I got an issue; small, but an issue non the less.
I've downloaded only a handful of mods yesterday, got everything going well except one thing.
When starting the game using Steam I am not getting the mods. I've copied the link and paste it to the advance launch options in steam. The game loads, but the mods are not there. Can someone stir me in the right direction. Here's the link I use: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley-applaunch 413150 --mods-path "Mods (multiplayer)"

Vortex profiles are weird. It doesn't clear the mod directory really... So it can cause issues. I tend to stick to one profile and just fully remove mods. ๐

Don't extract mods zip files into the mods folder
Open the zip and move the folder out and place it into the mods folder ๐

at first the issue i was ahving was the custom music from stardew expanded and ridgeside village

i was uploading to a googgle drive bc it was multiplayer then my game went bad so i redownloaded the mods from my drive
Anyway, redownload Ridgeside, and open all the folders with those loooong names, and take the folders inside out and place those into the mods folder and delete the long name ones
Also this one Everyones Datable - Ridgeside Village 3.9.5 will break stuff when you marry someone who isn't regularly marriable

Okay so... decide which png you want to use. Take note of the name. Go into the content file and replace whatver dogs in there with the name of the one you copied
so adopt n skin has dog_1 - i can take her skins and add like dog_2, dog_3 etc?

I'm just curious how reshades/portraits/sprites and the such work with SVE (For example, is "Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic/ +SVE"the only portrait mod that is fully updated and works with SVE? Also, if I have more than one mod for grasses (more grass/flowery grass) or those compatible or does it use the flowers?

Uhm... okay. Mods need to be compatible with SVE to work with it since it changes so much. Seasonal works and is up to date. If you want matching grab the vanilla one too. More Glass lets you.. have more grass. So they should all work together by adding more

in the mod's content.json there is a "Format" line somewhere, according to the log it should be at 1.7.0 or higher. might work if you change it @sage kernel
Yeah was hoping to learn how to tweak it myself if it's just a format update. Something about the new content patcher not liking how the file was originally "nested". Maybe I'll just role CP back to an older version. Thanks! ๐

I've tested it with quite a few greenhouses and all but one outdated one worked. I always recommend making a backup of your save when you first test it (just in case).

very simple mod request: something that allows me to go to the desert at any time
@proud badger I checked a full week and yes, only Sunday is messed up. Correct sprite, but wrong vendor. I think what threw me off is the brother wears green in the portrait but his sprite is wearing red. And the sister wears red in the portrait but her sprite has green on.

FlashShifter.StardewValleyExpandedALL is the [TMX] folder of SVE. Which indicates you likely did not extract SVE correctly if folders are missing. I'd go ahead and delete the SVE folder and re-extract it to make sure everything is installed.

is anyone else having constant "systemoutofmemory" errors? I used to get this error a lot when I had around 800 mods... I've since removed nearly 300... and for a long time everything was fine, but now that I have updated Smapi and other mods, my save game cannot load without systemoutofmemory, I made a new save but I am still getting the error randomly when playing, it's never at a certain point just randomly out of memory, and it didn't do this for the longest time. I haven't added any big mods or any mods really, and all of my mods are up to date and functional/compatible, I have no errors in smapi other than the system out of memory which either crashes the game or makes it so laggy it is unplayable
my pc is a beast and has well over 30gb of ram, so that's not the issue

This has become more common since the 1.5 update. You may be able to use the 64 bit version of stardew+smapi, but it's experimental and still under development and a small number of mods (mostly older ones) are currently incompatible. See the pinned posts in the #making-mods-general if you're interested in trying it out though.
with winrar you'll CONSTANTLY have popups

json files are in every mod lol
did you miss a mod or forgot to install a mod
look for the names of those files inside of starblue and delete them, it's a quick fix but it will give you a harmless error (cannot find file) if you really dont want to edit the content file
if it's like images overriding each other, just delete one and you're fine

@dire fractal it means it's missing a dependency, smapi says what the dependency is on the log (json assets requires expanded preconditions utility and spacecore)
You'll need to edit one of the mods, specifically you're looking to edit the content.json. The easiest way to do it is probably to remove the relevant bits from starblue...
So you'd look for these in the starblue content.json and remove their sections:
Load Maps/MenuTiles
Load LooseSprites/font_bold
Load Minigames/TitleButtons
And it would then load them from the other mod without issue.

I got the 64bit stardew working and thought I'd report some mods that don't seem to load up, also the game is SUPER low fps and I'm not entirely sure why

I'm not seeing any issues? Unless you're referring to the "Patched game code" and "No update keys" sections? Those are just warnings, not errors. ๐
No Update Keys means the mod didn't include a certain piece of information that allows it to automatically check for updates. Patched game code... If you're not seeing issues then it's safe to ignore that warning, as it says in it's section. "Changed save serializer" is kind of unavoidable if you wish to use those mods or the ones that depend on them. ๐

this is probably a stupid question but i downloaded a seasonal outfits mod that removes the noses on sprites. i cant figure out how to configure it so that the noses come back, and its set to "true" which removes the noses. i just want my noses back man ๐ญ

i think all that line does was check if you clicked on the cat in your current location, but if the current location is null (so in loading screens, main menu, ..) it can occasionally hit that and spit out an error

I mean it all says farmer, so if it can't preload something, it will just stop
so if there's something wrong with the files, steams verify will fix that.. it's just to check actual game files, not your mods

I've been working a lot on trying to fix fonts for this UI. The old mods used .xnb file replacements, and this mod still does. The way fonts are colored in SDV, however, is coded in C#, which means that there will be discoloration of the current set up. I also cannot find any way to reliably create .xnb replacements for the other languages so when someone toggles their language for the game, they'll just get a bunch of messed up letters. There is always some kind of error in unpacking or repacking the files. The best fix would be to add a C#, potentially Harmony, mod to Vintage Interface Multipack to change the colors.

saw on the mod page that some people have this issue as well, but there isn't any information on how to fix it.. in the game, when i try to change the flooring in (i think the living room?? the room between kitchen and bedroom) this error occurs and the flooring just won't change
it started after i've swapped the interior mods (industrial to modern gothic, but i don't think that is the root of an issue) and added new flooring&wallpapers using CFW mod
i did not include the log right now bc some phrases there are in russian, i translated it in the text above, and everything else on the log seems to be fine, it's just the seed bag mod, but if it is necessary i'll add the log too

It's just like a zip but with a different name. You'll need winrar or 7zip or another program to extract it.

I've played it just fine all week and now today I keep getting this error log message whenever I try to open my save file.
Save anywhere is always iffy so I would steer clear tbh
I didn't have any issues until this morning though. Usually the Save Anywhere issues have come up right after installing it. Also the smapi log says Save Anywhere isn't throwing any issues
Usually the game or SMAPI throws the errors
