@fast river The fun-looking StardewModdingAPI.Proxies.From<Platonymous.CustomMusic_CustomMusic.IGMCMAPI>_To<spacechase0.GenericModConfigMenu_GenericModConfigMenu.Api> class is the class generated by SMAPI which wraps the GMCM API for Custom Music to use. For some reason the type can't be loaded, but the error doesn't say why.
So no clue on how to fix it?
Not off-hand. It might be a compatibility issue with Android; have you seen other players use Custom Music + GMCM together successfully on Android?

Automate works very well but it ranks pretty high on the cheaty scale. It can shorten the game a fair amount if used on massive scales. But technically it works great.

Mine floors are randomized. So you can't set anything up like that, since it'll be different the next time you generate the floor. And the elevators only go to every 5 floors anyway.

@keen mirage If you start the game with SMAPI installed, it will give you the folder path to your mods folder in the console (and thus show up in your SMAPI log as well)!

(The Mods folder depends on the game installation folder, so it's entirely possible to have it installed somewhere besides the default path, too.)
(Your SMAPI log will always say exactly where it is looking for Mods, even when you tell it to look somewhere else with additional mods folders :) )

I have three different active folders I use for playing/testing mods to keep them all separate. Updating Smapi causes issues... is there a way to change the path when updating Smapi so I can update all three consecutively rather than cut and pasting from one to the other two?

@elder flame okay so it's looking like a problem with Json Assets. There are several error messages sent up by that mod for different reasons, you'll want to look into each of them probably
You've got something called "Shirts Pack" for JA, and another one called "Plus Shirts Pack" that is adding duplicate items. I suggest deleting one of those mods
i know this and i've tried updating them to no avail, no one else seems to have issues, is it something to do with the garden village mod?

(also unrelated, you have a conflict between Peachy Objects and Antique Dolls - these mods aren't set up to be compatible with one another. Choose one)
Same for Yuriyuri's Hairstyles and New and Improved Hairstyles - pick one.
Also there's one JA mod that isn't set up correctly and that might be causing issues. I don't know what it's called, but it's the one that adds these items:
Black dress shoes
Blue sneakers
Red rubber boots
White dress shoes
Yellow rubber boots
I think I know which mod it is but im unsure of how to remove those specific items

Antique dolls could prob be coded to just replace the dolls instead of loading entire springobjects.
If you know what mod it is, I'd suggest removing that mod and see if that fixes it.

Other option would be find the duplicate items and change their names.
The garden village ships def adds those listed items so I'd look there first. They might have included a pack u already have

I'm having a problem where sometimes my CPU usage will jump up well over 100% even when paused (i.e., with inventory open) until I restart the game. I haven't figured out what the trigger is, but it seems pretty random. Any ideas how I should go about getting the information that I do have (e.g., process samples, SMAPI log file) to someone who might be interested in trying to figure out what's going wrong?

I'm pretty sure that's the culprit, since in one game where I'd kept playing until the CPU usage was more like 300-400% there were 4 such threads.
That's a pretty modest mod list. Nothing too crazy. How powerful is your computer? There is an area of SVE that is known to cause excruciating lag on some systems due to a whole bunch of monster spawns and their path determination. I think there's a way to edit a value in the config to limit the number of monster spawns to correct the issue. Maybe that will help in your case.
It's a "Mac mini (Late 2014)" model with a Core i7... not exactly a speed demon, but not horrible, either. Are monster spawns relevant if everywhere I've been this game day was on the farm? (house, coop, farm)
Aha, I found it. It's the config file in Farm Type Manager. "Monster Limit Per Location" Change it from null to something like 200?

@slim jay normally yes.
But for SVE, the update from 1.10.7 to 1.10.8 only makes changes to SVE files, not IF2R. So if you have IF2R 1.10.7 you can just ignore the update message (or change the manifest file). It's just from a complication of hosting the two files on the same Nexus page that makes it impossible to update one at a time without triggering "out of date" warning for both.
Literally no harm in doing the update anyway, but it doesn't actually change anything is all.
Well if you donโt want to be constantly bugged for the update are youโre updating other things anyways, might as well just do it

I found the root of the CPU usage problem. It's triggered by the sound that UI Info Suite attempts to play on level-up, and can be avoided by turning off the "show level up animation" option. Possibly has something to do with mono not implementing System.media.SoundPlayer. (and the mod doesn't seem to be using it quite right, but not in a way that should hurt anything)

DeepWoods is a nice one that adds more endgame content. It can be a bit buggy sometimes with farmhands getting into the dungeon area on their own, but if the players go there all together it works very smoothly in my experience. @solar crescent

*Sigh* I was trying to help someone with mod support on another platform and it got really discouraging. They were trying to load mods on Android and they got smapi running okay but weren't able to get their mod folders into the right folder somehow... I did everything I could but no luck with walking them through it. Worst thing was they gave up but somehow managed to move or delete their savefile (not corrupt, delete, they never actually got any mods running) and lost access to 8y of in-game progress.

You can change the color of dyeable items two ways: you can use a single coloured item to move the color more towards that item's colour. Do it multiple times for a deeper shade, like dyes work IRL
How do you access all thay in vanilla? Is there an event?
Or you can use an item of every color (ROYGBV) and get custom sliders to pick the exact color you want for stuff
You get access to it through Emily. I think through friendship or once you acquire an item of cloth the first time. Then you can use the sewing machine and dye pots in her house.

I'm trying to get SVE and 2 other mods. but when i load SV it only loads console commands and savebackup. but no other mods. even though they are (hopefully) correctly put into the mod folder.

If you see something like PlayerName_5284827326 that is a savefile
its not in that folder. and i think this is a copy of the game. i'll go check the other drive. this one mostly has shortcuts.

Dragon Quest Monsters changes several monsters' appearances, but I'm not really familiar with any others offhand
(and SVE adds some monsters with new skins via FTM, but I don't think it changes any of the original ones, so not quite the same thing)

You could also try to remove UI Info Suite. It's possible that the two mods are trying to use the same stuff.
The stacktrace suggests some config issue, I'm not sure why that'd mess up

Easyest way should be, install all mods u want, pack your mod folder to zip and share it with the ppl u play in mp. only thing they need to do is instal smapi and extract your modolfer

Yes it's a mod. I mean you could probably just keep a diary in text editor but in game is more immersive. Very useful because Jaspers gone off in his quest and I need to keep tabs of when to get worried. Then decide which other chars should talk about it and load that into Town Gossip.
Its good for taking notes of things roo. Esp when you spend so much time creating mods you might forget about playing them!
That's what I was thinking of using it for. Instead of having sticky note reminders all over my desk.

I'm having trouble with the Seed Bag mod...
Last night I got some help with my mods but it didn't change much, I don't want to remove the shoes listed in the log because its part of a mod (Garden Village) I'd like to keep and it'll just give me more errors once they're removed. I'm STILL getting the issue of "error items" or items with no picture or no name.
ANOTHER issue I have is that I have no clue why the log says underdark sewer needs an update, because I have the most recent version and I believe it was updated recently.
I also believe the missing tilesheet is for sundrop and it doesn't seem to have an update so I'll have to wait
Some furniture seems to not have sprites so I need to find what's causing that.
I'm also unsure if my PPJA mods are working because they're not in CJB Item Spawner, is this normal?

I WILL be updating the mods that need updating now, but when I update certain mods they don't seem to go away and I'm assuming it's because it's either an unofficial update or an alternative option for the mod.

I definitely didn't remove. I think one of the fish that are invisible are possibly a SVE fish which is weird

it's only a couple of items that are doing it. but when i plant mixed seeds (i have better mixed seeds, which allows for pretty much all seeds) it grows random invisible crops sometimes and when i harvest it says error item
it had a picture when it happened though
it was a "herb item"
the invisible fish i think is something else.
it's a bit frustrating, i'll continue my game and hope the game doesn't break completely.

Is there anyone who wants to beta a Program for Stardew Valley Ive been working on. Its a Calculator and Calendar, You choose the crop and amount then it tells you when the harvests are and the profits/expenses. It is in a very early beta and only has one calendar for Non speed-grow and non direct sell, with a calculator under the same idea. Crop Qualities and luck will be counted in later updates to it, as they are not implemented yet. @ me or message me if your interested.

you can always make your own FTM pack for hardwood

Sure, they're all different files in the Maps folder, so even if the mod replaces standard, you can adjust it to replace a different one by name instead, by editing the Target line. Others may already target specific farms that aren't standard, or may come with a config (it would only generate after running the game once with the mod installed) that lets you choose the farm to override.

To adjust a standard replacing farm to a forest replacing farm, for example, you would just change the line "Target": "Maps/Farm" to "Target": "Maps/Farm_Foraging"

I'm having trouble with the SVE mod. I reached out to the modder, but they suggested it was in-game menu problem, not a mod issue and to verify my files. I did that (and all my mods are up to date), and I'm still having crashing issues and gameplay problems.

is save anywhere known to have problems with sve?
or with other mods in the log of course
i read somethign thaht there CAN be problems in the expand areas from imersive farm 2 cause the area is rly big.
had it earlyer today that my pets run in a expended area and didnt find back to there barn
maybe delete this mod and try again
The only gameplay issue I've experienced in the expanded areas so far is movement freezing. You pick up a collectable and the pathway of the animation stays visible.
Immersive Farm 2 Remastered has an animal field with animal-proof entrances. Best place to put barns/coops
it is my first gameplay and i dint know this x) i switched now the map cause the map wasnt the right 1 for me
@full pine i'm always suspicious of save anywhere, and if you don't find other answers i'd suggest removing it and seeing if it helps (don't know if you need to do anything special when removing it)

@mossy oak sorry, i missed the message where you said you were on mac. it could be possible that the smapi fix relies on a newer mono version of course, so if updating smapi doesn't fix it you could check if mono is up to date too
