I need help with Khadijas please
One's already reported on the mod page and can be fixed with a config edit because it's identifying eggs using too wide a net (tag). The other is golden eggs are giving gold mayonnaise (3, as they should) with KeepInputQuality:True at quality levels: None/Silver/Gold/Iridium, which might be PFM for all I know.
Do you know why it requires CJB spawn?

If ignoreHairstyleOffset is set to "true", it means that the game will position the hat regardless of the hairstyle your character has. For instance, for a hat such as the Butterfly Bow, you will want to have it set to "false" so that the bow will adjust position to be attached to your character's chosen hairstyle. However, for something like the Eye Patch, that should be kept in the same position on your character's head no matter what hair you have chosen, so it should be set to "true".

Fixed it. It was the wrong dile
the new update of KRS removed the TMXL portion, so delete and reinstall entirely. some mods haven't been fixed to not have the dependency on the TMX portion yet

I'm honestly impressed that you have the patience to merge hair. I sometimes find things I like on Naver but it's just a PNG (or XNB that you can extract the PNG from) and I just feel too lazy to do that.
Someone needs to make a "wig" framework mod so people can add hair as like JA or CP or something so you can apply new hair that way. It'd be easier
And that way you can make a wig shop to sell hair
For this elegant body mod I disabled the hair because I don't want to risk replacing what I have set

Assuming SMAPI is installed, now you go on Nexus and look for mods you like. Download them, extract them from their zip file, then put them in the mod folder

I.. i really hate the default pink trees in the spring edition of the beach farm. Those trees with the vines are hideous and I hate them. I'm trying to figure out the best way to replace them with a different tree sprite.

It does take time, but for me it was copy-pasting files, and making sure they are aligned based on the hair alignment sheet. I realized it'd be much easier with layers hehe plus Aseprite also makes it even easier
I didn't used to, but having the alignment sheet on the back layer sped up the process lol

The data tagging format inside these files is making my head hurt and I'm running out of red string to make lines across the room to map egg types to tags. 
Hrm, gotcha. It seems to load fine (it's just Wren's Expanded greenhouse) and if I hadn't completely failed figuring out pathing last time I dinked with a map file I'd probably just try to fix it myself, but alas. I guess as long as the game doesn't just up and fry itself then it's nbd for now.

It seems like only Chocolatier is affected by this change. I have most of the KRS shop stuff installed and that was the only thing that complained/needed fixing. Everyone else must just not list KRS as a dependency.
yeah, for the most part mods have vanilla functionality that gets overridden with KRS

like a tree vendor, a vegetable vendor, a flower vendor, etc
when you have that mod installed KRS will move to that location automatically too (on some days)
There's also that whole shopping village for the same purpose
or we may be talking about the same thing

No KRS is different from Garden Village. It takes over the stand where Alex sells ice cream during Spring/Fall/Winter, and is located in the desert in the summer (so Alex can still sell ice cream)

No, that's someone else's mod, and they don't do specific seed types afaik. You also have to manually patch that mod, which is the opposite of my design philosophy ๐

The only thing you've gotta have an eye open for is compatibility with other mods. Some require SVE, some are incompatible, and some have an SVE version.

Don't worry too much about mod conflicts, you can install a surprising amount of them without seeing issues

Hello, was having these multiple times before I began using the 3.9.2-alpha and managed 9 consecutive days with lag spikes during certain areas of the game or very 'busy' areas with calculations/particles but eventually my game did succumb to another wild OutOfMemoryException and I thought my log would be of use to you in this regard, so here it is:-

If it makes a new house the map will be changed accordingly. Some things can go wrong when removing npcs I think, SMAPI needs to clean things up.
As long as it doesn't use the same file for both mods
Like two mods can't LOAD the same map.
One of them can load, the other needs to editmap for example
But that would also be a problem if both mods were loaded in a new save

So with the change dialouges mod, when i change the name of the npc in the config is doesnt actually change the name in game. Any help with this? Cant change it in npcdisposition file because its a character from sdve
I tried to add the artisanal valley mod and the accompanying mods it needs and PyTK screwed everything up so badly I can't even launch the game long enough to delete items from my inventory. Suggestions? Do I need to go manually see if I can delete the items or nah?

do u play with steam? if so, open up steam, right click stardew and properties, copy the file path to StardewModdingApi, paste it in the launch options, make sure to have quotes on either side of the path and do %command% at the end

@bleak mirage from nexus find one of the mods you downloaded click the drop down arrow where it says remove and then click open in file manager
then in the bar click the mods folder and just copy from there and drop into the stardew valley mods folder where the exe file is

I already had a bit of a laggy game too and removed it for a little bit when testing, didn't seem to have an impact.
I do have multiple "code" mods though

Might be worth removing and reinstalling it and its dependencies' files. It looks like TMXL Map Toolkit is spinning dozens or hundreds of times a second in a loop complaining that PyTK loaded map 'assets/SpouseRooms/VictorsRoom.tmx' with invalid tilesheet path 'spring_z_extras.png'.

A friend is installing the game with some mods, and altough the smapi app detects 21 mods, the "configure mods" button doesn't appear
Since he downloaded stardew valley expanded, it's not as if there aren't any mods that aren't configurable
Is that button from generic mod config menu, and perhaps that's missing? I don't think it's listed as an SVE dependency.
(Completely guessing, that's the only in-game mod configuration I know of for stardew)

If they don't support GMCM you just have to edit their config manually

If I'm adjusting the key binds for a mod and I want it to use the NumPad, do I need to set the keybind to NumPad7 (as an example)?
Realized all but 1 of the keybinds for the "Swim" mod overlap with other mods I have.
I set swim to Z
I did have it as Q, but that overlapped with chest dumping
Now I have diving as Q, because that overlap is never going to matter

Some mods let you edit key bindings, which are controller/keyboard/mouse buttons which do something in-game. This page explains how to configure them. (This works for any mod using SMAPI's standard APIs.)

Yeah, there are no errors, and so far I've identified none of Bonster's crops aren't for sale where they should be, and also several flowers from Mizus are missing as well

JSONAssets has issues with Harvey selling items currently, So in order for Cannabis Kit to work properly and the introduction to make sense, change all of the Seedpurchasefrom Harvey to Sandy.

Is there a way to check all keybinds your games is using to look for overlap? Apparently something else is already use NumPad9, and TimeSpeed wants to use B, which is already for "Chests Anywhere"...
I've seen people with at least a similar issue, no idea what the fix was
(Plus I need to figure out what's using NumPad9 - it brings up a box with a bunch of data and Controls, but no idea what for...)

Stardew is a 32 bit game and can only use up to around 3.5 gigs of RAM regardless of how much RAM your system has
Every time I go through and look at mods, I wonder if I'll ever replace the hudson valley building pack, and every time I don't.
Does that include mods too? I wasn't sure if mods increased ram usage or nit

(So along the lines of the old Skyrim LE issue, except that was a programming failure.)
but some people with lots and lots of large, memory-intensive mods have gotten out of memory errors because their stardew + mods hit 3.5 gigs
playing for long strings of days without closing and reopening the game tends to result in memory useage slowly creeping up, so if you have a lot of large mods it's a good idea to close and reopen the game every few days + on season change

It's low resolution pixel art. It doesn't have much impact on the graphics card at all.

yeah eg setting off a bomb on a really big map results in a lagspike as is checks...every tile...more than once
monster pathing with lots of monsters on large maps also uses a lot of CPU

It is some of the stones that glitch, but hicccups as in slowing freezing for a second or two

Custom music is often a big offender as music and sounds are big and a decent amount of custom music has the Preload setting set to true in the content.json
which means it doesn't load and unload when needed; it's just. always there

it's usually fine, just don't try to play new tracks of custom music on the jukebox unless you're sure it's preloaded, something about the jukebox makes it not do dynamic loading right

You might have the UI and the game zoom in different values. It's fixed as soon as those are the same.
Is there anyway to mod in a way to move around trees on Ginger Island? I love the Tree Transplant mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1342) but since it has to go through Robin it seems to only work on the farm.
(Sorry if this isn't an appropriate question for here, can be removed by mods)

basically, make sure you've got all the right dependencies, and the ol' delete and reinstall (installation version of turning it off and on again)
I got all the dependencies and this is the second time the shaved ice mod errored ๐ญ i had to delete it for the same reason last time
Its just the Shaved Ice thats erroring badly, and PyTK had some kind of exception error

The teriyaki has always had a recipe error for some reson. I have no clue where the ebi tempura comes fron because it's never errored. And i have no clue what the Tendon is part of ๐คท unless Tendon is part of the Meats mod. But i can't do the meats mod without the Bug Net mod. And Bug Net crashed my game the one time i tried using it ๐ญ
tempura is artisan valley, teriyaki is fresh meat, and tendon is even more recipes
But i have Artisan Valley and Even More recipes. As far as i know, i have everything but Fresh Meat. I tried downloading Fresh Meat again today but it errored saying i needed BugNet so i just deleted it
When i had Fresh Meat before tho, without BugNet (somehow it worked previously), Teriyaki always had a recipe error then too

if that add-on is in your mods folder and says it doesn't work because it requires bug net, that doesn't mean the whole rest of the mod isn't gonna work! that part just won't load while the rest of the mod does

no, the bug net tool issue is from a conflict between PyTK and SpaceCore. to use bug net right now, you need an unofficial version of PyTK and a custom build of SpaceCore, which you can find in spacechase0's mod server (the link is on all his mod pages)
unfortunately PyTK's source code hasn't been updated in a while, so the unofficial is based on an old, buggy version. if you try it, be prepared for all your maps to turn to a black void around 7 pm
Do i necessarily need the BugNet or Fresh Meat? Cuz its only causing Ebi Tempura, Teriyaki, and Tendon recipes error. It wouldn't cause any other issues than that, right?
you definitely don't need BugNet. fresh meat is needed for several PPJA mods so it's probably best to have it

i think it's bug net and item bags that need the unofficial pytk, animal husbandry changed how it handles its tools so it no longer has any issues with spacecore/pytk
cool, i use none of them, so i'll try the official pytk and hope it plays well enough with spacecore and stops void maps/disposed texture 2d crashes
the clash was just with PyTK-added items!
like bugnets and item bags and meat cleavers, but the Animal Husbandry mod now uses the ModData field added in stardew 1.5 to store its data instead

How many days are you playing jg at a time? There's some kind of memory leak right now.
I was getting it on one, which was a serious issue. Eventually narrowed down the biggest offender as the magic mod. Do you have a lot of music mods, memory intensive mods, or things that would mess with the save file?
1.5.3 introduced this error, and 1.5.4 was supposedly fixed on 1.5.4

Multiple music mods is also an issue, you can change the preload in the content json to false to free up more memory. Just don't play the songs on the jukebox.

can you try deleting JA and reinstalling it? sometimes bad installations do weird things
not all of those recipes are things shaved ice adds though, it's just breaking random JA things
if you use vortex, don't, it messes up stardew files
Do i just need to retry downloading JsonAssets itself? And i assumed it was the shaved ice being broken Because everything except the teriyaki and other 2 were shaved ice & frozen treats recipes.
And i deleted Vortex today which is why i redownloaded everything manually ๐ like completely deleted from the computer
the fact that there are two other recipes at all tells me its a problem that goes beyond shaved ice
troubleshooting is often just redowloading/removing or adding mods until you find what's going wrong
All i have to do for JA is just extracting the zip and all right? And i don't have Fresh Meat mod which is why Teriyaki, Ebi Tempura and Tendon are erroring. That i do know. That wouldn't effect the shaved ice recipes tho right?
