I did that as well, and i made it spawn a lot of them and still nothing
Huh..
i can see two things that you can try to do
first is doing a reset of vanilla files to ensure that if you used xnb mod in the past they aren't causing issue
Second is creating a mod group containing only a limited number of mod (like console command and the more artifact mod) and test with that to see if the issue is still here
like, renaming your current mods folder to mods2 and creating a mods folder with only console command and more artifact
Fun fact, if you've got the happy birthday mod, it letw tou select an artifact spot

Ok so I did a new save with no mods except cheats and increased artifacts spot and they did appear
Then I installed the map recolor Stardew Foliage Redone and they show up as well
oof i have a shit load of mods ;-;
in this case, add the half of them, see if the issue happen
if no, add half of the other half
until you see what mod is causing this
Another way is adding them 5 by 5, which is what I've done when I had similar trouble tracking down what mods were causing the issue.

ok so i added a few more mods and now they are not spawning
This question probably seems kinda dumb but I'm having a lot of trouble with it. I recently downloaded the latest version of Stardew Valley Expanded (I followed the installation instructions properly, deleting all of the old SDVE files I had earlier before downloading the news ones in my mods folder) but whenever I open the game I can't find Victor and Olivia's house anywhere. Every other SDVE-specific NPC shows up along with their homes, but not Victor and Olivia.
Apparently I installed a mod called "Harvey Dialogue 1.0.0" by someone named "degi" but I don't remember ever installing or downloading a mod like that and whenever I try to search up the folder on my pc, I can't find it anywhere. I guess I might just have to delete all my mods and reinstall SDVE again, but I'm just posting it here to see if anyone else has the same issue or something...I just don't know where this "Harvey Dialogue" mod is anywhere!

Even though it's labelled as a dialogue mod, for some reason it conflicts with SDVE when trying to load maps for the town, hence why I can't find or see Victor or Olivia anywhere in-game

the default folder name for that mod is "[CP] Harvey Dialogue Expansion"

I'm curious if anyone has like an actual link to this harvey mod? I kinda just want to see it in person to really confirm whether I not I actually downloaded it myself or if it was somehow a mod that was accidentally placed inside another of my other mods' folders...

Yeah it's fine. I just don't know what to do or how to even find this so-called mod inside my folders, and it's weird that SMAPI says I have it even though I can't find it at all... I can't really think of anything besides deleting all my other mods and reinstalling SDVE again maybe?

It does seemingly get loaded in the SMAPI window, and when I try to read through the script in stuff that shows up it mentions my Child to NPC mods being involved with it somehow... For now, I'm going to try and delete all of that mod in particular along with any others associated with it

It's so annoying, SDVE had been working just fine for me 1 or 2 weeks ago but all of a sudden the maps in SDVE seem to be conflicting with this mod I literally don't even remember installing (I've never downloaded any Harvey-specific mods with the exception of general ones like seasonal villager outfits and etc.) this mod yet here I am with a thorn in my side
@split patrol the cursors for the dig spots would be 4 items near the top of the cursors file. I'd also recommend checking the content.json and seeing if there's anything there saying it's replacing the dig spots.
It's possible there's something in the content.json replacing the dig spots even though the cursors file doesn't have an icon for it, which may be what's causing them to not show up: it's replacing the dig spot icon with nothing
i don't think it would be related to childtonpc mods based on the content patcher error message, it just lists valid values

actually i found my problem welp
So long story short I forgot I'm using a different version of that mod because it's missing buttons for 1.4, as well that I had a major issue where for some reason in winter time it lagged down my game a LOT, it took like 5-10 seconds to enter buildings where before it was instantaneous

yeah so it turns out back when i was downloading some furniture mods on naver that apparently the creator for one of them accidentally added another one of their mods to this one folder and that one just so happened to edit dialogue for harvey in particular
the reason why i couldn't find it when searching it up was because the folder's name was in korean hangul(?) but yeah!

@ember crane unfortunately, I'm not sure what's causing your issue. My initial thought it might be that you need artisan valley, because I saw in your log one of your mods didn't load because it needed it, but I don't think that's the cause. Do you and your son have the exact same set of mods?
I'm just gonna go with the vintage interface, the dig spots are pretty cute actually and easy to see

I'm always looking at the wiki. I am really into decorating and making my farm look nice so I like mods that make the game look better, I've been looking for some more good ones
I have the seasonal villager outfits, seasonal farm buildings, and better/updated animals already and I'm really enjoying them

Nice! As far as UI/QOL mods I’d definitely recommend UI info suite and “lookup anything”, but that really depends on your threshold and definition for “cheaty”

It adds a bunch of underlying visualizations and helpful info access. Shows sprinkler and scarecrow coverage when placing them, time to harvest/time be ready for production items. XP gained as a discreet pop up and progression indicator

internally, SDV runs on times from 600 (6:00am) to 2600 (2:00am, when the game forces you to pass out)
which part
those times are things like "6 - 2" for 6am -> 2am, i.e. the entire day
otherwise they're just 24-hour times

@ashen elbow finally got it to work! I disabled all myods, restarted my phone Uninstalled and re installed the galaxy store and then hit the big install button again 😂 I'm not sure what made it go but it's going
so i have a map i want to use for the four corners map, but its not showing up in game, and i cant find an error in the smapi log
ive tried different maps but nothing works except for maps that override the standard map, but the maps i want dont allow for configuration so i cant make them replace the standard instead of whatever theyre supposed to

usually custom maps only work on the standard farm
you can change which farm your game save is in your save folder
these custom maps specifically say theyre replacing a different farm map tho
maybe try changing your save to standard farm to see if it fixes it?

hey is there a mod that creates kind of a auction house where you can buy and sell stuff from a network of players?
i don't think so
there are no dedicated servers to multiplayer in sdv
so... i don't think that there can be a trading hub mod for players to use
I don't see how that would even work, since games aren't stored on a single server, but on your own computer.
So there's no way to actually link anyone up to be able to trade.

doing exactly what u said didnt help but it did give me ideas on how to fix the issues
it turns out the map i was trying to use didnt have a "when" command, so it just said "replace X with Y" instead of "replace X with Y when Z"
adding on to what the others are saying, its extremely easy to spawn items in game with something like CJB Item Spawner. So... really, there's no point in buying from other players if you really need something when that mod can just spawn it for you
yeah that's true; personally don't want to spawn items in my game, and a market would make it more "fair" in my eyes

basically you're mssing spring_daisyextras.png
so one way to fix this is to recover the missing file (if u have a backup) or to install a new copy

they were in a folder that wasnt in the assets folder of this mod

Does anyone know how to force an event to play?
the initiation quest event when you enter the guild (after killing the 10 slimes). This FUCKING NPC adventures mod cocked the whole thing up and if I can't figure out how to force the event to play, I'm going to have to trash this entire goddamn save file.
Find the event number for the one you need to see and enter into the smapi cobsole: debug ebi <event id>
Replacing the <event id> with the actual number.
How do I figure out which event number I need?

That would make sense. It's older. For some reason by other phone is giving ne a different outcome then the phone I actually use. It's weird.

Hi I have a question about SVE. Can I enter to adventurer's guild before I became a guildMember? I have access to adventurer's guild before 10 slimes quest completed and it's weird, because in vanilla SDV I can't access adventurer's guild before I complete this quest.
In SVE it is changed this rule?

I got a savefile form somebody who has a problems with triggering NPC Adventures event and with SVE event in adventurer's guild and the savefile looks weird.
I found flag guildMember in received mail in the savefile and I removed it and I still have an access to guild
Cool, found it. Hmm, The way the game checks for access to the adventurer's guild is through a check of tileindex 1136 being clicked on - and then it disallows access if you both don't have the mail and don't have the quest.
From what I see in the SVE map the tileindex is still 1136, so the code should still be triggered

Weh I enter to guilda nd I am not guild member, something in game set me as a guild member and the slime quest is still in my log (I have 5/10 slimes killed).
If you are a guild member or the quest is currently active it should let you in
The wiki says the quest must be finished first but from what I can tell in the game code it'll let you in even if not completed
yes, but if I am not guild member and I have still this quest active and I enter adventurer's guiuild before I com,plete it I become guild member after I try to enter and enter to the guild is sucessfull. And I have the slime initiation quest still active. It's a miracle.
I found the part in the game code that does that - you do indeed become a guild member whenever you enter the adventurer guild if you don't have it (without removing the in progress quest or anything)

If I play vanilla and I have initiation quest in progress (not killed alll slimes) and I try to enter the guild, my enter was rejected with the paper I am not a guild member. But in SVE not.

SVE moves it to the Town so they never run
Which means you can enter the guild as long as it's during open hours regardless of guild member/quest process because it's in the town

i think it means that you can look at there what changes were made to the mod files and so figure out the changes that way. it's probably not that convenient as a changelog

Hi, I'm a mobile player and first time installing a mod. Does the Seasonal Outfit works with different portraits? Say, I install SVO and Baechu on top of that, it should work bc it's designed to be compatible, right? But if I want NongDarn bachelors' portrait and Baechu's other villagers' portrait, is it going to work?
@reef hare it would only work if you manually drop the portraits into each character’s folder in SVO but idk if the bachelors portraits you want are also seasonal. And SVO is set up to load the portraits seasonally. You could have 4 copies of the same portrait in the folder and rename them with spring/fall/etc according to how they’re named in SVO and it should work

you have to marry them to get 14 heart events

The 1FPS-thing seems like you may have a ton of errors piling up.
