No matter what all content XNB or otherwise will go through SMAPI's content pipeline
XNB just forces the original version to be overwritten, which makes it harder to patch changes if other mods can't reliably depend on the same original version
I noticed Alex's portraits were odd as well.
One didn't show up and the one when he's in his room lifting weights didn't show the correct one
I supposed if you somehow merged every mod into a single XNB, and got rid of all the dynamic aspects of CP it would be as fast as vanilla

On days that seem abnormal you can use patch summary to see which changes are taking effect at that moment

You can also copy another json and replace everything in there with what you need
There's a couple different ways to access that setting, but the easiest is through the ribbon menu in the file explorer

Hi modders, my girlfriend and I have been playing with the Enhanced edition on PC, splitscreen, and one day when our characters woke up (after a crash of the game), the map was all screwed up. Our crops are there but everything... moved? Here's a screenshot. Any help would be appreciated.
I managed to restore a save from 7 days before, and it's still messed up.
is there a way to disable certain mods I have?

I think one of the crash may have been caused by placing the Silo? Before placing it, we discovered that we could move it around the map and see places we couldn't see before.

... i really suggest that you either choose one of them...
so iโd uninstall grandpaโs? and see what happens

How can I find out why something is loading, but not being applied? And there's no error?
usually itโs being overwritten by another mod. the fool proof way to make sure it loads last is to add a dependency. the caveman (re: my) way of doing it would be to toss a z_ in front of the folder name
Not sure if that would work in this case. Or it might already be that way. Basically it's Aquatic Plants and Beachside Plants. They have CPA versions of the crops. But only ONE of the crops is loading the animated version. The others aren't. Not sure if it the mod or CPA.

It allows you to use paddy crops away from water by acting as a water source.
I would think that as long as you can plant it and have it grow. The animations should work regardless

If you right-click on the game title in your library, off to the left side, it has Properties way at the bottom
you could try removing the paddy crops mod and see if it fixes the issue. I would start a new game and maybe spawn the seeds that way your not hurting your current save while testing. That or back up your save while testing just in case

some for looks are not important and each can have there own, but some other mods are picky and require everyone to have the mod and the same versions

one of the recipe mod does not have batter
and a couple other warnings, they are likely from a PFM and its because it has machine recipes that are missing items... probably a missing ppja pack, but those can be ignored and PFM will just not allow those machines to make those items
that warning is a JA warning and again its likely looking for another mod to provide batter
i would guess that the cooking recipe that needs it likely hasn't been added to the game

I know this isn't like, a total solution, but with the matching interior mod rustic interiors, there are no double color doors. Just until people figure it out.

The world is generated in like 3 layers
front, background, buildings
buildings layer is things you run into
front layer is things you can walk behind
keep in mind, when you walk behind something it - goes translucent
That might be the remaining layer from the "front"

No. Doors are different.
Doors are added to the map and in the code for the map. Three times. Once with the translucent sprite then with tile properly (door warp Marnie) then in the map properties as well.
If you only have one and not the others they wont work.

Its so odd that when they are patch transparent there is only a shadow of the door but when patched with an image the mismatch two tone happens

well that depends on the mod, if it's cosmetic then it most likely will work but if it is gameplay changing or adding it might not work, if you do try make sure to make backups of your save files

I donโt really know, are you on mobile or PC?
Ridgeside should be safe to remove, if you check out your log there is a warning message with a list of mods that change the save serialiser you definitely shouldn't remove. But any mods not there should be relatively safe. You'll want to remove any items added by the mod from your inventories to be safest and you may experience a little JSON shuffling (items becoming other possibly broken items)

As for the settings I'm pretty sure the different scale settings were added in 1.5 so android wouldn't have it the same way. (1.5 is what broke the things I was talking about)

Here's my most recent log, it has a lot of errors at the end where I was testing the new Save Anywhere 1.5 version and it didn't work but this has been happening with horses for a long time before now, like at least a week and a half
I don't see anything about the horses... but there are some errors which worry me in there. What's wrong with your Way Back PT?
Also: Two content packs want to load the 'Maps\Greenhouse' asset (Immersive Farm 2 Remastered and Serene Greenhouse). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility. You can fix this error by setting "Disable_IF2R_Greenhouse" to true in the IF2 config.
I figured out the doors issue. Now to make a simple mod to correct the issue in other mods
Maps/townInterior has 3 shadow doors, one for each of the 3 doors in cursors. the doors in the townInteriors need to be patched away
Also you seem to be running out of memory somewhere. I'd go into all of your Custom Music packs (noted by CM) content files and setting all the "preload"s to false.
I think the Way Back PT errors are a part of the SystemOutOfMemory Exception
Oh so just setting preload to false will disable all the custom music, i dont have to get rid of anything?
It won't disable the music. it will stop them from always being loaded into memory.

If not you should just be able to replace Amahra's bathouse files with the hot springs one

When I go to the bathhouse it always defaults to the hot spring (since it comes first alphabetically ig) so i don't really have a problem with that error since that's the one I want anyway

I am searching for a mod, that displays (real-time) how many and what machines are working in the current place, where I am (f.e. inside my cellar or on the farm) so I can check if everything is working and I didn't forgot any... I can't tell HOW MANY TIMES just "one Keg" didn't fill and it annoys me incredibly... is there any mod that can do this thing for me?

It makes select npcs start dating and what not, complete with events.
The corner - Adds a new custom location, Athanaeri Corner, where some pairings can move in (currently only Penny and Sam).
If you plan on having Sam and Penny together than you need the corner.
When you download the main file you decide on the pairings you want and delete the rest.
But I don't see a config file :/

Sauvignon in Stardew 1.9.0 because its EntryDll value 'SauvignoninStardew.dll' doesn't match the actual file capitalization 'SauvignonInStardew.dll'. The capitalization must match for crossplatform compatibility.

to get SVE to work on a phone you will need to find a pre 1.5 version

I tried it and there was some huge bugs, like you can't enter the adventurer's guild, and some bugs with events, when you join the spirits event you can't move and if you do, it will ask you if you want to leave the event

I did everything right, and it didn't work properly because android is one update behind
Not to mention that i had to go through A LOT to get the compatible version

I have a question about Longevity mod
I know it reduces overall farming profits, but does it balance crop prices in any way, or is everything just lowered (keeping the same crops optimal and the same crops at a loss)

For the farmhouse Iโm using yellogs walls and floors and lovely kitchen. But I also have rustic interiors
I was having the original issue with flower valley though too when I was using that
I'll figure out which one is getting in the way and fix the mod I'll get back to you in 5 min or so
If anything it would be rustic interiors instead of walls and floors but i'll find out for sure. Walls and floors though doesn't use the files in question where Rustic Interiors would.
@lyric gale I just combined those 3 mods into a game by themselves and my mod wasn't required. So maybe the mods have been updated to not have the issue
I personally us Rustic Country Interiors and havn't had the issue myself

My test folder I was just using
I was just looking a a couple logs full of issues and the one common mod was Quick Sell even though it wasn't giving the errors. Anyone else having issues with that Mod?
I also just looked at the tilesheet used by Rustic. Instead of removing the trouble areas as my mod does. That tilesheet has the ghost doors in it still, But they have been edited to match the doors used by that mod so the issue is unseen
Maps/townInterior has 3 faded ghost doors in it. One for each of the 3 doors in the cursors tilesheet. My mod removes those ghost doors from the tilesheet while Rustic and a couple other that have fixed the issue have fixed the ghost doors themselves on the tilesheets
Some of the older mods only patch the cursors and don't deal with the townInterior file properly
does anyone know if the npc map mod works with sve? What i read on nexus seems like it should, but my map doesn't have any markers on it but my own

@willow herald not sure if they are related but you have 1 Content Patcher Animations error and a bunch of NPC Map Locations errors. There is a chance they are conflict. What happens if you remove CPA besides breaking mods that need it?

Just because I have my game installed in 4 different folders doent make me a pirate. You can put the game anywhere you choose
GOG has no DRM and can be moved from pc to pc without issue if you own the game
and you can dupe and rename the game folder without issue also
Exactly why we ask, but usually pirated copies are something like; SDV.1.5.www.piratedwebsite
I know we aren't suppose to help pirates but be mindful of your criteria for saying they are is all

I haven't gotten any NPC errors since downloading that mod alongside it, so might be why I don't get those errors 
I saw you can set different mod folders in the same game folder via the shortcut, but I haven't been able to make it work. So I have my fully modded game folder, my test folder, and a not so modded game. And 1.4 still for testing that stuff also

im recopying my mods over after i did the file verify as it broke two mods lol
write down whats in your chest and inventory.. maybe back up your save
If resetting broke mods that means they were XNBs and we really don't recommend them as they break saves ๐

i last played a few days ago with other mods, but this is my first time trying to get sve working, as far as i can tell everything is updated, except possibly the npc map mod, but only because vortex keeps telling me i can update it even though i can't find a newer version that isn't for other mod combos. We recommend manual > moddrop > vortex as Vortex can be really janky with SV modding

Nexus is still fine, some people only upload to mod drop though but Nexus mainly the go to place for mods ๐
Thankfully manual installation is super easy for SV. Just unzip the mod and drop it into the mods folder

SVE has all it's map bits into the mod now itself, which NPC then pulls from, as the map author stopped doing support for other mods as it was too much work on them I believe? ๐
NPC Map Locations gets it's info from Content Patcher mods now
Mods have the ability to load all their data through Game Content now (with a little work) it's a trend I'm following suit with, and what my experimental build of STF is attempting to do.

Did you do a clean installation of SVE?
Because if you only overwrite you may have extra files that are no longer included in the mod
No they did a steam reset
It broke a couple of theirs but they were xnb mods
Delete and reinstall the mods. A fresh installation from the latest downloaded copy will work
