I typically play with QOL mods and boy do I hate it without them
I got too interested in mods- I play with 806 mods, and as soon as I go on my Switch to play, I already want to go back to modded for some of those QOL mods.
I think the only game changing mod that I play with is automate
And I normally don't go around filling every water spot with a crab pot
I just use it for stuff like auto-furnaces, mushroom cave collectors and other stuff like that
I think this time I'm going to fill the quarry with crystalariums or something stupid like that
or do the crab pot thing
Most of my mods consist of aesthetic mods, visual mods, QOL mods, and sometimes useless mods (cough eggplant horse cough)

Question about mods: When I'm installing SMAPI, do the mods installed affect both multiplayer AND singleplayer worlds? I was hoping I could mod my singleplayer farm, but leave my multiplayer farm unmodded (for the time being). Is there a way for me to separate the two?

you can always lunch your game with original .exe ( not with smapi ) and your mods will not be loaded
You can have separate mod groups as well, with one empty Mods folder (which would still use SMAPI)

Are there any mods that can help me solve my problem of: There are a ton of fruit trees from these mods, and not a lot of space to plant them?

Hello, I am a new mod user and I am trying SVE, i have downloaded all the mods needed, I believe, and created a mod folder (since i cant find one in the game folder) I don't know if it's actually working or not cause I don't see any difference on my map

Not really, you just don't have all the mods right now.
Hmmm.... I edited the config for that mod, and now all of a sudden a bunch of things are invisible...
That's...not good
And always make sure to check the requirements for all the other mods just in case.
Delete the config and let it make a new one and see what went wrong.
Something broke involving the content patcher animations, I know that much, because the items affected by those mods are the ones invisible

I'm also having this issue where sometimes when I load my save... it just never loads, the loading dots don't move, and I can't use the windows button to get out of the game, and even loading the task manager doesn't free me, the solution I've found is, ctrl+alt+delete, hit sign out, cancel the sign out, and then reload things

I also figured out why UI info suite was freaking out with animals, it's cause I didn't uninstall Better Ranching, I believe

But Expanded doesn't work without those mods

@hardy basin SMAPI isn't asking you to remove PYTK and TMXL, those yellow errors are safe to ignore. please try updating all your mods and see if it works then! content patcher in particular needs an update

it's listed as an optional "requirement", just to show that the mod can also edit that farm map
so if you don't want to use IF2 you can remove the mods

Did you upload the SMAPI-crash.txt or SMAPI-latest.txt ?
Smapi-latest - there was only one file.
I tried removing SVE and it seems to be working fine, so I'm thinking one or more of the mods are conflicting with each other?
there are not so many mods installed it the log you shared and nothing obvious seem incompatible
and if smapi crashed there should be SMAPI-crash.txt created
or at least there should be an entry in the log specifying what went wrong
it isn't always generated on game crash
or necessarily anything left on the log either
It was more of a freeze than a crash, which could be why it didn't make an error report? It asked me to type my computer password for "Developer Tools" and then froze (on Mac)
I just added SVE back but not winter grass or immersive farm and it seems to be working for now, but I remember before it crashed after thirty minutes or so of playing

i can tell from experience when getting ctd's from opening the map (seems to be a linux-specific issue with npc map locations) there's nothing in the log and no crash log

Both Android SMAPI ports are currently broken. ZaneYork is aware of the issue. There is no ETA for a fix. A large portion of the graphics code got abruptly changed which caused the port to break.
ZaneYork does accept pull requests if you are able to submit a fix. You can also check the repo for updates for when a new version is released. https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer

I always take comments with a grain of salt sometimes since there's no way of knowing if they tried it and it didn't work or they just saw the date/description and assumed it was outdated.

Would u recommend using tractor or the horse for the best game experience?
You'll need a female.png if you play as a female farmer. I usually just duplicate the male.png and just rename it.

Hey! got a question.. is there anyone else who is using the mod 'chests anywhere'? I played the game 2h ago and it worked fine. Updated some other mods and all of a sudden pressing 'b' doesn't show up chests menu anymore. Can't seem to find an error in the smapi log
@upper condor To expand on what Paradigm said, StardewXnbHack isn't tested on Android but I think it'd work with Android assets (e.g. if you copy the Content folder from Android to Linux/Mac/Windows).

Thank you! I tried to update my mods today (specifically SMAPI and Content Patcher) and the game is not opening. It's giving me the spinning wheel and I have to force quit. I uploaded my error log to the SMAPI site but it doesn't detect any errors: https://smapi.io/log/9cbf8ac65e504a1b8a43b0524de40841. One thing I keep seeing on different sites for Mac specifically (which I'm using) is to reinstall something called Mono, but I have no idea what that is and no recollection of ever installing it.

I am trying to make a Plugin for Stream Deck so i wanted to be able to display the current Skills per each and days, luck, Time
but in order to get those data i need some sort of Mods that can open a socket and able to send those Infos
You'd need to create a SMAPI mod to pull that info from the game unfortunately.

in expanded ||theyve already set the groundwork to make morris and joja feel like the threat that it's supposed to be. it gives me motivation to complete the community center because it would help a lot of people, not just pierre. joja doesnt care that its literally putting people in danger, and not to mention that theres more people who rely on joja in a parasitic kind of relationship where joja is sucking the soul out of some very beloved characters. ||idk what will happen when its completed, but sdve has more than delivered so far, so i expect something good

I think you may be reading into it too much o: people want descriptive /catchy / easy to remember mod names. In the end, they're mods for a game we enjoy 
fair enough, i just think its hilarious how much these names tend to bash the vanilla game, intentionally or unintentionally

I've never thought of it as bashing, because again, it's a thing we're making to get more out of the game? It's made with love, is what I'm saying lol
But then again, I'm the opposite of a purist. I love creating and using mods, to me it's about expanding on the experience, making it more fun. Doesn't mean the game isn't fun in and of itself, just that we're personalizing it a bit. There's definitely people out there who think the game is perfect and that only certain types of mods, if any, should be used. I think to each their own. I personally prefer to customize my gaming experience

@crimson rune I'm working on a mod that uses the community center on rainy days.
Also the original game is purposely created with room for the players to develop their own likes and dislikes and head canons. Its one of the beauties of it that it is so open to interpretation.
My Mods are basically interactive fanfiction.
"tolerable demitrius". Iunno about that exact case Lenne. people legit bash the characters all the time; just look at seasoned-and new-farmers. We have people arguing about Demetrius' poor parenting style all the time, or pam's, etc.
But still true, they don't bash the game or CA. it's funny, how they treat it like they're real people; getting deep into their characters, probably deeper than CA himself might've
Also the bad points of their personality is what makes them real. If you can loathe a character it means the author did a good job!
But so saying some chars make ppl feel uncomfortable so it's also good to have mods that remove that aspect.
I was referring to mods, not those 2 channels. In my brief experiences there, I've come across purists there that don't like the idea of mods, so, I don't go there because that's what I like to talk about 🤷 lol
Sometimes the reactions are positive and other times they're negative. I agree with Lemurkat that a reaction either way means the author did well. I see Tolerable Demetrius as someone's attempt to enjoy him more lol you're free to disagree and not get the mod for sure, I'm glad the mod exists for those who want to use it

In the log you linked, check the Skipped mods section.
The one I linked is an annotated one, you can expand the image (I think with double click or right click and open image in new tab, I forget) but the image description goes into detail

v2 allows more freedom in how your children look, letting you mix and match the recolors. You can choose skintone, hairstyle, and character your child is based off of for each gender separately via the config file.

No I haven't tampered with any of the files, frankly I don't know how to change the babies appearance

Both Android SMAPI ports are currently broken. ZaneYork is aware of the issue. There is no ETA for a fix. A large portion of the graphics code got abruptly changed which caused the port to break.

The first problem is here:
Duplicate object: Broccoli just added by Six Plantable Crops for Winter, already added by Fruits and Veggies for JsonAssets!
Json Assets doesn't handle duplicate items very well, which can lead to crashes and other issues. You can remove one of those mods to fix that one.

The next big issue is mod conflicts:
Multiple content packs want to load the 'Maps/Festivals' asset (Gaveliere's Furry Mod, HornyBachelors, Stardew Valley Expanded). None will be applied. You should remove some of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
The easiest fix is to remove all but one of those mods. You could also edit them to remove conflicting patches, though you'd also need to redo that every time you updated those mods.
You'd need to manually edit each mod's content.json and edit out individual patches.
Removing two of the content packs would be the easier solution though.

The content.json files are just text files, so you can open them in a text editor to change them.
So for example, given this error in your log:
Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/townInterior' asset (Gaveliere's Furry Mod and HornyBachelors). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
You'd open the content.json for those two content packs, search for townInterior, and remove the patches for that file from one of them. Keep in mind that might break the content pack, depending on whether it needs those changes.

@boreal cradle Json Assets is what assigns IDs for those items, so my guess would be an issue with Json Assets too. I do see a Json Assets error in the MacOS log, so you could try reporting it on the mod page for the author to look into.

Oh, Immersive Farm only replaces the standard farm; so you'd need to change the farm type in your save file.

Looks like you have the .zip file in your Mods folder. You'll need to extract it into a folder for it to work (right-click on it and choose "Extract All").

Everything seems fine in the log, you have the SVE version of NPC Map Locations and it correctly detected SVE.
You could try asking on the SVE or NPC Map Locations mod page about that one.

I'm trying to install 360controller, but it says "Install failed" when I agree to the terms and conditions
After a bit of searching it seems that 360controller is not compatible on Big Sur - is there no other app/installer that I can use controllers with? My controller still connects to Steam and is recognized in-game, but I just can't move/use it at all
Unfortunately I'm not a very familiar with MacOS; the suggested fix is mainly from other MacOS players who found a solution, but sounds like it needs to be updated.

flower valley is editing the houses asset and the uniqueid of it is kaya.floralvalley, so you could try adding the dependency with that uniqueid
is custom furniture still outdated?
You have Medieval Buildings installed so You can disable Flower Valley farm buildings in it's config.json. No dependency needed

Are you finished your community center?
Basically there are 7 randomized rainy day options and maybe 4 non randomized ones. Everyday it selects one and on rainy days will activate 1-5 NPCs to visit the community center socially. There are several events as well, but some only trigger under specific conditions. Also the craft room has become the classroom for Penny and the kids. Because the Archaeology House was getting way too crowded.
Several custom npcs are also included (if installed)
I have finished the community center several times on vanilla, haven't finished it yet on sdve

With SVE it's a bit different cos they change their interior quite drastically so the rainy day stuff doesnt work as well. You will be able to override SVEs but that leads to a bit of weirdness pm community center day since it changes the bottom right into something quite different.

so I was sent here from game support cuz that's only vainilla, I was wondering if everything is set up correctly and if there is a way to check if I can earn achievements in steam (I already have 3 in game but 0 on steam)

just in case, did the game load fully before you parsed the log?
cause somewhere between launch and title screen, if the game is not connected to steam a "steam not connected, steam achievements disabled!" warning should appear
and it's not in your log, which would indicate the issue is not there, if the game loaded fully that is
yes the game fully loaded! I played like 16hs already! I guess I could create another savegame and try to get the 15k achievement again to see if it enables it on steam?
I can't think of any other way to test if they are working and I kinda wanna get the achievements while playing my main farm
@gentle brook you have an incomplete install of SVE, two farm map replacements that can't work together (immersive farm 2 remastered and immersive farm 2)
also the SVE version is pretty old
or wait
i think it's that you don't have custom music installed and that is preventing part of SVE from loading
hang on, there's debug commands you can type directly into the smapi console that should grant you the steam and ingame achievements immediately so you won't have to play a new save for so long xD

it would be one of the folders that came with the SVE download (important one considering it adds the new locations to the game)
shrugs I'd say do both just to be sure you checked all possibilities. that is, load your save with the mod installed and steam turned on, and if the achievements don't trigger then, try the console commands

I'm not aware of a mod that doesn't give any gameplay bonuses for reaching beyond level 10 but I think the way skill prestige does it is pretty balanced

Sadly I've had to place limits on myself because of the whole scrolling thing... Also even at 200 something I'm getting noticable loading times when I first enter town for the day
if you have some music mods removing even one of them can make a huuuuuge positive difference in loading times

hmm, we could try to figure out the culprit from looking at your log
altho it may also be that your pc is simply too weak to handle this. but it can't hurt to check!
It's probably that one, but I am curious what's it loading once per day
just the town map being patched according to whatever mods you have, if there's no changes to relevant conditions it should work without extra patching the next day as well. the town can get very slow at loading when many mods edit it
and the loading time can depend heavily on season

hi all, ive been having a problem with my game loading incorrect images/names for me while my friend who is hosting the game has the correct ones. ex: we have the cannabis mod and hemp shows up as strawberry cough and white widow shows up as bitter orange with an invisible crop. Im not sure what all crops are affected as we havent tried everything but it seems the base ones are all fine..... Smapi doesnt show any errors or red text to reference either so im not too sure where to get started. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where i should be looking to get this sorted out? Any help would be much appreciated 🙂
Your ja packs are not aligned. This happens when you have your mods organized differently.
And perhaps you are missing one? We fixed it by the host uploading his mod pack to google drive and us installing it exactly the same as his was.

I was wondering if there were any community center bundles that use PPJA assets? I know about Minerva's harder bundles and also the bundle made by Jaksha. However, these have both increased difficulty. I mostly just look for a bundle that remains pretty vanilla in its difficulty except it gives more incentive to grow the PPJA plants. Bonus points if it doesn't use any meat assets. Thank you!

I think there's at least 2 on nexus that use PPJA, not sure if one of those is Jaksha's (Minerva's is on ModDrop now, I believe?).
This was honestly one of the mod ideas I was kicking around, a CC bundle overhaul that is close to vanilla difficulty but uses some PPJA stuff hehe I haven't started it yet though

Should work fine. Snow on roofs may be slightly different colour from the one on the ground.
