I think you need characters that are not necessarily 'nice'. ie: Pierre needs to be a greedy capitalist. I had an interesting idea for a portrait mod setup but now that Ridgeside is getting a portrait mod literally modeled after talkohlooeys' portraits, I kinda abandoned it lol
The idea was based on the area of the map they were normally from, they'd use portraits from a different mod
For example: Sandy, the Bouncer, and Mister Qi would use Shie's Portraits, people in Pelican Town would use talkohlooeys', etc

Hi... I have a problem. Currently, when my friend loads up Stardew Valley (we play modded co-op and use the same mods), he keeps getting a black screen. At the bottom left corner, however, he can see that I'm doing things like watching a movie or donated an item to the museum. He can also type in the chat dialogue box. the only problem I had with mods on 64 bit was customcritters & lovedlabels, it said the DLLs of those couldn't be loaded. Strobe made customcritters to 64 bit and that worked then

It seems to be an inconsistent error though, as I thought I had fixed our setups and then everything worked fine, but when I restarted the day to actually play the same error popped up when the client tried to load cindersap

The errors I get vary from null pointers to "string can't have zero length"

You could also alternatively use Remote Fridge Storage, which lets you place chests in your house and have them act the same as fridges.
