Hey so we were playing multiplayer tonight and some of the new modded crops from PPJA Fruits and Veggies (I'm pretty sure) were showing as one thing for me and another for my wife. Parlsey was Chestnut saplings etc, dried parsnips were miso starters etc. etc. She was able to plant a few saplings (at which point they looked like saplings for me too) but then it just stopped letting her plant them at all. We can forsee it getting pretty confusing/annoying unless we just forgo using any of the extra crops which sort of defeats the point.
Anyone aware of this bug and any idea on how we might fix it?
I like this cooking skill mod but it does this with the imventory X.X

SpaceCore puts collections at the top sometimes
You can disable the new skills page (that's the option name) in the SpaceCore config
You just won't see custom skills on the skills page

It sounds more like a mismatch of items
Shuffling is when you load a save and items change from what they used to be
so when i click on the mod config menu button in the main menu nothing happens in game, and in the console i get this

Hey all I've run into an issue with the community center using the unofficial update of community center bundle overhaul (https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/migrating-xnb-mods-to-content-patcher-packs.141577/page-125#post-3358330) and I was hoping someone could shed some light on the problem.
In the middle of year 3, for no apparent reason, the junimo note in the pantry disappeared (it wasn't complete). The view bundles button from the inventory doesn't show the pantry page, as though I had completed the room, but the game doesn't consider it complete (no additional star in the CC, and the pantry room in the CC and the greenhouse are still wrecked).
It happened sometime in the last in-game week but that's as close as I can nail it down. SMAPI log shows no errors (https://smapi.io/log/8641d9c3d10f494b90d79ddbb125b669) 😕
The original author actually just updated it today officially https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1681. They're working on some stuff still but try that version!
when you have a bunch of crop mods and you still haven't unlocked the polyculture achievement 
well that's too bad! why isn't there a warning, somewhere, like IDK, the wiki or in their nexus mod page? I mean most if not all other questions have no consequences if you're "mean" or negative, except maybe the actions you do on an event if the governor visits, but even so, most it happens is lose friendship points.
Sigh, I cant go back now, and started a separated save for the JOJA way, but that's it, gonna speed it up as much as I can.

Hey I've been having an issue with the game skipping and stuttering but only when smapi is installed. The vanilla game works fine but as soon as I install smapi, mods added in yet or not, the stuttering and skipping starts. I've been trying to find a solution everywhere and can't seem to fix it /: any suggestions?

@crisp sedge this mod hasn't been updated since January, I recommend using GMCM
It has it's own custom menu tab, and has automatic support for CP mods
SMAPI mods need to integrate a GMCM into themselves, but CP mods are detected by GMCM'

Yes but current android smapi doesnt work
so just a question, to manually add mods, you simply have smapi and all that in a folder, then you download mods and then put them in that folder?
so simply, you just add the downloaded mods into the mod folder
Smapi is installed , as explained here -> https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Getting_Started#Install_SMAPI
Once it's done you can delete SMAPI installer and there should be a 'Mods' folder inside Stardew Valley. You put your new mods there and then you lunch the game with StardewModdingAPI.exe

no need to remove smapi when updating. Just lunch installer of the new version and it should remove/clean old version before installing itself.

This might just be me doing some day dreaming here, but I have been thinking about setting up a running server for a small community. I know SDV is not really made for this, but a few quick questions i got:
- Does the "Always On Server for Multiplayer" mod stop time when nobody is on?
- Is there a proper 4-6 player map? 4 corners or something / or maybe a separate farm map for each player (not sure if this one is possible)
- Any good ideas or experience you have from doing this is really appriciated

Just make sure you have exactly the same versions of exactly the same mods installed
Might need to delete and reinstall JA mods instead of overwriting
I've been wanting to use the stardew valley expanded mod, but i dont want it on my previous saves, if i add the mod will it only be on new saves?
It will 9nly be on saves you load while the mod is installed

For anyones whos interested, i was too lazy to look for one that matched so i made my own dark oak dresser for the Get Glam mod.
(It eventually made me work more than just searching for one lol)

What happend if someone uses an old recolor mod but its in CP? What happends to the stuff thats new to the game and havent gotten a recolor in the mod?
If they added it via EditImage the new stuff won't have the recolor. If they used Load it won't be visible at all.

and you can delete Immersive Farm 2 Red Shed 2.0.2-unofficial.8-mouse because it doesn't work and you have Immersive Farm 2 Remastered instead

Finally figured out why Flowergrass & Snowfields as well as Piano Valley weren’t working. I actually had to activate WinRar to extract them. Whoops...
But now they’re working perfectly and I have a nice assortment of aesthetic mods working together to create a less saturated, more natural feel
Piano Valley pairs very well with the others, as I feel soft piano music is best for immersion in natural environments
It's a lot of color 😄
Would make me think there are sunflowers to harvest though 😛

Screenshots are hard to read but you're missing a few mods. Expanded Preconditions Utility and Child to NPC
The log you sent is different from the screencap. You need to update some mods (a list is up top) and it looks like you directly extracted the SVE files to Mods.

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has any idea why I am having trouble with only one file not loading. I switched to the regular unmodded game and tried to load the file there too without any luck. None of the other files are giving me any trouble but they are not as far as the file that will not load. I do not know if it will help to show my error logs because I have not been able to load that save in several attempts over the past 24 hours. If you can get any information from the logs i do have please let me know and I'll parse them. Thanks in advance

Oh also i disabled get glam &custom walls and floors because they caused some trouble beforehand. I am on android, and i know there are a cpl issues, but most of the time my game runs just fine, but it will have an issue saving every few days(of gameplay&real time)
I saw someone ask (in an earlier post today) when smapi would work for android. Did something happen to cause it fo stop working? I have Android,and have been using smapi for about a year now. I have the occasional issue with errors with my saves and loading my save files (obviously) ,but smapi usually isnt my problem, I am usually my problem.
There was an update to the game on Android that broke the SMAPI port. It'll be a few weeks before it's fixed according to Zane.

It'll effect games that are using SMAPI. You can try to load the modded file in vanilla but you might run into errors depending on what mods you had.
So that could explain why my file wont load on either vanilla or modded, but the file that i had not played past day 1,loaded without issue
Yeah, you probably had custom content of a sort that vanilla cant handle like custom crops or animals

heyo so uh, i downloaded animated gemstones last night and i noticed today that they are indeed animated, but some of the gems flicker between the modded and vanilla style, unsure how to fix this

Girl anachronism, do you use SpriteMaster by any chance? It's not compatible with Content Patcher Animations (which Animated Gemstones uses)

Oh, you are right, i completely forgot about Fanciful Resources. I don't believe SVE changes gems. Is there a way i can sort of merge Fanciful Resources and Animated Gemstones?

Yea the error for the duplicate shows the 2 file/folder paths
some of your mods need updating
and you don't have a 'two mods' error, but you do have a Not A SMAPI Mod error
with an incredibly long name too

@fair vessel this is super late but uh, I figured out what this was! 😅 It was Better Artifact Dig Spots. It was editing Cursors but it was replacing the whole thing, rather than targeting the specific area for the dig spots (and using an outdated tilesheet, unfortunately). I'll let the mod author know (ironically, you had commented about this 6 days before I noticed the issue

i'm trying to fix my greenhouse and i don't think im doing it right, unfortunately. i followed these directions (with the Eemies Victorian Buildings' id instead) and i still see two greenhouses
i can't tell if im misunderstanding these directions, they're confusing

every time i edit this file it completely stops the mod from loading, so IF2R doesn't show up
Wait, so adding the Eemie Victorian Building section causes IF2R to stop loading? Earlier you said you were seeing 2 greenhouses o: The site says there aren't errors with your manifest.json, so I'm not sure what's up

i think it also conflicts with the bridge over pond mod? the vanilla greenhouse shows up at the bottom of the IF2R map with some bridge pieces
try removing that and see if things are working again

That's because A Less Yellow Stardew wasn't updated for 1.4

Its not a perfect fix
As it does disable the Flower Valley farm buildings. But its what I could find
I'd blame ALYS on that bridge because there's other cliff tiles that were added in 1.4 that ALYS also doesn't recolor (because it wasn't updated for 1.4)
I noticed that as well, near the new cave placement theres a few off-colored tiles, but its not a big problem

Yea I manually recolored those for my own use, but it was a hacky grayscaling thing, nothing I'd share as an unofficial update

do you have UI info suite?
you can turn off the NPC location part of that, NPC map locations has more features and generally works better

I’ve never modded before and am a little hesitant doing so. I’ve backed up my saves, so that isn’t a problem, but do I need to start fresh if I want to use mods? I’m only interested in two skinning mods (animal skinner mod and a children skinner mod)

nope you don't! most mods don't require you to start fresh

yup! it's great, it just gets a bit weird in multiplayer because of the way horses work in vanilla
it's pretty easy to set up but you'll need to download skins for it separately, it only comes with a few

as long as they're named correctly and in the skins folder, they'll work. you can download any animal mod! elle's animals are great and come with versions already set up for adopt and skin
I was looking at Elle’s and they look so nice! Is there a limit to the amount of animals that can be adopted before the game starts to glitch out (I’m not planning to adopt a lot, just curious)

notepad++ is quite good and is free
its basically supposed to be notepad but good
although if you only edit text files once in a blue moon then the built in notepad is fine

update: removing eemie's victorian buildings seems to have fixed the problem. the greenhouse is no longer over the water
it probably recoloured the greenhouse and broke it in the process - turning off the greenhouse recolour in eemie's will fix it then!
i might try that since Medieval Buildings by Gweniaczek doesn't seem to work, i can upload my log if need be
I slightly liked the look of the enchanted buildings mod but I realized when I got it in game I wasn't happy. Has that ever happened with you guys?

That can be good enough since it’s hard to keep changing tools. I’m not used to the inventory being on bottom of screen and it keeps on moving when I change tools. I’m used to iPad and inventory is to the left. Hard to adapt to location on pc

I switched from playing on the iPad too. Locking the toolbar helps, it’s in the options menu

I don’t think changing to the arrow keys help because they’re too far to the right
then your left hand is on the right of the keyboard, and you can't use and keyboard shortcuts as easily

They are at the step before setting steam launch options (installing SMAPI). Setting Steam launch options comes after installing SMAPI, assuming they use Steam

is it normal for smapi to freeze up and stop loading with a high mod count and/or a low end computer?
Often when I'd load Smapi it would just stop working at some point during the console phase, and checking task manager shows that the memory usage doesn't increase (and instead slowly shrinks)

it seemed to happen more often with the more mods I installed, so that's my assumption for this. I just installed natural reshade today, so that isn't the cause either
It's pretty normal for it to take a long time to load (which might give the impression it's frozen) if you have a lot of mods combined with a low end computer.
If you also click on the console (the black window) while it's loading it'll stop. That's a feature of Windows.

PPJA mods are good to go with SVE, also some other "designer" farms

They convert hardwood into normal wood, with a chance for syrups. They also convert driftwood into normal wood, but at almost double the rate.
I prefer running driftwood through a wood chipper, because while it takes longer to process you get more out of it

getting the [game] Oops! Steam achievements won't work because Steam isn't loaded. You can launch the game through Steam to fix that (see 'Part 2: Configure Steam' in the install guide for more info: https://smapi.io/install).
Honestly (and I'm not an expert on this so take my advice with a grain of salt) you might have to set it up so that your crab pots are connected to one chest and then you'll have to transfer the items to different chests connected to recyclers or wood chippers.

the greenhouse is made to be small, if you could build multiple then it'd basically let you ignore the whole season system in the game

yes, all the side areas on immerseive farm are part of the same map (you can also build there by scrolling down and finding it) so lightningrods would work there

Can't uhh.. really figure out how to fix that unfortunately since the author set SVE as a false dependency, meaning anything I change is overwritten.
The way I patch Dusty into the game is by overlaying him over the doghouse, which is a vanilla asset affected by recolor mods.

i would have thought that the medieval sve mod would fix that, since i would assume it would effect the doghouse too
Just ignore that. Reshade is general-purpose post-processing injector for games in general, not specifically SDV (I've also used it with Skyrim and Monster Hunter World as well, although nowadays I use ENB for Skyrim instead). While I'd imagine the latest version should still work fine, it's probably safer to stick with the version that the author of natural color preset packaged with it, as that's the version the preset is built with. Although if you really want to update then you can look at the different version numbers, as well as the versioning system Reshade uses, as well as just straight up looking at what was changed between the two versions, to see if the update may cause issues.
As for what graphics API SDV uses, not sure
I usually pick 10 and it works. If that’s right or not I have no idea.

You mean like DirectX, Vulkan, etc.? That would be what Stardew itself uses, as those are the APIs for actually drawing and rendering images with graphics devices. SMAPI is just a modding api, so I doubt it touches that stuff, although I've never looked at the source code so I really couldn't say
Based on the short list of purposes on its repo page tho, Im guessing it doesnt alter anything with rendering pipelines
Although if on Windows I would guess either DX12 or Vulkan is what stardew uses

Yup! One other thing you can do is have a folder within Mods called .Toggled off (or any other name, as long as it starts with .), and drop those mods into that folder. SMAPI will skip any folder that starts with .

Rival Hearts is a mod. It had various pairings. The chars ask you for advice and you can encourage them to follow their relationship interests.
Clients does require you answering a canon event in a certain way though.
This is the mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2074 you need to be certain heart levels I think and then events will trigger when you enter their houses or something. Info should be on the page.

Hello, Im new in modding my game, me and my friends would like to play SVE but we're worried that it will be buggy for multiplayer, is it fine? And if so is there any recommendations for other mods that is good and compatible with SVE?
there's a SMAPI compatibility list, you should check it to see which one works and it's updated
also all of you probably need to have the same mods and the same versions, to minimize problems I'd wager

nc, from what I remember SVE will work fine in multiplayer, but farmhands won't see custom NPCs at festivals and the game will crash if the farmhand marries a custom npc

if you had xnb mods that replaced the tilesheet tilled ground is on, yes
maybe try disabling Foliage Redone to see if the discoloring is still there? ( adding a dot in front of folders name tells smapi to not load the mod, ' .[CP] Stardew Foliage Redone - reshade ') I can't see any mod in your log that would be an obvious culprit 
hi guys, i've got a mod called [CP] Shardust's Fences Gate Flooring and a mod called [CP] Seasonal Fences, which i renamed z[CP] Seasonal Fences so that it loads after. That didn't work. I took away the square brackets for Shardust's and that worked. However, the second mod loaded and the first one didn't at all. can you guys help me?
I want to keep the flooring for the first mod, but the fences of the second mod.
So you're tryin to have flooring from Stardust's mod and fences from SesonalFences mod?
