did you try the "ignoring" mode with dynamic flooring?
To ignore flooring placement restrictions, hold down the ignore button (default Left Shift) when placing.
This allows you to place flooring anywhere on any location.

This happens when the mod installed to a pre-existing save and happens with any farmhouse mod so it's a game bug rather than a bug with this mod.

yea but that bug is is just floor tiling since he posted the whole house
and not just the room with the trim messing up the floor
and incidentally this is also their only room where the trim uses the wrong flooring

i haven't done this on a mac in a while, but you might be able to drag the proxy icon from a Finder window into that terminal to paste the path automatically

time was on the title bar of the Finder window, next to the path/name/etc was a little folder icon, the proxy icon

you could do extremely useful things with it, like drag it into a terminal to automatically paste the directory path

Then I reinstalled version 13.8.6 but many of my mods no longer appear. With 3.8 run but not all my mods appear, I played it 30 minutes ago and everything was fine but I saw that there was an update, I updated it according to me and many mods no longer appear nor does it mark them with an error

I think what happened is that when you ran the SMAPI 4.0.0 installer, it might have over-ridden your Mods folder

You've accidentally updated Content Patcher to 2.0.0 - which is only for SMAPI 4.0.0. You will need to redownload the older version of Content Patcher

Hello! Is it ok to ask for help to patch the mod "Mister Qi Is a Real NPC" (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/16724) in order for it to work with Stardew Valley Expanded in my personal game? Here is the error in smapi:
[Content Patcher] Two content packs want to load the 'Data/Events/SkullCave' asset (Mister Qi is a Real NPC and Stardew Valley Expanded). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
When I checked the comments on the page, someone said they had patched the mod to work and provided code, but I’m not 100% sure what to replace, and a comment for clarification on the modpage hasn’t gotten a reply.
So in the content.json file, this is what it has for Events:

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

It might seem odd, but at least they have the game kind of working. Steam for Linux will no longer work on a Chromebook, Very Dissappointing.

Hi I downloaded smapi for android and download some modes and I was not able to go into any gui like rearranging artifact or build building so i tried removing all the mods they save crashes upon loading

It's a mod called GH's Peach Farmer Body Type(female)
I use this to convert xnb to cp btw 
Someone else had an issue with that particular mod a while ago (like, in 2022), and they were directed to download the CP version that exists in a blog post for the mod: https://m.blog.naver.com/codnjsdl8235/222314151470
Scroll down for the mod file and try that one instead of the converted XNB you made.
I'm using the farm extended mod and for some reason the quarry portion isn't resetting. I mined it the first day and it hasn't spawned new stones.
I have to get some sleep, but hopefully if you have further issues, someone else will be able to come and help you out!

did you install the farm type manager version that the mod includes in the download? it handles the quarry spawns and other stuff. it's an older version though so it might not be compatible with newer farm type manager content packs. it could have also broken with game or other updates i guess. it's possible to convert it to the current content pack format as well with some effort so it would work with the current farm type manager version https://github.com/Esca-MMC/FarmTypeManager?tab=readme-ov-file#content-packs

Hey, my games bugged and Cabins arent appearing in Robins menu, so i used debug to spawn in extra cabins since i chose to only start with 1. When i go in the cabin and try to pick up the parsnips, it says the package belongs to someone else. How can i fix this?
I also noticed there is two other people registered to this save, but only my friend and i have joined. Maybe its chosen one of them as the owner? How do i remove ghost accounts from my world?

Since sve map changes are... big, most mods that also changes sections of the map will most probably be incompatible unless they are changed to fit for sve only 😅

If none of your mods are doing it, it's possible that something baseline is fucky

Hey guys! I'm having some trouble getting one of my mods to function, and a friend suggested I message here. I've added a whole bunch of mead mods and the custom honeys all work fine, the sprites show up and even the base (wild honey) mead sprite works fine, but the custom meads aren't labeled as such, and their corresponding sprite isnt used. I've been going though file dependencies and json files all day but have come up with nothing. Can anyone help me get my custom meads up and running 😅😂
how does the smapi thing work? I mod normally with curseforge since its what my sister uses (shes only 15 doesnt understad big mods) but I wanna make sure her game looks exactly how she wants it to

we only used it for health bars which worked fine for about a week 😭
SMAPI (Stardew Modding API) is geared specifically for Stardew Valley and as such tends to be much more reliable than more general modloaders/managers, and it's still pretty easy to use!

hi, i need some help. I recently installed a number of json asset mods (ppja and Margo combat), and was testing them in multiplayer, and now I have a problem that is persisting through saves where Artisan Valley machines are not synced up between myself and my friend. They put down a drying rack, and it worked normally for them, but I see a coffee press and item lookup returns ??? and it causes a null reference exception error when I try to place it. When I spawn and put down machines that work as normal for me, it shows up as vanilla items like the clothing catalogue, and the correlation is consistent. This happened in one save initially, but has persisted into an entirely new, fresh save too. I’ve reinstalled the game, reinstalled / deleted mods affecting the error, tried deleting all ppja content and sleeping, etc. the error first occurred after editing some of the MARGO combat mod mid playthru, i think? but i’m uncertain, it was a couple days ago

One of you has PyTK and the other doesn't, then there's Custom Tokens, Remote Fridge storage, I can go on

Haiii so uh, I had a friend teach me how to do modded stardew, with SMAPI and Stardrop. I am trying to help my bf get modded stardew up and running but everything he does when he opens Stardew Modding API, the console command says Error, no Manifest.json file. But i watched him put the file with the manifest into the mods folder. can someone help us? its been a hot, minute since i've done this and the person who helped me is Unavailable.

Sorry the only way for me to see what was happening that could be wrong is to have him stream his screen on discord Dx
and it said to uninstall Smapi so he did and then reinstalled it but its still giving the manifiest.json error
So, with Stardrop, you shouldn't be able to see it at all as it reads the contents of compressed folders dropped into the-

the ones i have which i had already working and installed prior to meeting him with the help of @brave lotus shes also currently trying to help me rn. but that was back in december i had deleted stardew for a peried because of space issues. now i reinstalled it but because i didnt delete stardrop and it kept all my mods i believe is why it still works for me lol i just dont remember how to help him or get it to work. thats the only error that keeps popping up in the console command for Smapi
Can you link the mod and a screen of it telling him to uninstall Smapi? Because he might be trying to shove the Smapi installer into the mod folder, trying to shove Stardrop into the Mod folder or something else into I want to see what our Governor bot has to say.

Well, one of my guesses
Stardrop isn’t supposed to be installed inside of the Mods folder, it's not a mod.
Also Smapi itself was installed incorrectly. Have him run the Smapi launcher for windows again. It isn't telling us to Uninstall it, it's telling you he needs to relaunch the installer
They have reinstalled it a few times and it comes up with the same issue
could the issue be the fact the mods were all in stardrop, however stardrop was not actually installed?

Yeah, that's what the other issue is.
Stardrop can't function inside of the Mods Folder, nor have I seen a "stardrop installed mods" folder either

no no Stardrop installed mods was the name of the folder we made so we knew which folder it was lmao. i would just go with the logs. if someone else runs into this problem. also make sure both parties dont have ADHD brain and forget about stardrop either

Just ask if they actually installed Stardrop and ran it, yeah. I usually can tell.
Most of the time it's them shoving Stardrop into the Mods folder 
"If you are using Smapi and Stardrop to hold onto your mods, make sure you have the link for the folder destination for Stardrop. when you download and install Stardrop you will put said link into the folder destination for Smapi path in Stardrop once it is open. from there Stardrop with import all your mods into itself and then everything should work.
Prior to this we had the mods in a mod folder,
{Mods/StardropInstalledMods}
basicially a folder inside a folder and then the mods
once all the mods were set in place and then you used the link you get from Smapi and you put it into the Stardrop Smapi path and set it in stone, all mods will appear and launch will be great and work."

Hi! I installed a custom map (which required me to change my farm.xnb file). I backed up my old file and now after removing the new xnb file and putting back my old one it doesnt change it back to the original standard farm and in going crazy. 😔

i think this has been asked before, but i couldn't see any solid responses, has anyone experienced the "custom casks" mod not seeming to work? if so, is there any advice for it?
i've configured it through the config files, and through the mod config in game, but even if i set it at 56x (which according to its page should reduce the aging time to 1 day) it still doesn't seem to be changing the amount of time it takes to age at all

So, Get Glam likes to send false flags but it very much is outdated, the issue seems to straight up be files missing from SVE, but that's not the only issue
Friends Forever is going to probably die in two days, it's a really old C# mod. Might as well go with CJB Cheats as it has a friendship decay tickbox option too, and is maintained by Pathos.
I have no clue what FuryCore even does as it's a hidden C# mod not publicly listed on Nexus, but I’m too busy to check everywhere else.
Oh, and you have a really, really old version of DGA, so old it doesn't work.
I would delete SVE and re-download it.

You have options if you are worried that the update to 1.6 will break your modded save.

Copy and move your game folder to a new location on your computer and launch SDV directly from that new location. For easier access, pin the new location to your favorites or create a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop!

Rename the game folder to "Stardew Valley 1.5.6" and launch SDV directly from that new location. NOTE: You will not be able to play through Steam anymore unless you also set up the game + SMAPI as a non-Steam game method, so keep that in mind if you care about total playtime hours or achievements.

Use this or Fast Loads.
That particular cutscene has been known to lag and cause temporary freezing, but it isn't a crash.
Just let it load and don't click when it whites out

i moved from my D drive to my C , my vortex mods went over , but bot the manual ones

Using Vortex Mod Manager with Stardew Valley has the risk of your mods not getting installed properly, and other issues. Consider doing manual mod installation or using Stardrop, a mod manager that was purpose built for SDV, instead!
I’ve installed smapi and added the command from the prompt to the Launch Options on Steam for the game. I try running the game, it opens a command prompt for a second, then closes and game doesn’t run at all.
I don’t have a smapi log either.
Even running the ModdingAPI.exe opens a cmd prompt for a second and then closes and doesn’t do anything either. I’m not too sure where I went wrong….

Ok, here's a few things to confirm:
- does the vanilla game launch?
- which version of smapi did you install?
You might try installing .NET on your machine as googling the missing dll seems to indicate it's part of .NET
But I'm still confused about why the error is happening in the first place
You can also try deleting the deps file and launching smapi again as I believe SMAPI auto-generates the deps file if it's missing or incorrect

You are allowed to delete them, but people generally don't
Console Commands give you commands you can type into the console to rapidly debug stuff
Smart
Error Handler keeps the game from crashing when you uninstall stuff
And Save Backup saves backups of your saves in case things go wrong
Error handling is always an amazing tool in all coding

Hi, could someone help me out? ive been trying to figure it out on my own and with the wiki and other resources for days but nothing seems to help, basically it seems like some of my mods aren't working although there are no errors when smapi runs. i tried elle's town animals and some of the animals show, but theres one that doesnt even tho i have set to show. then i just tried to use the peach body mod and that didnt work either, but alot of other things are working. im on steam deck btw!

Your game path is atypical - is the D:\ drive an external?
Your game path should look something like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley

When you boot the game in the SMAPI window there will be purple text that will tell you if a mod has an update available
note for some mods you may need to check manually

, does anyone know why MARGO's(Modular Gameplay Overhaul) Rascal profession doesn't work? As in you cannot use the secondary ammo mechanic at all
theres supposed to be a slot here but it doesnt show up at all
The purple thing only happens if the mod creator maintain both the internal version in the manifest and the mod version on Nexus. Sometimes they don't do that, so you may have to check manually, even on Nexus. (but generally yeah, the ones outside Nexus wouldn't be captured by SMAPI)

I spent like 3 days trying to add sve, ridgeside, and east scarp together, i got east scarp working but once i finally finished importing sve and ridgeside, literally everything stopped working
Apparently i have duplicate cp, stf, saat, and ftm, but i searched the files and i cant find it

coii has cp versions of their mods on their respective pages, get those instead

I'd recommend going through everyone of them and checking the required mods and verify you have them if not install them ^_^

wondering if anyone knows anything about the expanded storage mod with 1.6? it simply gives you two more rows in chests (5 rows total), but since 1.6 is giving us bigger chest options I’m worried that if I uninstall the mod before moving items that fill the chest past the regular capacity (3 rows) that I’ll lose said items and/or break my game lol; any suggestions would be appreciated! :)

hey, theres one other question i jus wanna double check i have right. i dont use a mod manager. tomorrow when the update comes out i dont want to play with my 100+ mods. so i remove the mods out of my mods folder, save them somehwere else, just add SVE and then create a new save with the update, and swap when i want?

how can i add mods to my co-op farm
same as in singleplayer but you have to make sure that everyone playing has the exact same list of mods
some mods also simply don't support multiplayer (we don't have a list), so there may be some you won't be able to use
Ik this isn't the channel but I couldn't find a channel for it so my Android smapi is crashing and idk which mod is doing it it happened ever since I installed RSV but I uninstalled all mods related to it pls help here are my mods

Unfortunately, when it comes to Android you're kind of on your own as not many people play with it, and the few that do all have various issues. Unlike PC there aren't any resident experts with experience.

When you want your mod save you backed up use the shortcut you made on your desktop
So if you use steam play 1.6 through steam etc
okay, but that save i backed up has all my mods on it. so tomorrow when i remove them all out of my mods folder to play 1.6 with no mods, will i have to add them back in to play my 1.5 modded backup save?
idk if that makes sense

yea so i downloaded a new mod and put it in my normal mods folder, it added to the saved backup too. then i deleted it and it deleted in both :/

So a copy (two separate folders)
A shortcut (a way to access the same folder)
Easy way to check, double click the shrtcut you made.
and in the file explorer, check where the path is.
if it says desktop/.... its a copy,
if its like C;/ ect, its a shortcut.
So let's delete those and do the backup again
ok i deleted both, im back on the main steam stardew folder now. do i press 'copy as path'? just to make sure.
