I wonder why SVE ships those three mods. if they were the only dependencies I'd get it, but it needs quite a few other mods as well

there's a button to switch btw walking and running, but not one that let's me stay moving while not touching the keyboard

So I've tried getting rid of every mod that I can (not SVE/Immersive Farms 2 Remastered or any of the mods needed for that or any mods that change the save serializer) and those bushes are still missing. I know that I had installed Ridgeside Village and had to do a world_bushreset command. I don't know if that is when they disappeared thought because I played in game for a few days before going back. Btw @brisk timber, I'll admit probably one of the reasons "just stop using Vortex" comes up is, people don't use it so they don't know how to help with it
so if you know how to fix some stuff and want to help folks with Vortex, definitely do so! I know if I see someone share a thing I'm like

So even if you see other people not providing assistance with Vortex, if you know how to help and want to do so, please do so!

Lenne I was literally thinking about that today. I may do a write up of the most common vortex issues I see if I can get that put into one or more commands
I don't know anymore but it says if I delete it, my save might get corrupted so that's why I'm worried about deleting it

Afaik it won't break, but you could always disable it just to see. Smapi makes a save backup from the day before (I think it's previous, may be a few days back but you can always make a manual copy of your save)

i wondered if there was anything causing issues with the fall assets being loaded since its the night before the new season
(I'm seeing a lot of players with an issue where they run the latest SMAPI installer, but still see the old version when they run the game. that is like half of the vortex issues people are reporting, although there is usually another step involved afterwards
I wonder how that happens though. steam shouldn't let you install a game twice, and the function to move the install directory should remove the old one

okay @brisk timber i removed the 3 mods i installed most recently, SimpleCropLabel, LookupAnything, and TimeSpeed and it is no longer crashing and I was able to start Fall
@chilly swallow That probably happens when you go near the greenhouse, usually due to a custom farm that's not fully compatible with Stardew Valley 1.5. Does it still happen if you remove your custom farm map temporarily?

If I can find a mod that causes that greenhouse crash, I'll see if I can add a check in SMAPI so it'll refuse to load farm maps that'll cause the crash.
if better ranching can do it, I don't see why it couldn't be adapted to NPCs

no, Vortex can work if it's set up properly and you're aware of mods that need to be manually installed with or without a mod manager
which really comes down to reading installation instructions if there are any
I'm using it for 250 mods right now and it has saved me a ton of headache managing updates and enabling/disabling mods when I need it to
It's good. They can't all be easy lol
I remember there being problems, especially when using different mod-loadouts, which was my main reason for doing everything manually early last year.
I actually haven't tried different profiles yet, but they've worked well in other vortex games
I guess it's time to test out a non-SVE list

The greenhouse is one of the few things I dont mod, partially because it seems so error prone, and partially because my bundles are so difficult that I'll probably never get it

So Quality Artisan Products is supposed to make the output quality the same as the input quality. Like if I put in a gold quality fruit into the preserves jar, I should get a gold jelly out

Artisan Valley was the first and foremost one, then I just added a few other packs for PFM

So if I'm animals won't not able to eat grass... Should I make it so they still check to make sure grass is there before being considered full, and then they just won't destroy it?
ye the intent was for them to eat it but not destroy it, iirc, for Aesthetic

I kinda wish there was a mod that makes grass grow faster than animals can eat it so I can both save and collect hay for winter.
(You could just plant more grass so more grows each day)
But if you've turned your farm into a battery cage farm then that probably wont work

It's apparently listed as a content pack for PFM
so it's indented under PFM
(in the log you can CTRL+F to find it, assuming you're on Windows, idk the shortcut on other devices >_>)

There is a mod that makes animals not eat grass that may be useful to you. not 100% sure if its updated or not tho
I bet youre right its probably conflicting with Quality Artisan Products
also useful is putting down lightning rods in grass patches so the animals cant eat it

I think I was thinking about using Mass Production to cut down on the amount of machines I had in my automate factory due to the host game lagging out during automate intervals.

I had that issue with the "[BFAV] Squirrels" mod and the "[BFAV] Squirrels with custom nuts" mods. I thought the latter was an actual add-on for the former when in fact it was actually two versions of the same mod.

Not sure if this would help you out...I use CJB Cheat Menu and enable other appropriate choices whenever I reach the respective skill's Lv5 or Lv10 threshold

More Grass can now specify whether animals can eat it, as well let you use CP grass packs with it! (Using a CP pack and a MG pack with one sprite in it)

That's a game glitch that lets you plant grass starter indoors

No, they won't be added to the random pools, it's just that before More Grass would override the changed sprites with the default ones when using a CP pack (effectively meaning the CP pack wouldn't load)

I think I've seen some modders change their username on there and I do a double take
it was a never ending spam of exp pop ups that either came from both of us, or just from one person (with the pop up appearing on the other co-op screen in relation to where the other player was on their co-op screen)

real life chickens? they can swim but their feathers arent as waterproof and after about 15 minutes or so they are so soaked they struggle to stay afloat
this doesn't stop the occasional chicken for going for a quick intentional dip on a hot day

the random door to wizard house is usually from having a wizard replacer/redesign
oh! yeah, that's it! more specifically if it's a mod or file that conflicts with the original when using something like TMX or other map editing files
that spot is where the wizard door is in vanilla :p

I vaguely remembered hearing about this issue with Instant Buildings
Reminds me of the time somebody asked me if my mod was compatible with SVE. ...Itโs a weapon mod. 
and sure enough someone mentions it on the bottomish of the first page of comments
it actually started before i installed instant buildings! thats why i installed that mod, i wanted a work-around
instant buildings works fine, i just can't get robin to do anything officially ;;;
she doesn't have a menu at all, or just her building menu is broken?
it opens on the coop, and won't scroll to more buildings. and i can't click any of her menu buttons, either
you could also try adding the "working with 1.5 tag", hopefully that adds a hint

my mother owns a bird, but that bird was sitting right near me and clearly not making the noises
the noises were from a sparrow and her stupid fledgeling that were inside
the adult sparrow was easy to get out; she saw me coming and flew out the open door.

meanwhile the fledgeling...tried to fly out a folded up cardboard box.

you can reinstall SMAPI and it'll install Console Commands again!
no need to uninstall anything, installing SMAPI over SMAPI is safe

you can use the Extract All option in 7zip or winrar when multiunzipping, or when installing 1 mod open the zip and drag it out into your mods folder; this will make it much harder to end up with duplicate mod folders
(that second pic is my mod storage repository, kept seperate from the SDV mods folder)

Changelog:
- Upgrades are now gated behind friendship with Wizard (as he's translating ideas the Junimos had)
- More difficult to unlock if you went the Joja Route, cannot get first upgrade until you have the required hearts AND have at least 1 Junimo Hut (you did kinda mess up the Community Center)
- Wizard now sends you letters telling you upgrades are available.
- Upgrades now take the correct amount of time to be built
- Upgrades cannot be purchased until Greenhouse unlocked
