i thought it might be like a conflicting farm cave or map or smth but the log doesn't seem to have anything that would cause that and it looks like the farm cave loaded in the game to the title screen at least fine

I heard stardew valley expanded is good but i havent tried it myself
I recommend any/all of the following for gameplay and user interface: Stardew Valley Expanded (strongly suggest starting it with a new save and the IF2R farm map), DeepWoods mod, Automate, Tractor Mod, Seasonal Villager Outfits, Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion, Multiplayer Time if you're playing with other people, LookupAnything, UI info suite, NPC Map Locations, Fast Animations, Hold To Break Geodes, Public Access TV, Non-Destructive NPCs, Better Hay, Better Artisan Good Icons, Better Sort, Don't Eat That, and Combat Controls - Fixed Mouse Click.

For aesthetic, I like Stardew Foliage Redone (really pretty trees) and/or A Wittily Named Recolor, Better Water, Elle's New Coop Animals (and barn animals, and horses, and cats, and dogs)
climates of ferngill and dynamic night time are good for weather/day night cycle
Climates of Ferngill is an excellent weather mod and is recommended to be downloaded with SVE. Same with Dynamic Night Time.
Climates of Ferngill has some others you can optionally add to it as well. There's one with weather illnesses I remember

Lots of mods have incompatibilities with other mods. SVE changes a bunch of maps, so other mods that change the same maps are usually incompatible

but i have like ~200 mods including SVE and everything works fine, you just have to read instructions carefully and make sure ur not installing incompatible things

this is a conversation from a while ago, but in the core game, the Wizard has no schedule (caught me out a couple of times) so if you were to install Romanceable Rasmodius with SVE you would set up a conflict (I would imagine they both load schedules) and have to do some mod coding to fix.
if you load one save, exit to desk top, then load another save, will this influence things like heart level with characters in CP conditions? Because Shane and I are really good friends in my main save, but he was extremely rude to me. I'd just tried to load something with a new save to test part of my mod, exited to desktop, and started the current main save.

Guys I have a problemo. Some mod has broken the community centre for me. I've recently finished it, and for the first few days everything was normal - joja mart was destroyed and everything was fine. Cut to the next day or so, suddenly the outside of the community centre looks broken again, and Joja mart is fixed?

@gloomy tree Hi I'm taking a look at your log. One thing that stands out is you have a mod that modifies Sandra's dialog (the Dialogue.json) and there's an issue on line 33, position 2 (related to spring_Sat2). There's also a warning about the gift tastes for Sandra being "bad," so they may be formatted incorrectly. These issues are not likely to be causing the crash, but they're worth fixing anyway (or at least letting the mod author know, if they don't already know).
Additionally, there's messages towards the bottom of your log about Farm Type Manager, which could be about the [FTM] PPJA Forage Pack not being loaded due to a missing manifest.json (although it could also just be formatted incorrectly). This could be why it's crashing? Try reinstalling that mod, and if it's still giving you an error, we can take a look at the manifest.json for it.
I'm not sure about the Shop Tile Framework messages at the very end though (for characters from Boarding House, I think?). Those could also be causing the crash.

Smapi is not like other mods, after you install it then it's ready, nothing needs to go into Mods

Alright cool! @junior verge you know how now to install any mod you want! Just be aware that some mods are really broken on mobile, so you have to be careful. I use a lot of mods so if you have questions about any particular mod you can ask and if I know about its mobile compatibility I'll let you know.

Hello, I downloaded SVE and a farm building retexture for it today on top of some mods I'd been using for many hours in Stardew. It was working fine at first (except for some broken textures strangely, even though I followed directions) but just now went into a forever "Loading..." screen when I think I walked into an event. Have I done something wrong?

@fair vessel I don't really know what event is was going to be. It's Spring 5 and my farmer walked from the farm to the Cindersap Forest. A cutscene started where I heard someone scream to the southwest and my farmer walked off into oblivion(?) which was when I got the forever loading screen.

I figured out what was breaking my textures and Dusty's house. I had a "Less Vibrant Dirt" mod still installed from before I installed SVE. After replacing the vanilla maps from backup, things looked as they should. Thanks for listening to my pleas for help! o/

So I'm running SMAPI on Ubuntu and at the very top of the command line when I run SDV, it says
ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/fluxius/.steam/debian-installation/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.
the game runs after that just fine
but i was wondering if that will make something bad happen later
..i have no idea

apparently that's some kind of conflict with 32-bit vs 64-bit programs/libraries...could be related to monogame or just some random mod being built for 64-bit, hard to say
(so yeah, just try and see for now, but that's apparently the type of issue it is)

Whoops, just realized, that's about the Steam overlay itself. From a linux wiki result:
you can safely ignore it. It is not really any error: Steam includes both 64- and 32-bit versions of some libraries and only one version will load successfully. This "error" is displayed even when Steam (and the in-game overlay) is working perfectly.

I'm running the Deep Woods mod on Ubuntu
All other mods are disabled and there are warnings saying
libpngwarning: iCCP: known incorrect SRGB profile
repeated 3 times at the end of the command line
with other mods such as PPJA Artisan Valley, this warning gets repeated even more
I recommend making a bug report
KenSasaki mentioned the latest update (for DeepWoods*) is causing issues for multiple people
That error occurs with other mods too

that's a warning about the color settings used in a PNG file somewhere, but afaik things should still work normally, so yeah

it's also possible to get rid of those warnings if you want, by removing the color profiles or whatever they are from the images with pngcrush for example (i do it so the console doesn't get flooded with the warnings, and it has never caused any trouble that i know of at least)

I'm not 100% sure if each Luau item has its own rating but most likely custom objects would be category-point based since there isn't a way to specify a specific rating value.
Hey guys, I'm having an issue where I'm using Minerva's bigger farmhouses and I upgraded my house to the final stage and items that were in my attic are now in the void. I probably should've removed them before upgrading but I forgot. Anyway to remove them from there?

That's strange Kalexiva, since people were using that mod to be able to move crops from greenhouses when they ended up in the void (switching greenhouse mods, etc.)

They just disappear, I used the pickaxe and it's basically destroyed

Using any tools just deletes them, and right clicking doesn't work.
Thankfully with the carry chest mod i can pick up my chest no problem

Why shouldn't you use mods where you replace xnb's? like Ohdavi's Anime Portraits?
I've heard they cause bugs, but also if your game is set to update automatically your mods will get removed.
So it's a use at your own risk type of thing.

can i have help modding stardew valley on an amazon fire hd 8? Ive tried over 30+ hours and the smapi installs but when i try to start the game it just sits on the loading screen. I know how to install mods and all that so don't worry. I just cant get smapi to work. The installer works. But smapi itself just doesnt

i deleted the old saves and opened it, it crashed, so i made another copy of the one where theres both and deleted the ones that didnt say old and opened it and it still crashed
After you deleted the ones that didn't say old, did you rename the ones that did say old to remove "_old", before trying to load the save?

Sometimes even after you update all your mods, it'll still think you're not updated. That's because the mod author didn't update the version number on their mod's manifest.json file. If you know you downloaded the latest file, you're good there

But yea meredith, resetting your game files is the nuclear option after you've already exhausted everything else: updated mods, tested to see if a particular mod was doing it, etc.
Quick thing you can try: can you start a new game and see if that crashes too?

i did exit to title and start a new save, and yeah there are two shane sprites, theres only one if i look at the villager list but i can talk to the two sprites
well I had a similar issue yesterday when exiting to title, I had Shane be really rude to me despite us being pretty good friernds, so I think it's an issue with how "Hearts:<Character>": is calculated. The other issue is much weirder... they were both Shane when you talked to them?

Done that, but still cant. I got the issue similar with someone that posted in Boarding House mod thread. "Sacred Shoes"cant be removed. Those item changed it form everday @ashen elbow
honestly, I've no idea why the duplicate Shane, but the other issue I think is a limitation of Content Patcher's default tokens and you can't fix it - but I Think saving the day might reset the heart level? I didn't try that because I had to restart for other reasons. It only happens when you start with one save than switch to another I'm guessing, so you just don't do that, you'll be fine.

and I don't think there's a separate volume setting in that framework, unfortunately (sound mods are a bit limited due to XNA stuff)

Ye there’s another bug but it won’t break your game or anything and it’s a small fix. Which means Nexus will probably eat the update.

Aslong you are here at the moment, in svo sve version, is it normal that there are missiong some seasons from some characters? marlon as example, we see a fall outfit but ingame its the normal marlon on fall, on the cuter version there is all here and on the older version there is a fall marlon too?

Does anyone know if there's a mod that restricts where a dig spot or fishing hot spot can spawn? I've encountered a dig spot outside of the area a player can go on a vanilla game.. same with fishing, they're either too far or at an angle I can't cast.

That is really bizarre. I suspect the changing resolutions is key to it. The errors being spewed are graphics related. Maybe launching through Steam opens a window that then changes resolution.

From what I've seen, that usually happens when you have graphics software changing the window. You said you'd already disabled RivaTuner and Afterburner; do you have any other graphics software? Do you have multiple graphics cards?
@keen moss it seems to be from the garden village mod replacement files, it's reported to the author of that mod

@tired brook I am not sure if NZXT CAM counts, but I have that running. And Geforce Xtreme gaming engine. I am not running SLI, NVLink or Crossfire.
Not sure about NZXT CAM, but GeForce Xtreme could do it. Does it still happen if you temporarily disable both?

We got new JA packs, our placed PFM/JA machines got all messed up, some became statues etc but others still worked but their sprites were wrong and often rapidly cycling between various wrong sprites, and when we tried to remove a functional-but-wrong-sprites machine the game crashed.
JA doesn't patch that function
so would this be a PFM bug?
I'm not familiar with PFM's code
a machine turned into a goat statue, another one became a chicken statue, and another one became a potted plant
PFM doesn't patch that function either? 
they were custom machines, aka JA bigcraftables with PFM-added rules

@naive drum I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure one of the ways JA works is by creating IDs for the items it adds when you load your game. It's supposed to not do this, but maybe adding the new mods changed your IDs? So your game is trying to refer to IDs that aren't true anymore. Unfortunately I'm not sure there's a good fix for it, have you saved since it happened?

i haven't experienced machines changing to something else when i add new ja crops but several times i experienced having the products from the kegs/preserve jars changed.
@halcyon forge Can you replace your Stardew Valley.exe with the one I sent you, try it again with SMAPI, and post a new log?
@tired brook its working perfectly now. Launches right up and I can change resolution without an issue
Yeah, that's what I thought it was. The game handles window resize in an unsafe way which can happen mid-draw. I'm not sure what's causing your window to resize, but basically I fixed the bug in the game code. You can keep using that build for now, and I'll report it to the game developers to hopefully fix in the next update.

I'm having issues with Better Farm Animal Variety (BFAV) and the Regular Goose mod. I get this error in my SMAPI log when I try to purchase a goose from Marnie. The first time the error happened, it ended up freezing up my game and Windows said SMAPI wasn't responding.
