But really, any of those mods for hats, shirts, listed under Content Patcher may be the culprit. I don't know for sure, but I'd eyeball any of them that edit clothing.

They're just random compatibility. If you happen to have that NPC, they will accept a gift in a way that makes sense. You don't have to download any of them.

In fact, they're being streamlined down in the update because such a huge number of NPC compatibility has slowed the update rollout (along with actually working again), but the NPCs currently listed on the Wiki will remain compatible: mostly SVE, a handful of East Scarpe folks, and Garden Village.

I'm looking at the TV mod real quick to see if I can see if it's the issue. So far I don't see any problems with it? To me it looks like problem is that the furniture tilesheet is loading the front part of the beds but not the back part, but I haven't found the culprit yet.

Do you know what the stray content.json in your mods folder is? Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to figure this out. You might need someone with more expertise than me. I thought it was just something messing with the furniture tilesheet, but it sounds like whatever is going on is more complicated. When you pick it up, does the game still call the item a bed or does it say it's a dresser or something else?

It says it's a bed, which means it's pulling the right object info, but then it's acting like a dresser when you activate it? That's ... definitely weird. And those covers didn't look like the exotic bed covers, either. I think that indicates a SMAPI mod is messing with things rather than a CP mod, but I don't know much about non-CP mods, sorry. =(

Having read all the dialog files, I can promise there's almost nothing tied to time of day.

There are a few lines based on location, like the mayor working on his planters and Sam and Shane at Joja, but they are few and far between.

they posted an error before that indicates data corruption, apparently most likely because of a hardware problem. i suggested to check the disk repairing utility in case it helps, but also mentioned that if the disk is the problem they are likely going to need to replace it

@cedar beacon is the error still the same?
