuzu. Waiting to see a few others, but it looks like Downtown Zuzu is somehow breaking NPC pathing for NPCs that have nothing to do with it.
Note to self: When testing schedules, set TimeSpeed to regular time frame....

Is anyone aware of a 1.5 working time skip mod for stardew? the only one i can find hasn't been updated since 2018 and does not work

i have that one, but i can't find any sort of time skip option aside from changing the current days time, i need a mod able to skip over months for what i'm doing on my current late game farm
um i hve the better junimos mod but it is not working
