I fixed the duplicate files mentioned in this log and I'm going to remove my sewer mod until it's compatible with Zuzu city, but the real issue I'm having is the Json assets one.

Hello! I'm having an error when it comes to Love of Cooking at the moment and I'm not sure how to fix it... my game crashes when I try to cook
aaaaaand I take it back. Not gonna mod. just gonna keep open spaces for future furniture because apparently using furniture anywhere will require me to delete moded furniture then placing them back all over again when switching to 1.5
That's why I get new mods when I start a new save and that's it (except for certaine xceptions)

My new NPC idea is a group of POC laborers (probably latino) who you meet one night and learn have been hauling all your produce for a pittance.
And that one of them got sick and ended up disability because of the lack of sanitation or regulations surrounding your animal products.
But that's okay, disability means they don't have to haul produce at 3am anymore!

Theres dialogue in Immersive shane and also Jasper where they actually say "will you stay with me a while" and I feel terrible just running away to chop trees or whatever.
(You could disable it for the kids until you are 4 hearts with them and 6 hearts with their parents or something. It's probably no less creepy than giving them gifts and running away).

If by NPC improvement you mean dialog / event stuff for vanilla NPCs, I like Mal's Sebastian Expansion (on nexus), Ranch Expansion (on nexus) and Immersive Characters - Shane (on ModDrop).
If NPC improvement extends to outfits, I recommend Seasonal Villager Outfits (on nexus) or Diverse Stardew (on ModDrop). These mods give them clothes that are appropriate for the weather in the different seasons. Diverse Stardew on top of that has options to add diversity, but if you just wanted the outfits, Diverse Stardew also has an option for that.

Technically I think any crop can be modded to give any item in the game rather easily, with whatever growth duration you want. How it could be explained rationally is another matter.

And nexus dont make the rules what mods are allowed, like nexus don't will tell you "hey i dislike this mod (except you break rules with it)"

you can continue with your current save, but installing SVE will change maps around a lot. You'll need to follow the instructions here https://github.com/FlashShifter/StardewValleyExpanded/wiki/Install-guide#prepare-an-existing-save
yes, but make sure you download them manually instead of via vortex or nexus mod manager. Read the instructions per mod, lots of mods have dependencies

i really need help. I downloaded these mods and yes i have SMAPI downloaded. i unzipped all of them and put them all into a folder. and then i went to steam, files, browse files, content, and i put the folder in there. but they're still not working? I have a mac btw
Did you install mono?
Loading SMAPI automatically puts a mod folder into the Stardew Valley. Move the folders into that.

If Smapi was installed properly you should have a folder in your game folder called "Mods" do you see that in your finder window?
That's where the mods should have been moved too :)!
Your unzipped mods should go into that Mods folder.

I play a lot of phone and in comparison, the zooming out is really different. The phone can zoom out for at least a quarter of the farm
tbh I've never looked, Ive always just turned on the native zoom buttons from the settings and used those.

Yea, Ive noticed that between mobile and desktop too, but the UI was all rebuilt from mobile.
It's really good, being able to see the entire floor of a cave instead of having to go through loads of rocks to see what's behind it

It can take a while, particularly if you have a lot of errors. If the errors repeat in your logs you can copy and paste from your log to smapi.io/log and just select everything including the first few repeating errors.

and so i deleted those, and then deleted a few smallish mods or ones i didnt really care about or for things that i didnt even do ingame (first time downloading mods so i kinda went kid in a candy store mode) and ill try it again now

i think i got both of those from moddrop instead of nexus because the guides had them linked there instead

GMCM and no, it won't completely disable a mod, it can only change things exposed to it by the author of the mod you're working on. Typically you have control over anything that is also in the config.json.

SVE is, as long as the mods are made compatible, the farms you download on their page will not be for other standard farm changing ones

You have multiple copies of Custom NPC Fixes.
It's also usually a good idea to read your log too! It gives a lot of good information for troubleshooting.

but i added some new mods and removed some since then so i had a new one made
i deleted the customnpcfixes and custom npc exclusions that came with sve
Those mods should be overwriting if you drag and drop them into the mods directory... are you using zipped folders?

Hello! I'm having an error when it comes to Love of Cooking at the moment and I'm not sure how to fix it... my game crashes when I try to cook

Get the one for CF if you have it, the other is a CP mod and will overwrite your vanilla furniture.

Hey guys can someone please help me 🤗 - I only just discovered you can download mods, so tried to Download Stardew Valley Expanded, however when I load up the game and start a new save on the Standard map, it looks exactly the same 😦 I'm pretty sure I downloaded all of the files correctly;

And I can see you're using Vortex, we don't recommend using it for SV mods, it can make them all funky

So I checked the Nexus page to see if there were any known incompatibilities with other cooking mods (thinking that might be the issue) and it looks like a couple other people have reported this bug as well. So it's not just you. (Ping @true dock in case you need another SMAPI log to troubleshoot)

the warning about the beach is bc i'm using sve with extended minecarts
mm you could try on nexus or troubleshoot here
sve's beach map is weird so it isn't compatible with EM so they had to make it so when SVE was detected that the minecart on the beach was disabled
that's my understanding from what the creator of extended minecarts said anyway

Theres a big issue with Spacecore and PyTk that basically can crash the game after an hour or two due to exxcessive use of memory

I personally use the Content Patcher/PyTK version of the portrait mod I'm using, rather than the Portraiture version, because for some reason Portraiture wasn't applying the new portraits during the opening cutscene(the one where you meet Robin and Lewis) so I was worried it was gonna do the same for other cutscenes

Start going through your logs, look at the red lines, at the end if there is something the failed mod needs it will (should) tell you
how about you install those first, and then launch the game to get a new log so it's easier to see what still needs to be done @eternal wind

imo it's a bit difficult with that many mods that failed to load because the missing mods are not listed alphabetically

It's always a good idea to install only a few mods at a time then run your game and check your logs to see if you missed anything. It helps avoid having pages of red text to sort through.

Also, as you're getting mods from the nexus always always always always always always look at the requirements and read the rest of the description for potential conflicts, saves lots of log parsing later.

Lol, its good, you're here, you're learning, and it could be soo much worse, like if we were talking about fixing Skyrim mods. Everybody starts somewhere, I may be a little trolly but my end goal is to get you up and running so you can enjoy all the wonderful content the rest of us do 
And to add any more info in case it's important, I named the folder I kept Portraits in "Vanilla" in Portraiture's designated folder
It might be because you have to switch which portraits are in use (vanilla or hi-res) and you can't until after the cutscene. That's the only thing I can think of.

I'm not sure if they do. The mod I use completely removes your spouse from even asking about kids. So you don't lost any friendship/love when you refuse.

thanks for the error log! i've been looking at this yesterday, and it comes down to there being cooking recipes with multiple of the same ingredient (eg. 1 flour, 1 egg, 1 flour), which can also be caused by missing JA Ingredients, since they default to -1 if JA can't find the item by name
the first time this came up it was on me since some mod conflicts meant that some recipes wre ending up with -1 1 -1 1 203 1 as a recipe, which then threw this error
