It should work fine. Usually it's major game updates that break mods but if it's a SMAPI mod you can always check here https://smapi.io/mods to make sure it works with the latest version. Content packs should be fine as long as their framework works.

there's no way built to do that automatically, but you could pretty easily just make a duplicate mods folder somewhere else, and swap them out when you want to change characters
just have to be careful to not try and play the wrong one

I’ve heard that even if you jailbreak your Switch, mods still won’t work because the system processes files differently. I.e. it would have to have its own version of SMAPI

Either way, I believe SMAPI should always be installing in a distinct location from the game's saves, so you should be free to remove or reinstall it as you please. If you want to be absolutely certain while poking files you could always back up your saves directory.

Just run the installer for a previous version. You can use the one you downloaded before, or download an old version from the additional files on Nexus mods

#

Smapi on Android itself is not limited at all. Some mods made for smapi aren't mobile compatible, but most work fine (sometimes with limitations or workarounds)

Alright, I've uploaded a version that should fix the issue. If there's something more in-depth wrong it may take me a while to get to it since I'm working on updating a number of the farms and am currently bug testing and screenshotting them.

I was also having trouble with the new version of the shed mod. I posted it on the page. The mod just won't apply, no matter which version I choose. It just shows the vanilla shed size. But there are no errors. And I also noticed it seemed to mess with the interior of my farmhouse, which is super weird. Could it have to do with the save not being new, or me using the old version?

Anyone have any experience with the "Animal Husbandry" mod? I've got some animals added in by "Dwarvish", but one of them isn't interacting with the cleaver, even though it should.

So this is strange. Last week Stardew launched with SMAPI as usual, took a minute to load all the mods and then loaded the actual game. Just now when I tried launching it, it wouldn't load SMAPI at all. Just went straight to the vanilla game. Not sure how that could've happened.

okay so firstly if you're worried about space, you should delete Heart based dialogue, All_marriage and Mi's and Magimatica Country Furniture because none of those are complete modloader mods; two are outdated file-replacers and one appears to be made of only PNGs

And secondly you need to delete and reinstall Stardew Valley Expanded

the thing with the "heart based dialogue" one specifically is that it appears to be using an XNB replacer format, which means it's fiddly to install, awkward to uninstall, doesn't get update alerts or access to SMAPI's error handling, can't use conditional replacement, is more prone to conflicts and is on top of that likely outdated

it could be updated and converted to a content patcher format but it is not a project for late o'clock since you'd need to unpack it, strip out the xnb formatting, remove any outdated dialogue, add any missing new dialogue, put it in content patcher formatting, and get it a manifest.json to tell smapi what kind of mod it is (and that's assuming you don't want to add any conditionals or change it from Load to EditData)

@oak solar have you checked out ChestEx on nexus? It lets you specify the size of chests (also affects the fridge). Note it's not fully compatible with Automate though, because it won't allow Automate to put items inside the chests past the vanilla storage limit (I think it also won't let Automate pull items inside the chests past the vanilla storage limit either)
I personally use Chests Anywhere, which is fully compatible with Automate, and just plan to stick the bunch of chests into sheds or something lol

Whenever I talk to lewis at the flower dance festival to start the dance, the dialogue loops endlessly to select yes or no. And when you say map, do you mean the actual locations, or the map in the menu? If it's the 2nd one, note that that is a separate mod called NPC Map Locations on nexus. There's a file specific to SVE

You can put a letter or a symbol in front of the mod name to bump it up in load order if that's what you mean? Assuming the mod doesn't rely on the one you're trying to make it load before.

So if you wanted Colorful Garden Mod to be above Best Garden Mod you could do !Colorful Garden Mod or bColorful Garden Mod

We're playing on a 3 player farm, and one player is experiencing a lag of 2 "day hours", including recieving the pause/unpause events. We're all on the same network, sitting next to each other. Rebooted/etc, tried everything I know to try
