It is highly discouraged to replace any files in your \Contents folder. Instead, you should convert XNB mods to Content Patcher mods.

No update that I can see (except an old, unofficial update on the chucklefish forums, but I'm like 98% certain it's impossible to create an account there to download files from there anyway), and, just from pre-viewing the files, I'd wager it'd be a difficult job for a beginner (judging by .dll files)

one thing you need to do if you use Rustic Country Town Interior with SVE, is remove that table and whatever the other thing is from z_extras, they overlap with character sprites
as for the floor, the fish wallpapers are from townInterior (the wooden log is Rusty's wooden stool, my bad)
I'm thinking Clear Glasses, simply because it's throwing a warning for Cursors and Scarlett WARN Clear Glasses [CheckIsDataChanged] Encountered mismatched size for texture "LooseSprites\Cursors". ok. This is probably an easy case of 'have another mod apply to something I don't want it to' but I can't figure out which one it is.
When I throw something into the shipping bin, the default animation plays. The issue persists with any shipping bin changed via AT, so it might just be an AT issue.
The shipping bin setting from VPR is disabled, so it can't/shouldn't be it.

Is it possible to setup "profiles" for mods? My wife only plays vanilla, while I play with mods. We want to play together just slightly modded as opposed to my 30+, so wanted to see the easiest way to do so.
you could go into your files and make a "Backup Mods" folder or something, and move your mods back and forth when you play

nvm I fixed it, for some reason it didn't like them all in one folder even though I was just organizing by modpack
like for SVE portraits you replace them in SVE

It seems to be related to the smaller fish ponds mod? I could remove it, but it would mess up my farm pretty badly if the fish ponds suddenly went big.

OK, it seems Smaller Fish Ponds is indeed the culprit after checking bug reports on Nexus, I'll downgrade to the previous version of it for now. Hopefully that will save my ponds lol

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

I've made a new folder for 1.5.6 and copied the files from the beta version into along with a fresh install of the old SMAPI to the folder but it's not loading my mods because it says they need to be updated, how do I stop this

Move all your mods into a mod quarantine except those your save needs to run (frameworks, custom farm maps, etc)
Sorry, I can't see anything that should cause this issue either... you may have to try the 50/50 as well
Launch the game and see if the bug is there. If it isn't, add back in half your mods
Relaunch, see if the bug is there. If it is, remove half the mods you just added in and repeat. If it isn't, add in half the mods that remain in quarantine
Repeat until you've narrowed down the mod causing the bug

Hi, I'm back from last night. Here's my previous message!
to answer some questions: by non-SMAPI bundled mods, I'm referring to any mods that don't come with SMAPI. Two mods are currently bundled with SMAPI, and are applied upon installing SMAPI -- those are the Console Commands and Save Backup mods. by non-bundled, I'm basically referring to any other mod that can be downloaded and applied. Those two mods -- the Console Commands and Save Backup mods -- work fine. SMAPI says they load properly. SMAPI says that it found "1 mod with warning", which I assume is referring to my only other mod (NPC Map Locations). I'm working on downloading my log and will do that shortly.
using a mod that adds custom furniture, its all really cute but some of them have weirdly oversized collision boxes. is there a way for me to go into the code and change that?

Anyway it seems like the only mods you have installed are the ones bundled with SMAPI. You need to put the mods you want in here: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods

Daryl that's just a thing that happens sometimes. Stardew can use either the Steam or GoG Galaxy servers for multiplayer

it can be renamed and it then still can be opened with smapi but it requires setup

Check your config for Socializing Skill and Better Friendship. I think Socializing Skill changes the interaction menu, iirc.

The warnings are for all kinds of mods, usually because a patch can't be applied due to a mod coding error.
You do have a few game errors though - PolyamorySweet and Ferngill Economy
(check spacecore)
Polyamory said that its because my spouse doesn't have a coded room. Which I don't have a spouse. She won't apply a fix. And ferngill just started that and I'm not sure why. First time it's popped.

OneDrive loves to automatically sync a bunch of folders including the Desktop and sometimes it can be a pain to stop the sync and put everything back in the proper place. I spend an hour fixing this exact problem for 2 friends that also had their stuff on the Desktop

Vortex isn't recommended for Stardew Valley.
It's hard to troubleshoot and often causes issues like SMAPI/mods not being installed or updated correctly, files mysteriously disappearing, crashes, etc. Volunteers here often can't help with Vortex issues.
Some options:
- Install mods directly (which is easy and safe in Stardew Valley!).
- Or use Stardrop, a mod manager specifically designed for Stardew Valley.
- Or get help with Vortex in the Nexus Discord or Vortex support forums.
But some people are using it fine, so I digress

I fixed the issue and now able to run SMAPI and mods. Here are some things to try if you are also running the game on Linux but ran into similar issues for installing SMAPI:
- you don't need to install mono or dotnet (.NET) runtime if you are running relatively up-to-date versions of Linux
- disable "Compatibility - Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" if you have this enabled (the game may run as usual but it won't run the modded version)
- When you uninstall the game, make sure you also delete the Stardew Valley folder for a clean uninstall. Uninstalling via steam will have leftover files

I do know there aren't seasonal ones done for them yet, I saw it happen to my game too. Might just need to suffer with it until the artist updates the mod again

So I'm doing the Mac (Steam) route, on step 2, it tells me to Create a file SMAPI_multiplayer.command on your desktop. , but then step 3, i change the name of the file, and then step 4, i put it in the right place, and i make it executable, but i get the exact error in step 6, and when i tried the code to fix it, it doesn't work

Question: Are you using this version of DCBurger Portraits? And you need to use Portraiture for 1.6 as it's the only HD portrait mod currently working for 1.6 https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/999

Sometimes mod author's will forget to update the 'Manifest version' inside the manifest version, so although stardrop says that the version is 1.0.2 it IS the 1.0.3 version the mod author just forgot to update inside the mod to say 1.0.3
You can just change the version manually by opening the manifest.json and changing the version number from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3
i find painful that as a programming student i don't know how to do that

How do I tell if my crappy laptop can run mods? 😅 - My old Gateway laptop could barley run 150 mods on SDV and I'm too scared to test it on my Lenovo laptop because It can't run a 300 modded Minecraft (My old Gateway laptop could though)
I figure this is a longshot, but one of the mods me and friends used, Iridium Tools Patch, stopped working with SMAPI 4.0.8.
It's still listed as compatible on the website, so not sure if something can be done to get it running again? It's meant to change the iridium tools like the hoe and watering can to 5x5 range.
I had a crappy Lenovo before and it ran mods just fine. I don't know bAD yours is but maybe try only a few mods ?
I've had one crash with 112 operator, it can't even load any modded Minecraft packs, doesn't like running discord in the background if someone has their camera on while in a vc and can't run wallpaper engine without freaking out 🫠 - So, I dunno how well it'll like Modded SDV - but then again, all I want to do is play SDV Expanded which shouldn't be to stress heavy on the laptop (I hope - I know nothing about mods)
Stardew itself is p smol by modern standards
So you can usually install 10-20 mods even on a potato
which is enough for SVE
Mind you, SVE is a very hefty modpack so I would advise not branching out any further
But the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work
On my old PC (which was a potato) I could only get modded to work if I skipped the intro otherwise it would crash, although it will take a long time for the save to 'load' so don't try clicking anything as it loads, once the first day is done and the game is saved (to day two) then the massive wait time is over and it should take a lot less to load the save

Tis what I do, in shame for my Big craftable recipes and VMV. I couldn't figure out how to just add in new outputs and not replace the old ones so I just copied the all the outputs + the new ones if you have VMV installed

Something weird just happened.
I'm playing SVE and am on the 26th of summer year 1. It's raining. I entered town from the beach, and there was a dark blue flash on my screen as if a cutscene was about to start. No skip button, though. But it was totally silent and then it just disappeared. Was on screen for like, one second.
Normally, when a cutscene happens, I'm kicked off my horse. It happened this time, so I think it was a cutscene. Every other cutscene has played just fine for me. I'm not exactly sure what's going on. I restarted the day multiple times and it keeps happening.
Because it might be a heart event, I'll give the hearts I have. Probably need a separate post for this lol

i unlocked community center like normal, and did the wizard quest for it, but as soon as i got the ability to read junimo scrolls i used the cheat menu to check of all the vanilla bundles and went to sleep after watching the completion CC that played when i exited the CC
the next day i closed the game (bc i forgot item spawner), reopened, and completed your bundle, then went to sleep. i'm pretty sure it was monday now, so i slept again to skip to tuesday and started watching the NPCs
Emily is straight up just leaving reality. tbh it kinda suits her. Weird tho

I have Seasonal Garden Farmhouse V2 (unofficial), and Permanent Cellars installed.
I also have Seasonal Cute Cellar installed.
However, even uninstalling Seasonal Cute Cellar I get 2 cellar entrances. One in the middle of kitchen in the largest house upgrade and the standard one in the lower right of the left side of the home..
I tried the Secret Garden House and have the same issue. I cannot figure out what mod could be doing this as none of the others deal with the Cellar.
I do have a custom cave and farm with Farm Type Manager, but not sure that would be doing it. I've am using Unhardcoded Warps enabled through Farmhouse fixes so I'm really not sure what is happening.
I've even tried uninstalling VPR Pelican Town Redraw and Farm Type Manager and Expanded Access Maps - still can't figure out the problem.
I even tried making a content patch to try to fix the warp hard points which I'm sure did nothing.

Steps:
- Access your Steam settings and turn OFF those two configs:
- The "Beta Steam testing"
- The Steam overlay during gaming
- For Linux players specifically (not sure if applicable on Windows too, perhaps yes):
- Go to your Stardew Valley game page on your Library in Steam. Search for the engine icon > Properties, and activate the proton stuff (the most recent excluding the top newest).
I've uninstalled everything dealing with maps. This save has extensive use of the CBJ because I was tryign to recreate on a new save by the by.
or at least everything I thought was dealing with the maps anyway. LOL
(not for the SMAPI log)
Tested the day again without my horse. Still had that weird blue flash on my screen.

It doesn't look like there are any cutscenes from SVE that I'm able to trigger under the conditions. This is so weird.

A fresh save once perm cellers was uninstalled worked. However the cellar stairs are in middle of floor adn not off to the side XD

latest version still working normally on mine. the license will start the next day after you set up the store (not immediately). you might want to try to sleep and see if it working. and Config setting for store are under "Building Store Setting", not "House Visitor" also

see the third box always not being ticked? means that not a single cellar patch is being applied, those stairs you have are vanilla
which is why perm cellars actually puts them in correct place. Fun times.
Now to figure out what I need to remove or edit to fix that <_<

Okay I can't send log rn but like. I had ridgeside working perfectly fine and now it says it's not installed but I can see it and it is the most recent version has anyone had that happen

It's the most recent version of ridgeside I have not moved it, renamed it, or reinstalled it or anything to it since it was last working but now it says the file isn't there

and yes I did expect to not see any flooring because the maps included ask for .[tilesheets] instead of [tilesheets], so they can't be found with cabins enabled
Hey! Maybe someone can help me: I have a "very small" amount of mods installed (about 400+ - when and how did that even happen?), and I figured out that many of the recipes for cooking that I learned, aren't cookable. I can see them as learned in the main menu, but they're grayed out when using the stove (the greyed out with ??? as name, not the one for missing ingredients). I am not 100% sure, but it seems that only recipes I bought are affected. And of course I don't really know, which recipe is from which mod. 
I still have the original download folder maybe I'll try extracting it and installing it again
Yeah, without the log that's the only troubleshooting step you can do: delete it from your mods folder, re-add it from the download zip.

it is auto "cellar fix: True" so I'll try making it false

without the permanent cellar you don't see any stairs leading to the cellar unless you have a cellar to lead to
that's why after removing it you only saw the ones added by farmhouse lights
and making cellar false allowed me to use Farmhouse Lights again. Which is fine, the cellar I'm using has lights
Ah yeah, that makes a lot of sense, especially just on the largest house

That depends on the mods
NPC Map Locations requires the host to have it installed, but vanilla farmhands can join; anything that alters where NPCs are will need everyone to have it installed; mods that replace a visual asset can be installed on just farmhand/host but things that add additional animal breeds or w/e will need everyone to have them
as an example: a mod that makes Brown Cows look like deer - fine to have mismatched
