Looks like Json Assets broke because it's using a transpiler, and the compiled code is slightly different since I recompiled it.

Ha. Alright. I've been looking for answer but can't find one. I've started modding on Android tonight and went to download Expanded. Got all the right folders in the right places. But it gave me a giant log in SMAPI that none of them could be loaded because SMAPI needed to be updated.

Both Android SMAPI ports are currently broken. ZaneYork is aware of the issue. There is no ETA for a fix. A large portion of the graphics code got abruptly changed which caused the port to break.
ZaneYork does accept pull requests if you are able to submit a fix. You can also check the repo for updates for when a new version is released. https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer

One of your mods is renaming "Rabbit's Foot" to "Four-Leaf Clover", so when the game selects a bundle which asks for "Rabbit's Foot" the game crashes because the item doesn't exist.

Oh, they did change it for Data/ObjectInformation. So it could set the display name instead of renaming the item.

Anything that finds the item by fuzzy searching the name would fail, but most code uses the ID.
Why. Why in the name of everything does the bundle creation use fuzzy-search with the name. And not the ID like everything else.

Because it's not done in the code, it's reading the bundles content file. And it's a lot easier to understand "1 Rabbit's Foot" in a content file than "1 446".

so i have a weird question that i cant find any solution to, for some reason when i try and download a mod from nexus (in this case stardew valley expanded using firefox) it wants to download the file as a .osk which is an osu beatmap. i was downloading mods earlier today and it would download as a zip, i havent changed anything since then and all of the sudden having problems. cant even change the file type because .osk's delete themselves after opening

there's lork's issue, there's this madness that took us a hilariously long time to find, there's a weird surviving mars mod bug where a building randomly had the wrong capacity

95% ethanol is a good solvent! plus, it;s used in sterile technique eg microbio lab - 95% ethanol kills most things, and then you can set your glassware on fire after taking it out to kill all the rest

i was downloading mods earlier today (all of the required mods for SVE as well as infinite players mod) and they were all zips, then i realized i accidentally installed the chinese simplified version of SVE (lmfao) and did a reinstall of the original file

HI! I've got a question... Me and a bunch of friends want to play SV with mods, but we are 5 poeple... I know that we can play 4 player with vanilla, but I wondered if there was a mod to play with more player at a time...
infinite players mod, removes the hardcapped 4 player limit and adds a config that lets you set max players to w/e you want
the amount of cabins you can start with is still 3 though so will ahve to go to robin ASAP and make another one for your friend

oh I'm not sure of the fix. but the error is caused from the fact that Rabbit's foot is named Four Leaf Clover in multiple places. Um @tired brook can explain it better?

Console Commands should be installed with SMAPI when it updates. How it didn't is odd and I'd just reinstall it to be safe

After I update and installed lots of mods, my game keeps freezing when I consume an item. Smapi console print out a bunch of red text that I can't understand. Can anyone tell me if it's a problem with mods or it's because my computer performance is terrible?

If you have a repeating error, it can make that lag too though.
Notepad is less resource intensive than word; there's no reason it should crash and word wouldn't

You could look at K's replacement animals. Here's the pig one. Of course it's all a matter of taste, but I think K's pigs (and sheep actually) look better than Elle's. Just to show how effective and super efficient this "Bulk Rename Utility" program is:
I'm able to rename all of the different Baby Brown Cow skins (the program can search subfolders) into sequential order so that I'm able to just add them to my existing ..\AdoptSkin\assets\skins\BrownCow folder.

i just went to clear out my saves folder of all the test saves i made testing the rabbit's foot madness and hahaha it starts off all named "test", then there's a bunch of "t", then i found that wasn't reliably triggering the error because ???? farm name length matters for some reason???? and suddenly the farms are named stuff like "wat" (once, didn't work), "what" (like 5 times), "madness", "cursed", "glitchzone", etc

there was the KRS Town Curse, which they actually gave up on and which turned out to be the town using its own asset manager in the game code which SMAPI wasn't properly accounting for - found out months later
one person got a migraine and another person got a different more mild type of headache from trying to debug it

It's just I'm using Stardew Valley Expanded which has 6 subfolders. Not looking forward to manually updating each folder.
I haven't actually played it yet so I'll just delete and replace as it updated just as I installed it.

i've never ussed SVE, but with most modss you can just drag the whole mod folder into Stardew Valley/Mods and let it replace
Ah, I am currently jumping back in since the new patch and I am not looking forward to reinstalling all my mods! Especially SVE because I had a tricky time with that one initially!
since they change folder structure relatively frequently and detritus from old versions of SVE can really mess up your game

SVE is now almost the same install instructions as other mods! they bundle some of thier dependencies for some reason and this causes issues if you installed all the dependencies seperately

I need mod troubleshooting help. Was playing fine on a friends world with many mods. We went to the mines, I entered the 10th floor and it SMAPI crashed for me. My friend goes to the 10th floor and it doesn't crash. Additionally when we were talking about what we saw, it turns out that we were not seeing the same things on previous dungeon floors. Custom Dungeon Floors generates puzzles and things, and those were in different places/on different floors for us, although the maps were the same.
You know what we need? A universal keybinds/sounds menu for stardew that spans all saves.

hey, yeah that's me! i've been noticing the stray thing too with the latest build, there were some changes to it to attempt to fix some multiplayer bugs but i think it might have been nerfed a bit too much. we've known about a mystery invisible animals bug, but that one was related to playing in fullscreen somehow and doesn't sound like the same bug you're getting? when you say change the color you mean like using set_skin, right?

I remember seeing something about a mod that adds Peacocks. Since they are actually male birds, they cannot give birth to babies like the vanilla game would normally state in the animal birth dialog box.

The wallet section I believe jumps to the top or bottom of your Skills section depending on where you are on the actual map in relation to the top/bottom edge.

Yes. Its fine when playing by myself but we get alot of smapi warnings during co-op. We play different computer systems as well so unsure how to pinpoint which mod is causing issues for both of us? I'm Windows, she's mac.

Check out the config.json for the pregnancy role mod then. You could alter it a little bit maybe to your liking?

I think you only need the PR mod for when you have a baby with Riley, so If you don't plan on doing that you can probably remove it as a dependency in the manifest.json

The wallet section is unfortunately more to do because of any skills rendered past the Combat skill.

Remove the skill as in hide it from the skills section? Yes you should still get exp and any related skill level bonuses.
I believe by only removing the mod outright will negate any exp gains because...well...youโve removed the skill entirely from your game ๐

If you use UI Info Suite then you can turn on an experience bar that appears in the bottom left corner of your screen. It only displays one skill at a time though and I havenโt figured out what exactly makes it switch between skills.

Yes you can. It displays your Luck skill and value which is normally hidden in the vanilla game.

The Luck mod also lets you level up your Luck granting bonuses as well at Lv5 and Lv10

It could be misaligned, but I took the time to drag my mouse slowly all over the screen, clicking at pretty much every interval, but still couldn't click on it, so it's either missing, or I just missed it

yeah i mean using set_skin. I don't know if it happens to cows and chickens cause I hadn't thought til just now to try it, and i just closed the game, but every time I've done it to my cat or horse they become invisible, and the only thing that brings them back is closing and opening the game.
ALSO probably something to do with how deepwoods works and not really a bug, but might bring something to attention anyway, i once somehow "lost" my horse there by using the whistle call and leaving it behind and then getting the prompt about getting lost. Game wouldn't let me whistle my horse to me anymore, and the next morning my horse had a different skin, but NOT a different ID number. I tried to replicate it once and couldn't get deepwoods to get me lost enough

you can access the carpenter menu from the phone, if you have the hearts
I use both, and I haven't encountered an issue... Although I haven't used the CBJCheats to build anything

Going to take a wild guess here that Convenient Town and other map recolors don't mix.
and it appears my splice of horse into elles farm animals didn't work. sadly.
So I'm unfortunately having an issue with an item stuck in a chest. I cannot interact with the item at all (cannot click it to move it out of the chest). This is a screen shot of the chest, the item in question is the top left most item/food thing. Anyone have any idea how to possibly fix this? I have a smapi readout as well.
you might be able to blow the chest up/break it?
I tried placing a bomb next to it but the chest was still there afterwards

is the cooking item modded?
I believe it used to be a pair of Yellow "Gumboots" from a mod called "Rain Gear" but things were fine with it until I updated some unrelated mods (I know I should have backed it up before hand-- hind site 20/20). Removing the mod didn't fix it.
Unfortunetly looks like I'm not the only one who had issues with it. Wonder if there is a way to cheat the bugged item out of the game.
I believe you can 'carry chest' a chest into the ocean, there are probably other ways
I had this exact issue as well, same mod too! ๐
I gave up and just started a new save, but someone with a similar issue emptied out the chest (except for the bugged item) and then destroyed the chest
With Carry Chest I think you can also delete the chest in your inventory

Taxes taxes taxes... why the player taxed the heart and soul out of the poor people of Stardew Valley... those who couldn't pay their taxes went to jail.
I'm playing with 50% profit atm and enjoying it quite a bit, so adding taxes will make it interesting
also do u have suggestions on mods that gives more stuffs to craft?

I'm not sure I understand. Eemieโs map recolor is only for the terrain and maybe trees, it doesn't touch buildings?
And Foliage Redone also doesn't touch buildings. But it may conflict with Eemieโs because it also recolors terrain. There is a Foliage Only version of Foliage Redone
not that I saw.
