Yes, you seem to have several recolor mods - all of which edit the same things
try using just one recolor mod
honestly i only saw one mod i could remove, plus i've seen other people use like all the same mods as me and have no problems so idk what to do really

having multiple stable recolours would just result in either one overriding the other, or an error message in the log mentioning that they clashed and neither mod loading
i already uploaded my log a little bit ago, before i removed lots of the mods, but if it crashes again right now i'll reupload it
although the smapi log on startup didnt have any error messages

on startup it wouldn't have any errors. you'd need the log after the crash - i guess you had a bad download of tractor mod?

but yeah stable recolours are only applied after a save is loaded, so you'd get the error showing up then
that was the second time i reinstalled the tractor mod though
the first time i thought the crash was because of a recolor for it
so i deleted the mod since i modified the assets folder and redownloaded it but that didnt work i guess

actually i was able to fix it! must have been an issue with the pants.
get smapi ( smapi.io ) first, on the website it instructs you how to install smapi. after installing smapi you can go to nexus mods and search for the mod you're looking for. Make sure to see if that mod requires any other mods for it to run. Download the mod and place it in the mods folder that was created after installing smapi. The folder should be where the game files are. Then make sure to run smapi and not the original vanilla sdv. it will look like a command at first but dont worry the game should run and the mod should work 🙂

Does anyone happen to know how to directly edit save files? I was using Minerva's Harder CC Bundles, and apparently it's bugged. It made the Boiler Room plaque (where you donate) disappear, and even uninstalling the mod / using a save editor to set minecarts repaired to true doesn't fix the boiler room. I'm worried that maybe I'll never be able to fix the community center in this save if I can't manually edit the save file

there's another issue i'm facing
i wanna use custom portraits for some chars
it works perfectly for almost all chars except 2
there's a caroline mod which i gave up on completely since other mods change her portrait too
i tried to switch their codes to comments but it didnt work
same for a sandy mod
i managed to get no error on smapi window for having multiple portraits for sandy but it still wont give me the custom portrait

It was the latest version from Moddrop. Manifest shows version 1.10.2. Looks like from the comments and bug reports that others are also having the issue where, when there is one item left to donate before finishing a room, the donation plaque disappears permanently.

Easy for me, but it's unclear whether the issue for others appeared on other difficulties

i was a little worried because i set child to npc to modify the kids at 23 days, which is before they even get off the crib, but it doesn't seem to be causing any issues. at least yet

I am using that app and saves needs to be customize individually at config json. I deleted some saves but saves name remained in The config json.

Im not sure, but to get the overlay to work, you need to launch it with Steam
hmm... strange, I thought that it worked earlier. I mean, achievements can be gained while playing on smapi, so i thought the overlay would work as well...
I think that achievements work because the game is in the steam folder, but you need to hit "play" on steam to enable the overlay 🤔
I might be wrong though, i launch it through steam with the SMAPI command in it, but honestly havent checked if the overlay works
i just realised it yesterday and was curious. like, skyrim and fallout overlays work when launched via skript extenders...
You can always check the settings of the game in Steam, if you have "Enable overlay" box checked or not

If none of your mods are working it sounds like you installed something wrong.

Yes or you can edit them but I'm not familiar with either of them well enough to help.
Ran's is nice and simple, just an NPC. SVE adds a lot more content not just one NPC.
XNB mods are no longer recommended because they replace game files. You can either make it a Content Patcher pack or check the comments to see if somebody else converted it already.

I think one of Ace's mods adds an attic and a bigger basement but there isn't a proper two story house where like the bedrooms would be upstairs.
As for the best mods for houses and furniture it depends on your style and what you're looking for.

Looking for Love adds a few of the single NPCs so not Robin or Jodi.
Yeah, I did find Siv's Marriage Mod and some stuff but it only added single NPCs. And this one Robin mod did kind of add Robin, but it made like two versions of robin, one the non-romanceable carpenter married to the scientist, and one living with Leah and romanceable.
having issues with Bonster's Fruits and Veggies mod, the fruits trees work fine, but the Candy Roaster Squash seeds won't plant, also it asks me if I wanted to eat it? when i did, it didnt crash but i wasnt able to interact with anything afterwards, had to restart, here's the log but it's not showing anything i thnk

hmm that log looks okay, is it just stuck on "Saving...." for a while? maybe try giving it some time, sometimes with a lot of mods it takes a while

Yep! Install SMAPI, drag + drop mods into the Mods folder.
It looks like they're just not watered but it could be an issue with the hoeDirt. What happens when you water them, anything?
I don't have time right now to look through the log in depth but anything that changes the map like Starblue may modify that.

i think for HD pictures you have to switch it from portraiture, so you have to create a folder for Belos with the png inside

I got a minor bug in SVE where you wake up on a normal day and inside the house still has night-time SFX and dark windows, same when you go outside but the world's bright. After 30 in-game mins it finally goes to daytime, any ideas for fixing it

holy wow that was difficult... log was toobig, so i re-did the action and saved game and copied the last big chunk of the log
i had that problem. i had to upload the log file right to discord and have someone turn it into a log using the link

As soon as it starts spamming errors close it and get a new log for us. Playing for awhile will indeed make the log massive especially if it's just spamming errors.

You can always lunch unmodded game when you lunch with original Stardew Valley.exe and not with StardewModdingAPI.exe Just make sure you do not load your save where you play with mods.

and as to what will become of furniture anywhere once 1.5 is up -> it will most likely become obsolete. It was good enough mod to get implemented into the vanilla game 
Once i accidentally uninstalled the framework and all the furniture in places it shouldnt have been before the mod became unmovable, unbreakable, unopenable chests

There shouldn't be. But if you could get us a log from the host and the farmhand(s) that'll help. You might have one that makes it more difficult or if you're not giving them liked & loved gifts/talking to them daily it might seem like you're not making progress.

Not sure what you mean? There isn't a send money thing inside Lewis's house in vanilla. It could be a tax/economy mod you're using in which case you'd need to reach out to the developer.
Closest thing to a safe is going to be the piggy bank mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6934 but you could change the sprite into a safe if you wanted.

so im trying to get the mega storage mod to work, it is working and i made sure i have the beta, but i cant see the crafting ui thing for a super magic chest

There isn't but there is the Instant Buildings feature in CJB Cheats Menu. So you can do them all in one day.

im having some issues using the portraiture mod for some new npcs i found on nexus. ive done everything they have said but the pictures are still not showing right. any help is is welcome
did you push P when talking to the NPC? and it wont kick in until after the initial cut-scene and your new day has officially began (just in case you are testing it during that cut-scene)
i hadnt tried that, gonna try it now. the video i was following showed it changed all in same conversation with them so i kept thinking i did something wrong lol
so i went back and talked to them use "P" to switch and just went back to start a new day and when i went back to talk to them it still hasnt changed 😦

Long story short I had new porterits I wanted to use and I thought you have to change them via the porterits via the files. Yet the files I had where png so I thought just remove png for xnb so it would work... It didn't- and now Im missing a key file and the game wont launch I messed up badly and I have no clue how to fix-

XNB mods are not recommended because of these types of issues as they directly replace game files.
Many mods have a Content Patcher version and those should be used. Or if it doesn't have one making a CP version is fairly easy especially for portrait mods.

does an arachnophobia mod exist? a good friend of mine is interested in playing Stardew, but they have a deathly fear of spiderwebs and i'm hoping to find a mod for them that removes all instances of spiderwebs from the game maps
The only place I distinctly remember spiderwebs and spider is the spirits eve festival. Are there others elsewhere i don't remember?

or you could put the mod files into a file on your desktop, ultimately disabling the use of them
and when you wanna play modded again, just put all the files back into the mods folder

For Artisan you'll need to DM bouncer. Any of the junimos can grant roles (if you qualify for them ofc).

I think the principal bug that i'm having is with the SpaceCore, the farm map works for eeveryone but only the host can see the npcs
it looks like there's an issue with your save file, are you the host?
We are using the Unlimited Multiplayer to play with 5 people
so idk
if that causes bug or something
The Spacecore error is normal for non-host players since non-hosts don't have a save file.

@tight valley @topaz sinew That’s unfortunately a known issue. The issue with farmhands not being able to see custom NPCs has gone on for a while, and it still hasn’t been fixed.
So yeah, its a error caused by another mod that we can search for an anwser or idk...cause yesterday i was able to play just fine on a test server with a friend of mine
Well actually it’s more likely that the invisible NPCs are a base game issue, especially since the game wasn’t that built for mods.

It edits the bus stop. The locations will only appear on the world map if you also an update to it. Itll still be there though.

On Nexus, there's a mod that adds a Quality Scrubber (it's called Quality Scrubber). If you're looking to completely remove quality, also on Nexus is a mod called Regular Quality.

If they are json asset files, you can change their edibility to positive.
no those are vanilla items, but there is a mod that makes SGB edible. IDK about AF tho.

Well, especially because of the way dialogue code works, I don’t think you’ll find one that keeps on letting you talk to someone (specifically with different dialogue each time)

Android smapi still broken?

Both Android SMAPI ports are currently broken. ZaneYork is aware of the issue. There is no ETA for a fix. A large portion of the graphics code got abruptly changed which caused the port to break.
ZaneYork does accept pull requests if you are able to submit a fix. You can also check the repo for updates for when a new version is released. https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer

A group of friends and I have played about 2 years in-game time and are in the fall. I had recently married Claire in Stardew Valley Expanded and when we went to bed before the day of the wedding, the game crashes. But when they go to sleep without me in the game, they are able to continue as if the wedding never occurred. Though, when I join on the day of the wedding that was supposed to happen, it automatically is set for the following day. As of now, only I cannot play but my two other friends can without me. Only possible solution for me to play any day is to play the day, leave and then load back into the world once again but of course have to rinse and repeat the process. Any ideas of what could be the problem or possible solutions? Thank you for your time and input, I look forward to your response.

Farmhands can’t marry custom NPCs. It’s a known bug and unfortunately can’t be fixed atm.
So does that man that farmhand can't play on that server anymore?

Just downloaded a heck of a lot of animation mods. Fingers crossed that they all cooperate and don’t conflict with one another
No error messages... I guess that’s a good sign...
Crap... A couple of them have Slime(item) animations that try to overrule each other. I’ll have to figure that out...
if it's the two mods I'm thinking of, there's a config file to turn off at least one of the slime animations

I'm not sure how mod drop installs things. Do you have a mods folder in your game install?

with an FTM version in SVE
yeah, I'm pretty sure those need to come out of that folder and straight into your Mods folder
there should be some SVE installation instructions that show exactly what goes where

both those mods let you configure which animations you want. So, which slime do you prefer? Open up the config file of the OTHER mod, and set the slime to 'false'
Ah cool. I have General Mod Config Menu, so that should be a breeze...

Hello fellow pelicans, I'm trying to start a new save and it's crashing every time the (skipped) intro scene ends and the farmer goes to sleep on night one. I am definitely running too many mods, but i cannot for the life of me figure out which one(or ones) is the crashy boi(or bois). The log parser lists the errors as all 'game' and 'SMAPI', except the "theft of the winter star" event which has never gotten in the way before and removing it doesn't stop the crash. Everything it claims isn't updated def is, i wiped and redownloaded all mods just to double check (https://smapi.io/log/38367c912f2c4cabaf26cf80f1578934)
Finally sorted out my animation mod issues. Took reconfiguring AND restarting the game, but now it works perfectly
