I really liked the idea of Museum Expansion! I wish we could just have Gunther the triplets π

tried to see if restarting it would help. it didn't. the only error seems to be adopt n skin and i'm not sure why. help would be appreciated.

json assets got upset with stardew aquarium npcs
trace lets you see what mods were opening/affecting/working, tracing the exact run of the game
before the error you had Aquarium NPCs, NPCDispositions
then it errored

The errors are a game error and an Adopt N Skin one that only happen when i enter Marnie's coop.
I under stand, but i'd rather have some one say "sorry can't help" instead of flat out ignoring the messages. again i'm not wanting to be rude i just... i'm so frustrated and just about ready to not play any more with the amount of isdsues i've been having.

It runs fine with it. its only when i go into marnies coop for SHane's event that everything breaks and goes into a loading loop.

that looks like an error I was getting with SVE and Aquarium, every time I went into grandad's shed, or walk to desert, or slept I would get an alike error of 'object reverence not set to an instance of an object'

i went to the mod page at the bug reports and someone says they have the same issue cause of karmylla's immersive maps
can you try to remove that and see if it loads correctly?

(SVE uses the immersive edited version)

If you removed petbed.png, this is the culprit. You can replace the image with something else, but it has to be there!
is the only thing I can find but that's.. Marnie's, and not the area itself so I don't think that's much of help

I want to have separate games
Like I have 700 mods
But want to make a game with only a few
the best i can think of to do that is to make separate mod folders and just drop which ever one you want to play with currently
if it is the map one then its fine, since I don't need to go to the coop after shanes event.
Also, i fixed the warning for AnS by using the white baby chicken sprite for the baby duck because when i got the og sprites for the skin folders a never got a baby duck :/
and make sure its still called "Mods" when it goes in
Set up each "mod" folder with the mods for each game.
^ I usually colour code my folders so I know which one is which

Besure to make a separate smapi launcher for each and name them/tag them with which one have which mods
I love colour coding my folders, it's such a small but mighty feature

I just tried to update from SVE 1.11.1 to 1.11.3. When I did so, I got a huge mess of errors. I decided to uninstall 1.11.3 and roll back to 1.11.1, but now I am still getting thousands of error lines. Any advice?

this is literally what it used to look like. that was the entire file
are you sure you're not looking at content.json rather than config.json in the newer version

config files usually generate the first time you run the game with the mod
i've run the game several times
but usually you can copy over old ones to new versions and it's fine
that's probably why the file you're looking at looks so different, yeah. π if a new config file hasn't generated for the new version of SVE, I don't know why that is.
I think I saw other people saying they weren't loading a config file either

Ah, SVE is a HUGE mod, so it's definitely got a learning curve if it's your first one
1.11.x is, to my understanding, a pretty big update; I haven't tried it yet myself. There might be folks around who can help get to the bottom of there being no config.json, but alas I am not one of them at this time. Best of luck though

what version you're on? SVE updated to 1.11 a week ago so it sure has few bugs but Flash is squashing and patching then quickly
Mine loaded completely fine and I have 300+ mods. But I didnt play it. Just loaded it to test some stuff.
There's a weirdness with the door of Gunther's rooms in the Archaeology House (for Gunther To NPC). It's a ghost/spectral door when I first enter the building, but if I change maps and come back in, it turns into a proper door. Any ideas?
if you're talking about what i think you're talking about, doors are a mixture of tilesheet and code to support the fact that they open and sometimes the game just...gives them lower opacity for some reason?

First of all I would recommend to fix all the Errors you keep getting.
You need some mods which aren't installed. That would be Kawaii Valley and Multi Yield Crops. Then remove everything from Expresso Machine, since Artisan Valley already adds the same things.
There is also a file inside which isn't a SMAPI Mod this should also be deleted.
If you fixed all the errors try it out again.

@mighty bane it seems you will need https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6069 and it the KawaiiValleyJA mod which you just have installed, also Espresso Machine seems to be trying to add the same items that Artisan valley Machine goods have, I suggest uninstalling Espresso Machine foods.
I also recommend updating your mods

you need to update several other mods like automate
you're missing producer framework mod, so quality scrubber doesn't work
your version of rented tools is outdated, check on smapi.io's mod compat list for where to find the new one

Jen, your main issue though is that you have a Custom Music/Generic Mod Config Menu/SMAPI combination that doesn't work - make sure you have the newest version of all three!
Also, does Vortex work with SV mods? Or is it always this manual way
@mighty bane right now you have to install it from Moddrop because the latest version is still not on nexus
Vortex can work with Stardew for some people but for other people it has a lot of trouble

i don't remember all the details of the GMCM/Custom Music/SMAPI shenanigan but one of GMCM or Custom Music reflected into SMAPI for some reason and crashed the game when the other one was present and this resulted in about 24 hours of both mods frantically updating with compat patches for the other that then got broken by the fact the other mod also updated with a compat patch and they hadn't been coordinating enough on who was changing what code in fixing it
they did sort it out but it was still pretty funny, if annoying

(Man Joja is lively today) - I don't think I have any other mod that edits Joja mart so it's definitely confusing. I have toned down valley mod, but I don't think that affects the Joja Mart? So hm..

Still having an issue with Jade, I read her read me and itβs apparently a known issue, but it shouldβve been solved by having Custom NPC Fixes, which is automatically included with SVE. No dice, sheβs still stuck in the river in the forest and doesnβt ever follow her schedule, and Iβm not sure why or what mod is potentially causing a conflict
I'm having a strange control issue when using SMAPI. It is the most current version.
My PS4 controller will not react at all when playing with the mod on, even with all other mods removed. With the Switch controller only the right joystick works and a right shoulder is the use tool button. Remapping these buttons changes nothing in game.
When playing non-modded SV, this does not happen. Toggling Steam controls does not work. InputMapper is not correcting this issue.
Has anyone else encountered this? I'm playing through Steam on Windows.

@rare quest it does! It's so nice to see it so populated. We're just trying to figure out why Lemur's door isn't appearing for me inside. Now that I'm home I can fiddle around with stuff and hopefully make the two mods work for me! (It really gives so much life to have both mods together like whoa????)

Hmmm, I suggest you get the update mod that lets you know the newest version of mods to update! it has helped me work out things a lot??
okay do you know what it's called?
it even gives links to mods ingame via clicking 'link - nexus'
and the fact putting your mouse over the out of date lets you know your version > what the new one is. It's helped me a bunch!

@dire fractal my sve is in a folder labeled stardew valley expanded but it shouldn't make any difference since the log report indicated mine was loading second and the light working suggested it was. Did you adjust the code perhaps?
