Whole new city and people
There is Ridgeside, Expanded, Boarding House, Deep Woods, Aquarium, Lunna, Museum Expansion, Garden Valley, Walk to the Desert, East Scarpe, and Mermaid Island that I use all together

I'm trying to get SDV 64bit running but keep getting errors with PyTK and TMXL Map Toolkit on startup, is anyone else having this problem? (and they are up to date)

I'd recommend moving the depot folder elsewhere. If you ever redownload it for whatever reason and forget to move it, it'll completely delete itself beforehand, thus erasing everything inside that folder

I personally don't recommend using Vortex at all for SV, can mess up files and all that. Definitely wouldn't recommend using it for 64 either 
vortex does something funny with the -x64 executable that ends up in the folder anyway even though it's installing smapi 3.10.1 came out explicitely to fix that.

ahh really?? rikai taught me how to manage dependencies w/ vortex. you drag the filetree icon of the mod you want to load before/after a mod, to the other mod icon

Check if you are using a mod that modifies the houses file, like a seasonal buildings mod, or HD Sprites. If you're using a buildings mod that is overriding IF2R's "blanking" of the greenhouse, you can open [CP] Immersive Farm 2 Remastered/manifest.json in a text editor and add an optional dependency on that mod. For example, adding a dependency on Elle's Seasonal Buildings to make sure IF2R goes last:

](This shouldn't actually be necessary for Elle's buildings, just an example.) You can find the UniqueID of the mod you want to load after by opening its manifest.json in its own mod folder, and checking the UniqueID field there.

CORRECTION Manual install works fine now and no errors. I had to redownload the mods manually. If thought I could copy the mods unzipped by vortex manually but that doesn't work either. Vortex does something to them, you have to redownload manually from nexus and unzip straight in the mods folder.

in this community, if modders disappear for a long time and their mods break with a game or SMAPI update, the community will often make unofficial updates to make the mods usable again. that's what that site is for

With Adopt 'n' Skin you just name the skin after the animal
first you would unpack the vanilla cat or dog file,
then you would edit it in your program of choice and put it in the adopt and skin folder
name it cat_1 or dog_1, whichever pet it will be replacing

if you like any coop rabbit skins, you could probably size them up to fit the cat or dog spritesheet, just make sure all the bunny animations line up with the cat and dog ones and the png is the same size as cat/dog

a spritesheet is an image the game uses
so the cat and dog have their own sets of images, which are the animations the cat or dog does

yeah, you're gonna have to size them up so they match up with the sizes of the cat or dog sprites though

i don't remember offhand what the size is for cat/dog but generally most things in SDV are made up of "tiles" that are 16x16 pixels
some things like animals don't fit into that exactly, but they'll still be cut up into boxes of all the same size that each frame of the cat or dog fits inside

got a bit of an issue here with the tempus globes theft of the winter star adds... they only sprinkle a 3*3 area, and i can only plant crops in those areas. however, they're gone the next day
also, i'm doing it on grampleton if it matters. no idea if you need to do it at the farm for it to work or what, guess that's worth testing
wintercrops have been bugged with 64 bit

also the ppja/pfm stuff i've got adds a couple winter crops, so i can do that at least
though, the 3*3 area also might be a separate bug

i'm kind of used to things being a bit buggy playing with enough mods tbh
but the additional content is kind of worth it as long as nothing game breaking happens
or crashing
still pretty playable, but i've got some weird misplaced textures, a couple of json shuffled items, and i've run into a few bugs regarding quests and cutscenes, and occasionally weirdness with crops like this as well
weird thing is, the json shuffled items didn't get shuffled until i started playing my old modded save i used in 1.4 that i updated everything for for 1.5.4
but i haven't really added many mods, maybe 2 or 3
i got rid of a few things that were being problematic, but they were all things that shouldn't have effected items, with one possible exception being teh's fishing overhaul mod
which seems to have broken for 1.5.4, so i can't really use it anymore
i'm not actually certain if it added or removed anything, though
i'd thought that mod was purely systematic

I have noticed that all the basic game machines don't shuffle... likc cheese, mayo etc
space's mods are now maintained by pathos. Feel free to file a bug report on the github. 🙂
But if you use Json Assets, you are using modded items, right?
I think basic machines are specially checked by JA when it attempts to mitigate shuffle
But modded in machines JA doesn’t know to check

Bascially, Json creates an index when it loads by assigning a number to every modded item you have. Different types of items get put in different lists, so that's why machines might shuffle or objects might shuffle.
If you add new items, Json makes its new list but the numbers are now different from what they were before (my best guess is the lists are alphabetized)
And the description mix-ups I believe come fromt he game remembering what that item had before it got mixed; can't swear to it.
Basically, when mods add or remove items, it causes the item IDs of remaining items to get reordered according to some algorithm, therefore any json assets items you had previously may now be a different ID and appear as different items. This does not apply to vanilla items as their IDs are in the base game and static

JA2 was going to rectify that, but with the creators making an exodus, that is currently on ice until someone knowledgeable enough and with enough free time to do it chooses to do so. :/

If no one pops up who knows SVE and you don't want to try a mod like destroyable bushes, I know SVE has both a discord and a reddit.
Right, but that array is only ever as long as it needs to be (much like a wizard) because it recreates it each time. If it had to preserve index spots, it could be very long indeed.
Just needs to use it during ID assignment instead of trying to fix all the ids after the fact
That thinking is how the shuffle happened in the first place. 🙂
Really? I think the only issue with preserving ids is that many objects need multiple for the different sprites they use
And if that range changes then everything gets messed up
Think of someone like Jay, with 900 mods. Now think about how many times they have to add or remove or update those mods.

How does one type a "shift + L" hotkey into a config json. Everything I've tried has failed

it put me off wanting to update my mods to play 1.5.4 for a while lmao
it pretty much took me 12 hours straight to update, configure all my mods and remove/fix problems
it's still a work in progress, but it's mostly sorted now
Mine are all put into folder categories as well so there's added minutes just looking for the mod 🤣
some problems don't show their faces for a while, so then you've gotta figure out and fix it later on

a streamlined updating process by using SMAPI might ease that burden a little bit tbh, if it's reasonably possible

So I'm trying to change the keybindings for ToDew and Better Junimos. Better Junimos might be too old to support this, but the to dew manifest says 3.9
so ToDew should be able to detect capital letters 
But in the config it says L and activates with l

It's a hit or miss, from what I've heard. Some people like it, it causes problems for other people.
well, i have a bad history with the old nexus mod manager, i know that much
it would crash a lot and there would be other instabilities, and it was slow
at the very least, using it to update your mods for you would be helpful
after that, getting an idea of what you wanna grab from smapi.io/mods is all you need to do
would at the least help make it a much easier process to get updated, if nothing else
not sure if vortex is better then the old nexus mod manager or not, but if it was at least better it might be doable
in my experience generally things that try to be global like that e.g. retroarch in best case scenarios are a mixed bag
they've got some good about them and some bad
but they also have a tendency to take a long time to actually become decent software too

hmm... I found it & it is indeed Zoom Levels, no matter what it says in re Dpad, controllers or whatever you can use the regular keyboard for it
oem just means the original equipment... all the keys are oem really
u can use period & comma to change zoom in and out and then hold shift and use same keys to zoom UI in and out.
HOWever... all the mechanics are locked up in dll files & you just get to fiddle with their config file
I had disabled the mod because I am chronically absentminded and I got the game stuck too many times trying to do something when I had the screem custom zoomed

f keys are nice for extra mod functions, because there are 12 of them and they're easy to bind. they're literally just F1 to F12
My F keys get a lot of use so I try to reserve them for mods I have in every run

A lot of newer keyboards (especially on laptops) use the F keys for other functions so you have to hold down fn to actually use the F functions.
(press fn to pay respects)
Don't get me started on trying to use fn+printscreen while holding the mouse in a certain position for the screenshot....

I just use the game prtsc for Stardew
although it sticks the pic in the Users file instead of Pictures
well... i gues it really isn't prnt screen since it takes a photo of entire farm... but the resolution is really good
There's also a mod that takes a screenshot at a configurable time range. So like, once a day or a week, and you can change the file location as well.
I remember seeing that, but for me it was kind of overkill, since I just take a pic for a particular purpose

My screenshots are usually either for Nexus or posting here.
you can also set a hotkey with this mod (Daily Screenshot). I set a rule for a hotkey screenshot with it in case the weekly shot happens to be on a rainy day. So there's options

you will run into probs if you try to use one of their custom farm maps on an existing save. It is also doable, but guaranteed to give odd results
What's neat is that you should still get their Grandpa's Shed if you are using the Standard Farm choice even without thier custom farms.
Also unless your own custom map overlaps where they usually put Granpa's Shed
There's a LOT of story stuff that's really best to experience on a new save.
Im rocking the beach layout and am really happy with my save so far. Once I started modding and found sve, I wanted to add it without starting a completely new save

Ridgeside and East Scarp more add additional content, rather than changing the preexisting world.
And most of Ridgeside's events are heart events, so you won't get slammed with events.

has anyone run into the issue where their stamina doesn't deplete, when they don't have infinite stamina enabled in cjb? NVM I figured it out. With level extender my axe proficiency is so high it doesn't use any stamina

more or less, I just wanted to put the caviar but after I saw the category I wanted to put it whole and from this I only accept the pickles, I tried to put the caviar and the jelly for their id and it did not work for me, I did the same with the name and neither, I always followed the instructions in the mod post
Hmmm, what are you putting the items into? For example, the mod doesn't work with casks that were placed before you made the changes. Are you putting the items in casks that you had already placed?

My cousin and I were planning on streaming together, so I sent her my mods list and we went through and removed some. Can anyone help identify the errors and why mods are failing? As far as I know, we didn't remove anything related to any of the mods that failed
Someone in the posts on Custom Cask Mod reported question marks appearing when they pasted their code over, though those question marks don't show up in the JSON itself. Apparently it can be due to odd spacing, not entirely sure.

Ah, yep, during the moving of mods on her end, it got messed up badly because my game is perfectly fine aside from three errors. One being a dupe mod, the other requiring the mod that got skipped from the dupe, and then one mod we actually needed for another

Oooh, that could explain it! Lemme link you to a manifest guide. Basically, you'll want to create a manifest.json (You can do that with a program as simple as Notepad, just make sure you're saving it as a JSON. https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Modder_Guide/APIs/Manifest Create a folder called [CCM] My Mod or whatever you want to name your mod, and put the manifest, casksData and agersData in that folder, and stick it in the mods folder.
I've ironed out all of the errors from my personal game, with more mods than that! They just got.. messed up somehow during the moving process

You can use the Content Patcher template for your manifest, but switch out the "Pathoschild.ContentPatcher" bit and replace it with "DIGUS.CustomCaskMod".
I feel like Google Drive did something funky when I tried uploading my mods folder to it.. Going to try using something else to upload the fixed version on

Probably because custom npcs are the perosbal works of theory creator and it feels a bit weird adding stuff to them (as opposed to vanilla which are obv also personal but we kinda have 'permission'to?)

is there a mod for "Encumbrance"? so that if player carries too much items / too heavy items they'll be "encumbered" and steadily lose stamina until they ditch their inventories under the 'encumbered limit'

bonus points if player can 'train' their strength, so as they gets higher and higher "strength" level, their 'encumbered limit' also gets higher
