yeah I think robin's recolor works okay when I'm changing the buildings colors, I was super confused I couldn't see the roof color in winter since it was covered in ice
so I had to wait for spring to change the roof hah
good news everyone, pathos pushed an alpha of the new versions of spacecore, json assets and theft of the winter star(tangentially related due to the tempus globes in this mod)to me, and winter crops outside of the farm now seem to work properly in 64 bit

You could send a not to the author of Coli's Hats asking if they will do an update, or let you port it into JA. A JA port would be pretty simple to do

Well.... try anyway, then If you give them full credit for the originals you could probly do it anyway... I am not experienced enough in taking over mods to say what is the correct etiquette on taking over someones abandonded mods, but I have seen mods on nexus that have been revamped and published withe the caveat that if the original author objected they would take them down.
However, if it's just for you, you don't need to step on anyones toes and just use it for your own enjoyment

You're on your own, the SMAPI Android installer is designed for the current official version of the game. There's no telling what nonsense may be packed into an ill gotten APK, not to mention the Android version is only like $5.

someone came in asking why smapi didnt work for them and it turned out they had a really outdated version of SMAPI from an unofficial and highly suspect mirror site

be careful to unzip the mods into separate files each, because they'll all have a content.json and other similarly named stuff so you wouldn't want files in different mods replacing one another
usually if you unzip them straight in it should be fine, but just in case check there's no content.json's lurking in the mods folder itself. Each mod should have it's own folder with a manifest and probably a content json inside

not 100% what the problem is but try getting fresh copies of RSV and SVE from nexus to start?
Remove these mods. The Custom NPC map locations system works differently now

hey guys, i have a question regarding using mods on split-screen local co-op, is it any different? because while playing with my gf when she enters a new location smapi console shows a lot of errors and suddenly after a few in game days the game drops down to 1 fps and smapi shows a lot of errors, i mean it is flooded with errors and it is like infinite loop of errors and we have to restart the game. if needed i will provide a screenshot or anything else needed later today
i've heard split screen breaks a bunch of mods, as does local co-op, dunno much beyond that

OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. also if you wanna show your smapi log rather than a screenshot try cutting down your log so it's a bit shorted in notepad and then uploading it

and i was thinking about switching to 64-bit version since deleting custom music broke my game, but i've heard that some people experienced performance issues when updating to 64-bit

the crops disappear, idk the specific mechanics of eating them
you mean, they'll disappear if there's no scarecrows?
so on a regular vanilla farm the crop will disappear and you'll see a crow pecking in it's place, which will then fly off when you get too close. But grampleton might not have crows since its not your main farm

if your log it says "boots" right before the errors start. Were any shoe items part of your new mods?
I believe shoe mods pptentially have had issues in the past.
if i were you then, depending on the types of mods I downloaded, I'd remove all the new mods and see if that stops the storagefurniture error. (You'll get some other warnings instead probably but I'd start there to see if those mods were part of the problem) If that works then I follow up by putting those mods back in and slowly removing one-by-one each mod until the storage errors stop and therefore figure out which mod is the culprit by process of elimination.
@dire fractal hey! sorry for the ping, but tried DMing you the mod but i think your setting for that is off
they're just hair, top, and bottom mods then recolors of some machines... i also changed the png file inside the xnbs of the farmer hair, accessories, and hats (i just used my own knowledge on this so i don't know if me doing that would trigger those errors T__T )

It's worth noting that "boots" are part of the farmer folder in the game files, so anything that edits the farmer might be one of the first I remove
Mine is a little lsggy, but I have 550 mods running. It's still smoother than the regular version though.

it's not difficult converting xnb mods to cp, and they're easier for us to give you support for and less likely to do any irreversible errors
it's chill. XNBs are just kinda old school. Like hotgluing rhinestones to your skin to make it look pretty

i know it's against the rules, but it's worth noting that piracy does have a bright side, that mainly being additional exposure. most people will buy the game eventually if they really like it, and they aren't really poor. i can also make some arguments about it not being in not quite the same vein as direct stealing, as you're technically not depriving them of anything, so long as they've met development costs... not that i'm saying to change the rules, but tbh i think more open mind about the subject would be fair. i see a lot of people being really aggressive about the issue and i don't think that's entirely fair

first, copy all mods to a save place.
next, uninstall the game using Steam.
then, completely delete the directory /Users/chloerobson/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley
finally, reinstall using Steam

Official update on SVE and Sundrop since it's come up again: Compatibility IS coming within the next few months.
We were previously incompatible due to some personal and professional reasons that I won't go into here. There was a lot of unnecessary drama. We're on professional terms right now and that's all that matters to me.
As of last month, we have opened talks with FlashShifter regarding compatibility between our two mods. This is purely for the benefit of the PLAYERS. They shouldn't get stuck in between a feud between modders. And they shouldn't have to choose between two great mods that shouldn't have any compatibility issues in the first place.
Flash has done the work on their end to make the compatibility patch happen. But we're waiting on our artists to finish a rather big task before we can launch compatibility on our end. It is coming, I promise. But please be patient, as we are a small team working on a giant DLC-sized mod. For now, the mods remain incompatible until we can get our patch finished.
I would also appreciate it if people stopped trying to cause drama with speculation and with screenshots of our previous stances from MONTHS ago. That ship has sailed, and these two teams have enough drama between them to go around. I'm in the pursuit of professional coexistence, that's all. Thank you for your help in that pursuit.

only existing items can be shuffled. Fixing the shuffle is usually done by throwing away all existing items π

just get ui info suite, then you can access the calendar anywhere and there will be a birthday icon under your date. why remember things when a computer can remind you

The general rule of thumb you can use is that most mods are compatible with each other unless they say otherwise in their description. The one most mods have to have specific compatibility for is SVE and that is usually mentioned in the description of most mods as being either compatible or incompatible. π

@subtle oasis OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. to stop this error from happening you need to migrate to 64-bit
yeah i know but i think that the problem might be also that some mods simply hate split-screen coop but i will try to migrate to 64-bit
it mainly occurs when my gf goes to a new location
also i think something is up with SVE in your log, but im not sure why its happening
otherwise it sometimes laggs for a second when we change location

when you have mods that change stuff OnLocationChange (visual mods that change outfit it rain/indoors often do that) it might lag for a bit
also some things that don't. I know wayback beta caused a lot of lag for me but i couldn't find any update on location in the content file
you mean mods that change players appeareance or npcs appearence? cause i only have seasonal outfits installed cause sve author recommended that
yeah seasonal outfits for example caused short lag when you change locations. you can remove it (put a . in front of the folder) and test if its better

Some things just have broken update keys, if you're sure you updated them, dont worry too much

BUT, your error is because you have duplicate mods, which is preventing SVE from loading, which breaks a bunch of other things that depend on it.
If you remove the duplicate custom NPC fixes and the duplicate copy of GMCM it should prooooobably fix the rest of the mod loading issues.
Sometimes Nexus doesn't like small changes and gets confused with the manifest.json or the modder forgets to update it, nothing you should do about that If you simply cannot ignore, you can try editing the manifests

SVE has a couple of mods inside it's zip which are normally separate mods: custom NPC fixes, and music

Yep, so if you remove the non-SVE version of custom fixes, that should (hopefully) fix it, as the rest of the errors look to be a cascade off of that preventing SVE from loading... Oh and it looks like you might also not have Mizu's Flowers which a couple of mods want?

so I'm using an adorable portrait mod but I really want the seasonal outfit on villagers mod but that also comes with portraits so uhhh I have to decide

you can also use Portraiture to mix and match. π

if you put the portraits in the portraiture mod it overwrites everything, including seasonal outfit portraits. So the Seasonal outfits will still be on the sprites and you can also use different portraits
i thought seasonal villager outifts was deleted though
i had to get an unoffical one from chucklefish as i accidentally deleted it
I could just get seasonal outfits and use the tone down npc sprites so they can match my shaders
there's a workaround by downloading diverse stardew and switching off the config that make them... diverse

Hello, we've still been having this issue (aside from the host) where on some days, nobody can enter the forest (or train station) otherwise the game gets stuck on a loading screen, it says it's just a game error but there are mods installed, do I post the log here or game-support?

Could someone simplify βexpandedβ and to why i should get it

just dont use sve and youre fine HAHAHAH (but i use sve and i get out of memory exceptions β¦. no lag tho)
Yeah
not really a βwhyβ, it just adds stuff to the game like most mods do. if youve already done a vanilla playthrough, then sve puts a new coat of paint on the game to make it engaging again (i suppose)
itβs an extremely expansive mod that adds to the vanilla-esque experience quite well

honestly the mod feels like it's an expansion pack to the original game and not a mod, it add about a dozen new characters and expands on existing characters, like it turns gunther, marlon and morris into fully fledged npcs and it makes the wizard a marriage candidate and the end game content is just insane, honestly it's just fucking great.

There has been some lag while i walk (walking speed 4-5). I guess its normal? Like the screen somewhat has shaking canβt explain it >_<
like none of the art feels jarring and nothing really feels too out of place?
i will probably never see all the content because thereβs so much of it but its nice to know theres stuff i can go back to and see

Yeah. Iβve seen some videos as well of DF that there was those fuzzy moments when he walks and have like some speed buffs or mod (not sure)
Martin is great but I really wish his later heart events ||had expanded on his search for his bio family instead of leaning into his weird crush on Claire||

Hahaha i guess its normal. Even without speed buffs or mod i still do get it sometimes while walking. Also raining weather does it more frequent.
you can try turning off animations in windows + turning off all background apps if ya want

unless the mod is explicitly just on your pc (like ui info suite for example) but bigger mods that change things like maps or whatever should be installed by everyone

that was the case pre 1.5, but afaik it's possible for farmhands to marry custom npcs now. farmhands have always been able to see custom NPCs but they previously would not appear at festivals

but also apparently ridgeside is in the top left corner now
isnt that where it shows people that are in an area not on the map?
theres a patch somewhere that patches NPC map locations to work with ridgeside
