oh.. I mean.. I just copied the file once steam was done creating it, pasted it into a folder to the side, and when I need to re vanilla it, just delete the one in stardew folder, replace it with the vanilla one, and redo the smapi and 64 build installer

Okay I think i figured out the problem? I have to download the regular NPCModLocations folder, and then overwrite it with the Old NPCModLocations file for SVE, and that seemed to work for a new farm -- i'm going to test it with my friend's farm later but if it doesn't work it's fine ๐ thanks for your help too @keen crow and @unreal stratus

hi, i apologize for butting in on the conversation
my friend's recently been trying to get into modding, he's using smapi and has everything installed correctly there, the smapi window appears on launch, but the game doesn't recognize any mods as being in the folder? like, when he launches the game, no errors appear on smapi but none of the mods are loading in, as if they weren't there at all. we've looked for any posts online with people having similar problems but none describe the same situation. we'd appreciate any advice and can give more info if needed!!

Hey there, would anyone here have experience with mod load order? I've had mods for a while now but just downloaded a bunch of new ones for a new playthrough, one of which is a dialogue expansion for a character. It conflicts with other mods I have installed (no errors in SMAPI though) and it's description on NexusMods says that if it's made to be the last mod to load, it'll work. How would I go about changing it so it's the last one to load? I've never done anything with the order of how mods are loaded before and I don't want to screw anything up since everything is working fine as-is right now. Any help is appreciated! ^^
Mods are loaded in alphabetic order so just rename the folder some like zz folder name

So i also had to recall every mod... Nexus actually ended up saving my butt on that one though, because it has a mod download history.

@polar pagoda It uses Event Repeater to re-trigger when the conditions are met. It'll be re-written when I come off hiatus hopefully, but that's how it was originally designed
So I found a mod on Nexus called [JA] [PFM] Composter, but I can not buy the recipe at all. I can inject the Composter though.
I remember the first time I was trying out this mod I found the recipe in the Recipe Shop, but after purchase it never showed up in my crafting menu.

I'm using a mod that adds recipes through it, and the event to send the mail has triggered, the mail icon is showing, but when I click the mailbox nothing happens visually, though I DO get the recipe. I imagine there's a typo.... but I can't for the life of me see it and the other mail I"m recieving at the same time (from teh same mod) comes through absolutely fine.

I'm supposed to update ZoomLevel from 1.5.0. to 1.5.1 from GitHub and I already downloaded the zip file, unzipped it at my mods folder, and when I did a final check on my log, it still says my ZoomLevel needs to be updated.

Hello pals, I recently joined the server and I wanted to ask what do you think are the wackiest/most interesting mods to use on Stardew Valley. I played the game two years ago but had to stop because of reasons and now I want play the game and incorporate the creativity of mod developers into it. I have never downloaded a mod for STV but I am pretty excited to see what they have to offer. What mods would you recommend?

Simply putting NPC's through seed makers to turn them into crops! Also eating them and throwing them into the water and other fun ideas! Mods like this really open up a lot of new possibilities for the game while we wait for the 1.4 update. Stardew Valley gameplay with my commentary as always!

I installed mono a few days ago but it doesn't appear to be working
So I'm gonna update my system, purge mono packages and try a clean install of mono to see if that fixes any errors that may have gone unnoticed

I was on the latest version of NPCML though
You need to fully delete the old version of NPC Map Locations and download it again.
Old versions have maps in the maps folder and it no longer needs those because the mods handle it on their own

I recently bumped into the following issue;
I am using (or trying to) The "Machine Augmentors" Mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5600?tab=description) but after I go to sleep it simple RESETS the augmentors on my machines (I tried it on casks and can't even use it on (the plural of) Crystallium (sorry I'm not a native english speaker :D)

I can't help with the mod thing, but I think the most likely plural of Crystalarium would be Crystalariums. English is not very consistent in how it wants to pluralize Latin-ended words (or consistent with much in general) ๐

Normally I'd suggest https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2269 and using the command world_reset bushes, but I think the latest version of that mod has an issue (so I'd recommend either using the version below 2.5.4 or wait for the next update)

Confused by the question. You can usually add mods to an existing save, but always read the mod's description beforehand (as some require a new save).
