If you used a mod which changed the "save serialiser" and then removed it that could mess up the save.
nvm... im a dingdong. i figured it out. when steam updated earlier today, it must have removed the SMAPI launch option for stardew valley, so it wasn't even attempting to load the mods

I bought mac mini few week ago then arrived 3 days ago, I installed stardew valley with mods but I am not sure my mac local in Launch Options "~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS"%command% (user name hidden). but error when open play SV.

So my issue with the walls was not the kitchen nook. I think it's vibrant pastoral. Just changed the settings to disable walls and a bunch of stuff. Fingers crossed

you can't move it until you complete the greenhouse, or go back to your original farm map, finish the greenhouse, and then switch to your new map, then move it

that's not really a sve problem, its a changing farm map problem, and no it does not

changing farm maps means doing it only when you dont have crops and such planted, and be prepared to move farm buildings, possibly with noclip
that's not grandpa's farm, that's susan's farm at the railroad map XD
so in theory ridgeside would work on my save without any issues right

you can clear the debris and choppable trees, maybe with noclip mod
rsv should be fine, since it only edits the bus stop map
the only problem you can sometimes get with adding new areas is bushes being in the way of the new shortcuts

timespeed can configure time
timespeed can be configured to pause time inside, but you can also just pause time when in the farm house specifically, and unpause it when you leave XD
also, https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/7638 this auto pauses time in the morning, and unpauses when you leave. and it'll pause time in the farm house at 1 am

lol, in all might's event where he asks you a bunch of questions, he asks your age and one of the options is "about as old as you" to which he responds "you'd be surprised haha". i just looked it up and he's 49. the character i'm currently playing as the farmer is 48. you were saying, all might? XD

yeah, when answering that question, i figured he'd be not much older than 50. he's a seasoned fighter who effectively got poisoned severely to look older than he is.
Since I redownloaded my mods on my new laptop, I seem to have issues every time I try to use fences or gates. I can't get the website to parse my smapi log, though. I've gone into the file and can pinpoint the error right before it crashed, which is just repeated over and over

So I've been playing this file for a while without issues, but the game will no longer go to the next day (freezing after the fade to black before money processing).

It's not related to anything I'm doing on the day, because it happens if I just go straight to bed. The game's trying to go from Fall 14 -> Fall 15, Year 2
The mod list is SVE + a couple of UI-related mods, I'm happy to try with a subset but I don't know what I could remove without preventing launching other than the UI mods

So when it first happened, it was the first day I interacted with/met Qi. So I thought that was the cause, but I've since played the day without talking to him with no luck
I do have a newborn baby who is only a couple of days old, but I don't think it should be trying pathfinding for them
i doubt it's sve given my own experience, and how dedicated the author is at making everything run smoothly, but it might be something in conjunction with sve. only 'cos that's the only npc mod you have.

their quirks in modded games are mainly related to schedules. whether they'll be ||on the island or pelican town that day||
now, i am not an expert by any means, so this could absolutely be a red herring. but for what it's worth, that's what i suspect you're running in to and idk how to fix it >.> modders are working on how to fix that character's schedules for modded games, so it's a known and troublesome issue.
That makes sense, and I can see how it could cause some weird edge problems. I didn't know that ||Leo could come to the main land||

Removed any reference I could find in the save but ||Leo|| still shows up in my list of NPCs and no difference on save. I looked more at the wiki and ||I don't yet have 6 hearts so he should be firmly on the island where he's always been thus far||, but if people are seeing issues with them already then it makes sense that it could cause a pathfinding issue here too.

@heady galleon someone in the SVE server was also having issues with SVE and Andy's schedule. Unsure if they are related. I dont think the Leo issue would cause this otherwise it would be way more prevalent.

The only other thing I can think of is it's trying to send someone to the island who cant get there?
Not that I can recall. The day before the current one I planted a bunch of crops on the island for the first time but was able to sleep fine, no major NPC milestones other than I had a kid a couple of days ago, but theyโre still sleeping in the crib as itโs literally been only a couple of days

I can load Fall 14, play the full day, it never makes it to the profit screen after I sleep at the end of the fast

And that happens no matter what I do on the 14th. If itโs thought to be an issue with an NPC thatโs traveling on the 14th I could also try to go back to the 13th and close the resort then.
Iโll have to try both of those things tomorrow, resort messing up schedules would make sense.

Unless SVE has set someones to change and it no longer can set its I have had issues when finishing the community center and closing joja of ppl dont have a joja alternative set in the schedule.

btw sve is fine for me now
Btw the reason Leo is messed up is that smapi or another core framework reloads the NPCD on load and this resets his spawn point to the original one. Alas Concerned Ape doesnt use content patcher! Sve is putting in a fix and ill be adding an identical (or very similar) one to ES soon.
You can apparently edit your save file too but I'm not confident doing that.
i'm doing much better restricting myself to half hour days instead of 3 hour days XD far fewer night crashes and void maps

Yes but as it is 95% core game material I am leary of releasing it alone. I would want to add at least some original content first.

In all honesty, while I can more or less understand the error log, I'm heavily unfamiliar with the mods out there. The only mod that I know and is giving errors is the Tractor mod, I'd say disable it, but at the same time it's one of Pathoschild's mods, which I doubt has errors, unless it's an old version or something.
The other thing is that the game can't seem to find the stable, meaning perhaps it's being overridden by any of the expansions you might've installed through PyTK?
I'm also not sure when this crash started happening, did you install some mod? Uninstall one? Did it just happen from one day to the next? Did you by chance build a horse stable?
it started crashing when i downloaded the tractor engine sound and the PyTK custom music needed to load it
im not sure about the stable but before it started crashing i downloaded gwen's mod "Medieval tractor garage" and "Medieval buildings" one of the things that medieval buildings can change is the stable..
the crash happened a day after i installed the tractor engine and PyTK Custom Music
and yes in my saved file i already built a horse table
one thing i also realized is that a while ago i misclicked my other saved file this saved file doesnt have a horse yet and when i went out of the farmhouse it didn't crash however when i loaded my main saved file that has a stable, it started crashing
the crash always happen when i step out of the farmhouse
Which is clearly when the game tries to "draw" the stable, which seems to go wrong. I'd start off trying to remove said tractor garage mod first, see if you can get any further. Then might it still not work also the pytk, plus sound, then tractor mod. If it starts working at any of those steps, then perhaps see if there's more people having issue with the lastly disabled mod.
I do have that garage installed, but not built yet. Don't think it's related to my crash :P

there's also rumblings of memory leaks/issues with spacecore/pytk in 1.5 that might be causing it, Pathos did post an alpha smapi the other day that 'might' help
I doubt its an issue with memory as people use more mods that that. Prollu just a mod issue
You can check system, or msinfo for the ram. Would probably be smart to check if they're not on only 4gb?
Spacecore does seem to be what's throwing the issue from what I can tell.
mod count doesnt matter much, modcount can be inflated horribly by using lots and lots of little mods
its all in using all the 'big' mods

I honestly mostly just play one or two days at a time
with a heavy modset in 1.5 playing more than a couple of days will almost always give you an oom error while trying to sleep, it gets pretty annoying.

could try going back to release, also, if you have CM mods, sve, etc, you can try setting their content.jsons to preload=false instead of true
CM mods tend to eat alot of ram with preloading everything

Essentially, I've had to do a fresh reinstall of the game and nuked my saves just in case but I'm still getting this error. Even after uninstalling SMAPI and Stardew and running Stardew standalone without issue.

At first I thought it was a memory issue, so I ran a Memory Test (Win 10) and that came out clean. I'm not 100% sure what's going on... A day and a half ago, I managed to install SVE and start a farm up just fine, ran perfectly. Now? It won't get past the first stage of launching.

!reinstalldeps I'm not sure what's going on, but you could try reinstalling the game dependencies, see link below. Additionally, to confirm, do you have speakers / headphones plugged into your computer when you're running SMAPI?

Hey everyone I just wanted to let you all know that lately I had been having a problem with a mod giving me either 100+ diamonds, topaz, or rubies on random days. I could not figure out what mod was causing the issue, but it turns out the culprit of that problem was the mod called โMore slimesโ. The mod itself is a cool concept except for that bug randomly giving me gems, itโs not supposed to do that.
I can't remember if someone else mentioned it or if it's only been you, but if you've narrowed it down to that mod, that's good to know!
I see a similar comment on Nexus that also has that problem, have you updated to the latest version? They said they fixed it. ...actually, nevermind, they said they're still working on the getting a bunch of stuff overnight problem.

So I'm just trying to use the Eight Corners mod, but it says I need to have the Reset Terrain Features mod to use it. However, R.T.F hasn't been updated for 1.5 yet. Does anyone know a way to get it to work/know a replacement mod for R.T.F?
The workaround is Destroyable Bushes and Noclip Mode

huge amount of farming land, a spot that spawns logs and stumps off to the left, quarry in the top right, dedicated grass patches with configurable growth rates and fishing comparable to riverland farm
it replaces the wilderness farm map, not the standard
don't mind the glitchy bits, apparantly part of my social menu decided it wanted to be part of the screenshot
it's winter (obviously) so you probably can't tell, but those darker rectangles south of the coops are permagrass, with configurable growth from "sparse" to "this whole thing is all grass every day"

Well I'd suggest reinstalling that, because it seems like the save file is trying to get progress from an altered list of the community center. Not sure if there's a way to reset the CC?

delete custom furniture, delete advanced location, free dusty, more artifact spot, new windows. all of them are incompatible. to set your steam launch options, open up steam, right click stardew valley, properties, launch options, and copy the pathname to stardewvalleymodding.api
make sure u have quotation marks on each side of the pathname, after the quotations, do %command%

Does tractor mod sometimes cause inputs to fail? Ever since installing it I've had several times where I've clicked to preform a valid action and it just...doesn't happen. It also feels like my interaction range has decreased slightly but that might just be me.

This mod is happily retired as of SDV 1.4 due to the ability added in-game to rearrange the museum as the player pleases! So every morning you click it, and it'll grab everything out. And if you click the shed while holding fruit, it'll fill everything up with it.

@novel panther the coordinates depend on screen resolution, window size... so the exact coordinates won't help you much, unless you only want it for yourself
I just need it for myself, to reposition a popup for xp gains. I've moved my experience bars slightly and they don't line up anymore.
easiest way would be to align it based on the experience bar
just look up the coordinates of that one, then adjust the coordinates to whether place you want it in relation to it

you can type whereami in the SMAPI console and it will tell you the coordinates of where your farmer is standing
this only works if you have Farm Type Manager (a framework) installed though

Hi! this is my first time trying out mods, I opened a mod with Smapi and apparently everythings fine.. if i decide to use SDV vanilla again, would it corrupt my file?
Depends on what mods you have.
Cosmetic mods? No harm
Item Mods? Probably
Data-changing mods? Most likely
Map changing mods? Almost certainly.

I haven't saved the game, meaning I haven slept, im too afraid to loose this file

that mod is buggy with a few mods too
Winter Grass will not make your file corrupted. All Winter Grass does is make it so your grass doesn't die in the winter. If you remove it, it will just make your grass function like it does in vanilla (meaning it will die)

Interesting. SVO did have an issue recently where Harvey could not have his glasses on even if you set it to have his glasses on in the config. But a day or two ago they updated and fixed that. I hadn't heard of new issues
But now that you mentioned it I brought up the SVO page and it looks like others are having issues too

Diverse Stardew does have some really nice portraits too. I don't know why but my favorite for that pack is actually Jas. They make her look SO CUTE!
