Just install smapi from the windows.bat again. Then was it's finished there will be a green sentance. Copy that, as it's what you need to paste into steam :)

Not really. The mod author would need to code in all the new npcs, their relations/families
you can always ask the author if they will consider adding the mods compatibility

Strange Machines as a Brazier Furnace that does the same as well. I don't think there's any for oils though

Not many at all, I believe. Most have got uploaded either this year or the very end of last year. The only one I can think of is Persia, who I might also be removing in my newest save 
Persia is from 2017 and Muadhnait is from the beginning of 2020. I think they are my oldest ones

i'm trying to download mods and my smapi console is writing a lot of red text very fast, i'm assuming something is wrong, anyone know what i should do?

As much as I want to help, unfortunately, no thanks to a certain 24man raid from another game, I am exhausted beyond measure.
looking at the file it wants 4 of category -75, which is vegetables i guess

something is causing some serious frame drops tho which is just painful
randomly just drops to 5 frames a second
saw some other modders managed to make machines and recipe's able to be unlocked based on skill level. can Nomad please consider doing this for Artisan Valley?
it already does. not every machine unlocks that way though (nor is there a reason to make it that way in my opinion)
on a new game i shouldnt be able to make all of these machines at zero skill level
ah right, on that i agree that the default recipes could have some conditions
The reason why a lot weren't behind skill locks was because you would softlock your game. This issue was resolved in 1.5 but some are still behind skill unlocks or letters.
There's A LOT of machines in AV. Putting more machines behind skill unlocks would also require me to change other things so you wouldn't see X item or purchase X recipe until after the machine is unlocked. Players get confused when they see an item they can't make and report it as a bug even though they need to progress further.

you cant just simply pick a sprite without it also picking one of its portraits and it wont let you use hi-res till he gets permission to even try his fix

You'll have to figure that out yourself by looking at the dates, and comparing them to when 1.4 was out

@shell jackal I do believe it says on the mod's page using the command remove_bush will prevent bushes from regrowing.
Yah. I just wasn't sure what to set the config to, since I'm not sure about using the command. I found it though and got the bush out of the way of the big board. So all is good. I just don't know where that bush came from....
Okay, I'm downloading Longevity and its contents are "scattered". Should I make one neat Longevity folder or install them as is?
if the mod components go in the Mods folder then you can group them together for convenience without problems

Longevity's page says it removed all support for it...

Okay this is weird, a handful of PFM machines have stopped working but not all of them
All the artisan valley machines work but the electric furnace and iridium seed maker are kaput
i found out the iridium seed maker does not work with cbj cheat menu

Electric furnace is its own mod and the seed maker is from Upgraded Seed Makers

PPJA, Ancient Crops, Farmer to Florist, Bonster's Crops, Eemie's Crops, Fantasy Crops, Gemstone Fruits, Korea Blossom, Kynseed Crops, Lumisteria Flowers and Crops, Mizu's Flowers, Pumpkin Days Hybrid Crops, Spoopy Valley, SSaturn's Tropical Farm, Starbound Valley.... And I think that's all the crop mods I have. xD I may have missed one or two.

That mod has cooking recipes that may mess stuff up. But I think you can delete the crops stuff and it will be okay

Yah, just delete the crop and fruit trees folders and I think you will be okay. Not 100% sure though. You can just leave the seeds in and simply ignore them.

well, the megapack might require older versions of ja, so i'd stick with the more up to date content packs for the up to date framework
I do get a giggle seeing what is essentially bacon growing on a tree.
i also like the meat plants, and the jerky tree is a staple in my greenhouse XD i've only seen dislike of the meat plants in the last couple of days

depends on the reasoning for going vegan: reduce animal suffering? then yes. reduce meat consumption? then no.
environmental impact? depends on the impact of growing the plants

So I don't know what's causing this, but something is wrong with Json Assets. It keeps getting scrambled and I have no clue why. None of my products are correct, and I've trashed them at least eight times by now. There's no errors in SMAPI either.

did you install, uninstall, re-arrange (rename) or update JA mods? that can cause it. it's always temporary though, newly spawned items should be correct (not sure how it works with planted stuff, maybe something that doesn't die can produce the wrong item indefinitely)
I'm gonna call it a day for now with SV, I've been at it for nearly 8 hours. I think my PC is just screaming "GET OFF THE DANG GAME!" Lmfao
@errant hornet It's not that it's a known issue, it's the fact it keeps happening. I've started my game eight different times already and my products keep getting messed up and I have no clue why.

how do you mean, you start a new game and the items are correct initially, but you get the problem some time later on the same save?
Not even that, when I start my current save the first time they still get scrambled.

It happened when I tried a new save too. So it's not a matter of what save I use.

Also, the mods that show for updates are already updated. I believe the mod authors did not put that into their manifests however.
updating JA mods can make it happen though, in case a mod removes or adds objects
in the update
That's also understandable, but it's been almost a week since I updated and they keep scrambling.
how specifically, like what is getting scrambled and how are you getting the items?
They're coming from my processes, such as my chest with Cowpeas inside. Those cowpeas then go into an iridium keg, iridium preserves jar, an alembic, a grinder, a drying rack, and a dryer using Automate. When I trash the bad items, it works again. But if I stop the game or reload the save later, every product from before turns into another bad item.
Weird question - I've wondered what ConcernedApe has thought about the SVE mod for a while. It adds a lot of stuff to the game, and I just wondered if he officially supports that kind of effort or is weary of it
how long does the process take? i guess there could be already messed up items in circulation for a while
Usually the keg ones take a few days, but the others happen within hours. Also I want to note that these items could be being caused by Mizu's Flowers, since the author of that mod has not updated it in a long while and there's quite a few mods that depend on it.
But that's purely speculation, especially since my honeysuckles never produce the proper products.
well, the sve author was given the base game 1.5 update in advance to make sure sve was updated for it on day 1, so...

But my research indicates there was a mod for this - but it is no longer supported by its developer
and I don't see any cloud server options for stardew valley

hello all, I'm having trouble with two of my mods. I have a difficult bundle one that doesn't seem to be working, and diverse stardew valley that isn't showing their festive outfits.

Did you install the bundle mod on an existing save? Most bundle mods don't work on an existing save in 1.5 and only work on new saves, unless they have a code component
I'm not sure about the DSV issue, but they have a Discord server you can ask for help in! It's linked in the readme

Diverse Stardew Valley isn't loading because it keeps asking to use a 'Location' variable that Content Patcher says does not exist. I'm still looking into it, but this is why it isn't loading. I'm still looking for the community bundles issue.

Just FYI (still looking for the bundle issue) I'd also suggest going through your own SMAPI log that you posted and looking at all of the red lines-- you have a lot of mods that are either missing dependencies, or ones that are outdated or failing to load. Removing these mods, or getting their dependencies, should be done to make sure you don't run into some more bugs.
I'm afraid they'll end up giving you some strife eventually if left in.

Anyone else having issues with Stardew valley Expanded? A lot of trees, bushes and other objects are out of place and I think its causing a bunch of lag for me
Your log shows that there's a ton of errors with your save file regarding the mod 'Artisan Valley'. Do you have that installed, or did you remove it from your game?
ContentPatcher is saying the Artisan Valley files are either missing or failing to load for some reason.
It may be conflicting with a different recipes/crops/etc mod, but I'm not sure at this time
Also, I can't find any specific reason why your Community Center bundles mod may not be working. It has no errors in the SMAPI log, nor does it say that it ignored it/failed to load it. This may mean it's simply conflicting with another mod of yours, but I really cannot tell which
the DSV error is basically a typo, the team's aware and it'll be fixed in the next version

@royal arrow No, I updated all of the mods that I needed to, and this has been happening ever since along with an unexplainable lag that occurs every third step of my character. I know about Json scrambles, but I also know those should only occur once. My issue is that it occurs every time I start my game, and I don't know which mod has been causing this.

@tall island What you do is just extract the files from the mod zip you download and place them into the Mods folder located in your Program Files x86/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Mods folder.

Probably start with something basic to mae sure you've got everything working.
download zip files ,doubleclick on them and drag and drop the content into your modfolder
Or however you extract files; I do mine via right-click.
But that's the whole mod installation process once you have SMAPI! Put contents of zip/rar/whatever in the mods folder. Viola!

You would have to undo the part where you have to change the file path that point to StardewModding.API.
Also, I wanted to note I finally figured out what's causing my lagging issue. PPJA - More Recipes - A Collection of Recipes needs to be updated, since it's causing a lot of lag and other conflicts with recipes.
This would also explain why I keep getting Json scrambles every time I load my save.
Technically you can leave smapi installed and just run the normal stardew exe as well, iirc. π

Are you manually installing your mods or using a mod manager, like Vortex? Because we recommend manually installing mods. Thankfully, Stardew modding is super easy
