Soooo question, I set it to where steam would launch SMAPI when opening the game, but now I want it to not do that lmao, how do I make it not do that?
remove the launch directory you put in the steam settings?
that directory made it so the game launches via smapi so just remove it and it should stop

hmm, try restarting steam, if that doesnt work, try going into the game directory and just running "stardew valley.exe" if that doesnt do it, run the smapi installer to uninstall it (it wont uninstall any mods no worries)

hello!! I have a somewhat strange problem. I get this error, because of the Market Day mod, which is no longer available. The mod had a ''Random NPC'' and now I get this error even though it has already been deleted (I guess because the NPCs are already saved in my games) What can I do so that I don't get this error? Or do I just let it be and that's it?

You can still play the vanilla game after having installed SMAPI. There's a few approaches:
- In your game folder, run
StardewValley.exedirectly. - Or if you're playing through Steam or GOG on a Windows device: clear your launch options, then select play from your game client. See the

Modsfolder to something else. Then launching the game will run SMAPI but with no mods loaded. - Or set up SMAPI as a custom game in Steam. See the

heyy, im a current mod user, ive made a world for my friends to join, so far one of them has been able to join, but the other, he put the mods into the correct folder but hes getting a lot of red text error logs and i have no idea what they mean, we have all the same mods. he can join my game but when hes finished making his character, clicks play his screen is completely black

Json Assets is needed for a few mods still. It just depends on what you have
I'd delete it though because your copy isnt working anyways
you have the wrong json assets version, it's only needed for pre 1.6 mods mostly

Is the camera issue of the SVE likability event happening to multiplayer hosts in the stardrop a known issue? Is there a fix?
Its not totally up to date to 1.6 yet but someone has a PR on GitHub that implements the 1.6 stuff (and proper new costs which also changed in 1.6). I'm actually running that PR which I built myself but I haven't built the cabin in game yet to test lol. I'm sure Pathos will review the PR when he has time, this mod isn't in the priority list understandably and he's been busy

I've been having issues with the SMAPI loader
I download the SMAPI 4.0.8 and extract the files to the mods folder but then when I launch the game I'm told; " Oops! You're running Stardew Valley 1.6.8, but this version of SMAPI is only compatible up to Stardew Valley 1.5.6. Please check for a newer version of SMAPI: https://smapi.io."
I've tried downloading the files from Nexus, Curse, and Github, and none of them have worked

Then that's a no. Try launching directly from SMAPI in your steam apps folder see what happens
It'll likely be under something like program files > steam > steam apps > common > Stardew
Just try launching from SMAPI without steam and see what happens
I'm suspecting your steam path needs to be redirected to current SMAPI installation, even if the path looks correct. It sounds like steam is still using the older version despite that you've downloaded the newer one

The CP Baechu somehow doesn't come with its own folder, so you need to create your own folder for it in the Mods folder, then put the Baechu contents there. There should be four: a folder named assets as well as config.json, manifest.json and content.json.

so uh... its been reported but the other person unlike me crashed trying to do said action. for me disabling mods just straight up doesnt work and config edits dont save. this is why my log kept looking the same over and over when i tried to change things. only noticed it because of ferngil CCM being disabled in stardrop but then showing up in game. it also seems to, on launch, enable ALL mods. which is extremely problematic.

so this might be a bug with that specific mod thats being worked on
waiting till a patch is up is an option
my game just crashed, this is the first time it happens and these 2 errors are the only ones that appear in the LOG, although they have been appearing for a while but this is the first time it crashes.

the pierre rain error can be ignored
its not game ending and should be patched in a hotfix
it seems that theres a missing dependency file for a mod that crashed your game
do you have all the required mods for the poly mod?
remove the mod then go to the nexus page and install it again
also update these mods

I think there is a known incompatibility issue with Custom Spouse Rooms and PolyamorySweet
I'd like to suggest removing that one to check

You have a second copy of Content Patcher in the CJB Item Spawner folder, remove it

yes, those 2 were in conflict, I didn't see the girlfriends' rooms so I deactivated PolyamorySweet Rooms and now everything works fine, although I get that error, it was never a problem by itself. as I mentioned both errors appeared some time ago but now the game crashes and I don't get another error.
can you refer to the replies i made?
troubleshooted the mod with another user a few hours ago and it worked fine, i think youre missing some files in it

I think you're on the right track with the outdated Custom Spouse Rooms being to blame, vampire_crab13. PolyAm is compatible with at least one of the newer versions you linked.
the error thats causing the crash states that one of the dependencies is missing an xnb file or it cant be found; id recommend removing it and all the other related mods from the mod folder and redownloading, or just not using it altogether

would it be a good idea to remove both the poly mod (and dependencies) and the custom rooms mod, then redownload the poly mod (and dep) and download the custom rooms - continued mod instead
To verify: when you are updating the mods, are you completely deleting the mod's folder and then unzipping the new one and moving it in to the Mods folder?
Overwriting instead of a clean delete and replace can cause that missing XNB message if a file structure has changed.

would be a good idea to upload the logs again after just to check
If you are worried about losing config options that particular file can be moved into the new folder.

anyone well-verse with Rich Presence for Discord mod?
on my side it's only showing up like this: #images-and-memes message
but other people say it's showing up as intended for them. how do I fix it from my side?
steps I've done:
- Restarted Discord and SMAPI (not fixed)
- Restarted my PC (not fixed)
- Deleted my temp file (fixed it for a while. but now it's back to this again)
Previously, it has been suggested to try running SMAPI as admin to make it work with Discord Rich Presence
I haven't used it myself, but I have definitely seen that listed as a solution before in this channel!
sadly I already have it run as admin in properties 😦
does it also look like "running SMAPI" from your end when you look at my status?

unfortunate, the nexus post that had your same issue was a recent one (posted the 28th) so there could be a bug with the latest stardew hotfix and this mod; it might be fixed in the future so check the page where you downloaded it

well i had to remove quite a few mods recently
and still my game is half broken
ahm wont even attempt to load
had to comb through all my mods cause the 1.6 caused missing textures, turns out it was the "they have no eyes mod"
the constant read walls from outdated mods is background noise to my mushroom foraging
oh yeah, ahm has been acting up a lot lately, my save didnt even recognise it
