Does the enhanced relationships mod work as intended?
Another Q i am a new player and currently am just using aesthetic mods for the most part. Should i play all the way through and then download the extra dialogues/ Stardew extended? Or can i download those now
Depends on the mod.
Some of them it's better to download first, some of them you're fine waiting.
Some dialogue mods provide much needed expansion to characters, some characters have events that are time or event sensitive, however if you're new to the game it might be best playing first two years normally to at least have an understanding of what's canon.
If you mean Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE), the mod author recommends playing at least to year 3 before getting SVE, just so you get a good feel for what the characters and story are like before, well, expanding on those π

Still wondering about enhanced relationships mod cause it seems like people are saying the mod accidentally rewards not giving gifts.
The Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion mod, for example, is very beginner-friendly. It adds variety to dialogues without overwriting existing ones or straying at all far from what's established in canon.
Part of The Community mod? Yeah that one's a bit polarized for how much it affects gameplay. It's pretty configurable, so you can crank the increases way down like some people recommend
Oh no, I know that one just pretty much boosts friendship too fast. I'm talking the one where people get upset if you forget birthdays or don't give gifts.

Is it from Custom Furniture? If so, then yes, always at Robin's. If it's a replacer using Content Patcher, then it's random because it's just replacing vanilla furniture, and vanilla furniture is random
I like mods that potentially expands and prolongs the game, Longevity simply for taxes aspect seems nice.
Or something that makes winter appealing.
Because for the most part, I just sleep through most of winter miserable and that reminds me too much of my real life.
I like how I'm kind of more strapped for cash in the winter and it's a good time to upgrade tools, but I'm wondering what could make it less forgettable.
I know some PPJA mods add winter crops. There's also mods to add more fishies, and I think fishing is popular in winter?
I think Lucikiel might be the first custom NPC I've tried to talk to from day 1 and he was ready for me and even moved O: (began his schedule). I'm used to them needing 1-2 days to settle in

@strange acorn it sounds like you are probably missing part of the pasted-in bit. Make sure the filepath starts and ends with " and also has %command% at the end.
Can you share here exactly what you pasted into steam options?

Did your friend get this from their own smapi installation output, or did you just share yours? It's not likely to be the exact same on both computers.

Your friend needs to re-run the smapi installer on her own computer and use the text that it outputs for her computer, putting that in her Steam options. It might be different from yours.

When downloading NPC Map Locations for Stardew Valley Expanded, four seasonal maps for Immersive Farm 2 are already included
But further down the page there's also Stardew Valley Expanded with Immersive Farm 2 Remastered, which seems to be basically the same (same file names), just a little different coloring

@heavy sail if your referring to what i think you are you can have 2 seperate mod folders if you use mod drop and boot up either one

Go back to the Stardew Valley folder, and you should see StardewModdingAPI.exe, which is SMAPI.

every video i see all the trees are new etc, but when i run the game it all looks vanilla still? is that a texture pack or does stvexpanded actually retexture and im not doing it right?

@dire fractal did you happen to install IF2R when you added SVE by chance? IF2R changes the farm map a bunch and if Strawberry Fields is edited in on top of it, you might have got debris from both.
so stv expanded wont change textures by its self? ok
IF2R is optional for SVE, if you're using a different farm map you'll want to not use IF2R.

I personally combined SFR - foliage only and Starblue Valley, but the bushes look weird with that blue grass. I'm gonna fix that myself though.
Oh yeah, the foliage only version is a really nice option to combine with another world recolor. I did that for one save with a farm map that didn't have a compatible tileset

Yes, but some mods don't work on Android.

If not, it was built to be compatible with Android or isn't.

Welp, both SVE and NPC minimap thingy is working as it should be. There's a slight drop in FPS tho, especially when I'm zoomed out

hmm it's been awhile since i ran sve on my phone but i don't remember experiencing any slight lag in it
I never had this fps with the unmodded SV so it's very... Noticeable.
@wooden zodiac as mentioned earlier, entoarox framework doesn't work on android. spacecore should work. remove entoarox from your mod list and see if your smapi still generates an error

iirc i did the same thing and edited the monsterlimit to 10, i haven't experienced any lag issues with sve since then

You need a text or json editor, there's a couple apps on Android that let you edit json files

That includes improved Linux compatibility, minor bug fixes, and minor improvements. It was temporarily unreleased last week due to a false positive detection by Windows Defender, but Microsoft released a fix for that.

@keen silo just so you know, that fix has the right idea but 10 is way too low to be able to play the game in Crimson Badlands the way it was intended. I suggest settingMonsterLimitPerLocationto200.

Is it only the clothes that are desaturated, or like, all the things?
Do they look desaturated next to the NPC flower dance outfits? Or do they match those when worn?
the clothes are from a mod and the colours don't match the other clothes in the mod

@zinc smelt FeTK is used by Tool Upgrade Delivery Service. Pro-tip: in nexus mod description pages, there's a little Requirements tab that shows you both what the mod needs to work, but also what mods need the one you're looking at

Also I think you may have not installed your reshade properly?
Farmhouse Redone isn't compatible with Android, Natural Reshade wasn't installed properly, and the hair mods are XNB.
NR is Windows only.

Hey guys, still no way to auto-update mods ? Every time I have to manually delete, go to nexus, wait for the ads, dl, extract, paste, repeat. When you have a lot of mods and don't play very often it's quickly annoying π
I'm having trouble loading my save game, my original file deleted, so I went to SMAPI to recover my data from yesterday and then copied it to my appdata/roaming/stardewvalley/saves/ file, but the game still crashes. It gives me this error repeatedly: An error occured in the overridden draw loop: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Yea that mod changes his outfits but doesn't have walking sprites. I had to manually comment out the Gunther edits in SVO so he wouldn't do that

The converter is only for PPJA
The guide is really just looking at the PFM documentation and CFR and picking the equivalent field. Most are pretty self explanatory.

Navigating Nexus mods on a phone is tedious.
@zinc smelt it looks like the main error might be several different farm replacers, so CP doesn't know which one to load? I see IF2R, Farm Extended, and Solo Four Corners. Do you know if one of those was one you downloaded right before all the errors started happening? I'm not familiar with either of the last two, but you should only have one mod that replaces the farm per save to avoid that kind of error.

IF2R comes with SVE, so if you just downloaded SVE that would make sense

Solo four corners could probably coexist if it replaces four corners. SVE+IFR2 replaces Standard
If farm extended replaces standard that'd probably implode pretty π₯ -ey

it seems to be random cave music
so here's a weird bug i've been getting... the music that plays in my house is "a star is born" after i get up. it also plays in the actual farm itself if i try to change it using a jukebox, the jukebox makes the little music symbol indicating it was activated, but the music changes. what does change it, however, is leaving and re-entering the farm; it then resets to whatever season music was supposed to play normally. https://smapi.io/log/58a9ba6af0784a4d819aaf8f4d55e704

@shy orbit you have a number of CustomMusic packs; have you tested to see if one of those is the issue? Could try removing them all and, if that fixes it, try adding them back in a couple at a time to narrow it down.
The other one I would suggest testing is to try disabling Skip Intro and see if the issue still happens.

and the only thing i remember updating before this happened (i had few days of rain before this day, i guess it's possible that rainy days don't have the issue) was content patcher and jasper, but removing/downgrading them didn't make a difference. then i updated custom music but no difference either
okay, disabling all CM packs doesn't help
seems to happen only on the first save load, after sleeping i got the correct music on the morning, but when i loaded that save again (after relaunching the game) i got the cave music

Have you tried Crop Transplant Mod? It's on nexus. You'd have to tweak the config.json if you want to move fully grown trees

alright. so the game even on steam isn't made to be modded so there's no workshop for it or anything.
with either version you download SMAPI which is a modding.. framework? and it adds a mod folder to the game files. then you just drop any mods you download from Nexus in that folder. Basically
with steam you would then need to tell it to run the launcher instead of the base game to play, idk what you do with gog
im fairly new to sdv (just started last week on my phone) then planning to buy it on steam later

@shy orbit i've experienced this too, I sort of thought the automate for the modded machines got prioritized over regular automate (but it was just my guessing)

I came to that conclusion cause the cotton thing happened and then also I has "first" in line some honey to make mead and some durum for dark ale "second", and it took the durum first

Open your save file in any text editor - as long as the current name is uncommon you can just do a find and replace.
If your pet is named something that might be elsewhere in the game (like "Poppy" for example) you would need to be more careful about what you replaced
Rename is in fact a command added via A&S! I believe I gave it all the proper ability to rename your original pet as well (I did force this to happen for the original horse, and I believe the pet should work as well).

I had to patch the regrow stage of the sweet gem there because (as far as I know) the game needs the regrow stage to be to the right of the fully grown stage
for starfruit this is okay, because there is a blank space next to the fully grown stage where starfruits regrow can patch it in (which you can see, as I am using starfruits regrow also)
but sweet gem is right up against the cauliflower
maybe there is a way to tell the game to look elsewhere for the regrow patch, but idk

Hi all, I have a mod that uses JA to add some new eggs, but those eggs are not priced properly in game, they come up as the same price as a normal chicken egg, even the large version of the new egg is priced as a regular chicken egg. I've gone through all sorts of configs and changed things to see if i could fix it myself (or even just make any difference price wise on them) but nothing seems to be working, any tips for figuring out how to fix this?

@dire fractal Virtual Keyboard should be installed automatically by SMAPI Android (at least ZaneYork's version) and appear in the Mods folder. There isn't any official way to download it by itself, as far as I can tell.

If you go to the [JA] Quail Products folder, inside there's the Objects folder, and inside that one, folders for the quail egg and large quail egg. You can open their respective object.json files using any text editor (Notepad or Notepad++ work) and change the price to something higher o:
(by the by, I had a different issue with the quails, it was that I wanted to use Producer Framework Mod (PFM) instead of Artisan Valley to make the mayo)

The farm isn't required to use SVE, but if you want it, yes, grab it off of the SVE page
IFR2 from the SVE downloads is built for use with SVE.

The mod author linked somewhere a version in which you can't get lost, but it's not a simple config switch (for... Reasons?) so I usually don't go in there anyhow

That happens if they are using other mods that mess with the sleep time and pass out mechanics, but aren't designed to account for DeepWoods (or vice versa)
Oh, maybe in MP too, I'm not sure. Haven't had a farmhand pass out there yet in my games

Each flower has the bee house range overlay under it in blue/purple/yellow at 50% transparency I think when I made it
so yeah, overlaps -> diff colors. Scarecrow range would cover a little more height but there would be flower gaps
deep woods is really cool but yeah I think I should plan to always have a warp totem with me
I think ill start a vanilla save just for achievements cause it seems impossible with a lot of mods 
(Actually, the first level of Deep Woods is always so big I've never gotten in very deep, I just run around collecting wood and hay)

@deep elm when did this start, after updates? It might be worth trying deleting all the SVE and IFR2 directories, then reinstalling them.
For me it makes fishing easier but also lowers the rate you get experience (since that's a formula that takes difficulty into account)

Offhand I've got no idea. I'd still say dropping all the SVE+IFR2 directories and reinstalling them from scratch might be worth a try (in part due to TMXL Map Toolkit Failed to serialize: ForestWest). Just to verify it's a mod issue it might be worth hopping into a vanilla game (just manually launch normal stardew executable instead of smapi) and going to sleep in a new save.
and I guess just to get it out of the way as a question the hard drive this is on isn't like, 100% full, right? Be a weird error for being unable to write, but OOM issues are weird.
the usual list to try:
-verifying you're not using any XNB mods (they would have gone into Stardew Valley > Content instead of Stardew Valley > Mods, and if you used any, you'd need to reset your game files)
-update all mods that need updates, then try again
-try creating a new save, see if the issue occurs in a new save (if it doesn't, your other save might be borked. if it does occur on a new save, it's likely a mod)
-last resort: remove mods until the issue stops occurring (or the reverse, remove all mods, and add mods until the issue occurs) to determine which mod is the culprit
