debug ebi is sometimes a bit wonky, it doesnt always load characters correctly and doesnt change the time^^

@rare quest , I don't know how earlier talks went down, but what are the odds we can get some "how to mod with SVE" tips for the modding wiki? Not just NPC placements (though that would be amazing by itself), but things like how to put stuff in SVE shops?

Patching Joja shops was introduced ever since I decided to reduce Joja prices. iirc it was before Claire and Martin were developed, so it was a long time ago.
If anyone else contacts you about Joja shop edits meanwhile, it's not a great solution, but tell them the blackmarket welcomes them with open arms.

I came up with the idea, and Keychain sprited them (she does some spriting for SVE every once in a while. also designed every SVE fish haha)

Well, I'm glad that the Bus Locations and Anti Social NPCs was an easy fix! As for Kawaii Valley, are you using the version on Nexus? I looked in the posts tab and there seems to be an unofficial update there, which might be a good idea as it converts it to Producer Framework Mod. (Custom Farming Redux has been unmaintained for a while now.)

That's not correct. I have a custom farm that isn't one of the SVE ones and i still have grandpa's shed. You just get to it from the southern portion of the buss stop instead.

You can use Diverse Stardew Valley as an alternative ๐ It has the same seasonal & festival outfits plus all the features like mermaid pendants, pyjamas, swimwear, etc. and you don't have to use the diverse character designs if you set the characters to "vanilla" in the config

Nexus has a "download History" option to make it easy to re-find what you've downloaded in the past (you know, in case you're starting from scratch for any given reason). I can't find one on ModDrop.

You could also look through your browser history, if you don't wipe it regularly?

You can have colored veggies, they just can't regrow.
The same space is used for the color option and the regrowth stage option.

I think that's incompatible with Love of Cooking, but couldn't swear to it.
Compatible with any mod that adds SpaceCore custom skills (i.e. Love Of Cooking). Seems to be okay! ๐
Love of Cooke does have problems being nice with epanded fridge and expanded storage
baasically you have to go back to having the ingredients on your bod to do the cooking
I does look through the basic fridge space and your backpack... unless there has been major update, that's it

yes... minifridges do a smoke & mirrors shuffle that makes them impossible to find again if you make the mistake of "hiding" one

Yeah, you need to completely overwrite every single Wizard-related sprite & portrait in whichever seasonal mod you're using, RR, and SVE if you're using that too

(also I'm gonna do a little self-promo and let you know that DSV also has seasonal outfits and allows you to turn off edits for each characters specifically for cases like this where people want to use another character mod, without having to go through all the hassle of editing files ๐)

Ugh, that's bad practice. If you get an xnb extractor program, you can extract the png files

Nah, if you just drop it in as-is it'll probably just muck things up and get overridden by Slightly Cuter Aesthetic anyway (which is what I assume you're using?)
EasyXNB is a free, super easy extractor/repacker that I've used like forever & I recc it
well, content patcher can use xnbs just the same as pngs as far as i know

It can, but it's very incompatible with a lot of mods, particularly anything that needs to update throughout the day like seasonal mods, since those rely on being able to swap the pngs or jsons in and out
i don't know the context of the discussion really, but i don't think the files being either xnb or png would matter for that kind of incompatibility
Also a CP mod loading an entire xnb breaks compatibility for anyone who wants to use CP to edit just a small part of it

The context is that they're using a seasonal mod and wanting to replace the Wizard's sprites and portraits with another mod, so the easiest way to do that is via extracting the pngs from the xnb and replacing the seasonal pngs instead of having to try and delete code

it is a utility, not a mod
it really is one of the simplest programs you can get, but it does take a little bit of a different head space
word to the wise, XS automate and PFM automate seem to conflict with eachother. if you place down chests with expanded storage next to PFM machines, it starts lagging and gets worse the more machines you have connected to expanded storage-modified chests
i notified pathos about this, but it might be a matter that would need to be fixed by those mods' authors

yeah... you do things in a big way that might bring out problems I would never see
also yeah, without PFM automate, automate won't use any machines added by PFM mods
honestly @quiet umbra i only had a couple hundred PFM items connected, i have literally thousands of vanilla items using automate
but with just a few hundred PFM, it started lagging
significantly
it was "burst" lag, the game would freeze for 200-300ms and then resume like normal
as though it was lagging on every tick it was checking for updates to the machines

have you tried the same amount of automated PFM machines without expanded storage? PFMautomate was at least thought to cause lag with them relatively easily in comparison to automate using native machines

This is what mine looks like, although I took exnb out
after removing PFM automate, the lag stopped, after removing the chests connected to the PFM machines while it was active, the lag also stopped
i get a pretty strong stutter when the automation happens as well, i deal with it by setting the automation interval in automate's config to a high value
yeah, it's somewhere in the config.json, i don't remember the exact name of the setting. but it's once per second by default

You might also prefer XNBExtract - it doesn't require any specific folder location and it's very simple to use. You can get it here: https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/beginners-guide-to-xnb-node-and-graphics-editing.110976/
It's pretty much just drop your xnb in the Packed folder, run the Unpack batch file, and then grab your extracted files from the Unpacked folder (or in reverse if you're packing something)

Yeah, Haywrites does good stuff! The only one I'm not keen on is Linus's, and that's just because the two available are kind of too far in either direction. I normally smush them together so that I have "sad homeless guy" at low hearts and "happy in nature guy" at high hearts

Sometimes the game can load up but it's choppy and feels like it stops every 5 seconds for 2 seconds

You are trying to run it with not enough memory available
how many mods are you using?
Just the default recommended ones and a portrait mod
If the plain vanilla form of the game works fine, then you might be right at the border of what memory use your computer will give up in it's 32 bit form
when you load the mods in you run out

hmmm.... let me go look at how I handled the whole thing in detail... it's been a bit since I did it
alright... I put my sprite into the Vanilla folder under Wizard in Characters in DSV... then in the config.json file I put Vanilla as my choice
the sprites were all labeled the same as the original sprites... i.e. Wizard_Fall_1.png etc
he shows up in the relationships menu as himself

@rare quest just wanted to let you know.. this is a random thing I get with SVE.. sometimes I can do the shed quest, complete it, and it's great. Other times I finish gathering stuff, go to the chest to put stuff in, and it won't give me the "quest" to actually imput it. Once in a while I finish it, go in the next day, and it's back to ruins. If either of the two happen, I can't complete Clint's mountain quest either
@rare quest To add onto this, I've had the quest completed for like an in-game year and mine reverted when I went in today. Thankfully, my chests are apparently still there, just not physically reachable.
side note.. in my rewrites, Clint's gonna deal with his depression a little
