Honestly I went a bit nuts with the mods once I figured out how to use them sooooo I may have to get rid of the furniture stuff and just keep one thing in. I suspect I have 2 overhaul interior things, I had 3 and figured out that one but

If it's two conflicting texture edits, it may be as simple as adding a dependency in the manifest of one so that it's guaranteed to load after the other

Those kind of mods are fine to take out!
They are only recoloring items that already exist, not adding new items, so there is zero risk
If you had a mod that added something new, like say a baby changing table as a furniture item (?), that would be the sort where you'd need to take precautions
(But even then, you can still uninstall safely so long as you trash all "baby changing table" furniture items first)
Problem is I dont know which ones replace and which ones add new so I'll probs just go through and delete everything in the house lol

@cedar flare I just saw now your issue with junimo-harvested crops turning into seeds.
My question for you:
Did you recently install or remove any mods that add JA items? Whenever your full set of modded items changes, JA is supposed to go around for you and update all the IDs for modded items that exist in your game. But I think the current version forgets to check items inside Junimo huts. So any changes to your JA modlist would have scrambled the harvested crops inside to become other items (in this case, seed packets).
When updating mods I just overwrite them in the folder right? Or do I remove and then put the new version in?

Just to avoid bad habits, is it best to just delete to be safe?
mods that add custom items you generally want to delete and install the new version; C# mods (frameworks etc) generally you should overwrite
if it says "delete old version" or "do not overwrite" or something along those lines, don't overwrite
if it doesn't add new items, has a config file that you have changed, and doesn't say anything about if you should overwrite, then overwriting is probably a good idea

Wouldn't be surprised if it were flagged, but always be careful on where you source your mods. Don't get mods from a shared google doc for example

Cool cool. Windows defender I don't have much experience with. I don't really like windows default anti-virus - if you're confident the source you used for SMAPI isn't compromised the logical conclusion is that Windows is being overzealous about SMAPI being potentially dangerous.
That being said SMAPI can change the behaviour of an existing program (StardewValley.exe) on launch of SMAPI which is pretty virusy

Just as in singleplayee, when the player eats or has a prompt, the game pauses, I would like to simulate that in multiplayer as I've found the cave extremely difficult without the pausing system

it's likely the type of a texture replacer where you're supposed to manually replace the original file with the given replacer
instead of putting the folder in the Mods folder
So what should I do?
the tractor mod folder has assets folder inside it, you'll need to replace the file there
with the file that the tractor recolors mod gives

The trojan report for SMAPI 3.6.2 from Windows Defender is most likely a false positive, but I submitted a false-detection report to Microsoft for analysis and temporarily unreleased SMAPI 3.6.2 to be sure.

@split nacelle the error means that the folder with the name [CP] Gwen's Medieval Craftables exists in the Mods folder, so you'll need to delete that folder

You can use them together by adding a dependency in the manifest, but the seasonal outfits of the sprites will not have matching outfits in the portraits @molten rivet

you could try dragging the [CP] Seasonal Villager Outfits folder to the Mods folder and if it asks you whether to replace stuff it should be working correctly
(assuming you already have seasonal villager outfits installed)

My bet is that you downloaded another one that added a crop that is the same as one of those. I use all of those crop mods, and about 15 others, and it's a thing I run into every once in a while. With your log I could probably help you find the root mod

twunk there are three items that are added by both Sakura's Cafe and Artisan Valley Machine Goods. That's probably not your only issue (my goodness so much red text) but that's the place to start-pick your favourites of each of those items, then go in and either delete or put a . in front of the folders for each of the items you don't want. You should end up with 3 folders less. Then give us a new log and we can work out some more

@thorny tusk these items should be in the JA folder of those mods. It's Croissant, Hot Cocoa, and Pumpkin Spice Latte-just pick one of each of those to keep and one to delete, don't delete the whole thing!

That's a thing you could do, but if you want to keep most of it, all you need to do is go into that JA folder and find those three items. Bet that fixes a lot of the errors ๐

Jett, your log says it isn't loading, so something's up there. Can you look inside the IF2R folder and see if there's a TMX folder? If not, you can delete and redownload it and see if that fixes your issue.

lyn, I still can't tell! Looks like it's a maps issue, probably deleting and redownloading SVE would fix it, but I'm not 100% sure of that
@thorn hinge I'm not sure what's up with the error in your log. I would suggest trying a reinstall of SVE and content patcher (completely remove and replace all SVE and IF2R related folders). If that doesn't fix it, report the issue and share a link to your log on the mod page for Content Patcher.
twunk, you'll need to delete all three of those-not just one. The problem is that two mods are trying to load all three of those items with the same name, so you just need to get rid of those and then everything that looks for that name will just use the one you didn't get rid of and the game won't freak out ๐

Ok twunk, there's a section at the top of your log with "Skipped Mods". If you look in there, you'll see that you need to do some things there. Some of your mods are missing stuff they need to work. Can you look there and download the mods you're missing?

You'll need that for those two files in the Seasonal Anime Portraits to work
@vernal cipher there's a setting in Better Fruit Trees that lets you plant them in "dangerous" places, which might work for you. I'm not really sure. There's also a tree transplant mod, where you can move any of the trees you have.

It might be safest to just delete everything in the PPJA and redownload it all together, and then just go into Artisan Valley inside your PPJA folder and delete those three items one more time to make sure you get all your stuff in there correctly

pretty much any text editor will work. I know a lot of the Windows peeps use Notepad++

@thorny tusk there are four other little messages in your log under the PPJA issues, and they will need looking at too. You need to download NPC Adventures for Steve's NPC Adventures to work, BFAV has an unofficial update you'll want to download, and you have two copies of Yandere Sebastian installed
So you'll need to delete one of those for that to work

They do have it split out and in a megapack on the Nexus website, so you can just try deleting every single part of it and redownloading it from the smaller splits like lara did

@fair vessel Bouncing the game fixed the bridge being fixed. Only actual thing with map file edits I have is SVE I believe.
Logs say nothing. There's a handful of things with busted/missing update keys (which are trivial things like a rainbow shell reskin) and a handful of frameworks that all updated too recently - giving them some bake-in time before I pull them down. Guess somewhere there's a bug that messes with the bridge and it doesn't have a reset condition but bouncing the game memory clears it.

Don't put the downloaded smapi folder into the Mods or game folder when you get it. Leave it somewhere like Desktop instead. Unzip it to e.g. Desktop and then go inside the unzipped folder and run the installer from there.

To get more technical, it's probably because they're both using Load
I wonder if the mods were instead using Edit, they might work together. But it'd require tinkering
if they don't both need to replace the whole tilesheet they could definitely coexist. Starblue seems to cheat a bunch (easier upkeep) and use overlay instead of edit and just use mostly-blank sheets.

Before I downloaded all the new NPCs, I had to load from title every time I loaded because custom chores didn't remember my preferences. It was a chore, but it never spawned red text-I knew cause I checked in normal and dev mode

@royal arrow The usual problem with just switching Loads to Edits without doing anything else is that all the mods in question are still replacing entire files. At best you're suppressing an error and letting one overwrite. I can't imagine a scenario where anyone would ever need to replace the entire Cursors file, so they should really be made into specific targeted edits or overlays. In this case I am guessing they were both minor edits anyway, like the dog mod probably just edits the little dog face in the menu.
(Overlays are the simplest for straight recolors that don't change the shape of the sprite, because you just delete everything else and CP will overlay the whole otherwise blank sheet on top of the original, so only your changes get made. Blessed overlays

Re:DeepWoods it's a "secret" entrance in the secret woods. You go to that lil area with just 2 stumps, and then derp around to the left in the void until you teleport to it

Have you learned the recipes yet? Unless you toggle the settings option, they'll only show up for the recipes you know

the reason they're set up the way they are, with that -unofficial bit, is so that if and when it does get updated, you are still notified that there's an update

manage mods manually and you don't have this problem lol
I don't want to encourage you to update the version number just because Teh's Fishing Overhaul is a special case (the mod author has been away for a while), because it's important to have that -unofficial bit there for other mods, so you're notified of the update. I get not wanting to look at the orange cloud though
i need help with setting up SVE my friend sent me her files for SVE but it wouldnโt work for me i think because i had files missing

i need an easter egg mod for the Flower Crown in one of the mods but vortex isnt letting me download the unofficial BFAV update, seeing this kills me

Yea custom NPC is not a simple project lol but it covers so many different aspects that it can be as complex or as simple as you want it to be
hmm possibly, but im not even that great with art either 
Also to be fair, you don't need to know coding to make mods, I certainly don't lol there's a lot you can do with existing frameworks in which someone else who knows coding did that part 
Then it's just a matter of learning the file/folder structure and syntax for the framework mod, or, you know, partnering with someone willing lol

Looking for the log, all I see is the text at the moment.
So there is no "SMAPI-crash" or "SMAPI-latest" file generated. Just a text doc with the save name.
I think that could be it, or maybe the path.
To me, it looks like something in the game's files are broken.
I don't see that "MorrisTod" character in the current folders, perhaps I'll comb through it a bit.

I was hoping to find some help here I'm new to playing modded Stardew. I was able to mod the game and get to day 11. I then added a few more mods and updated some properly. I then booted up the game played for a bit and made it to the end of day 11 when SMAPI crashed while updating. I have tried finding an answer but I haven't been successful yet. I've even gone as far as uninstalling the game and reinstalling with all the mods and the issue continues.

that isโฆ a lot of errors. Does the game run for you without mods? What did you add right before the crashes started? (I'm not sure what's going on, so I'm trying to suss out possibilities until the Experienced Folks can form opinions ๐ )
I'm guessing an uninstall/reinstall would've taken care of any corrupted game files ๐ค
So I booted up the base game and it seemed to work fine up until I went to sleep and then it crashed again
I have had a similar issue with "_newDayTask failed with an exception", but I probably can't help as I barely even have half of those mods 
and that's no mods at all? hmm

all i know is that theres an unofficial update for BFAV
I'm thinking right now that some of the mods screwed with the texture files and that's causing the crash so I'm going to reset the game files and see if I can still use those loads
Oh dear. Vanilla game and vanilla save crashing with no mods honestly suggests a much more significant problem
(This is without smapi running at all? On a completely new save? If so, might wanna go see #vanilla-tech-support about that ๐ฌ)
if you manually changed xmd files, you can just delete them, verifying it gets them back
Once vanilla things are working right again, we can resume looking into any mod issues
but yes if it's a software issue #vanilla-tech-support might be better

The completely new save is just for testing purposes. I'm not saying you should have to replay all those days in the game, it's just that we'd use a fresh save to make sure the base game is working properly before trying to deal with mod problems (that might be caused by base game issues)

I had forgotten the accompanying mod to this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3226 so the sprites and the portraits weren't matching plus the farm type manager needed an update.
I regret (only slightly) looking at the hornybachelors mod

@rigid kelp It looks like you need to have Romanceable Rasmodius mod installed in order to use the sprite from that mod, but I don't see Romanceable Rasmodius in your log.
Not sure if that's causing the whole issue, but it's something

that's your issue witchy, xnb mods are outdated and commonly cause issues like this. take a look at that first link and you might find a more up to date content patcher version of the mod!
Already on it. This is why I back up content files before replacing them in any modded game
oh custom music did get an update... I thought that said custom critters
yup that's good practice! as a general rule for SDV though avoid xnb mods since most of them are from long before major updates
