as long as you're not using a reshade, which I believe have special install instructions, that's what you'd do

I've seen people fix that by adding a load late entry to the map mod's TMXL component

no, you're using Immersive Farm 2 Remastered, you can see that under the Content Patcher section of the installed mods section (Farm Extended is a different farm mod)

Yeah, you can use the smapi console to debug wh to warp to your bed, or install a mod like CJB cheats and use its warp commands to get out when you're stuck! But okay, boo. So you were on the farm there and went to the bus stop from there and it dropped you in the wilds.

@ancient socket I'm still not sure what's causing your child to act oddly, but I see you have a lot of duplicate mods, check out the Skipped mods section. It provides you a folder path for both copies, make sure you delete 1 so they load.

Hmm. The reason I was asking about entering the farm is that the warp fixing stuff all happens when you enter the farm, which I'd forgotten wasn't always guaranteed to happen before visiting the bus on Android. Would be nice to know what else could cause the freak wilds warping for future reference

Sadly SMAPI is only a mod loader, and not a mod manager.
You could use Vortex (the nexus mod manager) or ModDrop, but I've seen people have quirks with Vortex
So for most of the mods i just download and paste over the old folders?
Manual install may be more tedious but it's recommended
(Although, I think my broken brain was thinking about this the wrong way anyway, since the warps that get fixed are for being warped out of the adjacent maps, not into them.)
You should carefully read the mod description/any text on the file download to see if it has special instructions. Most things are good to overwrite, but if you have a problem the first thing I try is a clean install to rule that out.
yea for most mods, overwriting is fine. It's only, as mouse says, if the mod author wrote in big letters "delete the old folders or you'll have a bad time"

Well, it's not my mod but I did write the very hacky warp fixing stuff for adjacent maps when trying to make it more compatible overall with various other mods, so I was afraid it was my fault
And with as many downloads as SVE has, I get nervous thinking about having broken something either in it or other mods via it

I've just seen so many people have issues with updating SVE specifically that I'm like "just delete it all and start over
" (for SVE)
but like mouse said, it's not required for later versions, according to the documentation
As long as you're not using a save editor, or messing with your save directly without knowing exactly what you're changing, and are careful when uninstalling mods that add new items (be sure to read the instructions first), you should be ok

@gleaming sphinx it hapens dude, stuff changes quickly. my mom for example didn't study IT (going for math instead) because she correctly predicted that by the time she'd be finished with it none of the curriculum would be applicable anymore. yours is not as extreme of an example of course but still

Hey weird thing my old version of the content patcher had 4 files there's 3 in the new one
There's no config.json in the new one
I think i just dont feel nearly as confident screwing around on android as a desktop
config files are generated when you run the game with the mod installed, so mod authors don't package their mods with it
especially because if you changed your config, and then update the mod, you'd lose your config settings
if only there was a mod to store and save your config settings
I know the Tractor Mod mod page on nexus has info, should have a link to how to alter your config, with explanations of the settings
I tried to make my tractor go really fast once. the game did not like it!
2 is a little too fast to where it seems cheaty... 1 will prob be reasonable
If I remember correctly, when I set my config as a positive number it turned into a horse. I have no idea how that happened, or if it was just me lol
@robust bison I usually copy my config files into the new mod folder before deleting and then installing. Don't know if this is strictly 'safe', but it's worked for me so far!

the only scenario in which it might be an issue is if the mod author changed the config options, when that happens, I usually make a copy of my config and call it "original", overwrite the mod files, load SMAPI until it generates a new config, quit the game, and then compare the new one to the "original"

One way to avoid updating a lot of mods at once is just... updating them as the updates come out one by one
(under the hood, the tractor in tractor mod is built using Horse as a base. The default -2 is to remove the normal speed boost from a horse)

You might need to redownload all those mods. Switching between operating systems might have borked them.

Like I said, the yellow warnings aren't actually errors. They are for compatibility things with another optional mod that you don't have installed. They won't affect your game badly. You can just go ahead and play.

The mods for the warnings are optional - they are not required. So you are fine to play without them.
Oh boy. We picked some of what we planted in a second game and I got an error item. Is this because of PPJA? Or other mods?

(if you have a mod that adds pistachio, then you could worry about these warnings. But if you don't have pistachio from a mod, you can ignore them)

It's totally fine if you don't have pistachio - that's the idea - you only need to worry about these warnings if you have mods that add the items mentioned and they still aren't being used.

@boreal cradle Turns out I can't reproduce it because I fixed it in my local build a while back, just haven't released it yet. ๐ Here's a build.
One of you (the one on Mac) will have an error in the log with this build until SMAPI 3.7, but you can safely ignore it since there aren't any packs with custom fences yet.

That might a question for spacechase; I don't think Content Patcher should have any effect on that, since I think JA loads textures from different spritesheets or something?
Usually it just swaps the colors to another of i just swap it back though this was new
Json Assets is only at version 1.6.2 on Nexus, can't believe spacechase's unreleased version is up to version 36.

JA hats start on the default spritesheet a bit below vanilla stuff until they run out of room
its only 16 hats-
But there shouldn't be any flooring on the hat spritesheet, I assume.

I have updated my mods 2 times and it still says they can be updated
the first time it said 17 mods can be updated, I updated all of them but then it said 10 could be updated
I knew I had updated them already
so I updated them again
and now it says 5 can be updated
all of which I already updated twice
The version numbers may be wrong in the manifest.json

@royal arrow It's probably just that ALYS is old. 1.4 added additional cliff tiles to make tall cliffs look less weird, and I'd guess it just doesn't recolor those. Flower Valley shouldn't do anything with the cliffs.
Ace's recolor looks a bit similar in the cliff tones I think, have you tried that one?

well, that makes me sad on the inside because ALYS is my favorite map recolor, I'll have to see what I can do to keep it alive and well for myself 
What I like most about ALYS is the darker dirt color honestly, most map recolors have lighter dirt colors

On the other hand, getting real picky with exact colors is how you start getting into making your own recolor, so maybe you should start down that rabbit hole :P Daisy's has dark dirt too though, doesn't it?
idk mouse, my first thought was "make the new cliff tiles in the scheme of ALYS", although that still feels like the first step down that rabbit hole :p
I do also like the vibrant grass colors of ALYS as well, not just the dark dirt.
Is Ace's the Wittily Named Recolor? I think I recognize that, and that one is also a bit desaturated for my personal, picky tastes :p
I think the main sheets you'd need to look at for updating ALYS would be outdoors2, monster grave tiles, and possibly Cursors/Cursors2, I can't remember if new need-matching tiles were added there.
Coincidentally, I also just bought aseprite, so who knows~ I'm still very much a novice with pixel art though 
The whole pack could probably use a rework if I remember, unless someone updated it ๐

Another thing you could tinker with is a visualize preset, which would require less manual pixel editing for compatibility purposes

its because when a save is generated it uses mapdata to spawn bushes, debris, trees, weeds, rocks, grass. and once its spawned its stored in the save file itself seperate from the maps, so it wont matter if the mods are installed anymore for those specifically because its stored in the save file itself

You need to use virtual keyboard mod (comes pre-installed with Android smapi) to add a button you can use
Console commands are different from keyboard inputs

Open the VirtualKeyboard folder in your mods folder and find the config.json for it. Change one of the key values to the keyboard button that you need
Then in your game you can tap the little semi-transparent button near the top to have your virtual keyboard buttons appear

@marsh wolf no unfortunately. There is no cross platform multiplayer, and the mobile version of the game doesn't have a multiplayer option at all. A mod to make it possible would be incredibly difficult.

@prime tapir there is newer unofficial update for childtonpc, you could try updating to that. for stardew aquarium you seem to be missing the content patcher portion of it
also you should probably change your nick so that it's pingable with a keyboard easily, it's in the rules

it's better to do it here. the mod probably comes with more than one folder and one of those folders contains the content patcher pack of the mod, so the likely culprit is that it isn't installed

looking at the file list of stardew aquarium, it has a folder named [CP] Stardew Aquarium, that seems to be what you're missing

if you are using the optional farm it has more debris including those that give hardwood
@shy orbit I redownloaded it and there is now a folder called [CP] Stardew Aquarium ! I donโt remember deleting it but its there now so yay. Hopefully it fixes it
and a bunch of regenerating stumps as well (unless they have been removed in recent versions, but i don't think so)

neither the SVE wiki or the nexusmods page says it changes the bundles at all... in fact it doesn't even mention bundles once, though i just quickly skimmed through it so i might be wrong.
i use other bundle changing mods with SVE and those haven't been a problem at least
SVE does not change bundles, but it will in 1.11 (it is a configuration, default is false).

Also, note that the main file is missing a top folder
so you'd need to stick the contents of the main file into a folder, you can call it [CP] Leyalluna's Portraits, as an example

and modpacks dont exist
Modpacks can be a thing if you use ModDrop o:

@royal arrow yea I found them but its still not realy pacifist
it seems there are still monsters you have to fight off
honestly the worst that could happen is you need to remove the mod, we recommend testing by loading your save, checking the content, then quitting before saving (and you can still back up your saves, as an extra measure)

ah, yea if you're looking to have monsters not attack you at all, I don't think that exists yet. Vanilla game has the slime charmer ring that stops slimes from attacking you, and Festival of the Mundane adds a mask that stops shadow people from attacking you

it does exist in the form of pacifist valley but I was also looking for alternatives
they try and attack you but nothing happens in pacifist valley and your swords turn into hearts when you download the mod
so basically its normal exept monsters cant do any damage
if you have a specific request for how you want it to work, that's where the mod ideas list comes in, otherwise they'll point you to pacifist valley ๐

Weird thing w tractor + SVE on android, sometimes if i hop off it and minimize stardew when i bring it back up my tractor goes bsck to thr garage

Maybe it has something to do with Android's mid-day save mechanics
I do remember seeing something somewhere about not leaving the tractor in new areas and leaving the map so i guess minimizing android is somehow like leaving the map
Yeah it's a little bit similar, but at least stays compatible in general because it's not completely bypassing save events like the Save Anywhere mod

Why is the mushroom cave so much bigger? I feel like ive explored this mod just about entirely, but the reason for thr giant mushroom cave eludes me

I hear that trees struck by lightning will start growing coal, is that the same for modded fruit trees?
@toxic pond perhaps if you set SeedPurchasePrice to the desired sell price, but then didn't make them purchasable through Json Assets, and instead used STF to add them to a shop at a different price?
