Update on this: it was the building recolor / texture pack I was using. Even though it was fully updated, for some reason I had 2 greenhouses lololol brought in another and it works great (and looks great too). Medieval buildings, imo, should be considered broken

I am not experiencing the same issue. You might want to work with the mod author (Gwen, who is active in this server) to see if there may be a bug you're experiencing. ๐

It might conflict with something else, but when I removed that mod it was fine ... removed all retexture mods, no issue - put it back in one at a time and that one specifically caused the problem. Are you using the version on nexus?
Yeah, that's what's weird o-o Medieval buildings caused the issue, but using an older one was the fix. It might just be conflicting with something else but I removed everything and added one at a time and it was the only one that caused issues

yeah, a few times, and theres always a place in my heart for the base game. I've just been having so much fun making a playing with other peoples mods in this game! The modding comunity is fantastic and so many of them are both enjoyable without taking away from the core game.

@spring ether Hey, not sure if you figured out your issues with my buildings mod yesterday, but if not there are images in the References folder in my mod that show what colours buildings are with each palette and theme. The only one you can specifically change in the config is the farmhouse

Hi Elle, thanks for the info. I managed to figure it out, thanks to Jay who told me to install the generic config mod which was a lot easier to change rather than the config file on notepad! Also thank you for your mods, I love them so much.

And the only note I have about the generic menu config mod is that (at least in older versions I was told about) it seems to break CP overlays until you restart the game, so if you change something and my buildings are missing seasonal assets that's why
making two versions of the same mod is so tiring

@keen crow I didn't know that I had so much to do. I was focused on finishing the files from the mod version to 1.4, but I had to move everything to 1.5 as well and add the old recipes / make removals. Tomorrow I hope to finish. I believe the Boarding House mod is pretty self-contained. The only place it really would potentially have a conflict is if something modifies the top left corner of the bus map and potentially the the json shuffle.
It shouldn't mess up the minecart then?

well, a big chunk of your mods are definitely not updated to their latest versions. some are prevented from loading because you have multiple copies of them installed, the smapi log tells you the install locations of them in the first red error messages. not sure about the later error, could be json assets shuffle affecting boots maybe. or removed JA boots while wearing them i guess. or something else entirely @gray sapphire

I'm playing with Artisan Valley, and machine products don't display their name correctly, they display things like "Dehydrator.DriedFruit" or "DryingRack.DriedFlower" instead. It's not a huge deal, everything aside from that seems to work correctly, but it's still kind of weird.

You've got a conflict between QualityArtisanProducts.artisanvalley and ppja.artisanvalleyPFM
Oh, pff, I hadn't even thought about that... Hm, okay, looking at the comments for the mod -- https://www.moddrop.com/stardew-valley/mods/726947-quality-artisan-products-for-artisan-valley/comments -- seems like PFM recently changed the way translations were implemented, and the mod hasn't been updated for it, so it causes an issue after the mod overrides the original AV items. But you can apparently fix it by copying the i18n folder from the AV folder, so that should solve things.

Use the Generic Mod Config Interface
xD Now you can go into Mods folder and find the mod there. Go inside the mod and there should be a file called config.json you can open it with notepad. Changing the options = changing them in that file
It's a mod you cand wnload that makes configuring things easy.

But you can only pick one kind of chicken per chicken. That is, all your Brown Chickens will look the same, all your White Cows will look the same, etc.

All of the prices are calculated to be in line with the vanilla game economy. Some of the produce items are thousands of dollars, but the trees that make them cost as much as the golden clock and aren't unlocked until late game.
The shops are locked behind natural game barriers, so things become gradually available as you progress in the game and then increase friendship with each vendor.
I will say there are a few major updates coming in the next few weeks, so it might be worth waiting to install it right now.
@solemn iron thanks! i ended up not installing it yet actually, because i have a fairly small farm map currently. i saw the coming update notices on the description, but not sure if i want to install it later in the run because of the whole json assets shuffle thing. though i guess it's possible to avoid if i make your mod load last?
It's about to get a lot bigger, but things like a tree pack, a liquor production pack, and a beer pack will be made available for folks who don't want the huge ridiculousness I made.

A JSON assets shuffle is a worry for folks who have the mod installed, and then I make a huge change.

yeah, the bundles can have the items but they are not so easy to balance properly necessarily
and different players of course want different level of difficulty

The items in the community center would have to be very meticulously planned, because two of the vendors are unavailable until after the community center is completed, and one is in the desert.

I was planning on having it released a few days ago, but it's looking like next Friday. I'm hoping by June the mod will have all assets added and I can focus on things like the community center and request board, but my bar is reopening in the next week so my modding availability will decrease.

From my mod I would avoid the legendary and divine crops, because most folks probably won't get them until Y3 or Y4. But I have so many specialty assets to choose from. I could do an "entertainment pack" with things like specialty beer, popcorn and something else. I have fabrics, cereals, colored fabrics and paints. Much of that will be slimmed down for the lighter release though, and the light release will remove the functionality where difficult to brew wines become weapons in the volcano forge.
But right now I'm adding a fifth vendor and reshuffling shop assets. The final mod will have 100 trees, so most people will avoid the complete final mod.
I'm sorry it's Monday morning so I'm too lazy to scroll back up.

i was thinking of using the current version and making a bundle mod of them for myself for this run. so if i wanted to have difficult stuff in the end, i would use legendary and divine crops. that would give a good incentive to actually acquire them
It's fully functional as is, but because I am planning such major asset increases there is a risk of in game ID shifts, so I have it marked as a beta.

Ah I see, you are free to personally modify the mod to work for your personal use, as long as you don't release anything.
The plants are (until the next update) coded strangely to work around production pathways I needed, so if you take it as it and deconstruct it, you'll need to change the fruits into fruits and so on.
don't worry, i'm not planning to release anything, and actually not even modifying the mod, just using the items from the mod in the bundle (with content patcher)

Top left is an agave for tequila and mezcal production. There's going to be a PPJA compatible version of the main mod and a PPJA non-compatible after the next update, due to both of our mods having redundant artisan goods, but my "Agave Cactus" tree itself is compatible with the PPJA Blue Agave Crop.
Like I have a "Juniper Shrub" Tree that is compatible with their "Juniper Berries" crop, but if you have PPJA it makes Genever instead of Gin.

typically, red text means that the mod was skipped when booting up, either because you dont have the right mods to load it, or the folder is empty!

Hey I have an issue where the new billboard outside of Lewis' house is covered by a bush, and this only happens with SVE. Is there any way to fix it?
It's not so much something that needs to be 'fixed' so much as something that's inherent to the way json assets works. The fix is to note everything that's important before you do a JA update... and if things get scrambled, replace the things with the correct things using something like CBJ Item Spawner. ๐

If you remember what they are, you can replace them with the new 'versions' in CJB Item Spawner. But no, otherwise they stuck if you've already saved

The easiest way to use it is to go to your friends page and click on the NPC you are trying to figure out the heart event for. It hides a lot of information to prevent spoilers, but it should give you a good idea of what you need to do to trigger the event at least (and also get you the event id)

64-bit stardew. The windows version of stardew is 32-bit by default, and therefore has a max cap of ram it can allocate to it's process. ๐

Actually, I believe you'll find that PyTK is doing that because of an interaction with another mod, specifically newer versions of SpaceCore. I found similar and reverting SpaceCore from 1.5.5 to 1.5.2 corrected the issue for me.

Nah, something in updates after 1.5.2 of spacecore causes issues, from what i understand, and then there's also uhh https://github.com/spacechase0/SpaceCore_SDV/issues/9
At the end of the day, i just know downgrading spacecore from 1.5.5 > 1.5.2 resolved 99.999% of my lag issues

This is because of fix for a "conflict" between how SpaceCore and PyTK work. The alternative would have the same lag, just when you are booting up the game instead. (I think, anyways. I'll talk to Platonymous and see if we can figure out an alternate fix.
i just to the mod out of the folder then reinstalled it but now it says i have to update it when i just did that this morning
Then the version number is outdated
